- Todd (8/5): - X
- IVETTE (10/5): - Buen desayuno y el personal muy amable.
Me encantó la cercanía al parque, la playa y restaurantes.
Recomiendo.
- Julian (10/5): Above and beyond - We absolutely loved this place. The staff was so friendly ans they went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. Theu treated us as if we were one of their own and helped answer any questions we had. Wendy and Ronaldo are wonderful people! Pura Vida. Thanks guys
- Richard (10/5): - The staff at this hotel were extremely welcoming. This is a great option for Manuel Antonio
- Joe (10/5): - Absolutely loved it, we saw all the other hotels nearby only after we arrived, and we're so glad this one was ours! Great value for money
- Rustom (10/5): - Fantastically situated between the National Park and the beach. Lovely room.
- Audrey (10/5): - We absolutely loved our stay at the hotel. The rooms were extremely clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and so helpful. There are so many fun things to do in close proximity to the hotel so u don’t need a car. We will definitely stay with them again!
- Catherine (10/5): - Great place!
- Rodrigo (10/5): Very close to the beach. - Very comfortable & cozy hotel. Besides it's closeness to the beach, it's also close to the world famous natural park and reserve of Manuel Antonio.
- Matias (10/5): - Great location, 200 meters from public beach and 200 meters from park entrance. Very nice hotel and super friendly staff. They even helped arrange my Covid test in my room.
- Karla (10/5): Paseo - Excelente servicio, el hotel está en muy buenas condiciones. El personal es muy amigable y servicial.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - This was a nice, clean, friendly service environment. It's walking distance to both Manuel Antonio national park and the public beach. It's also within a short ride of some really good restaurants, like El Avion. My only issue is that they didn't provide the advertised free breakfast, their food was subpar and expensive, especially compared to the really good food found in the local restaurants.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - We stayed for 7 days at the hotel. The property is located within walking distance to restaurants, bus stop, and Manuel Antonio Park. The property is well maintained and it's cleaned everyday, it's also very peaceful and quiet. The restaurant in the lower level is ok, would have liked if they had a broader selection of foods, but like I said the food was decent. I would definitely stay again at this hotel and would recommend it to anyone considering to stay close to Manuel Antonio Park.
- Abiel (8/5): - The owner was a little rough
- Anna (8/5): - The staff was helpful. The property was very elegant with tons of sitting areas. Everyone had their own porch sitting area along with porch light they could turn on to welcome them back at night. AC was heavenly!
- Verified traveler (6/5): - air conditioning was not working in our room when we arrived. It was fixed about an hour later, but it was HOT. Room was very small, hard to find a place for all 3 of our suitcases.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Wonderful Hotel. Friendly Staff. Very close to the main attractions of the area. Would definitely come back and stay here!
- Damien (6/5): Nice place - I stayed one night and it was correct. People are nice, the room was clean. Its bad luck because the AC has been leaking on the bed during the night. But it can happens, not their fault, it will be repaired. Also, I was on ground floor and I have been disturbed by the room above, hearing footstep during the night. It may be particular to the room I had. The breakfast was not included, but I found it a bit expensive, even if they made me pay 14$ instead of 16 wich is nice. The swimming pool was confortable. Also the hotel is idealy situated between the park and the beach, accessible within 200m.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Like: Location, pool
Dislike: Lack of coffee maker or free coffee in lobby
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great place to stay - Friendly service, great location, clean rooms and bathrooms. Few minutes walk to beach and National Park. Perfect for family, friends or couples.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Nice, near the beach (400 feet), near the park (500 feet), near good restaurants. Their restaurant seems expensive and by the comments not that good, we didn't try it though. The rest was good, a bit pricey but good. Wifi = useless
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Simple and clean. Location is ok, not much to do in the evenings.
- Keri (8/5): Perfect location - The reason we picked this hotel was for the location, and it met that requirement. It is equidistance from Playa Espadilla Norte and the entrance to Manuel Antonio Park. Close to some good places to eat - Marlins, Baldi’s Fresh, Sol Yogurt. I was disappointed by the hotel restaurant and bar. Not very flavorful breakfast or cocktails.
- upendra (10/5): Nice hotel with reasonable price - Overall our stay was very good. Hotel staff were very nice. Our room floor was not very clean. This hotel is located in a very convenient location and in a very beautiful surrounding.
- Philip (6/5): - We stayed 3 nights. The hotel is close to the public beach and the park entrance (100 - 200 yards). Our room was quiet, well-lit, but small. It came with 2 double (yes, double) beds, a fridge, ice bucket and safe.. There was no place to sit in the room. We'd have preferred 1 king or queen and a table with at least one chair. The shower had plenty of hot water but none in the sink. Per the front desk, this is the way the rooms were designed. The shower stall's tile floor got dangerously slick when wet, but no shower mat was provided; we used the stepout towel as a mat. Probably because the hotel is close to the ocean, used toilet paper was not to be thrown into the toilet but in a trash can next to it. AC worked well; the beds were comfortable. Daily maid service was good. The walk-in closet was quite large with adequate shelves, rods, and hangers. There were plenty of electrical outlets. Rooms and facilities on the second floor, including the pool, did not appear wheelchair accessible. Front desk staff were pleasant and helpful. Common areas were roofed but otherwise open air. We did not eat in the restaurant (meals seemed pricy to us) but did have several beverages. The smoothies were excellent and beer was priced fairly. Free parking was included. In all, the hotel was adequate but nothing special. If we were going back to M-A, we'd look at other places first but would be okay with returning to the Villa Bosque.
- Katia (8/5): - Hotel is in the perfect location: 1 block away from park's entrance. Lobby area and pool is inviting and beautiful. Staff at the front desk is super helpful and friendly. The only suggestion I have got is : invest in better mattresses, since they are not the softest or most comfortable. Otherwise, rooms are small but sufficient since most of the time you are in the park and nearby restaurants/shops/bars. This little town has a great atmosphere! Next time I visit, I will be staying here.
- Max (2/5): Double booked room, unpleasant staff - Double booked our room - no apology, refused to refund our money so we could stay elsewhere, forced us to therefore stay at another hotel they had booked for us up the road. The rudeness of the male member of staff who was dealing with this issue was quite staggering. The hotel itself is quite nice but walls are paper thin and we had disturbed sleep. My advice would go elsewhere as there are two other very nice hotels next door.
- Javier (4/5): Great host, bad facilities - the hotel owner is a great person, however the hotel doesnt reflect the cost of each night,
- Victor (8/5): Great location to Manuel Antonio Park - I loved staying here it was clean and near the National Park Manuel Antonio. The staff was super friendly. The only thing I didn't like was the fact that the bathrooms don't have fan and after taking a shower the floor was really wet other than that it was great. FYI... breakfast and food can be quite expensive. There is a hostel near the hotel where you can eat super delicious and cheap.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Nice hotel - This hotel is a short walk to the beach or manuel antonio. Good location and the staff is friendly. Howler monkeys in the tops of the trees visible from hotel.
- Verified traveler (8/5): The hotel was very nice, the grounds were beautiful - Everyone was very nice. Helen at the reservations desk made my trip exceptional. She helped me with tours, recommendations and even travel to the next city. Employees like her make trips memorable. The location is excellent being right down the street from the bus, across from the beach and ocean, walking distance to Manual Antonio and lots of nice eateries.
- Chuck (8/5): Excellent Location for Quepos. - The Hotel Villabosque is a nice hotel with, to me, the perfect location, for enjoying the Manuel Antonio beach area. The hotel property is very nice and has a local, on property, restaurant.
Things I liked:
1. Price was great compared to other properties nearby
2. Condition of overall property was excellent
3. Private balcony for our room...nice place to relax.
4. LOCATION - walk to all the beach areas and many little restaurant and shops and park
5. Staff was nice to talk to
Things I disliked:
1. Air conditioner was strained in the room and may have broken on the last night, as it couldn't reach the set temperature...us Gringos need A/C in Manuel Antonio...lol
2. Room size was smaller than I expected. My wife and I travel quite a bit, and this was the smallest hotel room we have dealt with. It was adequate, and proportional to the price, but we had to plan moving around, especially in the bathroom, for getting dressed to go out for beach or other activities. The hotel management offered a different room, but we didn't want to inconvenience them, nor use a two-bed accomodation.
Overall, a good property, though.
- Daniel (6/5): Good location but...... - Location is great close to all the attractions. But the service and the staffs are terrible. Every little additional services either require deposit or extra charges. This includes breakfast (not inclusive), beach towel (deposit), and Wifi (extra). The staffs did not give you a feeling of welcome or to serve.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great location - Food was fantastic for dinner. Just a short walk to Manuel Antonio national park and also to town
- Verified traveler (10/5): Very nice I loved the atmosphere - Awesome place great setting friendly staff good food and I loved the rooms very cute and the balconies were great complete with rocking chairs! The wild monkeys all around were so funny lots of wildlife to watch from my balcony and from the restaurant, I loved this place and did not want to leave!!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great Location, Friendly Staff, but Bad Internet - Pros: Excellent Location, Comfortable Room, Very Friendly Staff
Cons: Internet was Horrible, Room and Furniture Very Old
- Michelle (8/5): Nice hotel close to the Manuel Antonia Park - Our stay was great in the hotel but we got too much rain to enjoy the park.
- ciscokidz16 (10/5): Couldn't have stayed at a better place... - I loved it here.. loved everything.. perfect on a budget getaway, .. quaint and peaceful
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Nice hotel, next to beach and the park. Expensive compare to other hotels of same rating in Costa Rica but in line with Hotels in Manuel Antonio.
- tom (10/5): Great hotel! - The hotel was first rate and the staff was wonderful. A very short walk to both the beach and the park. Would definitely stay there again.
- AMEER (10/5): Amazing location, great hotel - Great location, right next to Manuel Antonio park - you can't beat the location. You can just cross the street to the beach or walk 2 minutes to the park entrance. A little far from the restaurants on the main road, but the hotel restaurant was delicious. Breakfast was great, and overall the hotel was clean and helpful at setting up excursions. There were bats on the otherwise of our window which were a little creepy, but overall was fine.
- Ilan (8/5): Good location - Good location. 200 m from Nacional Park Manuel Antonio.
Poor internet.
Over priced, but we got a better deal by hotels.com.
Service was good. Dinner at restaurant was good but expensive.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice place - In general a great place, superb location right next to the national park and 200 meters from the beach. A bit far from moat of the restaurant yet in a regular taxi drive.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice hotel close to beach and national park - Walkable distance to both beach and national park.
Staffs were really nice. Breakfast was tasty. Lunch at restaurant was good, too.
Our room was very humid and hot when we first walked in. I'm sure it's like that in other places nearby, too. We turned on the a/c whole time.
- Mark (8/5): Good little property with a great location - Great location and very charming property. The staff is super-nice, though not very helpful with information that is off-property. While the room is comfortable and beautiful, there are a couple of places where it could be improved:
-- bed is rock-hard
-- the shower head blasts enough water to power-clean an elephant, and subsequnetly leaves the bathroom floor soaked (squishy bath towels, etc)
-- room has a musty odor -- not "smell of death" bad, but definitely present. This may be uncontrollable (given the location/climate). The dehumidifier in the room seemed to help a bit, but didn't completely resolve the problem.
- samara (8/5): - Me and my husband we had a great stay at villabosque. The location is amazing close to manuel Antonio park, many restaurants and the beach. The service was great. We had to leave the hotel at 6 am and they prepared a breakfast for us to go. Thank you very much.
- Katherine (10/5): Manuel Antonio Adventure - This was my first trip to Costa Rica and was staying by myself for the first few days. The hotel staff was friendly and did everything they could to make me comfortable and welcome. My first room backed the maid service work room, so I asked to me moved and they worked with me to find one I liked. I'd recommend rooms 7-10 if they are available. The food is good, the beds are comfortable and the rooms have mini split AC units which was a must with the heat and humidity while I was there. It's a quaint tropical hotel.
It's walking distance to the national park, the beach and other restaurants.
- paul (6/5): Good hotel to sleep only... Poor bar and poll - Generally the hotel is ok... Nothing special...but you will find similar hotel condition in all Costa Rica. If you like to stay in the hotel and enjoy the poll, bar and relax this is not a good place
