Guest Reviews
- Clare (10/5): Loved staying in this beautiful comfortable and nicely quirky hotel - The restaurant under the hotel was fabulous, very tasty and original dishes. I liked the breakfast in bed idea! With breakfast brought to the room. Very relaxing Carrying suitcase up the stairs but a minor complaint!!!

- Caroline (10/5): Great overnighter - Everything. Great room. Great bed guest en suite. Self check-in. Having to pay for parking.
- Batty (7/5): -
- simon (10/5): One night stay in a home from home - Great cosy rooms Nothing
- Caroline (8/5): Lovely weekend break at Celentano's - My Husband & I stayed for the weekend end of Nov. The place was lovely. The food in the restaurant was delicious, every dish was yummy and the server was friendly. The loft room was lovely, nice view of the cathedral. Gorgeous bathroom with a rolltop. Lovely and clean. Nice to have breakfast in bed. We had a problem with no hot water both days but the owner helped to rectify this. The breakfast basket was a little disappointing and we had to go out to the shops to top it up to make sure we were full for our days of sightseeing.
- Christiane (9/5): -
- Ann (7/5): - Room was clean and comfortable and the bathroom was well stocked with toiletries. The room was lovely and warm and the television was in good working order. The fruit and snacks in the fridge were lovely and fresh. Plenty of coffee and cream. The fridge was tiny and the snacks consisted of a sliver of cheese, cream and a tiny bottle of milk. We brought a pint of milk but it was too big for the fridge. The teabags offered were not clearly labeled so unsure what flavour eg green etc. The breakfast was inadequate for 2 people and only sourdough bread with no spread and a tiny jar with some kind of unknown cereal. Only 1 pasty when its a breakfast for 2. The breakfast was totally inadequate. The stairs to the room were very steep and no lift so think it should be stated not suitable for those with even a slight disability.
- Hannah (9/5): Look forward to visiting again! - Historic building with beautiful modern interior design

- Andrew (10/5): Very comfortable, real coffee in the room, will return if possible . -

- West (10/5): - Loved the breakfast in bed and the restaurant was amazing. Also the gluten free options were some of the best I’ve had and they had adapted so many options, including the amazing breakfast. Just sad to hear you’re closing!

- Jonas (10/5): -

- Susie (9/5): Beautiful room with a lovely view and very comfortable. S - We loved the view from our room of Glasgow Cathedral and the bed was very comfortable and spacious. We also loved the shower.
The breakfast was delicious and so special to have breakfast in bed. The door on the bathroom didn’t lock
- Nathalie (8/5): Atmospheric - Beautiful hotel. Confortable room with great views. We did not see anyone during our stay there. Not possible to have breakfast in dining room.
- Bernd (10/5): - Very well prepared information upfront per e-mail.
Nice and tidy room in a historical building.
Location next to the cathedral.
Nice idea to have the breakfast in the room. Unfortunately, we had to leave too early to do so. n/a

- sara (9/5): Lovely, quirky, atmospheric - would go again. - Great, original breakfast with amazing ground coffee, artisanal sourdough, rhubarb & ginger jam. Fab location near Glasgow necropolis, where I walked before going about my work day. Lovely design touches in the room, shower, lotions and potions. Quite dark where you let yourself in. Slightly offputting for a woman late at night, scrabbling through multiple emails to locate the code (buried deep in one para) with my phone running out of battery. Text the code — better idea.
- Andrew (5/5): - Room was immaculate and comfortable, breakfast was decent. Food was bang average and pricey
- Florian (8/5): -
- Gill (10/5): - Everything was exactly what we needed x Not being able to smoke in the garden only moan as wasn't getting used for food
The bar closed early too would have been nice to open till 12 but being more a restaurant I understand once everyone's fed it gets quiet.
- John (9/5): Great visit - The overall experience was great.
- Rory (9/5): -
- Tina (10/5): Fantastic room, great location, breakfast in the room was a lovely touch too - Gorgeous building in a very pretty part of the city full of history, and Autumn maybe the best time of year too, lots of colour Loved it, the only tiny criticism was the loud music downstairs at 10 am
- Toby (7/5): Quirky find worth a try. - Cute. Boutiquey. Don’t be afraid of stairs - lots of them to the higher rooms. Area wasn’t too glam. Shame.
- Richard Heald (10/5): Good location, comfy room. - Good location. Excellent staff and communication. Nothing.
- John (10/5): 5* luxury stay - 5 Star luxury! Beautiful room, lovely comfy bed, linen and towels. Great view of the cathedral. We appreciated the attention to detail in the room design and products chosen. Lovely friendly team. Keep up the good work guys!
We loved the restaurant too.
- Steve (2/5): Would never stay there again - Nothing Awful breakfast choice and tiny room

We were pleased that our eveni g meal was just one flight downtown
- Derek (8/5): -
- Jason (10/5): -
- Guest (9/5): Just perfect second time can’t wait to come back soon - Lovely just right Nothing

- E (7/5): - Location
Rooms clean
Lovely bread but breakfast should all be served together on the tray in the morning....not wee bits left in the fridge.
Room 4 excellent - Room 2 and 3 not. Dirty and messy entrance and stairway.
Tiny bits of breakfast cheese vacuum wrapped and impossible to open without a sharp knife.
Room 2 and 3 stuffy and small.
- Nicoletta (9/5): -
- allison (10/5): Beautiful stay in an interesting part of the city. - Beautiful atmospheric building in an interesting location moments from the amazing Glasgow Cathedral and Necropolis. Great for getting to the Barrowlands and close to centre - we walked but its a very short taxi ride. Staff very friendly and helpful, beautiful food including meal in the restaurant and continental breakfast in room which is a treat. Tasteful, comfy rooms, relaxing and contemporary decoration. Nothing.
- Christian (10/5): Super Unterkunft inklusive gutem Essen - Sehr gemütloch und liebevoll eingerichtet.
Leckeres Frühstück -
- Stacy (10/5): -
- Vikki (9/5): Beautiful, characterful property in a unique part of the city! - Loved the location just by the stunning Necropolis! A 15 min walk to city centre did not bother us but it might frustrate others. Rooms are cosy and luxurious. Little flaws were ignored because overall the hotel was wonderful! Boutique feel. Breakfast is continental. I liked it, my partner was disappointed.
- Michael (8/5): -
- Estefania (9/5): - The rooms were spacious and very nicely decorated. Coffee/tea were a nice extra.
Breakfast was left at our door before we woke up (pastries, yoghurt, etc) and dinner at the restaurant downstairs was excellent.
The location was very nice close to the cathedral and parks. The bathrooms are on the smaller side but do have shampoo etc.
Top
- Sheraz (6/5): -
- brigitte (7/5): -
- Darren (9/5): Little Escape from the hustle and bustle - Love the vibe and decor
It wasn’t a cold cookie cutter style room like most hotels
Food items brought to door was a nice touch The door with a gap underneath let in the light when people came onto the landing
- Yvonne (8/5): One night stay with dinner - Room was lovely and very well located for visiting cathedral area. We had dinner at the restaurant which was also very good. Staff were very helpful and welcoming. We enjoyed the breakfast in our room. Fruit juice would have been a nice addition to this.
- Peggy (7/5): -
- Angelika (10/5): - Super Lage. Traumhafte Aussicht auf die Necropolis.
- Deborah (9/5): We were aware of distance to Barrowland so not an issue, lovely accommodation would stay again - Excellent standard Required taxi’s to go to our destination
- spencer (8/5): Lovely rooms with great views. - Rooms lovely.
Breakfast tasty. Expensive parking - could they get a discount locally?
- Iain (9/5): -
- Sue (8/5): Perfect location, thoughtful touches. Would definitely stay again - Great location, views over the Necropolis from our loft room window!
Very clean & lots of thought went into the breakfast..homemade granola, yoghurt & banana cake. We liked it being left outside our room & civilised checkout time if 11am! Nothing!
- Ciara (10/5): My fave Glasgow food and accom stay! - Everything! Celentano's restaurant and rooms is an excellent choice for a Glasgow visit. The friendly team, delicious food, beautiful rooms and great location make this a no brainer for a Glasgow stay. -
- Brian (10/5): Great overnight stay - Really nice property near the centre but in a quiet location, and you must have something to eat in the restaurant, food was fantastic
- Julie (10/5): -
- Clemens (8/5): -
- Patricia (8/5): Good value. - The location was great. The room and bathroom were clean and spacious. Love the historic building. The restaurant was closed both days that we stayed, so breakfast wasn’t available. However, fresh fruit and coffee and tea were available. FYI, no elevator. Which was fine but just a heads up.
- Paul (9/5): - Extremely cosy, great location and quiet room Breakfast was a bit small
- Laura (10/5): Cozy and elegant - The cozy room was bigger than I expected and very tastefully decorated. The bathroom was very big, with an amazing shower. The bed was very comfortable.
The checkout at 11 was a nice touch, it allows to not to rush in the morning.
- Marta (10/5): -
- jennifer (10/5): Awesome!!! We will be back xx - Beautiful room, food excellent, ambiance brilliant!! Nothing
- lorenzo (8/5): -
- Liz (8/5): -
- Sharon (8/5): - We really enjoyed the comfortable room and the location. The breakfast was a lovely change from usual hotel breakfasts. Nothing. All great
- M (9/5): Expensive, but loved it! - Great location. Beautifully decorated room and very comfortable. Great outlook too!
- Guest (5/5): Location and restaurant a treat but room was noisy but comfortable - The location and the restaurant were great It was a noisy area with traffic and our room was above the kitchen which was a disturbance
- Lauren (6/5): -
- Briana (10/5): No ghosts, but good hotel and restaurant - Breakfast was served in the morning to my door and was pretty good. Continental style with some cold foods in the room fridge already so check there when the plate of granola and breads arrive if you want yogurt or butter. Location right next to the cathedral made it convenient for site seeing, including being right by a hop on hop off stop. Restaurant downstairs was excellent. I did not have any ghost activity, though a friend might have. We were on different floors. Due to temperatures had to sleep with the windows open and there is traffic outside since the hotel is over. Restaurant.
- Christopher (7/5): Lovely place to stay but expensive overall - Mostly everything The breakfast was disappointing
- graham (10/5): Wonderful find - The food and staff were amazing
Bathroom was so luxurious and the coffee in the room was fantastic and so fresh. The only slight downside is the noise from the steet however we think it was because we had to have the window open with it being an unusually hot day in the city
- Lucie (9/5): -
- Siu Fan (8/5): -
- Debbie (4/5): Quick overnight stop that worked for us would not recommend for extended stay - Nice location,
Great staff
Nice shower
Very clean No AC, hot room, outlet did not work for mini fridge, tiny roo
