- Vilas (10/5): - Appreciate if the cook learns how to fry eggs and not burn the bottom also serve a vegetarian option if possible. Presentation matters the most.Otherwise the property is immaculate.

- Jack L (10/5): - We spent 13 nights in Ireland and Ballygowan was our home base to explore the Wild Atlantic Way. Our hosts, Carmel and Charlie O Brien, were fantastic. Breakfasts were tasty and bountiful. Their home is clean and inviting. Returning each evening, we felt like we were coming home.
There is nothing I would change about this B&B.

- Jessica (10/5): Fun formal and comfortable - Very friendly, greeted us by name. Enjoyed interacting with my 3 year old son. Made us feel very welcome. Had recommendations for restaurants nearby and breakfast was delicious. I loved the little details like linen napkins and napkin rings. It felt very formal but very comfortable.

- Donna (10/5): Great stay near Newcastle West - My daughter and I stayed 2 nights here. It was a beautiful property, the owners are the nicest people, and breakfast was amazing. We met several other guests during our breakfasts and they seemed to have a similar experience. WiFi access was good. Parking, as in all of Ireland, is tight, but not too much trouble getting in and out. There are 5 guest rooms so there won't be many cars anyway. The location is great too.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - First b and b I have ever used, the hosts were great.

- Darren (8/5): - Our room (number 3) was extremely roomy. Bed though, was rock hard, as we’re the pillows. Shelf under mirror needed attention, as anything put on it, slid off. They were the only complaints.
Charlie & Carmel were lovely hosts and very welcoming. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay again if in the area. A good hot breakkie was also enjoyed.

- Shingo (10/5): Excellent B & B - Very helpful and friendly B & B staff. In the back of B & B, there were cows and they look good. The place is easy access to Adare. Front garden is beautiful. View from bedroom is superb and you can see beautiful sunrise if you can get up early.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very friendly and helpful owners. Breakfast was very tasty. Very cozy B&B on main road.
- Alan (8/5): Lovely place and owners - Carmel and Charlie were extremely wonderful hosts. They are very friendly and very willing to help with anything. Carmel recommended a few places for us to see and eat and they were great. The breakfast we had was the best of our 9 day stay in Ireland. The home was comfortable, lovely, and very clean. My wife and I really enjoyed our stay with them and would definitely return. Keep in mind that it is a lovely older home with allot of character. If you are expecting lots of modern amenities (ie. large flat screen TV's, etc.), you might be disappointed. It is in a good location, right on the main road, toward Adare/Limerick. For some reason, our GPS had some issues finding it so just beware.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Wonderful service - Wonderful hosts. We were cooked a full breakfast early to help us get to our boat trip to Skeillig Michael.
- Margaret (6/5): Home from home! - carmel, hostsee
Carmel, hostess very friendly and helpful, very homely feel.A lovely georgian style decor inside, lovely breakfast next morning, very good area if spending a couple of days in local area or heading down to kerry for a break.

- PK (10/5): Friendly and Helpful - Carmen was friendly, attentive, and helpful. Made us feel like family. Charlie gave us a ride into town with some tips on where to eat and find a good pint. The "Full Irish" breakfast was made to fit our schedule and was delicious.
- Jan (10/5): Homey - Lovely people clean bedrooms great breakfast
- Verified traveler (8/5): Very reasonable and traditional Irish B&B - The bed and breakfast was a very tradtional bed and breakfast and felt like you were in the Irish countryside. Only minutes away from the city center of Newcastle West. The hotel staff was extremely nice and helpful and even recommended a place to eat in town. Easy to find the hotel right off the highway.
- Lynda (10/5): Very enjoyable stay at this lovely B&B - Very friendly and welcoming owners. Fantastic choice for breakfast, we had the full Irish which was very tasty.
Lovely view over the rolling countryside from our quiet relaxing room.
Hope to stay again in the future.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Fantastic place to stay - We really enjoyed staying at Ballingowan House. The host was very friendly, took time for a chat with us and made us feel very welcome. The house is conveniently located and very pretty. Same goes for the rooms: cozy, clean and welcoming. There was a kettle & tea in the room. Our full Irish breakfast complete with toast & soda bread was yummy. We'll be back!
- Yinglings (10/5): Close to town with peace and quiet of the country - Our hosts were lovely people, the entire property inside and out was clean and welcoming. Breakfast was freshly made and warmly served, with specially request honored. Room was a great size and very fresh and clean...next time in Ireland we will be staying there. Thank you for your hospitality.
- Orrs (10/5): - This was our first experience with a B&B and it was very pleasant.
