Madison (7/5): - The pool was incredible. There was no coffee or drinking water on site. Every morning I wanted a cup of coffee and the restaurant really didn’t start serving until 7-7:30. Coffee in the rooms for this price point would be good. And drinking water in the rooms as well.

Reyes Grajales (8/5): Estancia muy agradable - Nos encantó la cabaña; era como estar en una casita propia: muy bonita, cómoda, confortable y silenciosa, incluso mejor de lo que esperábamos. El hotel está ubicado directamente sobre la playa, cerca de otros hoteles, pero lo suficientemente apartado como para disfrutar de mucha tranquilidad. Además, todo está a poca distancia caminando. La atención del personal fue maravillosa. No nos gustó que en el área de la piscina hubiera una pareja de huéspedes con una bocina poniendo su propia música a un volumen alto. Nosotros estábamos buscando tranquilidad, y en ese momento solo ellos estaban escuchando su música, lo que resultaba molesto para los demás. Considero que imponer este tipo de ambiente al resto de los huéspedes no es apropiado, y me sorprendió que el personal del hotel lo permitiera. En otra ocasión, al regresar de cenar, vimos en el lobby a un miembro del personal que, de manera muy amable, estaba encendiendo un porro de marihuana para una clienta. Aunque la situación nos pareció curiosa, también proyectó una imagen poco profesional del hotel. Entiendo que el ambiente en Playa Venao puede ser relajado, pero considero que ciertos límites ayudan a mantener una experiencia más equilibrada para todos los huéspedes.
Luis (9/5): Pricey but with great value and a lot of ammenitites. - Room was great, very big. Indoor and outdoor seating area with even an extra bed. Walking closet and good size bathroom. Bed was very comfy. Walking a bit but if you want privacy, somethings gotta give. A lot of kids, it would be great its stated somewhere, but overall nice. It kinda makes sense since its the only one with a tobogan on site with a great sized pool. At some points if you wanted to relax, there was a lot of noise.
Monika (10/5): Schöne Lage am Surferstrand - Sehr schöne, kleine Häuschen, mit zwei riesigen Doppelbetten ausgestattet. Gepflegte Anlage, direkt am langen Surferstrand. Ruhig, keine Musik, viele Kinder am grossen, sauberen Infinitypool am Wochenende. Eine grosse jüdische Gemeinschaft, vorwiegend junge Familien mit kleineren Kindern, lebt hier in Langzeitmiete seit der Corona Pandemie. Viele Restaurants und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in Fussdistanz. Sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal. Badezimmer war nicht sauber geputzt. Grosse Baustelle beim Eingang der Anlage. Der Eigentümer baut dort drei riesige Häuser. Wir haben keinen Baulärm gehört.

The location is perfect and the pool was pristine. In the main restaurant, Natasha is a shining star. Her smile and personality were awesome. Maria (housekeeper) went out of her way to make us welcome. I was here last year; and the restaurant was very noticeably degraded -- almost shabby with damaged furniture. Osmário (4/5): Não pode ser chamado de resort e talvez também não de hotel. - localização, conforto da cama e staff. Estrutura de serviços. Os restaurantes são terceirizados e abrem e fecham quando querem. Fiquei sem ter onde almoçar por decidirem fechar ao meio dia para preparar um jantar especial. Nao tem secador de cabelo, tem que pedir. E nao tem tomada no banheiro. Em resumo, vc precisa levar sua comida e agua. Falam que nao pode levar pet, mas era o que mais tinha no hotel. Falam que nao pode levar cooler com alimentos e bebidas para a piscina, mas nao tem serviço de bar e restaurante adequado. Tudo isso seria aceitável se o preço da diária nao fosse o de um four seasons.

During our stay, the guests at the pool were almost exclusively between 20 and 30 years old, with small children and dogs running around freely. The adults smoked cigarettes (and ...) at the pool and in the restaurant, and they didn't care if there were small children nearby.

Birgit (6/5): Für einen kurzen Zwischenstop ok - Wir haben im Hotel eine Nacht als Zwischenstop verbracht. Der Bungalow war sehr groß und ruhig gelegen. Die Betten sehr bequem, die Klimaanlage leise und gut. Das Badezimmer groß, insgesamt alles sauber und ordentlich. Die kleinen Details zum Wohlfühlen fehlten leider, keine Gläser, kein Trinkwasser, keine Kaffeemaschine/Tassen, zum Glück gab es einen leeren Kühlschrank sodass wir ein paar gekaufte Wasserflaschen kühlen konnten. Die Anlage liegt direkt am Strand und verfügt über einen schönen großen Pool. Das Restaurant ist ebenfalls direkt am Meer gelegen. Die Qualität der Speisen und das Frühstück hat uns enttäuscht, eher Kantinenniveau. Das Publikum ist jung und in Hinsicht Gastronomie wohl eher anspruchslos. Fazit wir haben sehr gut geschlafen aber für einen längeren Aufenthalt würden wir das Hotel nicht nutzen. Zu erwähnen ist ausserdem, dass in der unmittelbaren Nähe des Hotels zur Zeit größere Baustellen entstehen.

Anja (6/5): The start did not justify the price. - The location is very nice, directly at the beach, you find a large pool with a slide. The room (suite) was large and nice but it would need some maintenance as it seemed that there haven’t been done a lot in the past years. There was no housekeeping and by asking for fresh towels I had to discuss why I need it. The receptionist was always looking at his phone and not really attentive. The beach in front of the resort would need some cleaning as it was full of wood and garbage.

Kathleen (8/5): - Our stay was overall very good, the food, staff and atmosphere were all excellent. The room was kept clean and the beds were comfortable. My only concerns were that when we arrived the power was out across the facility for hours. I was surprised that the property did not have a generator. There are also areas that I think could use some maintenance, specifically the water slide which appeared very rusty and structurally unsound. We also had a visitor one day, who lives locally, who was given a very hard time for being there compared to several other visitors who were not asked to pay to be there.
Joel (10/5): Great place to stay - The best place to stay in Playa Venao. The pool and hot tub overlook the beach and sunset. The room was very comfortable. The staff are friendly. Great for families with kids. The restaurant had generous portions. It’s steps away from surfing. I have been staying there for years and I highly recommend it.

Took the risk given the current situation of Panama of not cancelling my reservation and try to make it to the hotel anyways reason why I got there very early. Would have being a nice gesture to get the room earlier and not having to wait for 4 hours.

Nearby restaurants and bars make up for it though - Very clean and lovely architecture and decore The receptionist was positively disinterested! We came in and were pointed to our room and that was it! We asked if they could advice what we could for activities the next day and the attitude was "...no idea mate"!!! The restaurant was clearly owned by another person/party and only served you if you went and sat inside their, rather small with limited menu, restaurant. They didn't have basics like bacon and or sausages for breakfast either! The sushi bar at the hotel was okay but very thinly staffed. There was noticeably no staff at the pool to serve either food or drinks at anytime during both days. We had to make do with bottled water that we had bought earlier. Clearly disappointing service, rather lack of, for the price.

JOSE (10/5): Great retreat in nature, but also surfers paradise - Was wonderful, loved the location and that is not fully developed, has so many natural areas, green areas, etc. The ocean had big waves so I get why surfers have a great time. Hotel was clean and nice, most importantly safe, and while there was only one restaurant, it was good and had good variety. Service was great - difficult to notice staff but everything was done and clean! As a couple that was amazing!

Lawson (10/5): Next time will stay a week to really enjoy all Venao has to offer - Beach, Pool, Restaurants, Food, Service all excellent No microwave, no exhaust fan in bathroom, would have been nice to have had a little map of area around the facilities, stores, surf shop, etc.

Robert (10/5): - Peaceful. Zen like. Good vibes. My room was superb. Pool wax magnificent. Hot tub quite nice. Did not eat there so unable to give feedback on food. Staff was just super accommodating.
