- Hk20 (9/5): Superb - The atmosphere was very relaxing and the beds were extremely comfortable . We really enjoyed the hospitality and the delicious breakfast. We will definitely recommend this stay to our friends and family.
- Bryoni (7/5): Good - I loved the beautiful courtyard and the breakfast was delicious. The bed was very comfortable and the WiFi worked well. The shower was IN the bedroom without any privacy screen. The toilet cubicle was very small. The TV in the room had one channel, which was just adverts.
- Jaco (5/5): Passable - The host was exceptionally helpful, friendly, and accommodating, ensuring that all our requests were met with care and attention. We were disappointed that the family room was much smaller than depicted in the photos. The bathroom was extremely tiny, featuring a plastic shower surround that had some mold. Additionally, the roof included a sunroof that allowed natural light to enter, but birds frequently knocked against it, causing dust to fall and creating a persistent noise that we found disruptive.
- Hills (10/5): Exceptional -
- Zachary (9/5): Superb -

Good parking facility 🚘
Cosy breakfast area🥓🍳 Outside staircase only means to access the rooms. This was a bit tiring for my 91year old Mum.

Old fashioned but okay for the price. It was nothing like the picture.

- Haylett (7/5): It met our needs. - The staff was excellent. The breakfast was good. I was glad for the fan . The room was to small. There was only 1 TV channel.

- Winston (6/5): Pleasant - Building Noise outside
- Pieter (9/5): Superb -
- Johan (7/5): Old building with plank floors, no water pressure, window does not close and next to the street - Big room and comfortable bed The warmwater took forever to warm up with no water pressure. Was not aware they har wifi. My window did not close properly so i could here the people and cars in the street
- Coller (8/5): Very good - We really enjoyed our time at the the Villa it felt as if we were in Greece.I loved the theme set up aswell as the room. It was small but cozy. Also very friendly staff. Thanks to Shaun for showing us around the place and to the lady that made us that lovey breakfast. We will definitely visit again. Thanks from Claude and Chrissy Coller,Retreat Cape Town.
- Lehan (7/5): Good -
- Tanya (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anna (4/5): Will not recomment it - Breakfast was good and on time, no variety though. Location is in a busy street very noisy. Parking was good and secure Room was basic shower door not closing properly, took very long t get hot water and then could not get it comfortable temperature. No fridge or workstation in room. No chair to even watch TV. TV very high and at difficult ancle to watch. Carpet in front of room had big stain. No key to sit on stoop or get more comfortable. terrible narrow stairs to climb to rooms corridor just as narrow and lots of old carpets loose on floor, making tripping easy. Windows not easy to open and fan either fast or slow. Cupboard was loose and unstable, no drawers for clothes
- H (6/5): Pleasant -
- Karli (7/5): Good - Safe parking The noise on the streets at night
- Karli (7/5): Good - Rooms are neat, and beds are comfortable. The breakfast was very nice. The manager was very accommodating with making changes to bookings and friendly. We stayed there after a wedding and only arrived at 02:30 in the morning, and it was still very easy to get in and find our rooms, etc. All though the rooms are very neat and the beds are comfortable, the outside area with a pool and braai is there to enjoy, but it does not look like the photos at all. The rooms are all against each other, almost like a hostel. There isn't a kitchen where you can make use of a fridge, just the guy staying there who's room you have to enter to get ice. The street is quite noisy, with people walking up and down and making noise. Still a very enjoyable stay.
- Lance (8/5): Very friendly staff, comfy beds -
- Nicole (10/5): Exceptional -
- Martie (5/5): Passable -
- Abrahams (6/5): Pleasant -
- Anzett (7/5): Good -
- Nicolette (9/5): Relaxing and enjoyed the quietness. - Breakfast was nice. Nothing
- Surika (7/5): Good -
- Zelma (8/5): Very good - Welcome The open shower in the room.
- Qunta (4/5): Na - It's clean The breakfast was not enough no cereals or fruit even the juice
- Melanie (4/5): Disappointing -
- Grace (8/5): Very good - The little lounge where one can sit and read books they place there -or your own.
Super, friendly staff who served brealfast with pleasure.
Sean went out of his way to make each guest feel special and as he promised, he was available 24/7.
We got stuck on a farm (after they locked the gate) and we could call Sean to get assistance for us. Way beyond his duty, and he kept following up with is to ensure that we were safely on our way back.
Thank you Sean.
Safe and secure parking. Parking is a bit tricky to find as the glass sliding door looks different than the typical parking entrance. But once identified it is a breeze. Will be great to have a "no waiting area" sign on the door as people shop and choose to wait at the door for their lift (with all their groceries) and small children. They obviously are not aware that cars enter and exit there.
Otherwise, the parking is safe and secure and remote access only.
- Moody (8/5): Very good - The host and staff were friendly and efficient The location was safe but in a crowded CBD⁸
- Glenn (7/5): Good -
- Antoinette (7/5): We were literally in and out but the stay was pleasant and comfortable. - It was clean and neat and the staff were helpful and friendly. Off the street parking was a huge bonus! It is not in the best area.
- Marionette (8/5): Very good - My only issue was that nowhere did the details or photos mention stairs. My 80 year old father-in-law struggled to climb the stairs. However the staff was very accommodating. Other than that, all good.
- Christopher (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nadine (10/5): Exceptional -
- Theodore (7/5): Comfortable and definitely value for money. If you like old world charm then this is it. - Breakfast was good. Impress with the parking
facility. Rooms were heated before our arrival which was a definite plus. Although we were impressed with the parking, someone could have walked in with us when the garage door opened. I don’t know if this security feature can be improved though.
- Shani (6/5): Pleasant -
- Barry (7/5): Good -
- Chanté (10/5): Exceptional -
- Bianca (8/5): Very good - Athenia Villa was so kind to accommodate our family during the storm and floods over the past weekend. We attended a wedding and we only booked for one night but they offered us to stay until the storm passed and until it was safe to travel back to Cape Town. Thank you so much for the hospitality and making our family's safety a priority.
- Shamilla (8/5): Very good - The room was clean and tidy. Nice big bed. Breakfast was very nice and staff very helpful.
- Konrad (4/5): Not what we expected - Average Everything
- Alderick (8/5): We stayed comfortably and it suited our needs. We needed to do some business the next day close by. -
- Van (7/5): Good -
- Taswin (6/5): Pleasant -
- Maryna (6/5): Pleasant - Good coffee
Can not complain
Cozy fire and heather was on when i arrived
Clean bedding The manager talk for a hour when he show me my room.
- Franco (7/5): Good -
- Rodger (10/5): We enjoyed a very relaxing, peaceful, comfortable stay and had a delicious breakfast too. - The staff are all very friendly and the facility was quiet, peaceful, relaxing and we enjoyed our stay very much. Breakfast was great too. Nothing comes to mind. We had a really great stay.
- Mirinda (8/5): Very good - Clean linen on huge bed. Lovely breakfast was served. Secure parking on site gave us peace of mind about safety of our vehicle. Limit bulky luggage as stairs and passages are narrow.
- Swartland (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jocelyn (5/5): Passable -
- Schmidt (5/5): Different and average. - Warm fire place. Breakfast was okay. Room was smaller than thought. Area is different luckily there is specific parking inside the garage.
- Ahmed (8/5): Very good -
- Van (3/5): It was disappointing. - Breakfast was an hour late and cold. They couldn’t even toast the bread. The room walls paint was peeling and the floor was scratched badly. The guy running the place also decided to invite himself to our breakfast and proceeded to watch us eat the whole time. I have been going to Athenian villa for years with my family but this was the most disappointing trip ever.
