• Arun (2/5): Very disappointed - Only the location The property is not really a resort; it feels more like a homestay. It requires major renovation and better upkeep overall. The rooms and laundry areas were unclean, and both the garden and restaurant need significant improvement. We even found a snake in the garden, which shows the poor maintenance of the area. The minibar was not switched on, and there was no proper staffing in the reception or restaurant. Although the location is excellent, the management needs to work hard to enhance cleanliness, maintenance, and service standards to deliver a better guest experience.
• Florance (5/5): Pleasant place to stay with great views and wonderful amenities like pool and spa but not good food. - I loved the property and the fact that it was right infront of the beach was a really good deal for us. We loved the pool the walks within the property, the staffs were really helpful and kind and were catering to our needs whenever we asked Something. The staffs and the location and the property itself was an amazing experience to us... Gave a quiet and calm feeling... We loved being there. Food was not good... I am a person who usually doesn't find fault when it comes to food but even to me the food was not good. They have options but again the taste was not having the authentic Kerala taste or even any good taste, we ordered chicken roast but the chicken was very hard and chewy. But the fish that we ordered was good but again not worth for that price. The complimentary breakfast was also not good we also heard it from the others who were eating with us. Next is the room.. We had booked a doctors villa, it comes as a separate villa kind, the rooms had lots of mosquito, the room was clean and the bathrooms were good as well but I felt some sort of werid smell and few insects as well. They can try to make the rooms inferior a little better for that pricing and definitely change the colours of the well it did not give a good feeling, felt dull(just my suggestion). Can keep the rooms more insecta free and work on interiors. The bathroom was too good tho. They can also change the mattresses and the quilt too. The quilt was coming out and was not comfy.

• Antony (1/5): Very Unhappy - location Poor maintenance. Not very clean - especially the lake facing luxury villas. The balcony was not clean and to get the view windows need to be clean. No safety lockers in the rooms. Surveillance cameras not working. Not safe.

Absolutely filthy, A/C not working A/C leaking inside the room, Fridge in both rooms filthy with mould, bed sheets had blood stains etc. Was there only for a couple of hours and vacated the room. They have not returned my £10,000 deposit. Through booking.com I am expecting a full refund. Very very disappointed. Had to desperately find another hotel/Resort to stay. • Haris (8/5): Good memories and value for money. :) - Breakfast was good and filling. It generally felt comfortable. It had a lot of space within. So it was nice to simply walk around. Unclean around certain villas due to the water rising. It was a bad first impression. Mosquitoes. The pool couldn've been open for a little longer at night.

However, not as asdvertised and negative experience means that we would not recomme - The staff were friendly on the whole and the food in the restaurant was tasty. The bed was large and comfortable. The room wasn’t very clean, especially the mini fridge. Lots of damage on the property which hasn’t been reflected in the listing. There were activities listed that we were unable to access. We asked for help with getting a taxi to the airport at 2am and were told that this had been booked. When we arrived at reception at 1.45am there were no staff there and no security guards, the taxi did not come and we made our own way to the airport. It was very disappointing that we had no one to help us at that time even though we were told that reception would always have someone there. The worst part though was that as two tourists, the lack of staff and security at night could have posed a really serious safety concern, and if we had an emergency we could not have sought help from the staff. We wrote to the property with these concerns right away but did not receive any response. Unfortunately, on the whole we would not stay here again due to our experience at Cherai Beach Resorts.

There was no Wi-Fi in the villas, there was very limited (2 packets of tea, milk and sugar) for 2 people staying for 21 hours. There was no direct access to the beach although it was called 'Beach resort'. We've lived in better properties before so we had greater expectations

• K.kumar (10/5): A house to stay far away from your home 🏡 - Good Ambience, well maintained rooms with good AC, and fans, The Mattress need to be changed someone had earlier puked or dropped something on it it was stinking on one side. Secondly the small fridge or cooler has to be kept on. What if someone is carrying an insulin to be kept cool. The bathroom ceiling was leaking and the drops were falling on the head of the person sitting on the Commode.

Liked the way they pampered you. The Wheelchair was of very poor quality and it was very difficult to sit and get up from it due to my immobility problems i had to use the Wheelchair.

Still had fun and children loved pool time. Pool also need more cleaning and maintenance. Non maintenance and limited facilities.

We stayed in Doctors villa. Some parts were damaged bcoz of backwater. But they can't do anything about it. Menu was almost daily same in the restaurant buffet. Pool was bit deep considering other places. Suitable only for person above 5'5" minimum.

We are staying near a beach and towel is the most basic thing a hotel should provide despite the quantity but the rude staff simply said i can provide just one and if you need more book for another day... I've never been to such a resort in my life... Simply worst. The food they provide for the price is mediocre as they proudly call it unlimited with just 2 to 3 options... We mainly booked this resort seeing the photos in Google reviews... The resort looks dated and dingy and not at all photo worthy as the photos uploaded in their Google reviews and that too being a guest at the resort they demanded us to pay 2000 per day to take a photoshoot... felt unworthy and took photos elsewhere outside in the beach instead... Don't even consider this if you are planning to stay there due to their fancy looking Google photos you ll surely be disappointed like us 😔😔

Food was very bad we ordered food from outside. They don't have anything as per the menu.But staffs were friendly especially service staffs.

• Sailesh (6/5): We could relax at the resort. Food could have definitely been much better when so much is paid. - Location is good. The family villa was spacious with two rooms and could easily accommodate 4 persons. Food is average. Maintenance of common areas is very poor.
• Biju (1/5): stay away from this place - the property located in nice location, however ever unhygienic, unfriendly staff and bad food. please don’t use this place, very unhygienic, we were ask to leave the plate we eat dinner outside of the cottage, when I wake up in the morning I saw same plates sitting outside and crows and animals was eating leftover food from the plate , restaurants is full with flies and insects, it is a nasty place, lots of re organization requires.

We reached there 20mnts late, but lunch was fully over. Compare to my recent visit, on last month, this one didn't meet my expectations. Last time, when I visited here with family, the experience was much better!

Also the Spa area was great Our plan was to stuck to the resort and doing day trips for sightseeing. However, due to bad street quality, you need 1 hr for 25km wherefore many travel destinations were not reachable. Some parts of the resort are pretty much destroyed & dirty
