Guest Reviews
- J442DPtonyn (10/5): Amazing owner!!!!!! A little hatd like this a church but he is very nice - Today I came to Check into the Oyo Decatur and I came there because the Oyo forest park was another story!!! I didn’t have to pay any fee from hotels.com and they were just doing a hotel swap for me. Well this hotel had a deposit that I didn’t know about. The owner was very form when I arrived and had two people in front of me that he told the rules too. Initially I said rules...... do you see where we are at..... yet, I see why because my first gehtto hotel experience wasn’t too bad after all. I told him my story and told him I would pay it if I needed to but let Him know my situation and circumstances that surrounded it. The owner was so nice he said you know what I’ll pay for you! Omg amazing! He may have had the power to do it anyway but the fact that he didn’t take me being a g black man in the hood doing wrong l, is what made me stay up to write this review. At this point I didn’t care how the room looked I was staying and staying because he was a human l. Now he laid the same rules to me but was also willing to accommodate those for me. Now there is a little bad but his attitude smoothed it over that I’m still here laying with the roaches and no tv. Minor things that I know they will correct. Why because I figured out to permitting set fix the remote and I’ll be getting up in a few to make him nice color copies for each room. Sooooo what happen was he gave the instructions of how to use it but I couldn’t remember all that and it was nearly 12 hours prior. The first time he came down to my room and fixed it and the second time I just went to get the remote. Then I messed up again and went to bed for a few. But it’s a quick fix. Now the roaches is attributed to the area and slight crakes In door which I put a towel over. I must say this owner cares about his property and I pray for much continued success to him
- ChefTreka (10/5): What a wonderful 2 week stay👏👏 - It was an pleasant stay great security front desk is friendly and maintenance is always on call thanks for an great experience i was able to sleep in peace with no disruptions that felt good very pleased.
- Ladytish123 (8/5): Reviews - I have been at the affordable inn for about a month.Staff very friendly and accommodating there is security on the premises very safe I love when my kids can go outside and play without any altercation very convenient to expressway.I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
- sareetas (2/5): Horrible Rude Staff - All this place wants is your money which by the way is over priced, felt like a apartment complex then a hotel....lots of traffic loud guest late at night. Ppl knocking on your door late at night!!! The STAFF WAS VERY RUDE NASTY ATTITUDES ITS A SHAME!!!! It’s not my fault you work there so don’t take it out on me or my Family.....I understand that ppl are not always in a good mode but while working your suppose to be positive and professional!!! Hopefully we won’t ever have to stay here again! No towels, we had to wash the sheets n blankets ourselves because they refused to give us more....smh I’m glad it’s over!!! If you stay there please check the bed stuff first make sure it’s been washed! We didn’t even have a trash can....kept asking but no one ever brought us one. The cable tv was wack!!! Gotta pay for the internet....which they kept trying to cut it off like we wasn’t going to know smh talking bout we used up 368 hours in 2 day’s lmbo now that was funny!!! Nice try!!! They should call this place a apartment complex. Hope y’all read these reviews and do better for the next Guest!!!!!! Check your Attitudes your at work!!! Ppl are supposed to get great customer service not nasty attitudes and mad faces like you dnt wanna be bothered lol but your at WORK!!!!! Roches and nets flying around....sick was stopped up...we even had to buy a mop on bleach just to mop and clean the floor and toilet...had to buy tissue which was ok cause it’s a lot of us but dnt hang up on us when we was just asking for a roll of tissue!!! I could go on in on about this place but I’m over it!
- Verified traveler (2/5): - I drove 10 hrs just to realize they gave me and my family rooms away. I'm not happy at all
- mike (8/5): Staff lazy - Terrible and not worth the money even with the discount
- Christian (2/5): - Come on, I know y’all can do better
- Christopher (6/5): Whyyyyyyyy? - It was double booked, in an under developed location. Period.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Don't stay there - Bad hotel.
- Kayla (2/5): Worst Hotel I’ve Ever Seen - I wouldn’t suggest this place to my worst enemy. The rooms are dirty, our sheets clearly had old blood stains all over them, the tv had like 10 channels and no remote, the water in the shower randomly changed temperature, the heat/ac barely worked, the fire alarm went off at 2am both nights and lasted for 3 hours the first night and over an hour the second , people fight, yell and knock on doors ALL NIGHT LONG! And then my husband was solicited by a prostitute in the parking lot...
Expedia should not book any oF their clients here!
- Bappa (2/5): Horrible condition - It was horrible condition. The room was dirty , no A/C, broken toilet, dirty, no telephone, no mini fridge or micro oven, bad smell, TV did not work, no towels, a lot to mention...
- Orlona (2/5): You get what you pay for - The main purpose of the hotel was to shower before going out and the shower didn't even work.
- Vickie (4/5): - No towels in rm had to get them frm frt desk then when I got bk frm store realized no tv remote, went to take a shower water would not come on knob just would spin around n around. Rm was lrg but no table n chairs to eat at or do my paperwork at. Although, Lady at desk was very nice
- Lori (2/5): - No available rooms at check in. Area was scary and dirty .
- Reynaldo (2/5): Affordable Hotel - It was horrible, when I arrived to check my room; the bath tub was dirty. When I first open the door to my room; I was welcomed by the smell of cigarettes. The bed sheets smelled like dirty laundry, it was just a horrible experience. I would not recommend to anybody.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Needs new Evening staff - I thought the staff in the evening was very rude she didn't want to give me a towel after I checked in and realized there wasn't any in my room.
- shay (2/5): Hotel - Too many people standing around drugs were being sold in front of kids. Staff were very unprofessional and rude staff also didn't want to clean everything was half done it was very poor. Guns were being fired throughout the night I wouldn't recommend anyone to this hotel it's not safe or clean
- Verified traveler (2/5): Horrible - It was horrible. Both the toliet and shower didn't work. Didnt feel safe to leave my room.
- Ben (6/5): Not bad for the price. - Well... if you're looking for a hooker this might be the place for you. The actual accommodations were fine. I mean for $31 the beds were fine, no bugs, etc.
- Verified traveler (2/5): It was totally unsafe be there. - It was totally unsafe be there. I will never stay there any more.
- N (2/5): Don't stay - It's so noisy and people r so rude. Bad area I couldn't sleep people yelling outside the door!
- Verified traveler (2/5): Not Necessary to offer anyone - Don't send anyone, not Good business!!! ROOMS WHERE TERRIBLE, PEOPLE HANGING OUT, didnt look SAFE!!!
- Justine (2/5): The worst stay ever!!! - We had to wait for over an hour to check in because the maid was cleaning the room. The police were called to calm down an irate customer!!! We finally get checked in and the beds had one sheet. One pillow. The linen was dirty, stained and covered with debris (snacks, lint, etc.) There was trash all over the floor. We were forced to put the dirty comforters and clean towels on the floor to keep from walking on the floor. Roaches!!! The sink was pitch black with dirt! The mirrors were filthy!!! I had to use my own cleaning products to clean the room. That was not enough!!!
They had a full house so we were stuck in a room that should have been placed out of order because the A/C & heater did not work and the water did not get hot.
The amount that I paid for 4 days was the actual amount the hotel charged for 7 days. So I paid more than what the hotel actually charges.
- nat0ri0usb (6/5): My trip - It was quiet and clean but no microwave or fridge! And no towels! Sheets! Pillows! Or toilet tissue! I just think the rooms was not ready for guests if they had the rooms ready then it would have been fine
- john mike (2/5): Deathtrap - This is the trap. Don't go unless you trap. I wouldn't even really go then . This is not a spot for out of towners. Room didn't have any essentials and was dirty.
- Jim (2/5): Forget about it! - Didn't even go inside, and made reservation at another hotel. Gang bang, drug, and hooker central.
- Melissa (2/5): comforter had cigarets burns, stains on sheet - no coffee pot, no bath towels, had only 2 wash towels and that is it!!!! , very dirty bathroom, found dead cockroach next to the TV, smelled like dope. Disappointed.
- Anonymous (2/5): Spend a few extra dollars and go elsewhere - First of all, none of the rooms are non-smoking. I called Orbitz to ensure a non-smoking room, they said it would be non-smoking, but it was not. I got the 'least smoked room' which still had a smell. The cleaning staff took about 20 minutes to clean it out as I waited to enter (they should have had this done by 3pm, when check-in time is). You have to look at your room first and tell them if anything is damaged or missing or you will be charged (my room did not have a remote control, waste basket, alarm clock or hangers). They tell you the prices of items at check-in... including toilet paper. Wi-fi is not free - it is $3 per day. It is a rougher area of Decatur and they tell you that you must register your vehicle or it will be towed (and no backing your car into the spot). If you needed a bed for a night and did not care about amenities at all, fine, it has likely the lowest price. But do yourself a favor - spend a few more dollars to get a real hotel room.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Worst Hotel Experience Ever - This is the worst hotel experience I've ever had, and I've had some doozies since I often travel on a small budget. I understand that the experience is "affordable", but I didn't think that had to necessary equate to it being abysmal as well. The girl that checked me in was rude and unengaged. The security guard, for some obnoxious reason, found it necessary to stand in the middle of the doorway of the front office with earbuds in and then look annoyed whenever she had to move to let someone in or out. There was no spread on the bed (only a thin sheet), only one pillow, no towels or washcloths. The floor was grimy, the room reeked of cigarette smoke, and they had the nerve to charge $3 for wi-fi access. I cannot think of a single, solitary reason I'd ever opt to stay at this place again. The only saving grace of this experience was the woman that checked me out who was quite pleasant. Pay a few extra bucks and stay somewhere that doesn't need to tout their only feature, the low rate, in the title.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Not worthy - Got overcharged for a stay that consisted of a wk and between the staff and conditions, it was low rent.
- Verified traveler (2/5): it was horrible - horrible
- Freda (2/5): Worst and scariest motel in my life - I thought all those drug addicts who live there were going to hurt me
- Verified traveler (2/5): horrible cruddy hotel - It was just awful. They charged for wifi; the rooms smelled horrible; there were potholes everywhere; barley any lighting in the rooms; horrible service; and they area around made me sleep with one eye open because I thought I was going to get mugged or robbed.
- 407travisy (2/5): Rude and don't care about you just wants your money! - Please don't go there! After putting me out with all my things i went to go talk to manger and get back someone stole my things and when I went back to tell them they said they didn't care i still have to leave! Sink stopped up roaches and nets everywhere! Man it hurts that they did even care!
- jmwats45 (6/5): A Getaway!! - This place is very quiet, and friendly!!! they are in the process of remodeling all the rooms!!! the hotel rooms are nice and clean, and cozy!!! there are not very many place near by to shop for food, but its on the bus line!!!
- thickness30 (10/5): Cleaning up the place - I've been staying at the affordable for two years and I must say I have seen people come and go. The best thing about it is the new GM is cleaning up the property. Even the housekeepers or getting better. There is not a lot of foot traffic and people standing out in the breezeways.
- Tyronw (2/5): Won't go back.. - Apparently they expected me to leave because they had me inspect the room first before locking in my decision. The room was the nastiest ever seen. The towels were dirty and yellow the bedding was nasty and stain the back with broken TV only got 12 channels that the most roaches in every corner of the building and the room carpet was ripped up holes everywhere toilet toilet was cracked . The latch on the door was loose air-conditioning and heating did not work properly. Overall feeling of safety very very uncomfortable. Went to front office to ask questions to the staff members were So stuck on their cell phones that they didn't even notice I was in the office. The whole building in my opinion should've been shut down for health reasons. That was the biggest mistake I've ever made getting a room at that location. I destroyed my luggage bag after I left and sanitized all my clothes and myself .
- tkt3577 (2/5): Bed Bugs - This place is horrible ive seen homeless shelters better than this didn't even fall asleep and got bed bug bites I don't even know how a business is allowed yo charge at all for those conditions. You get a king size bed with one pillow that look like a bull dozer flattened it
- No Stars (2/5): Affordable Hotel - This was a terrible experience! The door looked like it had been kicked in before. It had a smell when u walked up the stairs. I took the table that was In the room and flipped it over and put the chair on top of it to hold the door. This hotel should be shut down!
No hot water
No heat
No bathroom door
- Ciara (2/5): Should not be a hotel at all... - The stay was horrible. The rooms are trashed. They're currently under construction. We had no hot water for majority of the stay. Sheets weren't clean. Found a few bed bugs. Our towels weren't given until 5hrs after our second request. Please don't waste your money here.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - It was horibal no towels no free wifi. Ther was no frige or microwave in room like it said. Had to pay for wifi. It was dirty and traffic in front of my room like all night long . Prostitution calling ur room asking if u want company . Just was not satisfied at all
- Not Provided (2/5): - It was horrible. it was a high drug area with a lot of crack activity. hotel service was horrible no tissue no towels. there's no refrigerators in the room no microwave our TV was stolen.... I will never go back there ever again and I would recommend that no one else Would go there either
- Verified traveler (6/5): You get what you pay for. - I did get there late, however, I was told to go inspect 2 rooms and pick the one that looked the best. I did. No remote for the TV ( they had given all of them out), so the front desk person on duty did extend my check out time to 12:30. No towels in the room, period. Fast forward to the next day. Housekeeping kept knocking on the door trying to rush us out of there, even though we had an agreement, on file, to leave at 12:30 and this particular lady was rude about it. All in all, the stay was terrible.
- Not Provided (6/5): - The place is old. But the young man who checked us in was super nice. My stay was restful and that's all that matters
- nakeyawelch1975 (2/5): Worst experience EVER!!!!! - I booked a room online at Affordable Motel on 10-15-2015 being that the rate was very affordable. Once I arrived to the location and checked in I was issued a room key for #118. As I proceeded to my room I started to smell a faint scent of spoiled garbage that turned my stomach upside down. Once I reached my room, opened the door, and went inside. The room smelled like mildew, the carpet was blackly stained, wires hanging from the ceiling out of the smoke detector/cable outlets, Blanket was too small for the raggedy king size bed, walls were stained, drapery was old and torn, furniture (night stand/dresser) looked as though it should be in the dumpster, the bathtub was black around the sides and the bottom, and the toilet looked like the ones that are in a jail facility. Not to mention there was NO TV in the room at all. I immediately left the room and went to the front office and the attendant Keith gave my a different key card for room #151 which was even worst then the first room. By this time I was FURIOUS, so I went to the front office AGAIN to just ask for a refund to be told by Keith "Ma'am we don't give refunds" I then had to call Customer Service at Expedia whom put me on hold and called the Bates Motel to assist me in my transitioning process to return to the Savannah Suites on Pine Street that I had previously left. After Keith had a debating conversation with Expedia CS Rep and felt extremely offended by the fact that I had told the Rep that the Motel was DISGUSTING he ended the call, checked me out, handed me a receipt, and I gladly left the premises. This motel doesn't even deserve a partial star rating let alone a full star. It needs to be torn down immediately. Only a filthy person would stay in that place or a homeless person that had no other means of shelter. I will gladly report this motel to the State of Georgia Health Inspector, Better Business Bureau, or any other agency that has the authority to shut them DOWN.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - I never thought a hotel could be like this where we can hear a loud voice from outside while we are inside the room. Rooms were not as clean as it should be. Bathroom is terrible.
- Breanna (2/5): Apartment or hotel? - I believe the other people staying at this "hotel" lived there like an apartment.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Horrible
- Verified traveler (2/5): It was so gross that we couldn't stay there - I arrived with my friends and the place was dirty. When we went to the room everything looked dirty . There were also strange people walking around the room.
My friends and decided to look for other hotel
- Michele (2/5): Holy crap, I didn't die!? - It's a shame I can't give zero stars as an option. In fact, I feel like this hotel deserves negative stars, it actually owes me stars.
The location is QUESTIONABLE especially for a girl traveling alone. I had the raging urge to hire someone off of Craigslist to come stay with me for the night because THAT sounded safer than this place looks. There are a lot of people just wandering around the property slowly and it always looks like they're walking towards you (but again, they're slow so you can usually make it to where you need to go in time).
Let's talk about the room: my first impression was "wow this is a big room," but I soon realized that it just seems large because everything in the room is tiny and/or missing. The small TV doesn't work. The only channel you get is Spike. My TV was personally very loud. I couldn't turn the volume down either because the volume buttons were smashed in and there was no remote control. There's no chair, no table, no towels in the bathroom. There is a bed BUT NO BLANKET. When I was finally going to go to sleep, I pulled down the "blanket" to find just a mattress under it! It just had a sheet tucked into a mattress. I slept on top of it and froze all night, hugging a pillow that I could only hope and pray to the hotel gods that it had been washed at least once in it's crunchy pillow life.
In the morning I had a knock on my door with someone outside moaning loudly, "IS THIS THE FRONT DESK?" I said nothing. I didn't want to draw attentio
- Verified traveler (2/5): Worst hotel ever - Terrible hotel. Didn't even go to check in to our room before we left and found a different hotel. DON'T BOOK. Extremely unsafe. Hotel has their own security guard walking around
- Disgruntled (2/5): It's the HOOD!! I AM SERIOUS - This is by far the worst place I have ever been to. I arrive there late in the night and left early the morning. There were countless junkie running around and cursing making a lot of noise non stop. While in our room shots went off and you could hear people running. Please, everyone avoid this hell hole, sleep in your car or on the streets if this place is the only place you think you can afford. This place don't even deserve a rating. The entire place was nasty, my skin crawl just thinking about it. Expedia, please take them off your site they will drag your reputation to zero.
- 791stevenn (2/5): Horror Movie Set - Affordable Hotel in Decatur, GA is the worst place I have ever seen and should be condemned. I suggest you stop offering this hotel to your customers. It looked like it came out of a horror movie, wall started an inch up from the carpet, german cockroaches running around the room, cobwebs hanging off the ceiling, the dresser drawers were kicked in with the wood just piled there, small blood spots on the sheets I abruptly left and went across the street to the econolodge.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Beware.be warned.this place is not ok - If I could have gotten a refund I would have . This neighborhood and hotel grounds are not safe! I couldn't even get out of the car much less park and leave my car unattended. There are many people lurking around corners and on premises staring to see who's there. Some were even fixing their cars outside. I can stay anywhere but this place did not have the safety I needed so I ended staying 30 miles south where I knew I would be ok at only $9 more a night. This place is the projects if I have ever seen any...and I'm from Miami...words can't describe the feeling of driving into this place. Maybe if I wasn't by myself I wouldn't of minded so much. I would avoid this hotel at all costs and go with the reviews or recommendations of another hotel.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Absolutely terrible - I will never go within a mile of this hotel ever again.
- Sunny (2/5): Poor service, lacked basic amenities - This is easily the worst hotel stay I have ever experienced. When I arrived, they informed me that they did not have my reservation, despite the fact that it was confirmed via travelocity. So fine, I payed for a room for the night. Then, the first room that they gave me a key to had not been cleaned, had empty beer bottles and food containers lying about, and used condoms on the table. I eventually got a clean room after going back to the front desk. The next morning I noticed there was no soap in the bathroom, so I went down to the front desk to ask for some. They tell me that they don't have soap, only shampoo-conditioner. What kind of hotel does not have soap??? That was the last straw for me. I got dressed and promptly checked out of the room. I want to clarify, none of the staff was particularly unkind to me, but this hotel does not have basic amenities and is very unorganized. I would NOT recommend it to anyone.
- Joseph (4/5): You get what you pay for! - The price is great for low income indiviuals. But you get what you pay for. A run down room with an out of date T.V., no bath soap, one towel, no wash cloth, and just one sheet on the bed.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Trap Hotel! -Trashy!!! - Horrible... Room unsatisfactory, no soap, dingy towels. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!
The hotel also claimed that they could not see in their system that the room was paid for already through Hotels.com and charged my card again! However, when I received my receipt it said plainly 'Prepaid'... The desk clerk wrote in ink pen the second charge!
- Verified traveler (2/5): I was legitimately scared when I got there. - It's in a terrible part of town. it is extremely run down with very unclean towels, linens, and sheets. I wouldn't dtay here if you paid me
- victoria (2/5): - No air conditioner and no soap or shampoo the shower didn't work and i never go back again. Especially when I'm pregnant and the lady was rude. no gold customer service and no towels either and you have to walk to a gas station to heat up your things. and no refrigerator like never go there it's stupid and waste of money
- shaunda1110 (2/5): beyond trashy, don't do it! - Nasty room, no soap, trash can, towels or AC and toilet paper will run you 50 cents as it is not free. This is a nasty sad place where the poor stay because they don't have a choice, they live here and its pittiful. This place needs to be torn down. Beds uncomfortable and cigarette burns in the blanket, curtains, and carpet. I'm warning you seriously don't do it. I was tired after driving 13 hours it was 2am and I was desperate but after i payed i slept in my rental car at the grocery store and didn't even care that they don't give refunds.
- Sammie (2/5): Cancelled reservation, habitable room unavailable. - There was no room that could be provided. All available rooms were in a despicable and bad state of maintenance.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - It is a very dangerous place! Full of strange people messing up with you.
- Verified traveler (4/5): For the broke & brave of heart only - Smells like a pack-a-day smoker died in there and is decomposing under the bed, & I'm pretty sure the carpet & curtains were growing mold. That said, it has A/C & 2 locks on the door for peace of mind, and if you're spending $30 on a room then you're not really in it for the amenities.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Terrible - Terrible. People actually lived in this hotel. Very unsafe looking people outside. We left right away and did not stay. This hotel should not be listed on your site at all. Very disappointed!!!!
- Kimberly (2/5): Don't go - Checked in and checked out an hour later. I wish I could hav gotten my money back. Terrible location, awful room, awful service.
- Verified traveler (2/5): HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE - This is the worst place I have ever seen. I quickly realized I was NOT going to stay in such a disgusting place and checked into a different hotel losing money in the process. A HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT! :-(
- Verified traveler (2/5): did not stay - this was a low income apartment style living situation for residents. if someone stayed they would be outsiders. the rooms did not have lighting except for restroom, and the toilet tissue was 50Cents a roll. would not recommend to anyone. you also charged $40 dollars per night when the sign above the area shows $25 that may be another reason for low income residents to stay. hard to tell if this was an apartment complex or hotel.
- shaun (2/5): Sleep in your car instead....... - First off, my sister and i drove straight to this h e double hockey sticks hole from Indianapolis and it was 1am when we arrived and had no other options. I tried not to judge it from the outside and i was tired so i was just ready to lay down but it looked like nasty ran down apartments, there were leaks everywhere, the parking lot was all pot holes and the grass was all walked out to the dirt. I have no clue who or when the photo on the page was taken but it's not what we showed up to. ...... When i walked in the office the young lady was on her cell phone and after i stood there about 2 minutes she stopped talking to ask if i needed something and i told her i was checking in, all in the midst of her cell phone conversation she told me to take the room key to see if i "really" wanted to stay the night there. I was scared and of course as i suspected the room was disgusting and the ac only worked as a fan but we stayed any ways. We slept in our clothes and couldn't wait to leave. There were no towels or toilet paper or a trash can, the walls were filthy, there was no remote not that we would use it and the sun peeked through all of the cigarette burns in the curtain, the carpet was coming up and the sink didn't work. We were so happy to leave. It was so depressing with all the strange people lurking around and when i went in the office to check out i noticed that there was a sign that said toilet paper was 50 cent. No wander we didn't have any...
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The Hotel did not have an available room for us to cover our reservations of our expected stay.
- sydnii (2/5): ghetto mess - Was there one night..didnt even get into the Bed until I just wad too tired to be picky..but the worst part if all is the noise! People live permanently at this hotel and have become a community..but the loud ghetto screaming k n forth is unbareable for guest
- Brandy (2/5): DO NOT STAY HERE! - Worst hotel or shall I say MOTEL ever! I've stayed at some pretty ran down places in my life however this was definitely the WORST!
- Mary (2/5): - Bad part of town. Scary place. Great for a prositute.
- Kathryn (8/5): Move to Decatur - Quite, good rates, employees were friendly...rooms could use a good carpet cleaning ,new paint and upgrades but for an old hotel it wasn't so bad and I enjoyed my 2 week stay,
- Verified traveler (4/5): mediocre - Just use for brief rest. Hotel looks to be under major renovations.
- scared (2/5): Checked out immediately - Not a safe place... Beware traveler! This is off the highway and is not a road side motel, but a residence for people down on their luck.

- Andrea (2/5): NO HOT WATER!!! Condem this place! - Tried to check in and was told they didn't have rags/ towels or HOT WATER. Was sent to their sister location "A2B hotel" and it looked like it needed to be condemed! They told us they couldn't find our reservations, after waiting 2 hours we were sent back to affordable hotel, where we just checked in after frustration. The beds were box springs out backs were hurting the next morning, we couldn't take a shower because there were no rags or hot water... Bugs in the room not a good location. Smh I could go on and on this place should be illegal. I can't believe they even advertise it. I recommend they visit the places before they place them on the site.
- Kareem (2/5): Horrible - Had no running water bed was broke nasty not worth 40 $
- Still will (2/5): Where not to stay in Decatur, Ga - I'm sorry , if I could have gotten a refund , I would have , the room had a stale cigarette smell to it , there was burn marks in the comforter, the sheets didn't look clean , I'm sure they were , but not by appearance. This was not a good experience
- Verified traveler (2/5): Affordable Hotel But Not Decent. - Not the best.
- Elle (2/5): HORRIBLE.....BED BUGS!! WORST HOTEL EVER!! - DIRTY facility. TRASHY rooms. FILTHY and torn bed sheets BED BUGS found..attached by BED BUGS...FOUND BED BUGS!!! Complained to hotel staff...made us leave and had to search for another hotel with limited funds (as we just paid out for this DISGUSTING PLACE and had to wait 3 to 5 days for refund). Had to super clean car out and throw out our clothes and super laundry mat the rest. Overall, WORST HOTEL EVER...BED BUGS FOUND!!! Poor customer service, BAD AREA..it looks like a few of the door have been busted in. NEVER AGAIN......LOOK BEFORE YOU BOOK...
- Verified traveler (2/5): Trashy hotel with a smell. Pics travelocity provid - Trashy hotel with a smell. Pics travelocity provides are not how the hotel looks.
- Cathlean (2/5): DON'T EVER STAY HERE - My experience was absolutely horrible....My room had a foul odor that wouldn't go away....the plumbing didn't work.....there were roaches....and fruit flies in the room......some of my belongings came up missing and the hotel refused to reimburse me for it....not to mention the linen was dirty and the sink was molded....and the paint was peeling off the walls....the halls smelled like urine....
- Verified traveler (2/5): Such a fking horrible hotel! - too horrible! I have never saw any hotel like this! I will never go there again!
- Verified traveler (8/5): Baby it's cold outside..: - over all pleasant. Stayed here on one of the city's coldest nights. Hated the shape of the pillows tho.
- Isabella (2/5): HORRIBLE - This hotel was horrible! I wouldn't let my dog stay there! Awful awful awful! They need to update their pictures! It's False advertisement! Definitely not what it looks like now. I was very dissatisfied!
- dapanther (6/5): Still here...so the jury is out. - Locked out of my room xmas day for hours because maintenance tLk the holiday although a full service hotel should have someone on site at ALL times..the neighborhood is skid row sleazy and dont believe the hype:there is nowhere to eat in walking distance except a mrs.winners but plenty of package stores.Housekeeping has never come to my room and ive been here 2 weeks bt I prefer to handle that myself anyway. The good news?everything works in my room, the showers are hot,the bed is clean, cable includes hbo and hbo 2,phone doesnt work but dont need it anyway..saw some of the other rooms and definitely feel like I lucked out.Ive read reviews for other extended stays in atlanta and at this price you might not do as well..special shout out to the blonde at the front desk who helped me thru some early drama when I first got here.a mixed bag but I can take it so im staying...for now.
- melissa20141 (2/5): Bed bug crazy.... - I had bed bugs in three different rooms and they told me I wouldnt be able to except any more payments from me like I baught them there priorities at that hotel are horrible they dont handle the problem them just switch room reclean them and keep it movin smh.
- 957devanteb (8/5): Not the best, but it is a place worth staying. - I enjoy my stay at this hotel because of the treatment I get from the individuals at the front desk. Ebony and Michelle are extremely nice and down to earth. Easy to talk to, and very respectful. Ms. Lisa is one of the best hotel managers I have EVER encountered (and I have experience working in the hotel field), very nice and understanding (just don't get on her bad side cause it will be all hell to pay, lol). The house-keeping staff are nice, friendly and always knock to see if i need anything. Besides the late night activity that goes on, I have NO problems with choosing affordable hotel in Decatur as one of my places to go and get away. And its official Loud over there.
- ChristinaHammonds (10/5): Home away from Home - Couldn't beaten with a stick, good prices nice staff and they have one and two room stay in full kitchen and half all to your likeing, right off the freeway washer and dryer connect and the price for that is 2.50 get I both what can you say it really is a home away from home
- TayRedd (10/5): Home away from home! - The staff here are respectful and they made for I was and felt comfortable and genuinely cared about my stay. The room could be better but hey this isn't a Marriott. There rooms are low price and affordable so if your someone who loves to save money (I can't imagine who wouldn't)this is definitely the place to do that.
- ricof644 (8/5): Getting It together - The Affordable Inn is improving everyday. The Manager Lisa is doing her very best to clean up the hotel. She has hired a new staff of housekeeping and a grounds keeper. The staff that works behind the window are very nice and help you as much as possible. Lisa has came and saved the Affordable Inn at 1900 Glenfair Road Decatur, GA 30035. Hats off too you Mrs. Lisa
- BeautifulChina (10/5): Nice - Nice location staff are very organized with the renters umm management very on point about the things that are happening on the property ... The motel is close to 285 flea market and Marta is five minutes up the street and close location to all stores ...
- thickness30 (8/5): Getting better - The affordable inn is trying to clean up some of the problems going on around the grounds. They have hired new housekeepers that take their time and cleaning rooms. I'm still using my own things but I feel better with the services provided here. Thanks for taking time to read my review. There will be more to come.
