• Jaimie (9/5): Blissful oasis of calm with staff who are first class - The hotel is a living museum and is so well cared for, from the extensive gardens to the rooms themselves, it’s hugely impressive. I visited Grand Centara hotel in Hua Hin more than a decade ago and it felt like such a special place. Having the opportunity to stay here for a week was really a dream come true. The staff are utterly fantastic and cannot do enough for you, and the deal I got for the week was unbelievable. The Centara is truly an oasis of calm and tranquility set against the backdrop of a very vibrant town and the usual hustle and bustle of Thailand. The hotel is undergoing renovation and in some places is showing its age. The management are very up front about this and the noise the nearby building site creates, but it doesn’t take away from the charm. The rooms are as true to they can be to their 1923 origins, which does mean plenty of “patina” on fixtures and fittings, but you cannot fault it for cleanliness.

Somit war der dritte Pool leider nicht nutzbar und zwischenzeitlich war der Baulärm (außerhalb der Hotelanlage) etwas störend.

• Malcolm (10/5): Luxurious serenity - This is our new favourite hotel! Breakfast with a view of the lawn is so tranquil. The swimming pool has lots of space and the design is interesting without being impractical. The staff are very helpful and friendly helping to create a relaxed and informal atmosphere. Nothing. Das erste Zimmer, das uns zugewiesen wurde, lag ganz am Ende der Anlage in unmittelbarer Nähe zu einer Großbaustelle. Aber nach Ablehnung dieses Zimmers wurde uns eines im Altbau (unrenoviert) zugewiesen, obwohl wir eine höhere Klasse gebucht hatten.

• Margaret (7/5): Pleasant stay would have been excellent if no work being carried out and Airconditing units were fit for purpose - Lovely location staff were all very nice As an older hotel with great character was the reason I chose this place however the air conditioning needs up graded not sufficient to cope with the heat very uncomfortable sleepless nights. Some work was being carried out at the hotel but didn’t really disrupt but some areas closed so didn’t get the full experience .A small light or candle would have been nice in order to sit out in the evening on my garden terrace . May stay again when further upgrades are made . But staff excellent and still a very beautiful hotel

• FRANCK (7/5): l 'expérience n a pas été à la hauteur de nos attentes - une expérience hors du temps - une attention à l'occasion de l'anniversaire de mon conjoint. les chambres rénovées sont trés confortables tout en gardant un cachet authentique le bruit causé par les travaux sur une partie de l'hotel et les villas.. je suppose que nous étions sur place pendant que des grues battaient des pieux par vibration. nous n'avons eu aucune information lors de notre réservation sur les travaux en cours . Une partie du personnel comprend partiellement l'anglais.
• Michael (3/5): Nightmare, see above, bearing in mind the 14 days stay cost me £2,250 - Breakfast It was like living in the middle of a construction site. Pile driving was being carried out everyday even on a Sunday. This was due to Centara extending their hotel, meaning we lost over 50% of the grounds, two swimming pools, tennis courts and the closure of restaurants and coffee shop. It didn't help that right next door was a massive construction site where they are building luxury apartments. Centara should have told us when we booked and so should Booking.com. The site of Booking.com is still showing all the facilities as available when they are not. I was offered a 10% discount, which was an insult, but they said they would do that, still haven't seen it.

• JohnJ233 (10/5): The Centara Grand Hotel is as perfect as ever. - My wife and I have been going to the Centara Grand Hotel since 2009 Hua Hin and we have completed in the region of 25 visits. Our recent visit from 3rdJanuary through the 28th of February was as usual immensely rewarding. As a couple who are now in our 80s and we received the most wonderful warm care and support from the staff throughout our eight weeks stay.. This eight weeks stay became two weeks longer because Qatar airlines cancelled our flight one hour after we had checked in! We were so fortunate that the hotel was able to offer us a room in view of the emergency that we faced. The colonial style of the hotel and the magnificent grounds, near the sea, makes it an absolutely perfect venue for our winter holiday. The service standards in the hotel are simply outstanding. For people of our age it is almost like being in a care home!

It's not a place where breakfast is filled with noise and chaos... What it is is a place of tranquility, defined elegance where classical architecture meets modern amenities. Where staff care about your experience. The staff all go above and beyond from the gardeners who work to ensure that the garden takes your breath away to the reception staff who are first to greet you with a smile.. Never underestimate the difference that you feel when you are a guest at a hotel that truly wants your experience to be magical. We stayed in a junior suite in the heritage wing. Large balcony overlooking the pool and the sea. The room itself included a walk in closet which I have decided I need at home... Thank you to all those who have made our holiday so outstanding and looking forward to revisiting.

It is a truly stunning hotel in a great location to be able to experience all Hua Hin has to offer. The staff are really friendly and helpful, the food is amazing, the hotel is so welcoming. I would highly recommend a stay here and if you can, experience the the Club Lounge.
• Christopher525 (9/5): - Es war ausser einer Kleinigkeit perfekt! Die Preise in der Speisekarte sind nicht die finalen Preise. Es kommen noch Tax, sowie eine Services pauschale hinzu. ( Im Kleingedruckten ) Mein Vorschlag, schreibt die Preise final aus, dann ärgert man sich nicht und bringt die Angestellten nicht in eine unangenehme Situation.

• Uwe (5/5): Construction noise - not very nurturing experience if you want to decompress - Great breakfast buffet. Large rooms with a historic vibe albeit a bit dated. Beautiful garden. The birthday cake in my room was a truly nice touch. Staff always friendly and helpful. I love this property but this time I can't give a good rating. Taking full price for a resort with loud construction sites right in the middle of it just don't fly. The tea room was closed and the alternative just didn't cut it.
• Recentguests (10/5): Another great holiday - Another wonderful stay at the Centara. They’re renovating the hotel at the moment but, as a couple who have visited for at approx 20 years we didn’t notice any disruption. Thank you to all staff from the ever smiling guy who greets you at as you step out of the car, to the cleaning staff, can’t do enough for you. Jan (the general manager, is very visible and is always on alert for anything he could help with. (I’m always glad to go home as we have two dogs we miss like crazy when away) but the minute we get home we start planning our next trip. We did a trip (organised at the tour desk) to an animal rescue. We also (last year) did a Monsoon valley vineyard tour. Both trips were enjoyable. Thank you once again, Jan and your amazing team. ❤️

• royanthonys (10/5): Excellent. - Just returned from another fabulous visit at the Centara Hua Hin. This was enhanced by being able to spend a Week with some of our Family and Great Granson! The Centara is some what unique being able to cater for all generations. To have such a wonderful experience with Four Generations all Ably catered for is why so many of us return year after year. The Hotel is having major refurbishment at the moment and you will experience some noise from the extensive Building Work. I have to say this did not impact on our visit and work stopped at 5.00pm. We are already booked again and will be returning in August. What stands out Heads and Shoulders above many Hotels are the Fabulous Staff nothing is too much trouble they seem to know what you want before you do. Hopefully when we get back “our” Room will have been refreshed and ready and waiting. Thank you Jan and all your wonderful staff. R.

• Grażyna (8/5): - Położenie idealne,wszędzie blisko,dostęp do plaży.Sniadania super,każdy mógł znaleźć coś dla siebie.Obsluga bez zastrzeżeń.Bardzo szerokie łóżko,wygodne. Pokój koniecznie wymaga renowacji,szczególnie łazienka.Za mało gniazdek elektrycznych.Za mała szafa,w zasadzie rzeczy trzymalismy w walizkach.Oswietlenie pokoju słabe. Przy basenie maty na leżaki brudne,brudne płytki- może zmywane,ale za rzadko. Obiekt w trakcie remontu,remontowany też basen-budowa nowego.Halas przez cały dzień,także przy Hiltonie obok.Jest to dokuczliwe.

Aber, dank unserer Reklamation, erhielten wir ein Upgrade. Herzlichen Dank dafür... Wir können Asja (2. Front Office Managerin) & (Bank) beim Frühstück, sind empfehlenswert u kompetente Mitarbeiter. Auch, die liebenswerten Mitarbeiter beim Gepäck u helfenden, immer lachenden Portiers... wow... haben uns immer ein Lachen geschenkt u gezaubert. Kleines Manko, bei der Zimmer Reinigung, einschließlich, Couverture am Abend... Da wäre ein Update bei den Girls unbedingt von Nöten. Wir, wären darüber froh gewesen. Ansonsten, herzlichen Dank
• Daniel (7/5): - Das Centara hat sehr viel Stil. Das Personal ist sehr freundllich. Mein Zimmer war grossartig. Nur die Balkonstühle waren etwas unbequem. Das Hotel liegt am Meer und sehr nah zum Zentrum Der Baulärm war stärker als ich gedacht habe. Daher fand ich den Preis etwas zu hoch.

• anja (7/5): Teleurstellend - Mooi gebouw, goede locatie, sfeervol Er waren renovatiewerkzaamheden waardoor veel herrie en diverse faciliteiten gesloten. Dit deed ernstig afbreuk aan het verblijf terwijl er totaal geen compensatie werd geboden . Bij het boeken is dit niet vermeld.
• Clerckx (10/5): Super fijne bediening - Super lief personeel en uiteraard de lieve behulpzame managers we vonden onze matras te hard en dit werd meteen verholpen. We kijken er naar uit om de volgende keer terug naar de villa te gaan We hebben al veel gezien maar ligstoelen reserveren door boek erop te leggen zonder dat je er bent soms halve dag gewoon weggaan is walgelijk en niet meer van deze tijd 2 sterren toeristen en dan nog de oudere gasten gewoon walgelijke mensen die zich niets aan trekken van de medemens. Ik zou veel dit publiek 1 dag manager willen zijn. Het zou voorgoed opgelost zijn

• mhamersly (10/5): Highly recommend unique and an excellent experience - Unique hotel and grounds. Started in the 1920s it expanded outwards About 30 English acres. Three stories in height it takes you back in time. The grounds are superb as is the service Rooms are clean but dated, however they are updating currently and look forward to the improvements You will want to add breakfast to your room as it is outstanding large variety, both western and Thai food. The fruit is excellent Have been here four times and look forward to our next visit.
• Peter (10/5): Eines der schönsten Hotels, die wir kennengelernt haben - Absolut schönes Hotel, wer gediegene Architektur zu schätzen weiß. Phantastischer Garten und direkt am Strand. Kurze Wege zu dem Zentrum von Hua Hin. Gutes Frühstück und nettes bPersonal. Booking.com hätte VOR der Buchung informieren können, dass z.Zt. Renovierungsarbeiten im Hotel und im nahen Umfeld stattfinden, die erst in ein paar Wochen abgeschlossen werden können.

• N3297WPpeterh (10/5): A great Colonial hotel - We stayed here for 5 days at the end of a Far East tour and it was by far the best hotel of our stay. The staff are very friendly and efficient, the surroundings superb. The hotel is undergoing refurbishment but they are managing it well by doing one wing at a time and minimising noise before 10.00 and after 5.00 We scored only 4 on accommodation as we stayed in a wing that has not yet been refurbished and the rooms are very dark. However we did check out the refurbished rooms and these are excellent. Many people comment that they see this hotel as a second home and keep returning - well, we will certainly be back.

Coast Strandbar, langsamer Service. Freundlichkeit der Mitarbeiter für Thailand unterdurchschnittlich. Frühstücksbuffet eher europäisch, wenig asiatische Auswahl.

• yoshihiko (9/5): ほぼパーフェクトでした＼(^o^)／ - The Clubの利用は期待以上でした。今回は9歳の孫を連れての夫との3人でのバカンスは、朝食以外にも夜までのサービスは大変助かりました！　タオルやティッシュの追加等、早急な対応は有り難かったです。 今回はジュニアスイートの利用でしたが、キングサイズのベッドの目につかない箇所には老巧化が目立ちました。 2週間の滞在中のシーツ交換などはやや不満がありました。 シャワールームの排水がもう少し改善されれば嬉しいですが…

Had a great stay at the Centara grand Hua Hin for a family Christmas Holiday.But when we checked out we seemed rushed to pay our final bill that appeared to be quite high. Unfortunately it wasn’t until we returned home and I had converted from THB to GBP we realised that we were overcharged by the amount of 12000THB. I initially emailed the hotel twice with no reply. My wife then emailed addressed to the general manager and it was clear they agreed that it was their mistake. Normally in situations like this you would expect a refund in a timely manner. OVER THREE AND A HALF WEEKS STILL NONE. after several emails to and from all we get is feeble excuses. Such a shame to what was a great hotel. Beware and check your bill and don’t fall into this trap.
