Guest Reviews
- corinne (6/5): Très belle vue - Bon emplacement et calme
Bâtiment un peu vétuste / équipement salle de bain vetuste
Grande chambre avec grand balcon
Magnifique vue
- Paul (10/5): Amazing place! - For my money, Blue Corals is the best value on Malapascua Island. The staff are amazing and even gave me a free upgrade to a room with a private balcony with a ocean view. The Mango Pancakes at breakfast Time are to die for, my one and only complaint is it seems the island shuts down around 8pm and their is nothing really to do.
- Kevin (8/5): Nice hotel with easy access to beach - The rooms were pretty nice and beds were comfortable. Staff were friendly and provided takeaway breakfasts for when we had early dives. The bathrooms are ok but could do with an upgrade as the shower pressure seemed very low. Overall we had a pleasant stay.
- Graham (8/5): Good budget friendly accommodation - Enjoyed my stay at the Blue Corals. The accommodation is budget friendly, if a bit tired, with the staff very helpful throughout. Great breakfast included, and they were happy to cook it very early before my days out diving off the island.
- Asmita (10/5): - Amazing location and view. Very spacious and friendly and helpful staff.
Highly recommended.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Hello everyone ~ I booked the Blue Corals Beach Resort twin bed room in Cebu Malapascua via Experdia in January, including air-conditioning, but when I arrived to check in, the store said that we could pre-book an air-conditioned room, but An additional charge is required to start the air-conditioning. For every 500peso, the store only said that it would contact the agency. I had to obey. I would then contact Experdia by email. Booking air-conditioned rooms does not include air-conditioning. Extra charges are required. I am very disappointed and dissatisfied. Please be careful.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - nil.................................................
- Verified traveler (10/5): - great hotel all staff great great location breakfast good
- Einar (8/5): - Good and fresh
- Verified traveler (8/5): - What I like: room has a nice patio overlooking the ocean
- jun (10/5): - nice place and freindly staff
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We spend 18 nights in August / September 2018 at the Blue corals Beach Resort and loved it as much as before. It was our second trip there and became our most preferred hotel so far. The following remarks are not for the main season. The hotel rooms are right above the ocean with roomy balconys and undisturbed views over the ocean - for our family the biggest plus. The staff is extremely nice - starting with Sonja (the hotel manager) and the girls. They are always very nice and try to help with a request from a guest. It is also very quiet and relaxed. Our family loved also breakfast there. The staff made us to feel like home. We really hope to be able to come back there again. Like I said before - our preferred travel spot of all our travels. Thank you girls!!!!
- SATOSHI (8/5): バルコニーから 眺め最高、西側、東側 両方とも眺め素晴らしい、12月でしたがエアコンなしでは きつイ - ロケーション スタッフ対応最高
- Bernir (6/5): - Beautiful hotel. Staff very friendly. The AC did not cool down the room much, it needs a bigger unit. The door to the bathroom would not stay closed, The breakfast was very good. The view was great from our balcony.
- MarkSchnell (2/5): - The bathroom was terrible. Shower next to toilet with no shower curtain. Shower head on a hose that was too short. Toilet didn't flush completely. No bidet. No TV. WIFI only worked in lobby.
And this was their most expensive 'Deluxe' room!
- Verified traveler (6/5): Dejligt hotel tæt på stranded. - Dejligt hotel, ligger på bounty beach. Morgenmad er okey, søde personnel. Værelset er rent og badeværelse er ok.
- Jeffrey (6/5): Nice view, good location - Nice view of the sea. Good location at Bounty Beach. Nearby lots of nice food. The room is spacious but no air con and hot water. Have to request a electrical fan from the hotel. Breakfast is good but lots of flies. Check in a bit slow and also mixed up the booking. Generally good!
- Verified traveler (6/5): -
- Verified traveler (6/5): Was an okay stay - Convenient. The view was nice from our balcony. CR was big.
- Kurt (8/5): A nice place to stay - We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff are all wonderful and work hard to make your stay pleasant. When we were leaving, they helped us book a ride from the port to Cebu. If I ever go back, I will definitely stay at this hotel.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Very nice hotel - Staff are very nice, clean room and very good security
- terry (6/5): Lacks amenities - No tv in room
WiFi worked at most 30 mins
Ants all over
Water would only have pressure randomly
- Explorer (8/5): - the room was clean. they provided us with extra toiletries easily. the owner was very nice and hospitable.
- saul (10/5): Great place to stay - It's very friendly in Malapascua which is just true of this place. Loved my stay. Reception staff was lovely 👍
- Diego (8/5): - Great people and awesome staff. Great oceanview. Clean rooms.
- Evgeny (8/5): - Stayed in the "fan" room for three nights. Everything is OK - clean room, friendly personnel.
No WiFi in the room, but it was available on reception.
- Gabriella (8/5): Friendly and comfortable - Had a great stay at Blue Corals in a fan room. Great view of sunsets from our room. Friendly and helpful staff. A very convenient place to stay on Malapascua for access to beach, dive schools, restaurants etc.
- William (8/5): Nice staff and great location - I Spent 3 nights here. Not only was the room reasonably priced but the staff were friendly and helpful. My room was about a 30 second walk to the beach.
- Jeffrey (8/5): Awesome location in island paradise - Staff were very accomodating. Location was perfect. Rooms are a bit dated but comfortable if you choose aircon and refrigerator options. Wifi was included but rarely worked. Staff will have the bangka outrigger to the mainland stop on the beach outside if requested.
- Verified traveler (2/5): It´s like a dead hotel! Horrible attention! - When you arrive and look at it from outside you will think "wow! it´s definitely the best in the island" but after a while you will say "it´s definitely the worst hotel in the island".
It's just a dead hotel. Staff does not care about you at all. They have one of the best locations on the island but don't take any advantage of it. The bar is dead, the "restaurant" is dead. Staff never remembered us they always asked "are you staying here?" thousand and thousand of times!!! There are hammocks that belong to the hotel and should be for the guest to use but all the locals are hanging out there so forget about chill out there, you won't feel privacy at all!
I DEFINITELY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL. Don´t waste your money and time in this beautiful island staying there, go to Cocobana! That is what we did with out last night, PH 1,100 for the same kind of room and it's proper hotel!
- Jeanne (8/5): Good, comfortable stay - Hotel is at the end of the beach, about a 15 min walk to Evolution divers where I was diving. Room was nice, air con worked. Could be a bit noisy at times as the staff / storage rooms were behind my room. Also one of the windows was just a slat window so did not close properly and let noise in but generally during the night it was quiet and I slept well. The bed was comfy and my room only got the sun for a short time of the day so it didn't get too hot. Shower was hot. Wifi does not work in rooms, and in the restaurant it was not a great connection. Breakfast was small but adequate and they served it until late which was good for between dives. You can also get a motorbike taxi for 20 pesos or walk into the village easily. They don't serve evening meals or lunch at the hotel but there are plenty of places nearby which do. They offer water refills at a reasonable price compared to the rest of the island.
- M. Linda (6/5): - not much to tell as i was sick
- Clive (6/5): Location, location! - Booked the cheaper 'deluxe' room and asked to see an upgrade but the deluxe was better- . Room and shower good size, just no AC.
Nice place to hang out for sunset. Staff were nice but on checking out the receptionist said I hadn't paid, I showed her the Hotels.com receipt on my ph but she wouldn't believe me, then she insisted I pay for breakfast- already paid for - I refused and left with bad feelings which spoilt an OK night
- Mattias (4/5): You get what you pay for... - We staid in a bungalow for almost 2 weeks. Some of the furniture was broken and the bedsheets and towels where stained or even had burnholes in them. If you get a freshtowel and it has stains the size of an apple you don't want to know what it is...
- Disappointed (2/5): Worst experience ever - There was a rat in our room as we entered, the food was sub- par for a resort - the view was the only thing worth mentioning about this place - beds were absolutely terrible for a 3 star resort - lol - more like a -3 star resort
- Naresh (10/5): - Hotel at the beach side was awesome...!!!!!!!!!!!
I thought of giving 10 rating outta 5 but there was no such option :)
- Verified traveler (6/5): If you are fine with cockroaches - Cockroaches wake me up... It was really terrible.
- Dhugal (10/5): Blue Corals Malapascua was great - A little worried when car they booked for us hadn't shown after >40 minutes. Gave hotel a call, and we had a car within 20 minutes. Harrowing drive to Maya Port as driver tried to get us to our waiting boat ASAP. Picked cheaper car option for 2800 pesos but driver wanted 3500, which was price for bigger car. Got the bigger car on trip back and it was WAY more comfortable so if paying higher price anyway - get the bigger car! At Maya port the little trimaran was waiting for us in the dark as promised. Luckily packed flashlights and sandals etc for wading through the knee-deep water 20m to our boat. A 50 minute boat ride under the stars (you get wet so pack everything in plastic bags) and we arrived at the private bay on the cape side of the hotel with the owner waiting on the beach. Said we could check in come morning since we must be tired. Nice big room with air conditioner overlooking the bay. We got the best class of room and don't regret it. Wonderful waking up to that view! Breakfast good. Try the chocolate pancakes with mixed fruit. For snorkeling equipment etc they can arrange rental for you at front desk for small surcharge. Renting directly from dive shops is cheaper but have to return equipment yourself rather than leaving it to the hotel staff. Staff were really nice. Hotel just had new guest wing built, blessed by priest while we were there. Amazing banquet with two whole roast pigs to celebrate.
Really enjoyed our stay and recommend it totally.
- makyy (8/5): about:receptionist - receptionist was soooooo nice!
She was kindness I couldn't speak English very well but she usually took care of us and great smile so we really enjoyed there:)))
- David (10/5): Blue Corals - Very Nice place, Good Staff, Great Loation, Great Price
Good food. Good WIFI in Lobby,
- Jess (10/5): Nice stay - Friendly staff and clean rooms for a reasonable price
- wendy (6/5): Good location - Stayed here as there was a God deal on the room
It was also very close to the dive centre
They make the best banana milk shake ever
Good selection on the breakfast menu but sadly not much in the at of fruit (eggs anyway or pancakes with fruit)
Rooms are a good size and very clean
Water pressure isn't great but that's the Philippines
- Verified traveler (6/5): hotel by the beach - hotel rooms are nice and spacious, newly painted with hot shower and fast wifi. the front desk in-charge are not accommodating and frowning all the time. bring cash as they charge more if you use credit card.
- Verified traveler (6/5): over looking the ocean - beds are confortable with large rooms..not so good hotel service
- Verified traveler (4/5): nothing great except for large room/beds,fast wifi - the hotel is located at a far end of the stretch.. once or twice the neighbourhood was burning something and the smoke was all over the hotel it was killing us. the front desk personnel were not friendly at all. be extra cautious, you have to specify how many guest are staying in the room as they technically charge per person. the room says it is good for 6 people but the price displayed on the net is only good for 2 pax. it is actually misleading. you thought you got a good deal but when you come to the hotel they're strict on the head count and you end up paying more.. you' d rather go to a nicer hotel it will be more logical. they have large beds and very spacious room the wifi connection is actually good. bring toiletries as they have none. breakfast was ok and they have lunch to order from a restaurant nearby,,..i suggest go look for lunch/dinner somewhere else as it is pricey and the taste is bad
- Crystal (10/5): Fantastic getaway - My friend and I stayed at blue corals for three nights. Malapasua is still reconstructing after the november typhoon, so electricity is only turned on during weekends and after 8pm on weeknights. Don't expect to be able to use your phones or computers too much while on the island. Blue Coral itself is great. The service was amazing, and they offered a good breakfast. The staff helped us out with snorkel rentals and suggesting things to do. The cove right behind the hotel where their bungalows used to be is the BEST place on the island for swimming! The only way to get their is through the hotel or by boat, so it's also quiet and private.
- loubas (6/5): Blue Corals hit by typhoon - Nobody ever mentioned that Malapascua island had been so badly hit by november 2013 typhoon. No aircon no electricity for most of fhe day
And no internet at all. (I paid for all these services).half of the houses destroyed.Very sad.
