It worked well! The hotel appears new, very clean, rooms large. Staff is amazing, breakfast tasty but you have to pay. Food at the restaurant tasty and healthy too. We had balcony with view of the river and sunset, was magical. Outdoor pool is very nice!

The day of our departure we had breakfast in the restaurant our server Kim was amazing she was so personable and attentive even though she was very busy. The food was very good I had an omelet and my wife had a waffle both were exactly. I asked Kim who cooked my omelet and she said Terell the cook that was one of the best omelet I've had in a long time. There was also a gentleman named Patrick he was also very nice. Over all our experience here was wonderful we will be back.

The mattress was hard and the room was hot. The ac was not good and was loud. The shower was one of the best. I would not recommend. Wont be staying here anymore.

- Sightsee16249567692 (8/5): Good budget hotel - My visit to Charleston was cut short by snow, but I would definitely stay at this hotel again. HGI isn't usually my brand of choice, but this one was close to the event I was attending. Everything was clean and comfortable and there's a nice bar in the lobby. It looks either fairly new or recently renovated. The view of the marina is nice. The staff were friendly. I didn't receive an honors upgrade, but I won't hold that against them.

One of the most uncomfortable and unprofessional hotel experiences I’ve ever encountered. On top of the fire alarm going off from 2-3am. I was informed that I was allowed to check out late, and essentially was lied to. I would not have attempted to do so if I hadn’t been told it was permitted. When the explanation I was later given by Mackenzi at the front didn’t make sense, I asked to speak with a manager— to understand the policy. The second the manager walked around the corner, I was met with an aggressive and dismissive attitude that was completely unwarranted. I hadn’t even opened my mouth. At no point was my intention to create conflict, yet I was treated as though I had done something wrong simply for asking what I believe to be pretty a reasonable question. What made this worse was the complete lack of patience, empathy, or basic hospitality. A simple and professional explanation— such as clearly stating the rules, or not telling me I could check out late in the first place, would have resolved everything. Instead, I was given a pretty interesting explanation - not giving me permission, because then they couldn’t “sell the room”. This statement, her tone and overall just the treatment made it clear that guest experience is not a priority here. Just their money. I’ve worked in and experienced the hospitality industry extensively, and I’ve never been treated this way. It was disappointing and frankly sad to witness such a lack of professionalism. Because of this interaction, I will not be returning. I hope future guests are treated with more respect and patience when asking reasonable questions— though based on this experience, I wouldn’t recommend taking that risk.

Close to everything but not a great place to try to walk anywhere. A major intersection lies between the hotel and the local attractions. Uber solves this but if you look at the location on a map do note the roadways next to the hotel.

We stood outside for about an hour w/other guests. No communication from hotel staff during the event. No apologies from hotel after event. Bathroom sink plunger in #305 was broken.

- Glenn (8/5): - We picked this hotel because of the water marina view from some of the rooms which was perfect for our 3 night stay there. It is also located within a 10-15 minute drive to the French Quarter of Charleston. Note that there are no real dining options nearby and you will need a car to reach many of the restaurants. There is a grocery store just down the street which was convenient to get some drinks/snacks. Also the entrance to the hotel is located on a road that does not allow you to make left hand turns on exiting the premises. So getting to and from the hotel was a bit awkward (must drive down the street and circle back to head in the opposite direction.)
- Brown (8/5): - I enjoyed the room and the balcony. I didn't like that the pool was just a few feet deep, the entire length. I didn't like that only one elevator worked all of the time. The 2nd elevator would let you out, but you couldn't get back in.

- Sam (10/5): What a great time in Downtown Savannah - My wife and I stayed at your hotel downtown Savannah twice in a weeks time we stopped in Savannah on our way from NC traveling to miami to visit our grand kids. The first stay we had a room on the 4th floor and the view of the water water very nice and the room was very nice as well.on our way traveling home from miami we decided to stay at your hotel. We got a room on the first floor and we loved the room but my wife loved being able to step out on the balcony and watch the ships cruise by she took so many pictures. We loved our stay I can't complain about anything. The staff was excellent and the food at the restaurant was excellent our waitress was so nice.i forgot her name but I do know that she said she loved working at the hotel a o much she had put in a request to work full time there. My wife and I hope that she gets her wish.

- Bruce (10/5): - Very clean and comfortable hotel. Has a nice rooftop bar. Excellent staff. The only negative thing is the food in their restaurant is not very good at all. I would stay again.
- JoeE1641 (10/5): Great hotel, good location if you are driving - We truly enjoyed our stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful! The room was large, clean and easy to access from the parking garage. We would stay here again in the future. The bathroom was a good size with plenty of water pressure and room to lay out toiletries. We picked this hotel for the location as a central point between Folly Beach and downtown Charleston. Everything was between a 10 to 20 minute drive. The only downside is that parking in Charleston is pretty much non-existent. So, we found taking an Uber to dinner or excursions into downtown was the way to go. Only exception was when we vistited Fort Sumpter. There was plenty of parking there. They clean the rooms every day, which was really nice and something we haven't experienced in a long time at any hotel. They were also very responsive to any text message question or requests we had. Only cons were: - parking is $20/night. Which is apparently fairly inexpensive based on our research. - the entrance/exit to the hotel is a one way, so you do have make a weird U-turn about a half mile away if you are going to or coming from downtown. This was a fairly minor inconvenience. - It was fairly expensive, but not that bad by Charleston hotel standards - there was no safe in the room. - nothing within easy walking distance.

- LYNNE (8/5): - Near highway and hospital- a little noisy. Staff was excellent, rooms were clean. Location requires car or uber/lyft to get around.
- Colleen (6/5): - Parking was easy and there were many elevators to connect to the ground floor parking. The bed was very squeaky and uncomfortable not what I expect when staying in a Hilton branded hotel.
- U1772EEbrandonc (2/5): Horrible Customer Service - Upon my arrival at the hotel sharply at 7:00 pm, I headed towards the front desk, anticipating a seamless check-in experience. Yet, my expectations were quickly dashed as the front desk clerk, seemingly preoccupied, brushed me off without acknowledgment. After a lapse of three minutes, I was finally asked to present my identification and credit card. A perplexing moment ensued when the clerk noted that my reservation, executed through an executive company, did not correspond with the credit card provided. Subsequently, the clerk mentioned the necessity of charging a card for incidental expenses. This prompted the involvement of the Assistant General Manager, Elizabeth, who entered the scene exuding an inexplicably unpleasant demeanor, leading to a distressing exchange. Ultimately, she canceled my reservation, an experience starkly contrasting my previous stays, which had been devoid of such concerns. A lingering discomfort suggests that biases, potentially rooted in the ethnicity of my skin, might have subtly influenced this unwarranted denial of service.

I feel it could be compensated with free breakfast. We got room with hwy view even hotel wasn't busy. It is bad advertisement/policy for guests.

- Shanna (10/5): - We walked to the historic district even though it’s 35 minutes away. It was great weather and we discovered lots of places along the way. The hotel itself was immaculate and has such great staff that are so very helpful. The pool is small but nice for a few laps to cool off.

We were in walking distance from a great restaurant, our view was incredible, we were no more than a 10 to 15 minute drive from anywhere we wanted to go, the lobby was beautifully decorated and smells amazing and our room was very clean. The only down side was the room was rather small, the bathroom and shower were extremely small and the mattresses left a lot to be desired.

- Rick (2/5): Best to look for another place or stay - No operating shower, clogged toilet upon arrival, broken pool chairs with sharp broken protruding screws, no disclosure of extra daily fee for parking on site.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Nope. Just Don't Go There. - It was horrible from the start. Check out the view. It's the rooftop which I assume was the HVAC system with standing (moldy) water. This room should be a storage and should no be sellable. Since it was a holiday weekend, they said they could not move me. Other rooftp views via the hallway were covered up. This was a total disrespect and a money grab.
- Ornella (10/5): - Waterfront Location: This hotel is in such a great spot — right on the banks of the Ashley River in downtown Charleston. Clean and Comfortable Stay: The rooms were super clean, and some even have full waterfront views or balconies with partial views of the river and marina. There’s also a rooftop sitting area overlooking the Ashley River. Fitness Center: The fitness center is really nice, Easy Access to Freeways: It’s close to the freeway, so getting around Charleston was easy. Recommendation: If you can, definitely try to get a room with a waterfront view — it makes the stay even better!

- 391jts (10/5): Visit to Charleston - Our stay started with a friendly and knowledgeable front desk staff . When we got to our marina facing balcony room which was amazing although it was a bit warm so we called the front desk and they sent up Dillon and let me tell you Dillon was on it! We were going to dinner so Dillon assured us he had it handled and boy did he. We got back from dinner and we ran into him on the way to the room. He went up with us to ensure it was all fixed and it was. Things go wrong in property's but the staff and Dillon where amazing.

- Deborah3185 (2/5): Horrible from beginning to end - From the time that we entered and met, the young lady checking us in she never smiled. She never made us feel welcome. This was a total disappointment staying here. We have stayed in many Hilton and this one misses the mark on every checklist . Let’s start off with the design the lobby and the restaurant is really all in one when people are trying to eat in the morning. It’s nothing but chaos. Let’s let’s talk about the food they offer for $15. It was horrible grits scrambled eggs that’s about it. Maybe some dried cereal. Our room we paid 30 extra dollars for for a water view with a terrace. I’m here to tell you. It’s the only thing that we liked at this Hilton location.. the room 332 was the size of a closet with tons of furniture put in it so you couldn’t even move around comfortably. We were told that this hotel was updated last year exactly what did they update? They didn’t even have streaming TV talk about being in the dark ages and an old TV. Both nights people were walking down the halls at 23 4 o’clock in the morning, talking loud having no respect.. this did not feel like the level of Hiltons that we have stayed in in the past they really missed the mark at this location. We will not be coming back.
