• Seema (6/5): Good location but missing in attention to detailing - Located on the back waters, it commands a good location. The property is old and needs a thorough overhaul. From broken air-conditioning to mal functioning faucets in my junior suite room, the property works on a 3plus star standards. Service and reaction time to issues such as poor cooling (which got resolved only with the intervention of the duty manager) or room service is slow. Breakfast was the most disappointment fare. But the front desk staff were polite and responsive.

• Tulsi (5/5): Fine for a short stay - Location is great for a shikara boat ride. We arranged one privately and it took us 15 minutes to walk to the pick up point. The dining staff were super friendly and there were good vegetarian options for dinner. Breakfast more limited but the veggie options they had were nice enough. The hotel felt quite dark and a little run down. You can tell it was really luxurious once but needs some maintenance. Didn't see many staff members either.

• evyatar (9/5): - There was an amazing view from the room where we stayed. The hotel is well-maintained and clean; the design is a bit dated, but overall, it's perfectly fine. The staff was wonderful, especially Devanandana—the service she provided was perfect.
• Nayanesh (8/5): - The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately my daughter got a bout of Delhi belly and they were superb, arranged for a doctor to visit and asked how she was whenever we went down to reception.

• Seb (6/5): Inconsistent experience at this Ramada - The swimming pool and most of the staff were standouts. Quite a mixed bag. We had stayed here before the weekend and had a good experience. An upgrade and high standards of service. We were surprised at the low mark out of 10 overall (around 7.5) But our second visit after the weekend was a real disappointment. We were given a dismal room despite paying considerably more. Our room stank of damp, drawers and cupboards wouldn’t close, lights wouldn’t go out and failing WiFi. When we tried to highlight these problems., we had to go down to the reception because, despite promises, there was no response. The initial response was to try and cover the damp smell with a spray(!) and set up boosters on the wifi. We entered into a discussion with the manageress who promised to come and talk to us but then failed to turn up, nor even seek us out the next day. (Really poor leadership). Eventually we were given a much better room where things actually worked. But we should never have been given such a shabby room with so many things sub-standard. And we were disappointed at the slow method of dealing with the issues. Having stayed at the Ramadas in Amritsar and Chandigarh, this was a very disappointing experience.

• Anjali (8/5): A memorable and relaxing stay with excellent hospitality and great food. - We had a wonderful stay at Ramada Resort Alleppey! A special thanks to Unni Maya for her excellent support and hospitality throughout our visit. She truly made our experience even more pleasant. The boating experience was incredibly relaxing — we were told it would be 2 hours, but we actually got to enjoy it for 5 hours, which was such a pleasant surprise! It was something we’ve never experienced before by backwaters of Alleppey Punnamada lake, Kuttanad and Vembanadu lake. A huge thanks to Ramada’s lovely team. The food was absolutely yummy, both on the boat and through room service. The room service was amazing — very prompt and attentive. The view from our room was simply fantabulous with backwaters and added so much to the overall experience. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The food service on the boat was absolutely awesome. My sincere apologies as I forgot the name of the wonderful and lovely girl who supported us in the catering area on 14th Dec 2025 afternoon session but she truly deserves special appreciation. Many thanks for her great support and warm hospitality! However, there are a few areas that could be improved. The mattress was not very comfortable and the bathroom experienced a clogging issue. While maintenance and overall upkeep could be better, we truly appreciate that the technician attended to the problem promptly when we informed the staff. Overall, it was a memorable and relaxing stay. Highly recommended!

The complimentary boat trip was also very welcome. Breakfast was good, the bar was lovely, dinner was fine. Would happily stay again should we be back this way. Staff are great, it was very clean, the bed was gigantic and comfy. Suspect those one start reviews are fake??? No umbrella/ sunshade around the pool so zero shade which meat we didn't use it.

• Yogendra (7/5): Excellent location and very friendly staff - The location of the hotel is excellent, just at the backwater. The hotel also has cruise services. The 24th December dinner was really grand. However, the breakfast and dinner the next day were not up to standard. The rooms and lift were a little smelly, and the hotel needs to improve upon that. The evening high tea was also not really high. Some more snacks may be added to it.

The hotel staff at reception, dining rooms, housekeeping, etc are excellent , very polite and courteous. The quality of food at dinner time was really good including the drinks. Though I feel like they could have offered at least one more snack option and some cool drink too at the boat. The hotel's spa was good. Breakfast spread was okay, but they carried forward the same lunch options into dinner, and that was disappointing for us. Their staff was courteous. Other boat options can be explored by others.

• Eve (7/5): Stayed here as promised to the owner’s nephew in London, and handed his written message to reception Beautiful hotel wit - Stunning views overlooking the river and houseboats — one of the best aspects of the stay. Reception staff were fantastic – warm, professional, and always helpful. Ground-floor restaurant staff were excellent, providing friendly and attentive service. The barman upstairs was polite and pleasant, standing out from the rest of the bar staff. Most staff in the upstairs bar (especially the ladies) appeared uninterested, unwelcoming, and acted as if every request was a trouble. Poor attitude and lack of effort – many just stood around and didn’t engage or maintain the area (7th floor Bar) Cleanliness issues – an empty cigarette pack we left on a table in the smoking area stayed there all night and was still there the next morning, despite the bar not being busy. (7th Floor Bar)

• Dovina PILLAY-NAIKEN (3/5): Not a true 5 star experience! - The location was very nice and our trip on the houseboat was a very pleasant experience. I also recommend the spa where the massage is beyond expectation. Well where to start. The restaurant staffs were not up to the standard except for Ms Minnu (waitress) who was very attentive and well trained. We stayed there for 2 days and on the second day there were multiple power cuts. The lift to the spa was no working.

The staff were so kind, helpful and attentive (a particular thank you to the woman at breakfast who went above and beyond!). The room was absolutely beautiful and the view was breathtaking. The staff let us check in early and upgraded our room without saying anything - we couldn’t believe it and are so grateful!! The facilities are wonderful, we made use of the pool and the gym and the breakfast was also phenomenal. They also helped book a boat tour which was lovely. Honestly this hotel deserves a much higher rating than it is currently at on Booking.com! We would highly recommend.

• Amit (8/5): - The Travel Desk Manager Mr Ananth helped coordinate our pick up and drop from the airport. Besides, arranging for sightseeing, he also arranged for a short cruise on the lake beside the property. He was kind and courteous. The staff was also really helpful and attentive. Will surely revisit. And recommend to all my friends. Wifi connection was bad.

• Jos (1/5): Horrible - Nothing to commend about good Air conditioned was not working in a star hotel Slept in hot oven When complaint some guy came I don’t think he is mechanic and told me not put a/c in 16 compressor will not take load and he adjusted it 19 and went. Nothing happens no air conditioned at all. Horrible stay. I lost rs 10000 plus for night for horrible stay. Very poor and worst.
