- Omar (10/5): Peaceful in a living ancient town. - I liked the unique life experience in the magic Sacred Valley in a hotel that keeps the essentials of the ancient Incas. It keeps the Inca architecture in a unique, peaceful space.
- Rene (10/5): The most perfect place in Pisac - The most comfortable bed in Peru. Such a beautiful location away from the hustle and bustle, but still an easy walk into town.
The owner and staff are amazing, the property is stunning and I’m never staying anywhere else when I come back to Pisac. Nothing, it was pure magic
- Mueller (10/5): Beautiful place with super friendly staff and always interesting people you'll meet. - Great, quite facility in beautiful surroundings in nature. Super friendly staff and always interesting people to meet.
- Amber (9/5): - The owner Kamel was super nice and friendly. I stayed at melissa wasi during low tourist season so the kitchen wasn't open other than breakfast hours. Location was a bit away from town, walkable - 20mins to town but the path is not very well made so i'd suggest that you take a motortaxi.
- Kimm (8/5): Comfortable quiet stay - Enjoyed the quiet of this location
- Bayli (10/5): - This property is so peaceful. I love that it’s close enough to town to walk but far enough to be in the tranquility of the mountains. The breakfast was excellent. Highly recommend
- Jaime (10/5): A little peace of heaven in Pisac - The location and the peace you feel being surrounded by nature were amazing Nothing at all

- Geoffrey (10/5): Wonderful retreat hotel with a beautiful walk into town - This is a special place, with private cabins, spacious grounds, thoughtful events, great architecture and a good breakfast.
- Cycling Gran D (7/5): This was a lovely place to spend time exploring Pisac. - The breakfast was very good- fresh fruit, bread and hot coffee. The dining area was very comfortabl, spacious and appealing with colorful tapestries and placemats- nice view of the gardens and the mountains.
The staff were friendly and helpful.
Very quiet and peaceful setting.
Easy walk into town on a dusty dirt road - inexpensive ride back to Wasi in motocab.
Filtered water in the bungalow- had equipment for making meals or snacks- dishes, wine glasses, utensils, pots, electric kettle, etc We rented a bungalow unit. We found the lighting to be very inadequate. We suggest replacing burned out bulbs in main living area, supply a reading lamp for the second bedside table downstairs and a bedside table for the upstairs loft lamp. A headboard for the loft bed- my friend likes to read at night and she kept slipping down the bed because of no headboard.
We were advised 2 days ahead of our reservation that a darkness/silence retreat was happening during our stay.
Because of this, we did not have full usage of the lovely grounds and could not sit outside and talk.

- Razelle (10/5): - A truly beautiful property filled with beautiful flowers. It's a beautiful place if you would like to rest in nature and hear the birds chip away. I can't wait to go back
- Kevin (8/5): Quiet. Well-Maintained Gardens. Friendly Staff. - The location was quiet and ideal, which was within walking distance (or moto) of the centre. The bungalow was clean, inviting and had an open fire place (firewood provided). The kitchen was suitable for our needs and for two persons. The grounds were well-maintained and we had access to explore/sit in the gardens. WIFI worked very well. Staff were friendly and helpful. Good breakfast options available. Easy check-in/check-out and assisting arranging transfers. The only issue we had was having consistent hot water, however the owners were looking into that.
- Ryan (10/5): Beautiful property, big hearted hosts, epic breakfast! - It was out of the hustle and bustle of Pisac. It was beautiful with the lovely trees, the epic mountain views and beautiful designed buildings/rooms 🙏
I loved the owners; Melissa and her father Chito were both super lovely and helpful!
The food in the morning was really incredible for an included breakfast!
Loved it so much I’m going back to stay in a weeks time ❤️
- Fretz (8/5): - Sehr schöne Anlage
- Claudia (10/5): The most magical place in Pisac Staying here was an unforgettable experience. From the moment I arrived, I felt deeply w - Everything! There are no faults.
- Nataly (10/5): Peaceful - Plantas -
- Gillian (9/5): Absolutely beautiful place with extremely comfortable, cosy beds and great breakfast - Absolutely beautiful setting, gorgeous and well maintained gardens, quiet and peaceful place. The rooms were super cute with an open fire, kitchenette and extremely comfortable and cosy beds. Breakfast was fantastic, the best we’ve had in Peru so far!
Staff were very friendly and accommodating and even made breakfast for us 1.5 hours early so we could continue with our travel plans - thank you! Not all the windows have curtains and the ones that do are very thin so are fine for privacy but do not stop the light entering at sunrise. This was not a problem for us as we have early-rise children but worth considering if you like a dark room!
- Thomas (6/5): Pleasant -
- Wiers (8/5): Wrong Location -- Actually 1.2 km outside the town - Natural grounds. Beautiful location. Breakfast. The owner put a general location, not a street or address, into Booking.com, so it shows up as being in the town of Pisac, whereas in reality it lies 1.2 kilometers outside of the central town. I wanted to stay in the town, so I didn't like this inaccuracy. My room had no WiFi. The price seemed a bit high for what you get.
- John (9/5): The host's motto is "mi casa es su casa" and he really means it. - Very picturesque and charming. Great location just outside of town, quiet and peaceful.
- Alexis (10/5): We came with our family and the hotel was perfectly suited. The whole place is beautiful, rooms very cosy, and breakfast -
- John (10/5): Exceptional -
- Selena (10/5): Exceptional -
- Natalia (10/5): Beautfull people😍 - yum!
- Reilly (10/5): Exceptional -
- Christina (10/5): amazing location, and wonderful family hospitality - breakfast was delicious, and the view of the mountains was spectacular It's a bit chilly in the morning because the sun comes late...
- Philipp (9/5): I come back!! - Beautiful, calm and peaceful place. Very friendly personal. Hummingbirds and big Eukalyptus trees in the garden. A little difficult to go into town with no car (20min walk). Not every day dinner available.
- Olesiatr (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful place! Very clean and nice!
- Anonymous (10/5): enjoyed a very beautiful, tranquil vacation here -
- Catherine (10/5): a Perfect place to enjoy the Sacred Valley - It is a beautiful property with lovely landscaping. The rooms are very comfortable with very warm down comforters, a plentitude of soft pillows, and with plenty of hanging space and drawer space for all of your belongings. It is decorated beautifully in the Andean artistic style and one feels a great sense of harmony there. The owners Chito and Joyce went out of their way to make me feel comfortable and help with a few problems I had with the local ATM machine. The entire staff is welcoming and helpful. The Breakfasts were great with lots of fruit, eggs, pancakes, toast, coffee. I was so happy there that I will be back again to stay longer! it was all fine!
- Keith (8/5): Very good -
- Jose (9/5): Great place to be disconnected from the world. It is like to be in an extension of a family house - The warm of every person there. Melissa and his dad were really kind. They make you feel at home. Melissa Wasi is on a really nice area between mountains disconnected from the traffic and population, but at the same time at 5 mins from Pisac downtown. Hot water. It was difficult to keep a stable temperature.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Magical stay - My favorite hotel experience of our entire Peru trip. I highly recommend Melissa Wasi! The locale was amazing. The view of the mountains, the flowers around the hotel, the friendly dogs on premises, everything was magical. I did not want to leave! It was a chilly night when we were there, but firewood was right outside our door and the fire kept us warm and cozy. The owners were amazing people and helped us in any way we asked. We were there the night that Peru played Brazil in the final match of the Copa America, which was a very big deal for the Peruvians. The owners invited us to watch the game with their family and neighbors!! I would highly recommend Melissa Wasi!
- John (2/5): Shabby accommodations at luxury pricing - I was baffled when I looked at Melissa Wasi's ratings and customer reviews after our stay as they seemed to describe a very different place than we experienced. Our room was shabby (or in PR speak "rustic"), seemingly furnished from thrift shops, lighting was too dim for reading, the only heat was a wood stove (so the room was cold) and the king bed we thought we were getting was a kind of full size saggy stale futon. There was an utter lack of attention by management to even the simplest details or quality control. (And you can't blame an overworked staff as there were only a few guests.) For example, we learned that the lack of hot water in the shower was the result of staff not turning on the water heater. We had to ask that someone supply matches and wood for the stove. The owner mentioned a heater but never supplied one. The owner was a nice enough chap who mouthed the words "mi casa es su casa" but he seemed to put his interests ahead of ours (examples upon request.) At the slightest pushback he was never apologetic, always defensive. This wouldn't be so bad except for the fact that our room was 95USD per night, outrageous considering we're well travelled and have stayed in much nicer places for less. I would not recommend Melissa Wasi until the owner has learned to become a proper hotelier, pricing reflects the youth hostel-like quality, and someone has edited the online description so that it properly reflects reality.
- Clare (10/5): One night in Pisac - Warm staff in a lovely albeit secluded area
- J (6/5): - Nice hotel, beautiful hardens, slightly cold and informal staff when it comes to guest ssrvice
- pmgdoug (10/5): I love this place! A little bit of paradise. - Melissa Wasi was like a little slice of paradise. The couple who created it live in a house surrounded by numerous cottages, all in a Eucalyptus grove within walking distance of downtown Pisac. The owners are very friendly, hospitable, and interesting and the invited me (and any other guests who care to) to join them in their living room in the evening. It was the best place I stayed on my 6 days from Cusco, through the Sacred Valley, to Machu Picchu and back to Cusco. I would definitely recommend this to anyone thinking of staying anywhere in the area around Pisac. My only regrets were that I couldn't stay there longer (just a short trip) and that it's so far from the U.S. where I live.
- PF (10/5): Friendly owner - The owner opens up his own space to his guests. The family cooks and eat breakfast together with us. Very nice breakfast. They are really helpful with our travel arrangements. The resort is also very secluded, really quite, has a very good view of the surrounding mountains.
- Michelle (10/5): Home away from home! - The property of Melissa Wasi is beautiful and peaceful. The owners, Chito and Joyce were so lovely to get to know. They helped guide me with what to see in the area, arranged taxi service, and even helped me when I had problems with my ATM card at the bank. I was a female solo traveler during this part of my trip and they made me feel comfortable. Coming home to Melisa Wasi each night felt like coming home to family! I will definitely return in the future!
- Steve (8/5): Quiet, relaxed, a wonderful place for a quiet bre - Wonderful setting, ideal for a family of three, the host are warm and sincere, the location setting in beautiful, very quiet and restful.
- Aaron (10/5): Incredible - Melissa Wasi was Devine. Chito, the owner, is the most interesting man in the world.
- Lygia (8/5): Barely 3 stars. Priced as 4 stars for the area - Beautiful, simple retreat. Basic breakfast. Owner is helpful. Pricey for Peru, in low season $US 95 per night.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The Inn is a little too far from town to walk, but the owners always arranged transportation and were very helpful with suggestions and reservations.
- Meghan (10/5): - The owners of Melissa Wasi are very special and made my stay. I can't wait to come back!
- John (10/5): Highly recommended! - Our family really enjoyed our stay at Melissa Wasi! Chito and Joyce were such gracious and welcoming hosts! The town of Pisac is charming, with excellent small restaurants and spectacular scenery. The hotel's restaurant is particularly superb. Thank you for such a special stay!
- Richard . (10/5): Lovely surroundings, helpful hosts - The hosts were very hospitable and interesting and went out of their way to accommodate our wishes and make arrangements for us. The lodge and the grounds were lovely. The food was excellent.
- Karoline (8/5): Mi casa es tu casa - Melissa Wasi is owned by a lovely family who have created a beautiful space for leasure in a magical place. You feel as though you are one of their guests. Joyce and Chito were very helpful in pointing out things to do in the valley and made us feel very welcomed. The grounds are beautifully cared for and the house is tastefully decorated with local art. Melissa Wasi also has a restaurant that served a memorable breakfast and other delicious dishes. We will definitely visit this place again.
- Mauricio (10/5): Home away from home - Chito and Joyce make you feel like home. Pisac is a magic place and staying at Melissa Wasi makes it even better.
This is definitely where u want to stay in Pisac.
- Verified traveler (8/5): A lovely, beautiful, quiet place to stay - My boyfriend and I had a lovely visit at Melissa Wasi. The accommodations were clean and private. Joyce, the host was very kind, warm and accommodating. They have Wifi and a place to eat on site for Breakfast and dinner.
The price is high for the area however the garden and landscape provide a retreat like experience that can be very nourishing after a day in town and after long travel. The chocolate Volcano Cake (which the owner makes herself) is amazing and I highly recommend it! The bed was not great and we both woke up with back aches, but we had a King so perhaps the smaller ones are better.
- amy & serah (10/5): Wonderful choice for Pisac! - We loved this place. Super sweet, family owned guest house. The owner and his son were extremely friendly and helpful, and they spent time with us in the evening, and over breakfast telling us about the area and what's doing around town. The grounds at Melissa Wasi are a little slice of heaven. Flowers are everywhere and we saw more varieties of hummingbirds on this property than at any other place in Peru. We were blessed with sunshine in the mornings and enjoyed the little table and chairs outside our room. The town of Pisac is a 15 minute walk to get to, but you won't find this kind of lush beauty anywhere in town. We would easily come back here. Recommended!!
- Jeanie (8/5): San Blas beauty - When we arrived they didn't have the room available that we reserved so we had to take a more expensive room. The room was very clean, large and beautiful, it just cost more then we had planned on. We had a nice view and it was in a very nice neighborhood, the San Blas district. It was up a hill right off from the main town square. Coca tea and coffee were available to us in the lobby all the time. They also have complimentary bag storage if you need it. Shopping and dining is just steps away.I would definitely stay here again.
- E. Matthews (8/5): Peaceful Retreat - Melissa Wasi is a peaceful and spiritual getaway in the eucalyptus grove just outside of the town of Pisac. The on-site restaurant makes eating very convenient vs going back into town. The hotel staff were very nice and assisted us in any way we needed. There are a few maintenance issues for the room we had that should be addressed but otherwise a great place to regenerate from a hectic touring schedule.
