- Brian (8/5): - Location and breakfast were very good. Room somewhat on small side but little time spent in room because of the amazing sights. Biggest drawback is the stairs. They are an ordeal especially if your oomis on the 4th floor and you're over 60 !!

- Stanislav (10/5): Пожалуй лучший отель в своей ценовой категории - Выше всех похвал.Это лучший отель в своей ценовой категории,в которых доводилось останавливаться в Санкт Петербурге,а их было не мало.За день до приезда позвонили,уточнили время приезда,встретили и чуть ли не за руку провели и что где находится показали.Уютная почти домашняя обстановка,тишина,даже когда идет уборка на этаже,то горничные в отличии от других отелей как то мистическим образом умудряются делать ее максимально тихо и не орут обшаясь друг с другом через коридор.Три этажа на каждый отдельный закрытый ход,нет лифта,но проблема решается на рецепшен .кому тяжело или высоко багаж заносят.Приличные завтраки,домашние обеды и ужины,улыбки персонала.Весь персонал обладает ангельским терпением и отвечает без раздражения на любые вопросы.Месторасположение идеальное напротив вокзала.В номерах идеальная чистота.

- Vannapha (8/5): Nice stay - I’ve been there for 4nights and got very good stay. Cozy and very clean room with comfort bed. Staffs are nice and all are English spoken persons. The location is epic! It’s just at the center of everything. Opposite the main train station and large department store called Galleria. One only cons I got was there is no elevator! but it’s just not a big deal if you check-in during 10.00-19.00 because it’s bell-boy working hours. (I arrived at around 21.00 so I had to drag my 20kg luggage to 3rd floor by myself)

- ぞうさん (6/5): 交通の便の良いホテル - モスクワ駅や地下鉄の駅に近く、交通の便の良いホテルです。サンクトペテルブルク滞在後にモスクワに鉄路で移動を予定の方には便利です。部屋は狭く、日本のビジネスホテル程度で、冷房がついていますが、冷蔵庫はありません。また、エレベーターはなく、重い荷物があると持ち運びが大変です。１Fの入り口や各階の部屋への出入りはセキュリティロックがついていて安心ですが、私が滞在した際には、ホテルスタッフからセキュリティ解除法についての説明がなく戸惑いました。近くにフィンランドの百貨店ストックマンの支店があり、地下1階では食品、総菜、飲料等が購入できます。少人数（1～２人）での旅行者や出張者にお勧めです。

- YUE HON (8/5): - convenient location just the room I was given was smaller than the pictures on hotels.com. the location of my room however was not easy to get to. I had to go upstairs, walk through the corridor and then go downstairs to get to my room. The hotel staff was very helpful they spoke good English and the breakfast was very good too.

Öider direkt an Hauptverkehrsstarße gelegen und entsprechend laut in den Zimmern zur Straße. Kleines, gemütliches Zimmer, für Kurzreisen gut geeignet. Frühstück o.k., ganztätig heißes Wasser, Tee, Kekse.

Stary budynek adaptowany z mieszkalnego bez windy z zakamarkami, w którym odnalezienie pokoju wymaga pokonania kilku pięter w dół i w górę. Małe pokoje bez lodówek i innych udogodnień. Brak zaplecza: weście na zasadzie dzwonka, recepcja na korytarzyku, stołówka mała, gdzie w przypadku wycieczek brak możliwości siedzenia, wyznaczane godziny śniadań (np. po 9.oo). Obsługa miła lecz niewiele mogąca zrobić w obiekcie, który nie powinien być zaliczony do kategorii hotel.
- Jyrki (8/5): Reasonable hotel in the centre - We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. Everything was ok, room was very small but enough for 2 people, shower, toilet and all functioned very well. A big plus is for air-conditioning, because we had two very warm summerdays, but the room was comfortable. Breakfast was included, not big but all that we needed to start a day. The biggest shopping centre in the city is right opposite the street and also metro station. Staff was very frienly and english spoken. Free wi-fi. I might come back to this hotel.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Nice hotel close to train station - The location was perfect we took the train from Moscow to st. Petersburg, after a 4 hour train ride it was nice to just walk across the street to the hotel. Lots of people and foot traffic in the this location, could be noisy at times, but it certainly didn't affect our sleep. Lots of dining option nearby and the breakfast from the hotel was very good too. The room was designed a little weird it was for three people, two beds. It was 2 floors and the bathroom was on the second floor, it wasn't inconvenient for me but it may be for others, particularly older or out of shape people. I would still recommend it though.

Cuartos pequeños pero cómodas, limpias, tienen todo lo necesario (botellas de agua, cosas para baño, hasta pantuflas y tapones para oídos). Muy buenos desayunos en su cafeteria. Te y café con galletas disponible 24 horas. Muy recomendable.
- jkwang (6/5): Affordable hotel. - Location was good. Room was well organized but small space and noisy. Restaurant menu simple but not bad and also small space. No elevator. For the staffs, so so. In general, not recommendable place but affordable.

The staff, however, we're very helpful but it did not come up to modern European standards. We would not recommend this hotel to anyone at the price we were charged.

- Karim (6/5): Good but not for everyone - There are good things about the Ligotel. First of all, it's affordable and located in the heart of St Petersburg tourist area at the corner of Ligovsky and Nevsky Prospekt. The main sights (Church of Spilled blood, Kazan cathedral etc) are only 15 minutes away by foot. St Petersburg's train station along with Ploshad Vastania metro station are right across the street. A good breakfast comes with the room and is served every morning in the hotel's café. Last, but not least, the staff of young women are very friendly and helpful. However, what others reviewers have written is true. The rooms are tiny, very tiny. There is only room for a bed, a small desk and a tiny closet. If you plan on relaxing in your room after a long day of sightseeing, or are afraid of confined spaces, the Ligotel might not be for you. Rooms are minimal and if you're looking for anything fancy, you should definitely look elsewhere. Although, the rooms are very tiny, they do have everything you need including a small safe to store your money and passport. If you're only looking for a cheap place in St.Petersburg's tourist area and don't mind the lack of comfort, then the Ligotel might be an option for you. Otherwise, you should look elsewhere.

The breakfast was pretty good as well. The hotel is small, however, and I would have liked to have a fitness center.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Great location, pretty hotel, but strange room - Ligotel is a very nice hotel with friendly staff and yummy breakfast buffet. The only downside was the location of our room. It was in the adjacent building and only accessible through a labyrinth of hallways, then a side stairwell and only then we reached our room. The room was small, though clean. It was a strange experience. The rooms in the actual hotel were much more spacious
- akifrgn (6/5): Near to Nevsky Prospect - The place of hotel is good. Near to Nevsky, bus and metro. Our first room was good. Silent, small but well decorated. Our objection was about water heater set. They were natural gas type and mounted in the bathroom. It was dangerous according to my knowledge. After one night use they axcepted to change our room. The second room has no cupboard at all. There was no chance, we accepted. It was boring but not dangerous. Reception and kitchen personel was OK and friendly.

- Verified traveler (10/5): Central location, great amenities - Very good location, near both the metro and train station, only a couple blocks off the main street, nevsky prospekt, across from the Galleria. Got a room with a tub in the shower, which is an extra luxury for Europe, imo. They have 2 buildings and the way to get to the second building is a little bit weird (first building is 3 floors and second building is 2 floors, so you have to go up and then go down if you stay in the second building), but it's a inconsequential inconvenience since the room looks new, clean, and quiet.

Hotels.com is the only site I book my hotels because I trust this company and customers reviews really help for choosing a right hotel for you. Not only they have the lowest price, I also booked a flight as well. First of all, this hotel's location is great!! Even though it was my first time to visit there, I didn't have any problem with directions. Hotel is located only a min or 2 to the metro. Hotel staff speak English and they are very professional. They booked a ticket for Peterhof Palace for me. They also recommended where to go and visit. I had a lonely planet book and it ended up staying in my room. A room I got was very nice and clean. A bed was very comfortable. My girlfriend is usually very picky and she didn't complain a thing this time. Wifi works great. They offer a free delicious breakfast every morning. Even hotel is located on busy street, it's not noisy at all. We slept totally fine. I would like to thank to everybody at this hotel and hotels.com for finding me a great hotel and flight tickets that absolutely help our vacation better!!
- Ivan (10/5): Classical 3* hotel - I can proudly recommend this hotel to stay in business and leisure trips, but remember you may have windows with Ligovsky Prospect view - there is high traffic with some kind of noice, but free noise-taps is very usefull. There is could be some problems with accessibility, but I didn't tryed it. Rooms is clean and have free high-speed WiFi. Water dispenser is on the floors. Receptionists is very nice and helpfull. Minibar is not too expensive if you want to use it, comparable to shop prices nearby. 2 min pedestrian walk to Mayakovskaya & Vosstania sq. subway stations. At least 1 mall nearby (Gallereya mall).

Mini bar, lovely window views, warm and soundproof... If we return would definitely stay here again... Train and tube opposite... With shops and cafes all in spitting distance... Perfect x

- iamaws (6/5): Nice hotel but VERY tiny - Stay was OK. The room was very small. Bed was small too. The property is clean and has a nice breakfast buffet (real eggs - fried, scrambled and omelet). There is no elevator and no bell boys either - you'll have to carry your luggage upstairs. Bathrooms are clean but again are very small - so there is no bathtub.

Bathrooms are very small, with cheap decoration and bath equipment, although their condition is good. They have a local water-heating system, which makes it a bit tricky to adjust water temperature. If you use shower and your wife/friend turns on water in the sink at the same time (or someone in the adjacent room), the water flow becomes a lot weaker and the temperature may change, so be careful :). At the same time the location is great, just one-two subway stations from major points of interest. Breakfast is ok. Staff are friendly and helpful. There's no elevator, so don't take too much luggage, there's no porter at the hotel either :).
- Forest54 (8/5): Really convenient hotel - The hotel is in an excellent position, on bus routes and opposite both Metro and mainline stations. It is close to Nevsky Prospekt and is opposite the Galeria Mall which contains a large selection of Russian and international stores and restaurants. The hotel is in an old building with long staircases and no lifts, so be warned that you may have to carry your luggage up a long way. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Breakfast is a basic but adequate buffet. All in all a good hotel for the price and I would use it again
