• AccidentalExplorer (8/5): A relaxing hotel in a bustling city - We enjoyed our stay so, when we returned to Dakar, we stayed again. Room was very clean. Staff really friendly.we used the airport shuttle. There is security at the door. Most of the guests we met were staying for business reasons, rather than tourism. The swimming pool was always quiet.It is on the 8th floor and a great place to watch the kites. It is approx. 25 minute walk to the ferry terminsl for Ile de Goree. It is possible to change money but the rate fluctuated massively. Bottled water daily in room. Safe in room. The restaurant cannot cannot for dietry requirements and was a little lacking in atmosphere. There is not a licenced bar but we were able to go to the supermarket to buy a couple of drinks and then use the fridge in the room.

Airport shuttle was easy amd money (euros & dollars) can be exchanged at reception. The swimming pool on the 8th floor is quiet and alongside swimming, a great place to watch the black kites and listen to the call to prayer. There is a supermarket a 5 minute walk away which is very useful. No alcohol is served in the hotel but we were allowed to bring a couple of cold beers in to enjoy at the pool. The Yango app does not work unless you have a local sim so the staff kindly used their own apps to order taxis when needed.

There were always security personnel stationed outside or around the hotel 24/7, and the added X-ray scan before entering made me feel even more secure. I’ve stayed at a number of hotels in Dakar, but this one really stood out. The staff was incredibly friendly, helpful, and understanding. Their English was clear, so communication was easy and effortless. The pool was lovely, and with the fitness center right next to it, I could work out and then jump straight into the pool to unwind. The room was comfortable, and the air conditioning worked quickly to cool it down, which was a relief after a long day. The hotel is conveniently located downtown Dakar, making it easy to explore the area. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Dakar The internet was very slow and frequently disconnected, making it challenging to work, attend video calls, or even enjoy activities like watching movies or browsing the web. This was a bit frustrating, especially during meetings or when trying to relax.

The staff, without exception were all pleasant, approachable and very helpful. They made me feel at home . Thank you Ramatoulie and Bachir for the kind and professional reception and good customer service I got since the first day, that really set the tone for the rest of my stay. Adama also a front desk staff was great and the drivers who did my airport pick-up and drop off. The food menu is a bit pricy. The bathroom towels are aging and need to be changed and same applies to the bed linen. My critique is to help them improve because I have known this hotel since it was the initial small location more than 20 years ago, when I first stayed there. Otherwise, I enjoyed my stay and will definitely come again and also recommend Ndiambour Hotel to my friend.

The representative at the front desk was very courteous and treated us well. The breakfast was out of this world but I messed up because I did not include it in my reservation. Will not do that the next time. There was one little issue I had with the hotel. It was the elevator. There was only one elevator and it was small and slow. That was the only sore spot. It did not lessen the experience. Ndiambour is my go to place in Dakar.

• MYRIAM (10/5): Bien situé, confortable - Je suis resté 3 nuits au Ndiambour. L'hôtel est très bien situé, très confortable, propre, et les parties communes sont très bien décorées, lumineuses. Le personnel est sympathique, et l'entrée de l'hôtel est sécurisée. Le service de navette pour l'aéroport est pratique. Je ne suis pas allée à la piscine en haut mais elle est très jolie. Je ne suis pas allée à la salle de sport non plus. Je n'ai pas pris de repas sur place car je trouvais cela trop cher.

• Kokahvah (10/5): I had a great stay. The staff as usual was very helpful and accomodating. - It’s convenient location in Plateau. The room was spacious and well equipped. For long stays the menu was not as varied as I would have liked.

• Catherine (6/5): Not pleasant - The pillows provided in the hotel were dirty and smelly -i had to ask one of the housekeepers to take them with him-the deco pillows in yellow. The night before our exit we requested for packed breakfast that we had paid for but this was not provided. I would not recommend the hotel or opt to stay here again. The dirty pillows and poor customer service. The reception area floor mats were dirty and smelly as well
• Nathalie (8/5): Very good. - The location was convenient. The staff at the reception was great! The receptionist Raissa was very welcoming and supportive. The food at the restaurant was also very good. The last day, there was a lot of noise due to some masonry work.

• Alexander (4/5): Poor service and bad food. - I had arranged a taxi to take me from the airport to the hotel. However, it never arrived. The hotel had lost the reservation. I had a 1am arrival so it was very inconvenient - and reception wouldn’t assist when I called them. Throughout my visit the reception staff were the epitome of service with a snarl. The food in the restaurant was extremely poor. First night. I was there I had to eat rice and vegetables for which £22 is excessive. Do not recommend.
