• Winfried (10/5): Tolle Urlaubslocation zur Erholung und für Touren in die Umgebung - Sehr schöne Anlage im Grünen, ansspechende Gebäude, toll gepflegt mit altem Baumbestand und Zitronenbäumchen. Das gesamte Personal war stets freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Restaurant Casa Masi bietet tolles Essen der gehobenen Küche zu guten Preisen. Kein Handynetz auf dem Gelände, aber WLAN war vorhanden.
• Fritz (9/5): Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt. - Das Ambiente war für einen Toskana Urlaub außergewöhnlich. Frühstück in einer Villa mit gediegener Einrichtung und sehr reichhaltig. Das Personal war zuvorkommend und herzlich. Gerne hätten wir uns mehr mit Ihnen unterhalten , aber unsere Sprachkenntnisse waren zu dünn. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder, wenn wir gesund bleiben. ( 80+ ) Leider hat das Restaurant Masi erst ab 19Uhr geöffnet.
• WERNER (7/5): Sehr schöne Anlage mit alten dunklen Wohnungen die modernisiert gehören - Frühstück für 15 Euro ist OK und das Personal dort ist sehr freundlich (nicht so im Restaurant Casa Masi). Casa Masi ist aber ein sehr schönes Restaurant mit durchschnittlichen Essen. Preise ok, aber Portionen sehr klein. Zu alte Möbel in den Zimmern und Bad. Borgo ja, aber die Zeiten haben sich verändert und der Gast hat höhere Ansprüche als vor 40 Jahren und vor allem ist das ja kein billiger Borgo. Ich war vor Corona auch in Montaione, aber es hat sich leider zum negativen verändert. Fast keine Restaurants, nur kleine Speisekarten, kein Fisch, Infrastruktur in der Toskana ist fast zum erliegen gekommen. War 4x in der Toskana und jetzt ist es genug, es wird leider nur noch in wenige Orte und Städte investiert.

The restaurant is exceptional in terms of food, wine (including choice) and service. A very good continental breakfast is available. Very minor, but coffee/tea making facilities in the room would have been great, or the ability to buy drinks when the restaurant is closed.

The garden is beautiful and a wonderful place to relax in, there's plenty of spots in the sun and shadow. A few cute cats and a lovely dog, all well taken care of. Thank you for having us!
• Marloes (9/5): - Toen wij gereserveerd hadden voor het diner in het bijgelegen restaurant, versliepen wij ons gruwelijk (21:30 eten, 23:30 wakker….. vraag ons niet hoe). Toen we de walk of shame naar het restaurant liepen om mezelf duizendmaal te verontschuldigen, lachte de manager erg hard gaf ons een high five en deed (zonder dat we erom vroegen) zijn best om voor ons alsnog een bordje met ham en kaas, wat brood en twee glazen wijn te regelen! Ontzettende lieve mensen, gastvrij en super vriendelijk! Om nog maar te zwijgen over de prachtige locatie, schitterende tuin en fraaie gebouwen!

Uns fehlte eine Terrasse direkt am Appartement. Nächstes Mal würden wir ein Appartement im Erdgeschoss mit Garten bevorzugen. Außerdem zog leider durch den schönen alten Kamin in der Wohnung Zigarettenqualm ins Appartement.

• Amy (10/5): - Property is beautiful. The owners take much pride and care in their facility. We had a car to drive to hotel and it was located in the heart of Tuscany. Beautiful grounds and the reateraunt on site was amazing. Room did not have ac but did have fans. Large kitchen and large sitting area. Looks were clean and quiet. Very serene property and wonderful place to relax and get away for a few days. A car is necessary! Plenty of free parking onsite.

We stayed in an apartment which was lovely for our stay, the only thing I would say that was an inconvenience is that the bathroom in our apartment was downstairs from the master bedroom but other then that we will definitely be coming back here.

• Claire (10/5): a beautiful Tuscan getaway - we would live here if we could. beautiful family run place, far more care and attention to every little detail than you would ever expect in even the very best hotels. beautiful grounds set in vineyard and olive groves, resident animals, fantastic restaurant onsite and lovely staff. the setting is so beautiful that one afternoon we got back to our apartment to find people taking selfies with our apartment door. our one suggestion would be to designate one of the pools as adults only as it did get difficult to find a quiet spot to relax at times. but otherwise we found it difficult to find any fault with the place, we were so well looked after during our stay and are already planning our next visit.

• Gabriela (10/5): Beautiful place with great food - we just loved the place. Huge area with beautiful architecture, amazing gardens, and a tuscan feel. There are two big swimming pools, good sunbeds and a shower. The restaurant Casa Masi is very unique and you def need to book a table there during your stay. Both food and interior are lovely. The room we were staying in was nice although quite dark, and that was our only drawback. The breakfast was nice, for salty option there were boiled eggs, cheese, ham and tomatoes with cucumber salat that was the best we ate in Italy! There are plenty of funny cats all over the place, the staff was nice and helpful, the area felt relaxing and quiet. It is close to San Gimignano, and Volterra, and many other pretty places. We would definitely come back there! The rooms we stayed in was quite dark and even in the morning we did not get much sunlight. And the pillows were weird, very hard, and did not feel comfortable to both of us, so in general we did not sleep too well, but that maybe is a matter of preference.

• Burak (9/5): Superb - Borgo San Benedetto has a stunning garden filled with vibrant flowers and lemon trees. The beauty of the surroundings truly added to the overall charm of the place. The hotel also had a fantastic restaurant conveniently located next to the rooms. However, it's important to note that making a reservation in advance is crucial as the restaurant tends to be fully booked on most days. One aspect that could be improved upon is the internet connection and phone signals. Unfortunately, they were quite weak, and at times, nonexistent. It's advisable to ensure you have a reliable internet connection before your visit. Additionally, in the evenings, the internet speed could be quite slow, posing occasional difficulties. Despite this minor setback, my four-day stay at the hotel was an absolute delight. Every minute was enjoyable, and the ambiance made me feel right at home. I would definitely choose to stay there again in the future.

• valeria (10/5): Lugar de sonhos - Ficamos hospedados na casa que tem 5 suítes ( cada suite com um terraço) e uma cozinha . O hotel e lindo, cada detalhe encantou, os jardins são perfeitos. Fomos em 5 adultos e 3 crianças e usamos a cozinha da casa (que é muito completa) para o café da manhã. Tem supermercado na cidade a 5 min de carro. As crianças adoraram o campo de futebol e o parquinho. Ainda tem quadra de tênis e piscina. Jantamos uma noite no restaurante do hotel e adoramos. O atendimento foi maravilhoso. Vamos recomendar a todos os nossos amigos que forem à Toscana.

• Verified traveler (10/5): Ein Ort der Erholung und Entschleunigung - Eine super süße Anlage, mitten in der Toscana. Wir hatten eine wunderbare Zeit. Das Zimmer war groß, der Service super nett und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück war reichhaltig und landestypisch. Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt.
• Victor (10/5): Room was a little tight but in very good condition - Perfect place for staying a couple or days or a week. Lying in the middle of everything to take out on day-trips from San Benedetto. Many families with children stayed while we were there.
• Sue (10/5): Extremely beautiful location and accommodation. - The setting is absolutely gorgeous! The rustic villas, beautiful gardens and luxurious swimming pools make for an idyllic stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is perfect for exploring many of the beautiful surrounding Tuscan towns.
• Ian (8/5): - Great place to stay. Great location and centred ideal to visit Tuscany. Less than an hour to all major towns. Very rural and picturesque. Barn conversion accommodation quite dark. We preferred B&B room in main house. Restaurant very nice with generous portions. Fantastic staff and very helpful.
• Maria Angela (10/5): - La strategica posiziome dell'hotel ci ha permesso di visitare agevolmente i bellissimi borghi delle colline toscane tra la provincia di Siena e quella di Firenze. Certaldo e Vinci, borghi che hanno dato i natali ad illustri artisti quali Boccaccio e Leonardo, oltre che San Giminiano e Volterra.
• CHUL-HWA (10/5): 평화로운, 친절한, 맛있는 조식의, 훌륭한 호텔 - 평화로운 곳에 위치한 이 호텔은 호텔의 모든 스텝들이 친절하고 사려깊다. 또한 매우 맛있는 조식과 조식이 준비되는 장소는 호텔의 공용공간으로 깔끔하고 넓고 고급스럽게 단장되어 있는 곳으로 객실을 이용하는 모든 사람들이 시간에 상관없이 이용할 수 있다. 객실 공간 또한 매우 넓고 샤워실의 진한 허브향의 샴푸 및 샤워크림 또한 attractive하다. 같이 운영하는 식당인 'casa Masi' 또한 매우 분위기있는 맛집이다. 가족여행지로 전혀 모자라지 않는 호텔임. 후회하지 않을 선택!!!
• Wolfram (4/5): Schön aber zu teuer für das bestehende Angebot - Sehr kleines Doppelzimmer, 1 Schrank, ein Bett, sonst nichts. Hätte auch keinen Platz. Frühstück strikt erst ab 8.30 Uhr, schlecht, wenn man längere Ausflüge plant. Nachdem die Lage sehr einsam ist, nächster Ort 5 km entfernt, keine Alternativen zur Loacation. Kein W-Lan im Zimmer, keine deutschen TV-Sender. Restaurant daneben sehr gut, aber auch nicht günstig.
• Verified traveler (10/5): Lovely hotel in Tuscan countryside - Location Is rural but close to all major tourist attractions. Quiet location good restaurants close by and glorious views everywhere.
• Steffen (6/5): Rustikales Landhaus mit schönem Anwesen und Mücken - Schönes Anwesen mit zwei schönen Pools und Garten. Apartments sind rustikal eingerichtet. Im Badezimmer gab es keinen einzigen Haken oder Regal und keinen Fön. Hätte ich bei der Kategorie erwartet. Einige Apartments sind ohne Klimaanlage, am besten nachfragen, wenn man darauf Wert legt. Wlan ist sehr instabil und nur begrenzt verfügbar. Restaurant ist zu empfehlen, das Essen war sehr gut. Es gab wahnsinnig viele Mücken, daher unbedingt Autan o.ä. einpacken!!
• Verified traveler (10/5): Fantastisch plekje! - Fantastisch mooi plekje in Toscane. Vriendelijke mensen, goed verzorgd, heel ruim opgezet met mooie tuinen en op een goede locatie om Toscane te ontdekken. Heerlijk ontbijt ook.
• HANS (10/5): A restaurant with hotel - Excellent food - even as a hotel guest you should reserve a tble during weekend when the restaurant is very busy due to what it delivers. Good food, well prepared and excellent wines to be recommended by the son / sommelier. Serene surroundings and a very nice family running the lot. Do recommend. Be prepared to relax - no mobile signal and poor wifi. I think it is good...

• jean marc (10/5): Excellent séjour, établissement à recommander - Un séjour en famille entre Noël et nouvel an qui s'est remarquablement bien passé. Le personnel s'est montré très professionnel, et toujours à l'écoute de la clientèle nombreuse en cette période. Le restaurant sur place offre une très bonne table avec un excellent rapport qualité / cadre / prix. Nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir.

• Heidi (10/5): Wunderschöne parkähnliche Wohnanlage - Einwöchiger Aufenthalt im Juni 2015 mit 2 Erwachsenen und zwei Teenagern. Wir waren sehr überrascht von der parkähnlichen, sehr gepflegten Anlage mit zwei sauberen Swimmingpools + Kinderbecken mit Sonnenschirmen und viel Liegeplätze, der Ruhe in dem weitläufigen Gelände mit den wunderschönen Gästehäusern. Großer Spielplatz, Feuerstelle, großer Fußballplatz. Wir hatten ein Appartment im ersten Stock mit zwei Schlafzimmern, Wohnküche und Badezimmer (Dusche/WC). Alles bis ins Detail ausgestattet, nur Wohnzimmer etwas dunkel. Saubere Zimmer, komfortables Badezimmer, Fenster mit Netz und Fensterläden. Flachbild-TV mit zwei deutschen Programmen, zwei Sofas. Haben noch nie eine derart gut ausgestattete Ferienwohnung erlebt. Appartments im Erdgeschoß hatten kleinen heimeligen Garten mit Tisch und Bänken. Am Pool war nicht viel los, Kinder waren begeistert. Frühstücksbereich im Freien, überdacht, Frühstück war ausreichend, wie in Italien üblich, mit viel Kuchen, aber auch Wurst, Käse, Müsli, Marmelade usw. Hier kann man Urlaub machen, ohne das Haus verlassen zu müssen. Auto ist aber nötig. Wenige Kilometer weiter atemberaubende Fernsicht über toskanische Landschaft. Supermarkt in der Nähe. Sehr freundliche Mitarbeiter, keine Vorauskasse. Alles in allem unbedingt zu empfehlen!!

• Nicole (8/5): Beautiful surroundings - Such a beautiful setting. We stayed in the main guest house on our own and it was so quiet. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the people were lovely. The breakfast was basic but tasty. We were there in off season (February) so was a little cold but lovely.
• Alfonso (10/5): Lovely family owned hotel in stunning Tuscany - Located in gorgeous rural surroundings, Borgo San Benedetto is a number of rural buildings turned into comfortable hotel rooms and villas with plenty of space for large families. The staff are amazingly welcoming and friendly and will help in whichever way they can. The main building hosts the breakfast area as well as some rooms. The breakfast offers a combination of local cold meats, fresh fruit and some delicious cakes and pastries! There are two separate pools with plenty of loungers to enjoy the Tuscan sun. We were there at the end of October and still were able to enjoy a dip in the pool! In terms of location, the hotel is a comfortable drive away from Florence, Pisa, Siena, Lucca but most importantly the wonderful San Gimignano which we thoroughly recommend for a beautiful medieval town with incredible shops, restaurants and icecream! Overall a very pleasurable visit and we will be coming back!

• Frode (8/5): Trivelig gård - Skeptisk på veg ut i bushen, men veldig spesiell og trivelig gård. mottakelse av vertinnen sjøl når vi først fant henne, men mindre hyggelig når vi skulle sjekke ut. Manageren hevdet at vi kjn hadde betalt for to personer og mindre rom, til tross for at vi fremviste bekreftelsen fra hotels.com som viste nøyaktig hva vi hadde booket. Sa at det ikke var mulig å booke mindre enn 3 døgn (vi bodde et), selv om det jo beviselig var mulig. Ville ha mer penger og maste og forsøkte alle løsninger.. Kjedelig avslutning.
