• L1611WZstephaniem (2/5): Would not recommend - There was leftover food from a previous guest in the microwave, which immediately made us question the cleanliness of the room. We requested a new room, but although we originally booked a shared-room experience for our family, we did not receive that same setup after being moved. The situation was frustrating, but the customer service response made it worse. The attendant was barely apologetic and showed little compassion or concern for the inconvenience. We travel to Charlottesville often, but based on this experience, we will not be staying here again.

Mini fridge did not have a freezer component, as an FYI. Usually not something that matters, but would have refrozen water bottles for my cooler. Did not ask staff if there was somewhere I could have frozen a couple small water bottles, but with how great the staff and facilities were I would imagine they would have accommodated my request! Can literally just go through speed-bump local housing road from parking area to Costco for getting fuel and making a Costco run if needed!

• Bernhard (10/5): Volle Punktzahl - absolut empfehlenswert - Wir haben als Familie zu fünf drei Tage in diesem wunderbaren Hotel verbracht und uns äußerst wohl gefühlt. Super Personal, sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtetes, modernes Hotel, super Frühstücksbuffet, moderne kostenlose Waschmaschine und -trockner, alles in sehr entspannter Atmosphäre. Ein weiteres Highlight ist die Lage: Mitten in einem Einkaufszentrum mit verschiedenen Läden, Restaurants, alles fußläufig erreichbar, sogar ein Kino gibt es um die Ecke. Es gibt absolut nichts zu kritisieren.

• Katherine (10/5): Awesome! - The staff was SO friendly. I genuinely felt welcome. Everything was extremely clean. Even the crevices of grout in the bathroom. The HVAC was excellent too. I didn’t feel completely dry the way I do at many hotels. The pool is lovely and it’s great there is an outside area so you can feel some sun on your skin after swimming. Breakfast was so good and continuously restocked. No notes.

Shower curtain was moldy, the faucets on both sink and tub were extremely loose. The WIFI was non existent and there was a note in the elevator that stated the WIFI would be down but we were never notified about this before check in. I wasn't able to access the internet during my stay which I needed for work. There was also a car alarm going off in the parking lot for over 10 hours. It was all through the night and kept all of us awake.

• Angela (6/5): Not Quite Right - Having such a central location was helpful for our trip, generally. The room was big. This property is having renovations done, which is probably why it was priced as it was. The layout was confusing, I was a little concerned about the security given where the door was located, there seemed to be drywall mud splattered all over our room, and the hot water for the shower was terrible - cold water until you were suddenly shocked with blazing hot water. Not what I expected from a Hyatt.

• marnoosh (10/5): Adjoining rooms :) - Booked three rooms - pleased were given adjoining rooms, and another room on same floor. Thank you for meeting that request! Rooms were spacious and suited our purposes, nothing fancy and will need to be renewed in a few years. One adjoining room door stopper did not work; there was a stink bug on the ceiling; one room had a microwave while one didn't. Training room was good, and the indoor pool looked well maintained. Lobby area for breakfast was large.

Traveling with my disabled mother and both ladies went above and beyond to ensure the room accommodated my mother's needs. The hotel is nice and we felt safe. The continental breakfast was a nice bonus too. We'll stay here again everytime we visit the area!

The bed mattress was a bit lumpy, though still manageable. Breakfast was available, but we didn’t get a chance to try it. The swimming pool is on the smaller side, but it would probably be great for children.

• theresacC1100PA (10/5): Great location, friendly staff - The bed was comfortable and I slept very well - - in fact, my Fitbit rates my sleep and I got "Excellent" for both nights I was there. The staff was friendly and the location is great - - stores, including a Trader Joes and a Costco are walking distance. There is also a Regal Theater a few minutes walk away. Also, there is a bus stop right by the hotel - - public buses are free in Charlottesville and the number 7 or 8 will take you to the downtown pedestrian mall.
• bope123 (10/5): Clean well maintained hotel in a great location. - Hotel was very clean. It’s in a great location, there is a ton of shops, restaurants and grocery stores right across the street. We used it as home base for a couple days at Shenandoah National Park. It worked great for that, it was 25 min from one entrance and about 40 from the middle entrance, so you could get to different parts of the park in a timely manner. Pool was nice and everything was great.
• Jan (10/5): Great Charlottesville Visit - A bit smaller than our usual Hyatt room but it was okay. Comfortable bed and great shower. Breakfast was good but done at precisely 9 so our granddaughter missed it be 5 minutes.
• Hitesh (2/5): Disrespectful behavior by staff over booking using the third party platform like booking.com - spacious and comfortable room We are disappointed that hotel didn't take the booking by booking.com seriously and made us feel inferior over breakfast. We booked the room package which includes the breakfast and mentioned that we only need to pay $0.10 per person for the breakfast. Upon reaching the hotel in the afternoon, the front desk informed us that there was no breakfast available with our booking, but after showing the email from Booking.com that outlined the meal plan, he provided us with the booking voucher for five people. The following morning, upon our arrival at the breakfast area, the individual named 'Naresh,' who was responsible for overseeing breakfast and the front desk, informed us that he was unable to provide breakfast, despite our possession of a breakfast voucher. I presented him with the email detailing the breakfast plan and requested that he charge $0.50 for five individuals; however, his demeanor was exceedingly rude, offensive, and lacking in proper manners. I was on vacation with my husband, two small kids (3 year and 4 year old), and my over 65-year-old mother, and I specifically paid for the breakfast package while booking so that we would not have any trouble with the small kids and my mom. This hotel staff specially the guy named Naresh made us feel like we were trying to steal the breakfast from him. We felt so humiliated by him even though we had the breakfast voucher and email from Booking.com, and was asked to leave the area. Hotel staff member conveyed an impression that our reservation, made through a third party like Booking.com was of lesser value (even though we paid the same price like hotel website), and shows disregard for third-party reservations. We really have to think about using Booking.com for our future bookings considering the fact that their booking might be lacking all the important details about the package.

• thomasbP1279PX (10/5): Good spot! - Very nice hotel in an excellent location. The staff was friendly and helpful. We found the room to be clean and well maintained. It would have been nice to have had free coffee in the morning in the lobby, but breakfast was like eight dollars which isn’t too bad. The shower had awesome water pressure which is rare these days. Strangely, the bathroom did not have moisturizing lotion available. These small quibbles aside, I would heartily recommend this hotel.

Room was spacious and quiet. We appreciated some of the little things like real glasses for water and mugs for coffee in the room. Added plus is the shopping center nearby. Walked to a nice coffee shop, and to dinner one night as well. 7 min to UVA and 12 min to Downtown Mall. Will gladly stay here again next time we are in Charlottesville.

The grounds, hotel, and rooms are impeccably clean and welcoming. The staff is always accommodating and helpful. We literally have the best sleeps of our lives here when visiting family and friends!

Every time we come to Charlottesville, we make sure to book the Hyatt Place on Bond Street. The location is perfect—steps away from great shopping and dining, and just a short hop to UVA and JPJ for sports and concerts. The staff are consistently friendly and upbeat. You can tell, just by chatting with the front desk, that they truly enjoy working here and are proud of the property—shoutout to the management for creating such a positive vibe! The rooms are comfortable, beautiful and impeccably clean every time. We can’t wait to book our next stay!
