Couldn't ask for more and would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a weekend or time away to recharge and relax. Leaving and wishing we stayed longer
- Cherie (10/5): - The retreat room

- Lee (9/5): - Very clean, courteous and friendly hosts
- Felicia (10/5): Peaceful and private - Peaceful and private. Lynne's rocky road was the best.
- Rebecca Moutin (10/5): Picturesque Granite Gardens. - The staff were friendly, helpful and organised. They seemed to think of everything, from breakfast to bird seed. Close enough to Girraween National Park and Stanthorpe, makes Granite Gardens an ideal getaway.
- Rebekah (10/5): Pleasant country stay <3 - The Granite Gardens Cottages truly exceeded our expectations. The Cottages amongst the countryside are the perfect place to recharge. There is plenty of space to walk around with your furbaby. The breakfast and food provided was extremely generous and was a lovely touch. Chris and Lynne have really thought about everything. This is a stay I would go back to in the future. What a pleasant time we had. Thank you! The only thing was the pillows were too soft - I am sure if we had asked Chris and Lynne would have accommodated this.
- Rod (10/5): -
- Amanda (10/5): One of the best places we've stayed - Everything about this place was perfect. The owners went out of their way to make us feel welcome. We were sitting out by the firepit, and they appeared with a trailer load of wood without us even asking. They are dog friendly and even have dog gates on the verandah. Location is superb. The breakfast hamper was the ideal size and the beds was super comfy! There is nothing we did not like
- Creina (10/5): Exceptional place to stay, everything was perfect - Beautiful, quiet location. The owner Chris was most welcoming and our cottage was well appointed with a generous amount of delicious food and treats for breakfast. Nothing
- Michelle (9/5): - Plenty of food for breakfasts. A lovely cheese plate to go with the local wines we purchased! Bird feeder and seed available and the birds joined us for our morning coffee.
- Gary (9/5): Loved it, highly recommended. - Awesome breakfast. Nice and quite location, yet close to town and other attractions. Nice and quite, yet close to town.
- Sharon (9/5): Peace and tranquility. - The setting is lovely and quiet. The cottages are very clean, the beds comfortable, and the breakfast provisions ample. The curtains are flimsy, which is disappointing as everything else is excellent. I’d prefer to sleep a little longer and sunup while on holiday so blockout curtains would be preferable.
- Sven (10/5): - Very tranquil location with a beautiful outlook over the trees, gardens and dam, with the constant presence of lovely birds. Breakfast left in cottage was great and the evening treat of rocky road was fantastic. What's not to like?
- John (10/5): We had a wonderful stay: just sad that we couldn't have had another night or two. - Breakfast provisions were very generous; the added bonus of cheeseboard and chocolates a real treat. Dvds were also thoughtful : would have been helpful if the weather had been wet. Lovely to see local products being showcased.
- Gillon (10/5): -

The breakfast basket was ample for the 2 mornings and the Rocky Road treat supplied by Lynne was delicious. We had the whole place to ourselves, so very quiet indeed. The space is very tranquil. Nothing really not to dislike..

- Grimish (9/5): Loved the whole experience. - Tranquil setting with many different birds frequenting the bird feeder stocked by the hosts. Very quiet most of the time, centrally located between the town and many wineries and other attractions. Breakfast food was of a good quality sourced locally. Cottage well appointed with diffuser and oils, wood heater and quality soaps, bath bomb etc. Hosts knew we were celebrating an anniversary and left us a bottle of local bubbly. Would have liked the bird feeder to have been re-stocked maybe once during our three night stay.

- Christopher (10/5): Exceptional - We arrived and were warmly greeted by Lynne. She was happy and easily approachable. She provided us with some guidance on the area and was keen to hear of our adventure at the end. Once settled at the property we didn't see or hear from the owners but felt we could reach out if needed. Had a wonderful stay at this accommodation.
- Julie (8/5): Peaceful, quiet, relaxing, and calming - The quiet and the serenity Away from the normal hustle and bustle of life

- Cat (10/5): Picturesque location & a lovely villa... perfect for a relaxing break! - A stunning location... so quiet and relaxing. The only sound we heard were the birds, and the occasional sheep. I'm an early riser and had my morning coffee on the verandah and each day I watched a little fox wander past the lake... he sure had the bunnies scurrying! The villa was very well equipped with a coffee machine, cooking facilities, a combustion wood fire (and plenty of wood with stocks replenished daily), a lovely ensuite, and a very comfy firm king bed with crisp clean linens. Lovely local produce supplied in the breakfast hamper and local bath products in the ensuite (Washpool). Hosts Chris & Lynne were exceptional... nothing was too much trouble. We'll definitely be back :) Not really anything

- Susanne (10/5): Will definitely stay agin. - Beautiful grounds and beautifully presented little cottages in picturesque surroundings. Our cottage had a fireplace and reserve cycle air conditioning which was necessary as it was cold. Firewood was easily accessible. Breakfast hamper was great as well and kitchen was well stocked and practical. Cottage was very comfortable for long stays.
Our hosts were very welcoming and friendly. No laundry so had to do laundry in town

We stayed in the Lake Retreat and it was absolutely beautiful—cosy, peaceful and very comfortable. The cottage had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway, including a fireplace, a well-appointed kitchen, and generous breakfast provisions.
The owners were incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home. Their local knowledge and personalised recommendations for things to do and places to eat in Stanthorpe were spot on—we appreciated them all and they really enhanced our trip.
Just 10 minutes from town, the retreat feels like its own private haven of tranquillity. We loved every minute and would happily return.

The breakfast hamper is very generous, and the cheese board, rocky road and other little extras were very much appreciated. Loved sitting by the fire and taking in the wonderful view. The lakeside studio was large and accommodating, and very comfortable. The lake and surrounding gardens were lovely to look out on at all times of day.
The kitchen was very well-equipped in the main, the fridge being well-stocked with bacon, eggs, tomato, yoghurt, fruit, cheeses, rocky road, butter, milk etc. Also provided was locally-produced apple juice, bread, muesli, water crackers, crisps and lovely jams. Very generous and varying.
Chris, the host, was very welcoming, friendly, helpful and most personable. Very little was not to like besides a toilet seat that was ill-fitting and hotplates which were in an awkward position for a short person to use. A little extra cutlery and dinner-ware would have made things a little easier at times.
- Matthew (10/5): We can't wait to go back. An absolute jewel of a property. - Chris and Lynne have established an absolute jewel of the Granite Belt with Granite Gardens. Honestly, we can't say enough good things about this property. Setting? Amazing. The Retreat cottage? Stunning. Hospitality of hosts? Second to none. The owners took so much pride and care in their work to ensure you have the most enjoyable stay. I was also in a bit of trouble with my car which they kindly offered me a lift from town and also stayed in contact to make sure I was safe. Beautiful, kind people who go above and beyond.
