Good breakfast
- Warren (10/5): - Lovely B&B in a beautiful setting - really helpful host and excellent breakfast!
- Granville (10/5): - The owners made us feel so welcomed. Breakfast was excellent. The grounds we're beautifully maintained, quiet and scenic. Luna and Poppy, the friendly pet dogs, greeted us with tail wags. We hope to come back here. Best place yet that we have stayed.
- David (10/5): - Noreen and Joe were amazing hosts, very knowledgeable and helpful. The breakfast was wonderful. I would definitely like to stay here again. The grounds were beautiful, I’m just sad it was rainy and we couldn’t sit out on the lovely patio.
- Agnetha (10/5): Kan varmt rekommenderas. - Mycket trevligt värdpar och ett fantastiskt ställe med en härlig trädgård, god frukost och bekväma sängar!
- Hans-Erik (10/5): Top dollar - Lækkert stort værelse, smuk have og lækker morgenmad.
- Michael (10/5): - Lovely stay. Noreen was very friendly and helpful! Breakfast was delicious!
- Katherine (10/5): Expect to be pampered! - When my husband I arrived at Kilcatten Lodge we were amazed by the landscape, but even more by the inside of the establishment. There was not a speck of dust or pet hair from the 2 labs to be found any where. We were pampered by the owners with the lodging, breakfast, and information, and their positive outlook on life was endearing.
- Susannah (10/5): - This was a lovely experience, comfy beds, very remote and quiet and a lovely home cooked breakfast in the morning. The hosts were delightful and very helpful.
- Richard (10/5): Lovely stay - Lovely host , beautiful place , much enjoyed our stay, met lula the dog , breakfast was great
- David (10/5): - kilcatten lodge was absolutely fabulous, recommended 👌 would have liked some tea/ coffee making kit in the room though ...awesome place though 👍
- Robert (10/5): - Great place. Hard to find at night.
- Cornelia (10/5): - We were very happy to have landed at Noreen's and Joe's place as our first landing spot in Ireland.
Noreen and Joe were extremely welcoming and made sure our stay was a great success.
The choices for breakfast were plentiful and tasty.
We can highly recommend this place. Besides our room we had the use of a common room as well and there is plenty of outdoor space if the weather is cooperating.
- James (10/5): - Beautiful country side setting and wonderful breakfast.
- Salvatore (10/5): Bellissima camera, tranquilla e silenziosa. - Bellissima struttura in campagna, a 2 km da Timoleague. Bella camera, luminosa. Buonissima colazione.
- Ann (8/5): - Nice big room, lovely property, nice owners. Very rural, remote location, gotten to on very narrow roads so coming and going is slow. Owner asks you to pre-order breakfast at a set time, which we did not like doing. But the bed was a real negative. Mattress was quite uncomfortable as you could feel the springs. The closest village was completely closed on Monday when we arrived. We had to drive further to Clonkilty for lunch. Only one place open for dinner in Timoleague.
- Denis (10/5): - Just about everything was superb. Way out in the country, cattle running in the field behind us, beautiful setting, gorgeous patio, service and food were top notch. It would be hard to find a fault here.
- MARION (8/5): - Nice location very comfortable room with table and chairs. Would have been nice to have tea making facilities in the room
- Florence (10/5): - Amazing!
- Mary (10/5): - Our stay at Kilcatten Lodge was very enjoyable. Our hosts Noreen and Joe were super friendly and welcoming. Our room was spotless, bright and airy. The breakfast was

- patrick (10/5): - Great. Very easy and friendly.
- Mary (10/5): Hidden Gem - Beautiful B&B in a very quiet location. Room was spotless. Noreen & Joe are wonderful hosts. Well appointed garden with lots of outdoor seating spots.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Beautiful garden, very well mentained, you can use a chimney in the evening in the garden, was lovely. But you need to like dogs, there are 2 big dogs, friendly enough, but doesnt let you to eat anything outside in the garden, which is a pitty. We visited the place during Covid 19, couldnt use the living room, was closed. Our room was clean, big enough, Covid 19 safety meassures in place. The house is slight isolated, If you want to eat in a restaurant, may be a problem, you need to book in advance or you need to drive 20 min, so you cant have a drink. Overal was a pleasant experience, we recommend the place.
- Lana (10/5): - Kilcatten Lodge is in the countryside, breathtaking views out the back of their property and we were sent to Courtmacsherry for supper which was superior. breakfast was wonderful, Great experience!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Beautiful property and wonderful hosts.
Noreen and Joe made our stay very special. Everything was superb.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Beautiful property and grounds beautiful rose garden
- KP (10/5): - Beautiful property and delicious breakfast. Only wish the rooms had AC on the warm night we stayed.
- Sally (10/5): - The property was beautiful and very clean. The owners were wonderful, friendly and very helpful. They called and made our dinner reservations for us, as we arrived later in the day. If we had stopped at this B&B at the beginning of the trip, it would have been very difficult to move on. Breakfast was great and plentiful. If I am ever in the vicinity of this B&B, I'll stay with Noreen and Joe.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Wonderful hosts.
Very comfortable large bedroom with a view.
Delicious breakfast with good choice.
- JB (10/5): - Beautiful spot, very nice staff, 2 very friendly dogs
- Pamela (10/5): Very Comfortable B & B - Kilcatten Lodge is a really lovely B & B we enjoyed our time here the owner was friendly & the breakfast was very good our room was big enough for & the location was good
- Murray (10/5): - We had a room with a double and single bed, and my wife moved to the single, when i took too much room. Shower a bit small, but as large as it can be with slope of roof. Noreen was a great hostess, offering to drive us to the Pink Elephant restaurant.
Breakfast was super. Location great for our progression along the coast.
- Diane S (8/5): A pleasant place to stay - A lovely warm welcome and a pleasant place to stay overnight. Lovely breakfast too. Thank you.
- laura (10/5): Friendly and Professionally Run - Friendly and professionally run. We recommend and would stay again.
- christina (10/5): Worth it! Very relaxing! - Fabulous host, luxury room, lovely homemade breakfast! Highly recommended!
- Harry (10/5): Absolutely wonderful hosts and stay - Absolutely enjoyed our overnight stay at Noreen's and Joe's place in the country. A bit hard to find but if you pay attention to the L signs along the R road you will find it. I did not ask Noreen for directions ahead thus it would have been simpler but nevertheless got there just by asking a neighbor who happened to be heading down the road. Noreen and Joe and son Shane are just folks that will forever leave you with good memories about your visit to their country. As you walk in they will instantly make you feel very welcome. Love every bit of our stay, thank you Noreen, Joe and Shane.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This B&B was lovely and the hostess made us feel so at home.
- Ian (10/5): Bed so comfy, we overslept. - B and B owner so accommodating. We were late arriving and she was incredibly understanding when we forget to put in our order for our breakfast the following morning. Great breakfast and very comfortable surroundings. A real home away from home.
- Gregory (10/5): Very clean place with good WiFi great breakfast. - A little hard to find without a GPS but what a great place. Very clean, breakfast lovely and run by the nicest people. A short drive into town (Joe,the owner offered a drive us in) there is a great pub with traditional music. Also there are restaurants shops and supermarket . Just loved the place and would recommend the bnb.
- Jim (10/5): Beautiful B&B house in Irish countryside - The Kilcatten Lodge is just gorgeous - impeccably maintained and clean; charming; and comfortable. Our room was large and comfortable; the breakfast was excellent, and the host was very friendly and helpful. We felt lucky to have found it.
- Richard (6/5): Kilcatten Lodge Review - There was a mix-up with online booking, meaning that my wife and I had to be put up elsewhere, although this was not, I believe, the fault of Kilcatten Lodge. My mother found the room basically comfortable, except that there were no coffee-making facilities in it, and the TV took a long time to locate the mains switch that was hidden behind. Breakfast was of a high quality, but we were rather rushed towards the end due to a lack of seating facility for other guests.
- Thomas (10/5): Hill Top Beauty - A fabulous B&B. It was warm, friendly and inviting.
- steve & anne (10/5): Spacious rooms & public areas; great place! - Doreen and Joe are wonderful, friendly hosts eho provide large common areas, lots of outdoor patio space and kitchen access. Great breakfast and large rooms. We loved our stay.
- Gail (10/5): - The ownere were welcoming and helpful.
- rachel (10/5): Wonderful, quaint B&B in south Ireland - This B&B was absolutely perfect. It is family run and the couple that own it are so welcoming and the sweetest. They cooked an amazing breakfast, had beautiful and comfortable rooms, a gorgeous property near farms and a 25 min drive to Kinsale. I would definitely return on my next trip to Ireland!
