• R&JSpencer (10/5): Comfortable stay - We had a lovely welcome from the apartment owners. From the beautiful hallway right to our apartment - everything was well presented and cared for. Our apartment was perfect - everything we needed for our 3 night stay. We took up the £5 per night offer to use a parking permit for the nearby carpark that's just around the corner. The kitchen is fully equipped with plenty of cups, plates, pans, and cutlery. The bed and bedding was ever so comfortable with bath sheets in the bathroom (it's great to have large towels when away) We will definitely return. N/A

• Laura (10/5): A lovely and memorable three-generation family holiday in Whitby and York! - Incredible location - less than a 10 minute walk into town but also away from the noise. Beautiful apartment - immaculately clean, very well provisioned, lovely touches (milk and biscuits on arrival) and laundry facilities. Benita the owner was incredibly friendly and helped us sort out parking and gave advice on good restaurants. Nothing! What a wonderful property. We cannot honestly think of anything negative in our experience. Thank you Benita!

• Mary (10/5): Perfect, hosts were lovely and so helpful. - The property was a beautiful building inside and out, very clean and comfortable and the full size pull down bed in the lounge was a really pleasant surprise as we were expecting a sofa bed. Absolutely nothing to dislike The stairs were difficult for my elderly parents but we knew that before we travelled, if you have mobility issues this is not the property for you.

• Claire (9/5): Great location, lovely accommodation. - Excellent location, modern clean room, pristine towels & bedding. Comfy beds. Everything you need in kitchen, lovely views from lounge & kitchen windows. Stayed in Apartment 3, up few flights of stairs, could be a problem for older people or anyone with mobility issues. On day of departure, had to lug cases round to council car park, as no spaces out front, but Fayvan is centrally located right on sea front, so to be expected.

• Amanda (8/5): Beautiful apartment, good location but we were cold - Benita welcomed us, the whole place is clean & well kept. Great size kitchen, washing up liquid & sponge & cloth & one tea towel provided. Welcome tea tray & fresh milk in the fridge. Very comfortable bed & pillows. Bonus to have a bath with electric shower too. Sea view from the kitchen & living room. Central heating was not adjustable, Benita did tell us upon arrival that it was an eco system & was programmed. But we were cold & had to go out Friday afternoon to buy a heater. That was the main dislike about our stay. Tv stations very limited & no Netflix. Toilet lid doesn’t stay up & drops down on to your back when you’re sat on the toilet.

The only thing was it felt like the mattress sloped off at the sides so you felt like you were slipping out of bed sometimes and the duvet was too heavy for our liking, but neither of these things would stop us from returning.

The stairs put - Location peaceful and quiet Too many stairs leading up to the appointment no 4. Never expected so many. We expected the room to have a bay window looking over the front of the property .

The owners went the extra mile to remove seagull nests off the roof because they can make a lot of noise. Have already recommended to a friend. Only very small thing would for a non stick pan for the kitchen.

Comfortable and extremely clean apartment, with everything we needed. Would definitely stay here again, and would highly recommend it to others. There was a lot of steep stairs to the apartment.

• Matthew (10/5): Absolutely stunning place, parking just at the side so car safe and the apartment was spotless - Absolutely brilliant place. It was spotless! The bed was one of the comfiest beds we have ever slept in, it had everything in there needed fridge ect, even fresh flowers were on the table, such a homely feel to it and super cosy, could get onto our Netflix to watch films at night, the view out of the front window was perfect! The lady and gentleman we met were so lovely very happy and kind, the place smelt so nice when you walked in, will definitely be coming back and will be telling friends and family about it! Was in perfect place 10 minute walk into the main Whitby attractions and pizza place just round the corner! ☺️ brilliant for families or just for couples Honestly can not say 1 bad thing about this place!

• Stephen (3/5): The accom' is a 1 bedroom apartment with pull out bed in the lounge with toilet in the bedroom - The 8 flights of stairs to access the property. 60 steps. One of our party, the 90-year-old could not contemplate the climb. We had to book a room at a neighboring hotel to address this problem, At an extra cost. Only one person could use the apartment.

My sister and I were greeted by the lady that runs Fayvan, Benito, who was really pleasant, gave us advice and information about the apartment and Whitby and couldnt do enough for us, how lovely! We really cannot fault Fayvan apartments, everything we needed was there, well equipped, spotlessly clean and our host Benito was very informative and was available anytime we needed her.

The location is superb - very quiet and right next to the beach. The host was fantastic with quick response time who met and greeted us on arrival. Can't think of anything.

• Clare (10/5): Great Apartment - A real home-from-home - First time at the Fayvan Apartments and we will definitely be back, it really is a little gem of a place. Benita was the perfect host and so friendly (hope you are feeling better). Apartment 4 Only downside - there was over 70+ stairs to climb but don't let this put you off, you only have to climb them once a day if you spend the full day out and about. The living area was very spacious with a dining table and 4-chairs to eat from, wall-mounted tv, settee and two armchairs. Fully functioning kitchen with fridge/freezer, cooker, microwave, toaster & kettle and there was also a little welcome pack consisting of tea, coffee & biscuits and a small bottle of milk in the fridge - a nice little touch. Kitchen towels and oven gloves were provided and also a cleaning cupboard with washing liquid, hoover, cloths, iron and board. The bedroom had a double bed and bunk beds (also in the living room there is a wall cupboard which when opened contained a fold-down double bed), a wardrobe (with extra blankets etc) and drawers (with a hairdryer in the top drawer). There was also, what looked like, a travel cot (but can't be sure). The bathroom is situated within the bedroom and included a bath/shower, toilet and wash sink which also had a lovely little touch of some small toiletries including toilet rolls and towel. This really was a home-from-home with everything you could possibly need for a little holiday away. See you again very soon :)

• Verified traveler (10/5): - We had a very relaxing stay at the Fayvan apartments. Benita was a perfect host. The apartment had everything we needed with obvious attention to details made. I wish we could have stayed longer but look forward to a return stay in the future.

• Gemma (8/5): Ideal for families - perhaps not for 2 couples. - Really lovely apartment with a great kitchen and main bedroom. Perfectly situated for seeing all of Whitby and as a bonus parking was easy too (and free out of season). The landlady is incredibly friendly and helpful and couldn't have been more accommodating. Something to bear in mind is that the second double bed is a pull down in the living room - with the main catch being that the bathroom is situated as an ensuite to the bedroom. This means if you are two couples sharing and have the living room, you have to enter the bedroom of the other couple to use the loo so not ideal! The bedroom also has bunk beds though so this place would be absolutely ideal for friends sharing or a family rather than the two couples we were.

• Christopher (10/5): Lost in Whitby - We are a family with two children, aged 7 and 8 years old. We arrived for a 2-night stay and were met at the door as agreed. A key was promptly handed to us along with a parking permit. Our 3rd floor apartment was easy to locate, adjacent to the communal washing machine. The apartment was very well laid out and clean. Although I am very fussy we could find nothing to quibble over. The bedroom had a nice double bed and a set of bunk-beds which suited us all. My wife found the kitchen to be very well equipped with pots and pans, cutlery, a coffee maker, a toaster, a hoover, .. everything that you might need. We had a nice sea view from the living room.
