Guest Reviews
- Matt (10/5): Fantastic stay - A wonderful stay, delightful evening meals, and after finding out I would be leaving before breakfast each morning they provided a selection of fruit, pastries, and fruit juice as a “breakfast bag” each day.
- Rachel (10/5): - Very helpful host. Very friendly. Pretty comfortable room
- Steve (10/5): - Beautifully situated restaurant and hotel. Excellent food and friendly, helpful staff
- Verified traveler (10/5): - A very welcoming and comfortable pub B&B in a quiet location. Excellent.
- John (8/5): - Overlooking fields.
- Jay (10/5): - Lovely property. Perfect for our nights stay between travelling.
- Brian (8/5): - Nice staff.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Good room, excellent restaurant - Good stay.
Staff very attentive
Excellent food.
- R (10/5): - Excellent food, friendly and helpful staff. Very good breakfast
Only downside was shower very small but otherwise very good standard in bedrooms
- Christopher (6/5): Nice place but see notes - It is a nice place to stay and comfortable with good food. HOWEVER, I felt 'ripped off' when it was revealed only at check out, after breakfast, that the breakfast that was 'included in the price' was only continental and I had ordered a full English. It seemed to me to be a dishonest deception.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Nearly there - Pleasant enough but could do with a couple of tweaks. Check in we could have done with more information for example there is no evening meal on a sunday and the breakfast information so was slow to unravel. The room and bathroom was spacious and dogs are welcome without an additional charge. However we could have done with locating a poo bin. The food was nice with sensible portions. Some more local info would have been useful. However staff were friendly with quick service maybe with a little more experience it will be a lovely place to stay.
- Shaun (8/5): Lovely Location - and Food! - We arrived in the dark on a wet and windy night, having had a much longer journey than expected, so we were very pleased that the restaurant was available! I had pheasant whilst the others had burgers - all were tasty and very welcome!
The rooms were clean and comfortable, with good en suite facilities.
Full English breakfasts were much appreciated.
We recommend the whole experience and wish the new proprietors every success.
- Michelle (10/5): Charming family run business - Lovely stay, made to feel very welcome. Room was spacious, immaculate, comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was good and cooked to order for us. We had a delicious meal in the pub's restaurant. Would happily book again.
- Mark (10/5): - Excellent little place to stay, lovely room with great facilities. Best night sleep i have had for a while. Bar and restaurant spotless and food was exceptional. Defo stay again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Excellent food settings and room
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Just a one night journey break in what was a quiet and peaceful location. Clean and comfortable room. The pub only accommodates maximum of 4 people in total so we enjoyed the friendly and personalised service. The included fully cooked breakfast was freshly prepared and met our veggie needs. Would definitely stay again.
- Robin (10/5): Excellent - A great find, a little in the middle of nowhere, but well worth seeking out. Very clean accommodation was good and a delightful breakfast and the evening meal was exceptional. If ever back in the area would certainly stay again.
- Derek (10/5): A great find. - Excellent food, accommodation and staff. Will stay again when at Castle Combe.
- Antony (10/5): - Arrived late due to work even though it was past the time for food they still cooked a steak pie which was top notch
- Verified traveler (10/5): Lovely quiet place. - Great little place. Great food, clean, quiet, welcoming, just a little disappointed with the room. The bed is springy, pillows not to our taste, bedding noisy and the room was far too warm, even after turning the radiator off when we arrived.
- Rob (10/5): - Great hospitality, a clean and cosy room.
- mike (10/5): Foxham Inn for the win! - I had a great stay at the Foxham Inn. Really quiet location, far enough off the M4 to feel like you’re in a nice rural spot. The room was very comfortable and the food was very good. To top it all off the landlady was brilliant, with a cracking sense of humour to boot! Highly recommended!
- Dennis (10/5): - Very pleasant short stay with fantastic evening meal and great breakfast. We
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The staff were really friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent with a lot of choice.
- Lee (8/5): Foxham Inn Stay - The Foxham Inn was in a very small village and we stayed for 1 night attending a wedding locally. The room was clean and tidy, the breakfast was nice. The Wi-fi was not very good
- Lynda (10/5): All round great place to stay - The Foxham was a great place to stay. Beautifully clean and comfortable. Welcoming hosts and the food was so delicious. Would certainly recommend and stay again.
A little out in the sticks but just drove into Chippenham and caught the train to Bath and Bristol, cheaper than fuel and parking.
- Beverly (10/5): Just what we were looking for - We were looking for a place to stay in the area where we could have a comfortable overnight stay and have a good quality well-cooked dinner in-house too. The Foxham Inn, in a small village off the beaten track, fitted the bill perfectly.
- janet (10/5): Nice place in the country - We had a lovely dinner and breakfast.
The owners were very nice.
- Barbara (10/5): - Friendly professional hosts, delicious food, spotless room and comfortable bed what more could we ask for?
- Verified traveler (8/5): Night stop - Lovely place out in the countryside just outside Chippenham, great homemade food.
Water pipes by noisy sometimes.Wi Fi not that good.
- Mervyn (10/5): Beautifully isolated ideal for a quiet homely stay - You need a satnav to get there but we’ll worth the journey.. Food excellent. Hostess a bit austere at first but mellowed.
- Keith (10/5): - This is a great place to stay. Can't rate it highly enough.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great welcome great food great people to stay with.

- Located off the main drag in a wonderful country setting you find a well run pub with two comfortable guest rooms. All you could need provided and Breakfast is
first class. A great stay. Would return and recommend.
- John (10/5): Will definately be using again - Very nice pub/hotel. Excellent parking very nice lady in charge, bed very comfortable, clean nice bathroom, really nice evening meals, top notch breakfast, they make their own brilliant yogurts even the butter was spreadable.I will certainly be using the Foxham Inn again as I am in the area fairly frequently.
- Richard (10/5): Nice Rural Bed and Breakfast - We just used this pub for a one night stopover, on our way from the West Country to the Home Counties. Would certainly use it again. Highly recommended.
- Michael (8/5): Good country 2 bedroom Inn. - Emphasis on food rather than a traditional Pub.
Good host and food well prepared.
Car a requisite.
Nearest shop 2 miles away.
- Howard (10/5): Great Inn in the heartland away from the madness - Wonderful place in the countryside. Owners great and accommodating. Food excellent.
- Nina (10/5): Country Inn - Very welcoming, helpful and friendly owners. The two rooms were beautifully furnished, clean and bright. The beds were extremely comfortable and breakfast was great.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Good, but could be much better! - Very peaceful area, quiet roads so good for walking, food was disappointing and pub lacked atmosphere.
Bed was too short for me but I am over 6ft, shower was poor and very difficult to find a setting of good temperature either cold or scolded you!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Nice quiet location - stayed 1 night B&B en route and ate dinner at the pub - pub landlady is very friendly, the food was good and the room was clean and comfortable
- Mike (8/5): Good quiet accommodation in rural location. - The bedroom was one of only two rooms in the pub and was to a reasonable standard. The bed was extremely comfortable, so no problem sleeping. The evening meal served in the bar was of excellent quality, Likewise the breakfast was freshly cooked, and provided anything you might want. I would definitely stay again.
- Stephen (10/5): Very Comfortable - Weekend break to visit Bath, alround very comfortable , good food in the restaurant, good service, excellent breakfast and two good nights sleep. What more could you ask. Would recommend and certainly stay again.
- Adrian (10/5): Great food and stay - Great stay great food fab breakfast made welcome will be back when in area
- Philip (10/5): Relaxing couple of days at Foxham Inn - Very good relaxing couple of days at Foxham Inn. Sarah the host made us feel comfortable and although isolated once you are there it does not seem like it. It is easy to get into Bath and surrounding areas.
- paul (6/5): - nice pub with stunning food ..but is in the middle of nowhere
- Roy (8/5): - Rated from information provided by my staff
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great hosts, great food, central to our holiday destinations.
- David (10/5): Absolutely perfect - Little gem of a place. There are only two rooms and you are treated like royalty. The food is excellent. All fresh and as I found out, much is homemade. Superb breakfast. I stay away a lot and like to find local places as opposed to putting money in to the big hotel chains and this is one of the best places I have stayed at. WiFi also very good. If service, food, accommodation was half as good as it was it would still get 5 stars from me.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This hotel was perfect. Clean and with all the facilities needed for a good night's stay. Both the breakfast and the previous night's meal was very good. The staff were helpful. I would certainly come again if in the area and would recommend it as a good little find.
- carol (8/5): comfortable hotel, helpful staff - we were able to check in early. hearty breakfast.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Stayed for a night and had a lovely stay.
- Paul (10/5): A little Gem of a place. - when on a business trip I always look for that hidden gem when travelling and I definitely found it with this place. Greeted and hosted by a lovely lady and I believe her husband is the chef.
Very nice room with all the right comforts, along with great food with a good selection of real ale and wines all smack bang in the middle of beautiful the countryside.....couldn't ask for more.
Well recommend for business or pleasure.
- Gary (8/5): Everything ticks the box - Really nice pub with modern and clean bedroom and great breakfast.
Only small gripe was the delivery driver turning up at 04.30 waking me up with his radio 1 blaring.
The owner did not ask me if every thing was OK for me when I checked out.
Apart from that it was great.
