Jenn (8/5): The hotel is beautiful! But beware of staff. - The hotel was beautiful. The room was wonderful. The restaurant was delicious! Would recommend. The staff struggled the whole time we were there. Check in was aweful. And the staff struggled every time we engaged them. Definitely was a poor staff experience.

Dean (10/5): If you want to feel of a Edwardian mansion with a slate Gothic tinge to it… Please stay at the ambassador hotel! - The place has this interesting dark, gothic mansion feel to it, which I found very interesting and added to a different kind of ambience. . The front of the building also looks like it could be like a Gothic castle straight out of a movie especially at night. The gal working the bar in the downstairs restaurant- forgive me for not remembering her name… She was very young and I believe it was only her second or third week. anyway she was excellent and I spoke with her throughout the evening and was very very impressed by her service, her professionalism in her smile The front desk people were… OK. Not the greatest in terms of the warmness and making me feel as good as the gal in the restaurant did.

Rebecca (8/5): It was great! I won't be booking through a booking website again though! - I loved the fancy robes, access to old school tv, and everything about the bed. There were so many little details that were really nice too-like a nightlight in the bathroom, cotton swabs, etc. I booked through a booking website and paid the full amount. Then upon arrival, the hotel's system didn't recognize that, so they charged me again. They were able to figure it out and the manager was really kind and helpful...it was just inconvenient. I'm still waiting on the refund to be in my account, and the stay was about 6 days ago (09/26-27).

By mistake I selected the last weekend of august instead of when i ended up staying there. When I tried to reschedule, the modification fee was as much as making a brand new reservation. I made a new reservation and DID NOT WANT the original date cancelled. But my wife just messaged me that the reservation for the last week of august is cancelled

It’s basically just for adults to hang out and water and drink. It is very small but welcoming on a hot Oklahoma day. The chalkboard restaurant is absolutely fabulous. The food was delicious and the pricing is amazing.

Summer (6/5): - The staff was amazing. Friendly, helpful, sociable, and informative. The room was nice and clean, nothing special, but kind of loud. I could hear doors shutting in the hallway, the bathroom above me, and the tv next door. It wasn't too bad, just startled me several times. My biggest issues, though, were the added fees. It advertized free wifi- wifi is $10/day. There was no parking near by, so you pretty much had to use the valet, which was an automatic $50. I was also disappointed that the room I booked showed it had a tub, but it didn't. I was really looking forward to that soak! But the staff was amazing, room service was fast, and the steak was phenomenal! The room itself was nice and comfortable.

The only constructive criticism would be the employees at the front desk when we checked in around 4-4:30 that day. They acted like they didn’t want to be there and when we asked directions on how to get to the Amphitheater Zoo for a concert the gal said she wasn’t sure. Definitely didn’t seem interested in assisting.
Lori (10/5): Lovely, romantic anniversary getaway. - My Husband and I stayed at the Ambassador on a short trip to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. We had drinks in the bar. It was wonderful. Then we had dinner at The Chalkboard restaurant. The beef wellington was delicious! The service was excellent. Our room was lovely. The hotel sent us a small bottle of champagne for 2, in honor of our anniversary. The Ambassador is definitely our new favorite place in Oklahoma City.

douglasgW3030CL (10/5): Great First Stay - I really liked the size of our corner room in this hotel. The staff has been great & hospitable. We were able to easily walk to places to eat. Valet service has been good. Only problem we had was road noise was more than we expected. However, we were on the 2d floor in the very front. It could be an upper room toward the back would be a better choice. We used room service the first night of our rest getaway. The food was good with the ribeye frites. I am sure we will come again

The mattress was not comfortable. The choice of coffee was not good. We prefer just plain coffee. Did not have a fridge for leftovers or a microwave to reheat them.
856sala (10/5): My go to in okc - From the front desk staff, to Jason in valet, to O bar, to the room, I loved everything about it. Everyone there was friendly and hospitable. Their rooftop on the 7th floor had a great view of the city especially if you knew able to get a seat outside. Will definitely be staying again!

This was a perfect place to celebrate my husband’s 50th birthday.

We used their courtesy driver to take us to our date spot, and they came and picked us up when we were done. we were very impressed with the bar. Staff was very attentive, and food and drinks were really good. Our room was very clean, large in size, and had nice amenities. We are already planning another trip back.

It was decorated with chocolate and raspberries and blackberries. Wonderful touch. We did not even mention it was his birthday and this cake appeared. How did they know that. The gentleman in Valet today went above and beyond! Extremely helpful. Plan on returning for my birthday in January! The Chalkboard restaurant is outstanding. Great service, wonderful food. Definitely will be returning!
