Guest Reviews
- yesplease72 (8/5): Good Spot For a Drink - We stopped here at the restaurant that’s attached to this hotel that has street frontage, so members of the public, like us, can wander in and it doesn’t just cater for the hotel guests.
We ordered some bruschetta and some spring rolls. We were just after a snack.
I love garlic. I REALLY love garlic and you would want to love garlic if you order the bruschetta as it was covered in garlic. It was nearly too much for me, but I did enjoy it.
The spring rolls were fine. Nothing special. But nothing wrong with them either.
Good spot to drop by and grab a drink and to increase your garlic intake for the day! Ha
- LePhews (8/5): Frangipani Rooftop Bar, a Hidden Gem - Incredibly, we had been staying in the charmingly traditional hotel Sari Bunga for almost a week before deciding to check out Frangipani, the rooftop bar. From our room, the decking looked like it offered a pleasant rooftop space overlooking the wonderful old eponymous frangipani tree. Imagine our surprise when we discovered the most eclectic, tastefully decorated bar and dining area at the top of the stairs? A collection of vintage radios a couple of old record players, coloured glass lanterns and Art Deco lamps, wood carvings and masks, even an old red Telephone Box converted into the entrance. It is truly the most individually styled and unique bar I’ve yet seen in Bali. The surprise for us was that it was so unexpected: we hadn’t seen it on the hotel website or even mentioned on other reviews. In a place where bars really are two-a-penny, this is a real hidden gem.
- KarenC763 (10/5): Enjoyed every moment very clean and relaxing and no kids. - It was a very intimate 22 room hotel.
Simple and very clean.
Breakfast included and small to choose from but the best omelette we had cooked fresh every day.
It was close to everything and beach a 2 min walk. Where we had our beach chair every day for just 10 dollars for 2 of us. A Bintang brought to us is a lovely touch.
We had a ground floor room looking onto the pool through plants which was lovely.
We ate in the restaurant at night a few times and food was great kitchen so clean too.
Workers very pleasant and always working on the pretty gardens.
60 a night with breaky perfect.
Old reviews don’t apply as bathrooms redone and rooms painted.
- rob (10/5): - Really nice place to stay great staff will be back for sure
- louisekielynz (10/5): Authentic Balinese hotel with excellent Location, breakfast & great staff - A pleasure to return after 5 years. Have stayed here many times in last 20 years, have loved the location and staff. This time a big surprise with major renovations on the property. The room has always been spacious but the new bed & bathrooms are delightful. The refreshing pool relaxing and 3 minute walk to the beach and added bonus. Highly recommend for a hotel with genuine hospitality & feels like Indonesia. Thankyou fabulous staff, Lulu
- Anthony (8/5): - Close to beach. No room safe. Old hotel but condition is good. Breakfast very plain and limited choice but OK. Rooms with connecting door are noisy if you have an inconsiderate guest next door.
- missfish21 (10/5): Sari has been renovated and is sparkling. - We have been really impressed with the size of the room. It fresh white paint and renovated bathroom, makes it very comfortable. The location is so good. We love the balcony off our bedroom, overlooking the lush gardens. We will be back soon.
- FrequentFlier536246 (10/5): Fresh and refurbished - The hotel has only just re-opened after refurbishment. Previous posts may not reflect our experiences. Great location, great price, great staff, large rooms, very clean, new bathrooms with very large shower. Beds are comfortable and large. Everything is freshly painted. Gardens and pool are immaculate. This is our new favourite for affordable double 6 accommodation. Definitely worth a stay.
- Rikke (4/5): - Meget slidt hotel og ikke særlig god belliggenhed.
Måske udemærket til backpackere, men vil ikke anbefale det til familier med børn og par.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Over all good - Everything was good, not the biggest breakfast buffet but still nice, room was very clean and good service. Close to the beach but there’s also a nice pool with spots in the sun as well as in the shade.
- Magellanic47 (6/5): It served its purpose - Buyer beware.
You will get what you pay for.
The hotel is perfectly located and the hotel staffare very friendly.
The hotel however looks like it could use more than a fresh coat of paint.
The swimming pool area is well maintained.
The rooms.. Or at least mine. (a4).. I am not so sure.
Aircon worked.. There was warm water once or twice...
The room was refreshed everyday as requested.
But several other things detracted.. And made me wonder if this hotel does deserve all its stars..
The windows in the bathroom has "clean" written on them by a previous hotel guest
The shower curtain is severely stained by rust..
And the fridge in the room is actually rusting through..
There is WiFi.. Not fast.. But good enough to get a few messages through
Breakfast is served.. Generally eggs.. Nasi goreng or the like.. fresh fruit coffee/tea and toast and then fried bananas or crumpets as it goes..
I feel obliged to mention that this was a budget trip for me.. But I felt that the hotel was slipping in standards.. And not living up to "budget friendly"
Either way.. Great location.. Close to several warung and the beach and nightlife.. So if you are a student.. This place will be perfect!
- M.R.Thomson (8/5): A Slightly Worn Gem. - Checkin welcoming, but told could not pay accommodation with Mastercard Debit only credit as machine would only accept credit which is patently misinformed as paid by debit on checkout machine worked fine. On arrival room fridge was off, no cold water, could not find switch for TV and could not get aircon going (No information book in room) Bed was hard and creaked loudly, furniture worn and in need of upgrade. However staff acted quickly and fixed problems - room was large and big balcony overlooked lovely pool. Quiet restaurant served good breakfast and very nice meals promptly served by friendly staff, we ended up having many meals there, coffee service brought to the room as no kettle etc. Pool and gardens a lovely oasis 150m to Double Six Beach, heaps of beach bars and restaurants (Cocoon is great - not expensive) Shops line Jl.Arjuna in the other direction. Overall, after a shakey start we really enjoyed it there. Great value for the money.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - There is absolutely no reason to stay at this property. There are plenty of really nice clean places in Bali for a similar price. It is located on the edge of Seminyak, more Legian really. There is mould and damp everywhere. The outside needs about 10 hours with a high pressure hose. The bedding was clean and the rooms had been cleaned, but you can't fight 30 years of humidity and rising damp. Staff were lovely and efficient and gardens were well kept.
- Robclayson (8/5): Well placed, servicable hotel. - Arrived late on Saturday night 21/12/2019 & were checked into our room. Slight misunderstanding with the booking as we ended up on the 3rd floor not ground & my wife cannot climb stairs that easy. I had a discussion with night manager & he asked if we could stay the night there & shift rooms in the morning. So we did that & after breakfast on the next morning we were promptly shifted to room C-1. Totally Appreciate this & a Big thankyou to Nyoman as he assisted in this process. Right, small negative over & onto the positives. Rooms are spacious, clean & the two single beds are very comfortable. The fridge is a good size & you can load it up with drinks. The air conditioning works great & keeps the room super cool. The bathroom area has a massive bath & the shower has hot water all the time. Whilst the room could do with some maintenance here & there, it is quite functional & satisfied our needs. Out the front of the room, there is a couple of chairs to sit in. The pool is clean & has deck chairs around it. It is quite deep & a reasonable size for the area allocated. The rooms are set back of the street & reasonably quiet.
Breakfast is reasonable with Toast, eggs ( omelette or fried) noodles or rice, fruit platter. Tea, coffee & juice is on offer as well.
The hotel is located less than 200 meters from the beach & about a 10-15min walk from Jl Legian. Its a hard working hotel. The location is hard to beat & for the $ charged each night I have no complaints.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - We were upgraded for the first two nights, must have spoilt us as we got a shock when we got to our room to find no kettle! Staff were fantastic, Pool lovely and well maintained,
- S&T (10/5): - Big rooms, affordable, quiet (during our stay, September), good location.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Well located 100 meters from double-six beach. Nice warung with great Indonesian food, really affordable. Beach bars , convenience stores, all a stone throw away.
It’s not a new hotel, but it has a nice swimming pool surrounded by trees.
Staff is very attentive. Breakfast is ok with plenty of fruit coffee and juice to help yourself with as much as you want. Eggs made to order and either fried rice or noodles and pancakes.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - An excellent deal for the price, but very difficult to connect to the internet.
- Krystal (10/5): Great value - Loved our stay at Hotel Sari Bunga. Very close to everything you need in Seminyak , 2 minutes to the beach. Great value for money
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We have stayed here a few times over the years. It is basic accommodation but very clean, comfortable and in a great location close to beach, shops, restaurants and bars. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Nice clean pool, old but efficient and clean bathrooms. Breakfast is good with eggs any style, toast, tea and coffee, juice, alternate Asian dishes such as rice, noodles, pancakes. Great price considering what you get.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Great location staff were polite and friendly clean rooms but old
- Geoffrey (8/5): A Cheap Old Style Place - Ok For A Short Stay - So … yes, this is an old Bali style place, cheap, and ok for a short stay.
This was our first time to stay here - walked past the place for years.
We stayed 3 nights … and we would come back again.
The price says it all, so don't come here and complain that the place is old and run down - old it is, but we found the over place to be kept well enough ~ again for the price you are paying.
Right on the boarder of Legian and Seminyak, in Double Six (or officially Jl Arjuna), it is a 2 min walk to the beach and some good eating places along the beach walking path.
Also close (5 min walk) to the bean bag beach bars like La Plancha.
Good size pool - and with hardly anyone staying, we basically had the pool to ourselves.
We had breakfast included, which is basic, but again what do you expect for the price.
We paid AU$40 per night ~ so around Rp400,000 ~ US$30 ~ Euro25 (approx).
Big size bathroom as well … have paid more for poky bathrooms.
Water pressure was good, as was the temp.
AC was cold … and not buzzy (like some get).
If you are happy with an old style place, at a low price, close to the beach, for a few days, then give it a try … just don't complain if you are precious and like luxury, then go find places that are Rp1million plus per night.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - I stay here most times that I visit Bali. Its very affordable and close to all the amenities that I enjoy. Walking distance to the beach and
- william (8/5): Always like it here - I have stayed here many times and always enjoyed it.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - walking distance to beach and restaurants.
Great postions
- Glenn (10/5): - For the price it was a real bargain and close to the beach. Most of the time we had the pool to our selves
- Smiffy25 (2/5): Awful - never again - I arrived a bit late due to traffic so decided to just dump my bags and go and meet my family (who were staying round the corner) for dinner. When I returned and really went in and looked at the room it was dirty and it smelt of smoke. I booked through Agoda and it asked if I wanted a smoking or non- smoking room - I chose non. But there was an ashtray and it stank of smoke. I went to run a bath and the taps didn’t work, only the shower in the bath - so I’d have to fill the bath up with the shower! And the WiFi in the room was a terrible connection. So I went to the desk and pointed out that I’d paid for a deluxe non smoking room and that my room was dirty, smelly and the bath didn’t work, as well as the WiFi issue. The man at the desk didn’t seem to care about what I was saying except to show me he could use Facebook so the WiFi must be good!! He said the manager wasn’t back until the morning and told me to come back then. I asked if he had another room, he said they had 1 room that was a twin instead of a double. I asked to look at it and another man then came and showed me - it didn’t smell and the taps worked so I took it as it was late. They didn’t help me carry my bags to move and the new room was still dirty. As you walk around the room the floor feels dirty and gritty. There is dust collected where the floor meets the skirting board all around the room. I eventually managed to get the WiFi to work by sitting by the pool.
The following morning I went to reception to see the manager. I asked to see him and the man at the desk (another man) refused to get him until I told him why. I went through the whole story - he just shrugged at me and said ‘well what do you want’!! I queried the smoking smell in a non smoking room, he said they don’t have non smoking rooms (I’ll be taking this up with Agoda). Again he asked what I wanted and I said I’d like a clean room please. He said ‘this is how we are’ and shrugged at me again. He asked if I wanted to check out, I said if I get my money back then yes. He laughed and said no money back. I asked again if my room could be cleaned properly, especially the floor - he repeated ‘this is how we are’. He was rude, dismissive and him and the security guard laughed at me. I told him he was very rude and that I’d write a poor review. He said ok and laughed more. I returned to the room and as requested by their signage - placed the ‘please clean my room’ hanger on the door and the ‘please change my sheets’ card on the bed as I’d noticed a stain on them in the morning. When I returned that evening the floor and bath were still dirty and the sheets have the same stain in the same place. I’ve given up complaining as they don’t care. I know it’s cheap but I have just moved from a hotel in Ubud what’s just as cheap and was BEAUTIFUL! They’re is no excuse. I’ve also stayed in several places in Bali and I’ve never experienced such rudeness from a member of staff.
In addition to all of this.... I still only get decent WiFi by the pool, there is only one plug in the room and it’s over by the window hidden away, the room is dark unless you open the curtains but being on the ground floor everyone can see in as there are no net curtains, the bath room is so dark that you can’t shower at night as you can’t see anything (it’s hard enough in the morning!) and there are bare wires hanging out of the wall!! Don’t be fooled by the decent photos on the websites - they are photoshopped or they use false lighting and the restaurant looks too awful to even try it!!
Never ever would I stay here again!
- Eric (2/5): Had some stuff stolen on patio. - Watch your stuff, I had some things out on my patio that is on the walkway and they were stolen. Also the room smells like mildew. The pool is nice tho and it's pretty close to the beach. Also the ac is nice n cold
- 0howardc (10/5): Nice friendly staff, hotel a bit tired but clean - Room was clean, bed comfortable and service was good. Breakfast was great and choice was excellent. Pool was good but could use some umbrellas to give you shade.
Front desk staff were very helpful. I suggest booking direct with the hotel and save yourself a lot of money. I travelled in March 2017 and forgot to do a review so this is a bit late.
- Georgie (10/5): Love these people - We have been coming here for 20 plus years. Love the cheerful super friendly staff always give us a warm greeting and go way beyond my expectations in helping in any way they can.
It’s a great location to beach shopping and warung. It is sad to see the owners are not doing maintenance.... a paint job in bathrooms would be good. And staff who have been here as long as we have been coming now doing double shifts. Just hoping the owners will spend some money here tidy it up and keep the wonderful staff happy. You get what you pay for here!
- Mareev18 (8/5): Inexpensive - A lovely hotel with friendly staff. Close to beach and restaurants. Very family friendly. We enjoyed our stay at this hotel and the price for the room which was the family suite with a lounge and two bedrooms, by the pool was great.
- Sally (8/5): Friendly staff, safe, clean and in good position - I have been staying at Sari Bunga for close to 10 years now whenever I stay in Bali. My family and I have many fond memories of the place and I would not hestitate to recommend it to anyone. The position is perfect and the staff are helpful and friendly. I have felt nothing but safe when I and my daughters have stayed there. The pool is delightful and we have had many celebrations there with friends all staying. This is not a ritzy 5 star but I wouldn't ask for anything else.
- Yvonne (8/5): Sari Bunga - Ett trevlgt litet hotel bra beläget nära strand, shopping och restauranter. Trevlg personal och en liten pärla till pool.
Återvänder gärna hit.
- amywJ7100WU (4/5): not great - Probably the worst hotel we stayed in during our 2 weeks in Bali.
Lady on front desk was not inviting at all ... this is the only time we we're not welcomed with open arms in any of the hotels we stayed in.
We paid more by booking through Booking.com... about twice as much!
the bathroom was terrible. not clean and bits of the bath etc missing and really rusty.
pool was out of order.
couldn't move in the bed as it was so creaky.
Offered us a airport transfer but for twice as much as any of the other taxi companies in the area so we declined.
didn't stay for breakfast went to a cafe on the sea front instead.
- Deborah (8/5): Great 3 star Hotel - Small hotel, rooms good, pool good, staff friendly, breakfasts good. Food in hotel restaurant good. Close to beach, shops and restuarants. Price fantastic!
- MyView2007 (10/5): Away from the main street, short walk to beach or shops/warungs - Lovely hotel with very clean rooms. We stayed in a suite which has a common lounge/dining area in the room and two separate bedrooms, both with their own bathroom. Great for family or friends to share. Massive beds - very comfortable rooms.
Free WiFi. Breakfast included which was a lovely selection of hot and cold and they make your eggs to order however you want them.
Nice pool area with lounge chairs. Away from the street so minimal street noise.
Stroll down to the beach or up to the main shopping strip.
Would stay here again.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Good location - Ok hotel, good location, staff friendly however didn't have basic facilities like an iron or hair dryer. Hotel is very run down and needs a good face lift!
- Candice (8/5): Great Location - Rooms are a little outdated but overall was a pleasant stay. Shower heads could do with replacing but will be staying there again. Is very close to shopping, food and beaches, perfect location! Breakfast is amazing each day and the staff can never do enough for you. Pool is cleaned daily and despite other reviews stating the broken tiles, we never had an issue with it. Would recommend to anyone just wanting the basics; bed, shower and breakfast as you will be amazingly surprised
- rebeccal623 (8/5): So nice... - Very relaxed and nice... for the price.
Staff make this hotel
They are AWESOME and would do anything for you.
Going to list some bad things below BUT
this place is pretty awesome and I'd definitely go back again and again! Do be put off it's a hidden gem!
It's very tranquil and the gardens and peaceful pool area are lovely.
Morning yoga by the pool or on your own private balcony areas is a must! Perfect environment for it.
Very safe and secure.
Plus they have double locked safety deposit boxes for your money and valuables at reception, which is always manned by at least 2 people min.
Security and attendant don't miss a beat.
Make sure you check out the top level above the pool
You can see the water to the city scape - beautiful!
Comments are only for awareness, the place is 3 star. But customer service and hospitality is definitely 5.
Hotel itself needs some work
Cracked tiles in the pool, rooms could do with maintenance and bathrooms showers and piles/rods need to be replaced.
Pool seating needs a good scrub.
Don't swim at night to about 6, they turn the pool filter off over night and scrub it first thing everyday.
Air con is dodgey and leaked - don't leave it on all day/night it gets really wet in the rooms and the filters aren't the best.
Sheets and Towels are clean but old and discoloured. Could do with replacements.
OMGOSH the cat is a nightmare!
I sneaks in rooms! Poos and vomits in the rooms, urinates on hanging items on the clothes racks.
We couldn't open the windows or doors it would sneak in ALL THE TIME!
- treenap2014 (10/5): Hidden Gem - Dont really want the world to know our little hidden gem as the price is extremely affordable with lovely rooms, tranquil grounds, awesome location. We stayed in a 5 star resort in Ubud, which was an amazing gift and a stunning resort. So to go from Ubud to Sari Bunga we thought we would be disappointed, only to find that we were pleasantly surprized. Staff we very accommodating and the food in the restaurant was pretty good. We shared with our friends in the 2 bedroom suit and found the rooms lovely and spacious. Location was excellent to hit the shops and so close to the beach with incredible restaurants. We will be back to Bali a lot sooner now we know we can afford the accommodation and flights. Bonus!!
- Verified traveler (8/5): Enjoyed our stay! - This Balinese style hotel is clean, quiet and comfortable, has a nice pool and a great location near the beach. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the buffet breakfasts were delicious and plentiful. Our upstairs room (ambassador A3) had a spacious outdoor deck with tables and chairs to enjoy the verdant surroundings and birds. All in all, no complaints!
- sjbrady_jb (8/5): little bit tired but absolute value - Great location 70 metres from the beachfront and all the action at double six this hotel has a wide range of rooms including suites and family rooms at great value staff are friendly and helpful rooms large and clean has a reasonable size pool and is close to everything
Absolutely recommend
- Verified traveler (8/5): Convenient - The stay was great. It was prime location for beach activities.
- MaryO76 (4/5): Location is good and thats all. - Location is great! Upon arrival the hotel appears sufficient for a 3 star. We had two rooms . One room smelt terrible. Mildew. So after two nights we had my kids moved. Our air conditioners didn't work properly. Two days it wouldn't work then the thermostat wasn't working and we were waking up thru the night turning it on and off cos it got too cold. The toilet smelt like urine ALL the time. I tried cleaning it myself but In the end I think it was either the sewerage or leaking. We were bitten by mosquitoes at night even though our doors and windows were closed. Breakfast was good. Not a huge variety but nevertheless tasty. The restaurant cook good food and cheap. Pool is not for young children. It is too deep. Parents need to go in with their young ones.
- Allan australia (6/5): close to beach and shopping - the hotel is ok in a good location in Seminyak 250 metres from beach and less for shopping
- Moya (4/5): Hotel is in need of renovations - The staff were great, not so much reception staff. I had to leave early because I caught Dengue at the hotel and they would not refund the 4 nights I didn't stay. Its in a great position, but the room was dirty and the bed was hard. The pool had a lot of broken and sharp tiles. This hotel is very tired and in need of a good clean and update.
- Fraz (8/5): Great Hotel right near the Beach - Staff were really friendly and the room was nice. Pool was nice and clean but didn't get a lot of sun but with the beach so close it didn't really matter. Right near heaps of shopping and within walking distance of just about anything you would want to do. Doesn't have a safe in the room but they do have individual safes for each room at the office which is manned 24 hours.
- Jane (10/5): Great stay at Sari Bunga! - Wonderful friendly staff, great breakfast, clean and well priced, I'll definately stay again!
- jane7474 (8/5): Holiday - Wonderful older tradition hotel, great staff, terrific position, 2 minute walk to beach, buffet breakfast which we love! Pool clean but not a lot of sun, Very clean and had no problems at all! We will definately return!
- Stuart (4/5): Pictures not updated. Too old. - The staff was friendly, outdoors was beautiful. Unfortunately, the pool was old, tiles in the pool were chipped and some missing which made it dangerous to cut yourself. The rooms looked out dated, faded and worn. On the pics all was fresh and pretty...very deceiving.
- JenniferV1832 (8/5): Great family suite in great location. - Fabulous. The family suite is huge and very clean and comfy. Friendly staff. Sri at reception was fabulous. Clean. Great location. Breakfast the same every day but good. Pools were great and great pool owels as well. Definitely will book there again.
- Stephen (6/5): Good location and very good value for the price. - Arrived in the rain. Met by helpful front desk and checked in efficiently. They helped with directions to beach etc.
Stayed only one night but it was very comfortable. We had no issues with the room and were lucky enough to get a room on the ground floor close to the pool.
Staff were helpful with ordering a taxi as well.
Restaurant is very basic but the kitchen staff is very helpful and eager to give what you want.
- Extraordinary596016 (8/5): Bali hotel - Great location. Quiet. Friendly staff. Not modern but traditional. Would suggest to anyone looking for a nice hotel convienently located. Great massage place right across the street and a minute walk to the beach.
- deanneh2017 (8/5): Friendly, safe and excellent value - Very happy with our 5 night stay here. I have stayed at several hotels in this neighbourhood over the past 18 years, and so I picked Sari Bunga primarily for location. There are many excellent restaurants and spas close by and plenty of good shopping too, with the beach about 200m from the hotel.
Reasonably clean with a large bathroom that had no serious plumbing issues (common in all Bali hotels) and a lovely spacious room with fittings and fixtures a bit tired, but we are paying only $50 per night here! The things that matter to me, like aircon (quiet and icy cold) and wifi (easy, strong and auto connect) were reliable and efficient. Lovely staff including kitchen, reception, cleaners and security.
I came directly from a large 5 star hotel with outside food and drink forbidden from consumption by the pool and expensive pool bar drinks the only option so I was actually quite happy to relax by the pool with a cold Bintang purchased at the restaurant for 25000 Rp or simply enjoying my own mixed duty free. No mini bar or shampoo, but I always take my own toiletries on holidays. This may not suit others but I like it!
The pool is clean and shady and cool with sunny spots available around the pool during the day. Broken tiles and pool furniture a bit grotty, but pool towels available by request. Security was not an issue for us, we felt safe and secure at all times.
- Judy (8/5): Friendly hotel - Great friendly and affordable place to stay with plenty in walking distance
- Lars Chr.
- Geoff (6/5): Basic but comfortable - The hotel is well located close to the beach, shops and restaurants, it is some what dated and could do with some refurbishment, but is overall comfortable with very friendly and helpful staff.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Really bad service. We booked with breakfast included but the staff said we didnt have breakfast because we had non refundable which according to them was another word for no breakfast. Bad location and no Nice surrounding.
- sandy (2/5): old place - terrible breakfast, including it breakfast menu, the room first thing you could see through the door, the water took half a hour to heat up. was not happy there only stayed 2 night out of 9,
- Verified traveler (6/5): Position of hotel great close to beach - The hotel is in the middle of Legian and Seminyak and close to beach. So it's great to walk around and safe. My only issue was the wifi not good and the TV bad reception.
- Bryan (8/5): Great Location - Short walk to the beach, restaurants and shops. If one wants to get a little picky, the bed was a little firm, TV was old with bad English program reception and breakfast was limited for choice. Saying that the price and value for money was great. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there and would probably return.
- c (8/5): Great place - Although it's a bit of an older hotel- it was great. It's close to the beach- had a good breakfast buffet and was very quiet and beautiful around the pool area. We stayed there at the beginning of our vacation and the end. We reccomend it for sure !
- Craig (10/5): Hotel Sari Bunga - Our stay at Sari Bunga was a stay with friendly staff, welcoming smiles, a quiet and peaceful place to stay. The location is great and a quick 2 min walk to Legian Beach. The surrounding restaurants are an easy 1 min walk to beachside location, perfect for those beautiful Bali subsets
- Kaye (10/5): Hidden treasure - Had a great 10 days staying here. Very handy to the beach and sights. Hidden treasure. Loved it
- R & S (8/5): Coolest pool in town - Only stayed one night. Clean, well appointed room with fan and aircon. The pool was quite cool. Nice and central.
- Marisa (8/5): Great location - A small hotel in a perfect spot, very close to beach, shops and restaurants etc. Breakfast is adequate. Pool is deep and a really good size. Room is typical hotel size. My only gripe is the bed which is quite hard.
Do make use of the hotel safety box as there are no safes in room. Staff are friendly and helpful.
Would come back no hesitation.
- Sale (10/5): Friendly staff, great location - Hotel was great. Clean & in a good location. I'd book direct next time though. Hotels.com was painful to deal with & I won't book with them again.
- Caddy (2/5): Pool nice, close to beach - Reception staff unhelpful and unwelcoming, especially on arrival, bed uncomfortable and could feel the springs in the mattress. Not offered different room. Wifi very slow, advertised as fast. If you are English speaking, tv abysmal with no choice as advertised. Room generally below standard with nothing working properly and dangerous. Would not pass any health and safety standards anywhere else in any half decent hotel. Was our third trip and the worse hotel by far. Breakfast was just adequate, but as we were staying for 3 weeks, which we cut short, very boring with no change in selection. Most of staff in the restaurant very friendly and did their best, but things like table cloths were only changed once during our stay. Best part of the hotel was their swimming pool and the gardens, which were green and lush. No coffee or tea making facilities in the room, just a mini bar and no such thing as shampoo, soap or anything else given to us as they usually do every do. We had a soap and a plastic bath cap in our room on arrival and then nothing further. If you only want to stay for a night or 2 then this hotel is adequate. I don't recommend anything longer.
- Flynn (6/5): It's okay - If you're looking for a relatively cheap and comfortable place to stay when you first get to Bali then this place is perfect. Any more than 2 nights though and you will be keen to move on. The surrounding area wears a bit thin with the locals trying to sell you another Bin Tang singlet every metre you walk down the street. We had a couple of issues with the laundry service as well, and felt that the staff might be ripping us off when we tried to organise further travel with them. Overall not a bad place to stay though so would recommend it if the price is good.
