Catherine (7/5): Overall experience was fine - Appeared recently renovated. Outdoor pool and large patio with grilling area were nice (tho could use more shade). Fitness room was modern and had outdoor views. Standard hot and cold breakfast included. Small area with some beverages and snacks for sale. Some businesses in walking distance including donut shop next door and (chain) restaurants with bar out front. Full size fridge along with cupboards, sink, dishwasher, cooktop and dining table. Comfortable bed. Good AC as outdoors was very hot. Plenty of closet space. Convenient parking. Seemed centrally located in the town. We had reserved their 2 bedroom suite over a month prior which we needed for our family setup, but we received an email 2 days prior to arrival stating they we over booked and we would be reassigned 2 studio suites at a discounted price. There was a big event in town so it was too late by then to find other similar arrangements, and it was disappointing as it resulted in one person staying in a room by themself. Upon calling hotel and contacting booking, it appeared nothing could be done to get us the room we had confirmed. In addition, the neighbors upstairs were quite noisy very late for 2 of the 3 nights which affected our quality of sleep.

The hotel was clean and well-maintained.We booked a studio suit with 2 queen beds and a kitchen and dining area. As a Lifetime Titanium Elite member, we received complimentary high-speed internet and breakfast (which I believe is complimentary for all guests). We had a small issue initially when the receptionists informed, we need to pay 24$ for stay though fully paid in advance with points and nothing due, which she waived later but unable to explain about this charge. The hotel's location is great, being conveniently close to restaurants and gas station Overall, we will surely recommend this Hotel to other travelers.

akh345 (6/5): Room was run down, overpriced - This was not a bad place to stop for the night, but not great, either. The room had worn carpets, the furniture was old and stained, and the bathroom walls had something splattered on them. It hadn't been cleaned very well. The door stopped working partway through our stay and could only open from the inside. The beds were tired, and all in all it appeared due for a refresh. No coffee in the breakfast nook. If it were half the price this might have been expected but for over $200/night, could have been better.

RThyme (8/5): Good Choice for Business Travelers on Extended Assignment - The larger rooms with kitchen facilities, good-size desk, lots and lots of convenient storage space, plenty of convenient electric outlets, quite decent breakfast offerings and pleasant, helpful, well-trained staff are a good choice for business travelers, especially those on "per diem" budgets. Convenient is the word. In addition to the convenient room features, the location is convenient, and the ample, free parking is convenient. There are several OK restaurants within short walking distance. Add the usual amenities - laundry, workout room, pool and nicely furnished patio with BBQs (being refurbished in October 2022) - and our team was comfortable and well-rested throughout our extended stay.

172rg (4/5): I'm not paying parking at a 2 star hotel in Hobbs NM - Nice little surprise. I go to check in and there's an extra document sprung on me that was obviously hammered out on Word or something saying I was going to be charged $7 a night to park my truck at a run of the mill 2 star hotel in Hobbs, NM. This wasn't the Westin Dallas downtown with limited real estate. This was a regular old hotel in Hobbs, NM. Okay you got me. Enjoy my $21. I will never stay at your hotel again or any TownPlace Suites for that matter.
Meghan (10/5): Clean rooms - We had a family emergency and needed to take a quick trip to Hobbs NM from Oklahoma City. The staff was super nice and the rooms very clean. The breakfast was delicious. Loved how comfy the pillow are.
Kathy (10/5): Great hotel - Finding lodging that is safe, clean and quiet with reasonable amenities at a reasonable price can be a challenge for a solo traveler in east New Mexico. This hotel is stylish, clean and comfortable. The fitness facility is bright and spacious. Hot breakfast was wonderful. Front desk staff are helpful and friendly. Kitchen was well stocked. I will definitely be back.

Janet (10/5): Great place! - This was a great stay for us. The suite was clean and well furnished. Bed was good but not as soft as I like my bed to be. Staff were very helpful and accommodating. Breakfast was lovely and attendant was on top of things. Overall a great stay.

However, the room phone did not work-even after my attempting the handle-wiggle fix the PM desk clerk suggested and the toilet would not flush. The AM desk clerk promised she would advise management of these issues. As yet I have heard nothing from anyone else at Marriott management regarding an apology or offer of discount for that particular night we stayed there; so not impressed with them at this moment.

kason2121 (10/5): Thank god for their good service - After our fiasco with La Quinta (in Hobbs same time of Jan. 8th and 9th, 2021), my wife, myself and dogs are so grateful. What a relief! They were so understanding and accommodating after a horrendous experience with the former hotel. The place is clean, friendly and what you would expect from a high-end hotel.

alicecW2681BC (2/5): NOT PET FRIENDLY!!!!!! - TWO BIG PROBLEMS....first I booked the senior rate online but never received a confirmation. I tried to book again, but the senior rate had magically disappeared. I called Marriott customer service for help. I could not understand most of what this person said. Turns out he booked a non-refundable rate for me instead of the senior rate. I called back to complain, but their phone system was not working so she could only log the complaint. She said they would reply but they did not. SECOND...they advertise a pet friendly hotel but they are not! They DO NOT say one word on their website about charging for pets. Their fee is $100. When I brought it to the clerks attention that their website says nothing about the fee, he said he knew that and has brought the issue to the manager’s attention, but nothing has been doing about correcting the problem. That almost doubled the cost of our room at $112. DO NOT STAY THERE!

jrhales77 (10/5): Excellent! - We were very happy with our stay at the TownePlace in Hobbs, NM. Rooms were large and comfortable. Nice pool and hot tub. Breakfast was excellent with an adequate offering of choices. Staff were universally pleasant and efficient. We stayed in Hobbs for our trip to Carlsbad and surrounding area. My experience is that the hotels in Carlsbad are usually a disappointment, so we didn't mind the extra driving time by headquartering in Hobbs. The TownePlace was an excellent choice. Plenty of good restaurants within walking distance.

We were outside at 8 pm just chk things out and thought oh we could grill. Lifted the lid and huge roaches were scurrying. That’s the only bad thing I have to say. Other then that excellent

cjrodkey (10/5): Two weeks of comfort and good service - This suite hotel was a wonderful place for my wife, the dogs and me to stay for a work assignment. The property is well maintained, comfortable and quiet. Pool and hot tub were perfect...and they have a fire pit/BBQ area. Kitchens are well stocked and functional...and the service does the dishes! A special commendation goes to Iachen tigui for his always pleasant demeanor, attention to customer satisfaction and obvious pride he takes in providing anything his guests might wish. Noelia was an efficient, pleasant and meticulous housekeeping member. Stay here, especially if you have dogs and are going to be in Hobbs for a day or a year. You will be pleasantly surprised at a wonderful property with carriage trade service for a regular property price. We'll be back
Mimi (10/5): Great 2 week Stay! - My husband and I spent 2weeks here along with our 2dogs and we were completely comfortable. The staff is wonderfully responsive and accommodating. The suite had everything we needed and we felt at home.

Pool, hot tub, grill, gym, and back deck were great. Staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel was very flexible to individual needs. Would definitely stay again!
kathy (10/5): My new favorite hotel chain. - This hotel is so comfortable. I will stay in Towneplaces wherever I can find them. Dogs are welcome, each suite has a kitchenette, clothes closet was in the bathroom which was roomy enough for two people.
