Guest Reviews
- Adam (10/5): Friendly, historic inn with good food - We stayed here for 3 nights when visiting the Game Fair at Ragley Hall. Whilst our double room was not huge, the bed was comfy and the room had character.
The staff were wlcoming e
The pub serves a good selection of food, including steaks and freshly made pizza, both wew great. Lots of parking and a pleasant outside area to rge rear.
- Brian (6/5): - Must be honest: neither welcome nor unwelcome = indifferent. Despite me thinking that my request for a meal made in advance had been met with an affirmative, "Chef went at 5. There's pizza outside if you want, can bring it in." = no meal after 3 hours driving. Didn't mention the shop 300 metres along the street which luckily was open, so I got food. Didn't mention the other pub across the green. Like I said, indifferent. I had to ask about the internet, which did not work anyway. Loud "music" in the bar but, to be fair, I did get a quiet room as requested, and the young lady who took me to my room was friendly enough. No functioning heating in the room. Had to work out breakfast for myself. Found the breakfast order form, duly filled it in. Sort of uphill all the way. Breakfast was provided as asked but why oh why leave the butter pack by the hot food so that liquid butter ran on to the plate? Still breakfast adequate and server friendly. Comparing with "The Fox" at Much Wenlock, I cannot recommend the Bulls Head at Inkberrow.Which is very sad.
- John r (10/5): good place to sleep - Very friendly..lovely meal..and room was cold on arrival but it came on later and was very cosy, bathroom was clean but a bit dated..great staff..
- Tracey (2/5): - This was not worth the £57 room only fee that we paid. The bed was very uncomfortable, the mattress was not worth having on the bed, you could feel the bed beneath it. The shower was very dated, the tiles were extremely cracked and moldy. The noise from the bar was very loud.
- Richard (10/5): - Great stay for the money . The breakfast was very nice too .
- Holly (8/5): - A really friendly countyside inn, clean, very comfy bed.
- Marian (6/5): - The pub was centrally situated and the price was fair. The room needed an update, particularly in the bathroom. Milk left on the tray was open and curdled.
- elizabeth (10/5): - Good nice food clean rooms nice thick quilts nice and warm food good
- Christine (8/5): - A building with warmth and character. Excellent service.
The shower room is due some decoration.
- jonathan (6/5): - En-suite looks dated mold, toilet didn’t flush properly.
Room was ok… although old portable tv, no remote
Service and food was good
08:30 for breakfast is late, if you need to get off early
- Robert (4/5): - We booked two nights here but left after one. Wi fi not workjng in the room had to either use in main bar area or somewhere close to it. Room 5 (twin) most uncomfortable poor room set up both of us unable to watch the TV at the same time. (That is after several trips to reception finally got TV working)
We noticed that several things commented on in reviews had not been addressed. Area around very good but the stay was just too awkward and uncomfortable. Expedia excellent in negotiating a refund for the night we didn't stay. Thanks
- Raynor (8/5): - Nice atmosphere. Helpful staff. Bedding pristine. Needs a hook in bathroom. Touch up paint.
Would stay there again.
- Mark (8/5): - Good value, good fiord and good beer. Excellent staff.
- Richard (8/5): - Nice pub
- Shirley (4/5): - They were good enough to let me arrive later than 9pm. Room ok, nothing fancy. Bed was comfortable with white sheets and towels. Tea, coffee facilities all fine. TV easy to use but could be larger.
Bathroom was very poor. Grout dirty and areas around shower tray. Very drab all needed replacing or at the very least re grouted, shower door dismantled and cleaned. Shower was electric, water came hot eventually but the arm holding the shower spray fell apart when I tried to lower the spray. Cheap and flimsy as was the toilet seat. Toilet itself was clean as was all carpets and furniture.
The pub was very basic, rustic but not in the trendy sense!
Overall staying at this hotel was just ok. I had to think twice before having my shower and nearly never bothered. I gave breakfast a miss!!
I left my reading glasses and I rang and asked if they would post them if I sent a ready stamped and addressed envelope. The owner agreed
I paid £70 for the room and felt it over priced due to the bathing facilities.
- stephen (10/5): - Great friendly atmosphere, delicious, fresh cooked breakfast
- Gary (8/5): Comfortable stay - Comfortable stay here, staff were friendly although we were woken up by a loud radio at 6.00am but weren’t sure if it was the Inn or customers, also guests tended to let their doors bang. On first arrival we waited for 6 minutes but no one was to be found so we went to the pub opposite for a drink. Food was good but slightly over priced in my opinion.
- JULIAN (10/5): - Nice family run pub great friendly staff , comfortable room with a ton of character.
- Marcia (10/5): Comfortable overnight stop - We stopped at this inn to break our journey from the Lake District to Devon. We were made very welcome and both the evening meal and the breakfast were excellent and reasonably priced.
- Andy (8/5): My stay - Fibe, good value. Nice rooms.
- Kath (10/5): - Lovely room only problem was the heat as it was over the August bank holiday. An electric fan or something similar might have helped. Otherwise everything else was really good, food was good and staff very friendly. We would go back again.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Convenient location - First time staying at The Bulls Head. We were visiting a friend who lives in the Village so to stay here was convenient. We will definitely stay here again.
- jim (8/5): Great value - Çouldnt get wifi signal in my room otherwise this is a nice place to stay
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Felt very dated bathroom and furnishings in bedroom in particular the shower room is in need. Of updating. Garden beautiful
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Actually a very nice country Pub close to Worcester and Evesham.
The Room was also nice (if on the compact side), but was let down by the very tired bathroom (and cheap plastic loo seat).
As with all Pubs the hum of ventilation, coolers and extraction fans was evident overnight.
- Jamie (10/5): The bulls head - Excellent location, friendly staff , lovely food and beer will definitely return
- Steve (8/5): Bulls head in inkberrow - Real nice old fashioned pub good food and real nice beers gsrden
- Verified traveler (6/5): Room 1 g - Check in was good staff very nice and food was great but the room they give me had a bad smell and didn’t have a shower so I asked to be moved and I got lucky if I ever went back I would ask for room 2 and not room 1 as for the other rooms I wouldn’t know
- Verified traveler (6/5): Ok for a quick stop over - Staff friendly, accommodation and decor tired, good food and drink.
- Carl (8/5): 1 night stay - Lovely country inn , didn’t eat but restaurant looked lovely , good room , lovely bar , polite staff.
- gordon (8/5): nice inn with charecter - very friendly landlord landlady, made us feel very welcome, the home made pie was good.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Don't judge a book by looking at the cover - Sadly we initially did judge the hotel by its frontal external facade which is most impressive. Sadly the bedroom left much to be desired - the beds were the worst we have ever tried to sleep in.
The food was excellent and the beer great. Pleasant local company in the bar made for a most interesting and amusing evening.
Running a good restaurant and bar is however not the same as running a good hotel!
- Verified traveler (6/5): Business trip - Good food and friendly staff.
Very noisy until late at night
Impossible to fill kettle under tap in sink
- David (8/5): One night stay near worcester - Bedrooms are tired and need updating, ended up sleeping on top of covers as the room was warm and the bed had winter duvet on.the food was very good as was the service.
- Graham (8/5): Would stay again - Briliant food, basic room, nothing too much trouble for any of the staff.
- Mouse (8/5): Handy for touring round. - Checked in very easily. Found it strange that even staying there we had to book in for breakfast and dinner if
we were staying there - but still.
Room very quiet with everything one needs.
Bed extremely comfortable
A pleasant stay.
- David (8/5): Mid- journey stopover - Used as a stopover on our way to South Wales, we were going to be late (outside their check-in window) so called ahead. They were more than accommodating. There was a problem with hotels.com cancelling and rebooking, but was barely a blip, caused no problem beyond a bit of a conversation, and certainly not the Bull's Heads' fault. Bar area is small but service is efficient and friendly. Had a twin room (5). A quirky layout to the room but nothing wrong with that, room was clean, with enough towels (though a bath mat towel would be helpful I think). Beds were very soft, perhaps too soft!!!! hahaha We didn't experience any noise from outside as we didn't go up to our room until the bar closed. Breakfast the next morning was excellent, and for less than a tenner its worth it and then some. It's not the Four Seasons, and doesn't claim to be. Good size rooms, clean rooms, hot water (shower pressure was fine - I've seen some reviews to the contrary), good breakfast. What more do you need?
- Verified traveler (10/5): Lovely country pub with good food. - Stayed for one night with dinner and breakfast. Food was delicious with ales on tap.
The staff and owners are very welcoming and go above and beyond. The locals was very friendly also. There is a good wifi connection also.
It is lovely country pub and the beds are very comfortable. I had an early night and being pub, there is a little noise but did not stop me dropping off for a good nights sleep at 10pm.
Would happily stay here again.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Very nice stay - Beautiful pub and restaurant with good food. We had a very nice diner and reasonable prices. The staf is helpful and friendly. The place got some renovation: new carpet, fresh paint...the rooms are clean and fresh.
- Leigh (10/5): - Excellent Inn in a nice village. We stayed for the Cheltenham Gold Cup. Very respectable pricing and would go back.
- Ross (8/5): - Mix up with bill charged us for 2 nights when only staying one. Fixed up at desk then had to ask for refund as already debited to credit card.
- Mark (8/5): Nice village location - The staff were friendly and the room was comfortable, if a in need of re-decorating. A little noisy until closing time, but then it is a pub!
- Philip (8/5): nice stay - was a nice stay, food really good, room wasn't cleaned though. beds comfy, TV was tiny
- Verified traveler (10/5): - staff polite and very helpful
room clean and comfortable
- sharon (8/5): Lovely location - Really enjoyed our stay. Thank you. The room had a comfy clean bed.. I agree it's not 5 star as others have stated but it's charming and not pretentious. Slept well.
Great safe free parking.
Our evening meal could have been from a 5 star hotel It was gorgeous recommend rib eye with brandy & mushroom sauce.. delicious.
Lovely pub to chill in afterwards great service, good singer and friendly customers .. Felt welcome.
- June (10/5): Beautiful and quiet location - We stayed only one night as a half way stop from Exeter Devon to the Wirral. We were made very welcome and the hosts were friendly and very obliging, the Inn is situated in a very picturesque location. We definitely recommend staying here.
- Dan (2/5): Looks good on the outside but not so on the inside - The inn is situated in a very lovely village. The exterior is great, however, this is not matched by the interior.
Much more akin to a hostel but it would be difficult to describe it as 'hotel' accommodation.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Ok - There was a bit of music or noise after 2am , the shower pressure is very low and they don't have electric iron in case you want to use it.
The hotel doesn't have a wi-fi
- Chi-ki (10/5): Weekend business trip. - Owners were fantastic and look after their guests. As it is a pub the noise was not loud at all for a Saturday night. Food is good quality and overall the stay was lovely.
- GRAHAM (8/5): - Reception Good.
Food Very Good.
Real Ale on tap.
Value for money.
- Valerie (6/5): - The room was comfy but it was situated over the jukebox/loud speakers for music- which I had to go and asked to be turned down at 0100.
- Jacqueline (8/5): - We were in the area on a house buying expedition and were advised that the rooms were connected to WiFi however, this was not the case in our room. It was too far from the router but there was a good connection in the bar and dinning room. We had a warm welcome, the room and bed were comfortable but lacked a mirror in the bedroom. The shower was adequate. We ate at the Inn that evening and had breakfast the following morning. The evening meal was excellent as was the 'continental' breakfast.
