• Omar Anchassi (8/5): - Incredible location in a beautiful and lovingly-restored historic property. My room was spacious and clean, and the staff were very helpful. The room was pretty good value for money, all things considered. As far as I could tell, the room had no AC, which is unusual for California (probably because it is a historic building). It was rather stuffy in the 20s°C and must be quite intolerable in the summer.
• Preston (10/5): It was good. I recommend. Quiet but social. - Everything was good. Their was homeless people on the grass directly outside the property. One of em had open wounds on his face. He was lying down on a dirty brown mattress he carried from somewhere.

• CARLOTA (10/5): Impromptu vacay the valley - The ornate and Bohemian approach for the decor with a touch of vintage and classic The facilities closed very early in regards to the kitchen and game room only. I understand why though some people maybe night owls. Maybe provide them a little evening area or something where they wouldn't disturb people. That's just a thought

• Chris (9/5): A very classy hostel! - Beautiful building, GREAT kitchen setup, dining area and common spaces, fantastic location, very nice staff and very clean. excellent value. The third floor is very hard to access - would be nice if you could fix the elevation. One of the sink's in the 3rd floor women's bathroom was not draining, but otherwise it was a super clean, nice bathroom.
• Darla (10/5): It was a great and peaceful space in the common areas. The dormatory style of the bedrooms was fair. - Location and the reduced price for parking on site. The parking was gated, and was one of the biggest reasons for staying at the property because the building and locations that I had business meetings at were in walking distance of the HI property. The bathroom size. It's a shared space, and if you are using the sink, and another person needs to use the bathroom have to wait in order to move around to get to the bathroom. It would require the bathroom to be remodeled. If there was a way to get donations or a grant, I would put it towards improving the bathroom.

• Vivian (10/5): It was just perfect for me. The staff, the location. My room was right next to the bathroom. - It was good for me. I just had a short walk to the Convention Center every day so I could leave my car. I want to recommend the Moroccan Restaurant. Delicious and easy to walk to from the Hostel. Just a couple of blocks. You should put that up on your board with all the restaurants. The coffee could be stronger.

Beautiful Older Gentrified Neighborhood. Stately Mansion of a Victorian Home that you get to stay in ! ... Lots of fun things to see n do CLOSE BY ! Privacy curtains would have been nice ... more n more Hostels have them .on the bunk beds.

Very well kept it’s a work of Art. The person who checked me in Shayla was so kind. She gets an A+. The room itself is OK. The bed was a little hard and it had a funny smell, but basically it was comfortable. The bathroom shower had long black hairs on the wall. It was disgusting. There was no soap even though there were soap containers. Someone is not cleaning the room correctly.
• Capriana (9/5): Pretty good, on the whole - The rooms was small but cozy, as was the kitchen, parlor, and dining room. An eclectic mix of decor from many cultures worldwide adorn the parlor/lobby I don't know of it's just a Sac thing, but little oversized fruit-fly looking creatures were absolutely everywhere on the Property . Not enough to be dangerous, but enough to be annoyingly ubiquitous.

The room had all that I needed, and the place was a quiet place to rest at a great value. The staff were very friendly and responsive.

It is in a great location, and I would absolutely stay here again. Also, despite it being an old building, it was heated perfectly on a night where there was a freezing warning in place! Shared bathrooms are not for everybody, but it works for me!

• Maria (9/5): - Love this place so much, I felt like I was truly living all the North California Victorian architecture. Checking was really easy and the vibe overall just fantastic. There is an amazing Games Room that it's worth to check out. When checking out you have to bring your used sheets and towels to the front desk, not something that I disliked but weird for me as it was the first time that an accommodation asks that.

When I arrived to my dorm after the check-in, around 20:00 a woman was there with some plastic bags on my bed. First she toll me she was waiting for some friends and when I let know her that was my bed, she said ohhh Sorry, I'm the housekipping I'm leaving ... she cleared my bed and she left the room The door of the restroom is not cleae; requiere~

• Deanna (7/5): A good value and location, an interesting building, unfriendly management - This is a beautiful building and it has an exotic mood because the lighting is so low in the main hall. It could be a speakeasy though no drinking is allowed. And the rooms have high ceilings and appropriate decor and are clean. It’s also really close to the Capitol if you’re in town for government work. While some of the staff is nice, the vibe is unfriendly, which is unusual for a Hostel. It was nearly empty, and I got there one hour early and instead of allowing me to place my bags in my room I waited one hour in the front area. The manager was right there and could have easily been accommodating, but decided not to be.

• Mariia (7/5): - To bardzo klimatyczne miejsce i osoby pracujące tam są serdeczni i bardzo pomocni. 1. W pokojach dla kobiet było absurdalnie zimno w nocy i nikt o to za bardzo nie dbał. Nie mogłyśmy w trakcie dnia tam przebywać, bo marzłyśmy. Codziennie musiałam chodzić i prosić, żeby włączyli nam ogrzewanie. Bardzo to dziwne, serio. 2. Za 10 dni mojego pobytu ani razu mi nie wymienili pościel, ani ręcznika. Musiałam sama prosić nowy ręcznik. Pościel na końcu pobytu musisz zdjąć sam i znieść na recepcji. Pierwszy raz z czymś takim spotkałam. 3. Ogólnie w hostelu dosyć specyficzny zapach, może to od dezynfekcji, ale nie mogę powiedzieć, że jest przyjemny. Wszystkie kanapy, poduszki w pokojach dziennych są pachnące i do prania. Ogólnie w hostelu jest bardzo czysto i dlatego to tak zadziwia.
• Lynne (10/5): Great safe location with a price that can’t be beat - Love this historic mansion. When we were checking in a guest was playing piano in the living room. We stayed in a good sized private room with double bed on the second floor. Shared bathroom was just next door. It is great to be able to cook in a full kitchen. Parking inside a locked gate on the property is $8 a day and is first come. Location is walkable to Capitol, downtown, midtown, restaurants, coffee shops and bars. I am sorry they no longer offer breakfast.

• Robert (10/5): Cool venue, excellent hostel experience - Very interesting building, comfortable beds, excellent kitchen, bathrooms are fine, staff are friendly. The lockers could be bigger, as it was difficult to squeeze all my stuff in, backpackers should be prepared to get creative with stuffing your belongings in the locker.
