- Ben (8/5): - Well run and clean property with few signs of wear and tear despite high usage. Bathrooms were clean and air-circulation was good. Only the kitchen ficilities let things down slightly due to high usage (taps loose in their fittings, communal scouring pads need more frequent replacement - one microwave was inoperable). But would definitely stay again.

No early checkin option have to wait for 03 hours in reception till 2pm for checkin. Took 04 bed sharing toom but had lots of suffocation no ventilation and aircon wasn't working property at night.
- Sierra (8/5): - Getting in and out of the rooms using the Goki app was pretty easy, staff at reception were really nice and helpful. The only complaint I have is the kitchen smelled so bad it permeated throughout the entire area outside it. I stayed on the 4th floor so I can’t speak for the other floors, but there were food items still in the fridges left unmoved for days/weeks at a time (I stayed for 2 weeks) and it was clear it probably hasnt been thoroughly cleaned/checked in a while. When dishes were washed and put away even by staff at the end of the night, there were still little grubs here and there on them. But housekeeping service and cleanliness of the entire place outside of that was pretty consistent. They cleaned the showers and trash every day, and fresh linens would be replaced from guests that were checked out. Everyone was really polite and helpful. Again, overall not bad.

Kitchen cooking smells into the room. Zero enfircement of 10pm noise curfew. In house music in Reception blaring past 1 0r 2 in the morning. Not sound-proofed ftom the rest of the hostel. UNBEARABLY NOISY EVEN ON TOP FLOOR WITH HIGHEST GRADE EAR PLUGS !
- Verified traveler (4/5): Good for meeting new people -with bad facilities - The pictures on the webside of the room I booked did not collide with reality! It was not very clean. The hostel was however very good if you want to meet new people. You get a free drink on the day of arrival to mingle with people. I only stayed for one night and I would not have liked to stay more than maybe 3 nights there. I forgot to take photos because I only stayed for 1 night.

People lying around, looking and smelling like they are living there permanently without showering. Mold, dusty airconditioning, wet walls. Way too loud music on the ground floor, not possible at all too speak to receptionists and annoying when sleeping. Only go here if you're looking for depression.

We just wanted a good night out and got no sleep whatsoever. Yelling and screaming outside of the room ALL night.Would never recommend or stay here again. Not happy !!!

- Jared (4/5): Pick another - The photos are incredibly deceiving - in reality, the entire hostel is very dark, especially in the common areas located on each floor. Perhaps this was different pre-covid. Dark, minimal outlets, and very vast spaces make areas difficult to meet others and/or relax on your own. The lobby has music blasting including during the check out times. Within the rooms, the doors are not soundproof at all so when people play music in the common areas, it will surely keep you up. Additionally, an in-room speaker will play music and make a checkout announcement everyday about an hour before checkout. Definitely be warned and don't trust the photos. Would strongly suggest to pick elsewhere unless major improvements are made to the current state of this hostel.

- Clizia (6/5): - The manager was welcoming and friendly. Great space concept, if it would have been cleaned. The room in which I stayed, 218 hasn’t been cleaned for long time, with trash scattered all over the ground. Bed sheets are not fitting with the mattress and the comforter size, therefore people were sleeping with out, I could clearly see the mattress cover and the comforter were dirty, huge stains on them. Bathroom had an acceptable cleanness. Kitchen was not good, I didn’t felt comfortable about cooking there, people were not respecting communal spaces, all surfaces were dirty, a person was even cutting his nails and just threw them on the ground.

Door banging through the night, screaming in common areas at 2am, rough people throughout the building and the mattress was legit like sleeping on concrete. Stay somewhere else.

- Verified traveler (6/5): Minimalist, powerpoints and... gas chamber chic - Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, though no one was at the desk when i first got there and had to wait around for an extra 40 mins. Room was huge which was nice; what it lacked in comforts (no coat hangers on coat rack, no carpet/floorboards/tiles, no hand or floor towels) it made up for in floorspace and powerpoints. That being said, the room was super echo-y and i could hear EVERYTHING that was happening outside and in the hallways. Random pipes coming out of the walls made me think of gas chambers in hollywood horror and or holocaust films.

- Verified traveler (4/5): - We called in advance to make sure we could check in late (11pm) the person who answered couldnt find our booking at all, rummaged a bit then finally found it and said I was lucky I called. When we checked in we were told we were in a sixman dorm but had it to ourselves.... We booked a double room with an ensuite so naturally i wasnt in love with this and there was no apology or acknowledgment that they had completely chnged our booking on us at all. We asked the next day if we could move into the room we actually booked and the guy at the counter said "no, who told you you could do that?! ". Needless to say I will not stay here again. Also there is no bar on site. And the roof top looks like a prison yard.

A broken system means that rooms are filthy, no storage for anyone, and yes, mice are seen throughout the hostel. Told them multiple times, but clearly they are concerned on other things. They should prioritize comfort and cleanliness to a reasonable standard.

Not sure how many of the rules they had you agree to upon check in they inforced (no outside food or drinks allowed inside, can't be antisocial, otherwise you could be evicted). Other than that, it's in an easily accessible area of town, close to many of the attractions Melbourne has to offer. Good for socializing and meeting new people.

Took 40 minutes to check in after the person walked off to have a cigarette and eat his chips The toilet had excrement plastered inside the bowl despite the sign saying they proudly clean each room every day. The sign said it was last cleaned 3 weeks ago! The staff were unsympathetic and took no interest in any of this when we brought it to their attention. There are plenty of better back packer hostels around, avoid this one!

I saw staff changing bed linen and pillow cover, but she put bare pillow on the ground and dragged new linen on the ground. And GROUND WAS DIRTY. Washing facilities: not bad 4 toilets and not good shower booths. Among around 8~9 booths, only 3~4 worked. And I saw a MOUSE 🐁 Food: breakfast was really good dislike other backpackers. Pasta, vegies, etc provided for breaky. There was free dinner but I'm not sure everyday or just that day.

The hostel is under renovation right now and things are very quiet there. I hope they make this place a better backpackers place with accessible bathroom and serving breakfast as well.

- Verified traveler (4/5): - Booked here bc it was cheaper than most. Most of the stove tops are not functional which makes it difficult to cook. Maybe three knives for prepping food, plastic forks and spoons which sometimes they run out of so everyone is fighting to find a used one someone hasn’t thrown away yet. Lots of loud drilling and sawing as they are undergoing renovation without a price drop so loud sounds from 8am-5am. Was asked to move rooms bc of “maintenance” to only find out it was bed bugs and had the guy that found them not told us we would have never known to wash all of our clothes! The next morning was asked to move rooms again bc a group was coming in without any type of reimbursement for having to pack and move twice, once for an infestation. Having said this the staff is extremely friendly, especially the overnight security team maybe just could have planned a bit wiser or compensated for the inconveniences. You definitely get what you pay for here and they make most of their money from large groups so I’m not sure this review will even have an impact.

Only complaint was there was no fly screen on the window and sharing with strangers I didnt really want to close it when they were sleeping as they left it open. Great staff. Cons: Multiple advertised facilities unavailable / ceased (from memory - no free breakfast, in house cafe closed, bed (initially) without advertised 9" mattress). Facilities poor/dirty/run down - fridges broken in kitchen, food scraps on stairs, no soap in L1 toilet, shower heads broken, water temperature fluctuates wildly, lack of ventilation, worn flooring (trip hazard) on L1 and roof, vending machines expensive and frequently not working properly, elevator that refuses to stop on L1 (only a real problem with luggage), slow check-in, staff quality variable.
- Bee (8/5): Popular hostel near centre - Friendly staff who are happy to help. Hostel isn't fancy but has everything you need and is within walking distance to multiple attractions/things to do.
- jayson (4/5): Wrost hostel I’ve ever stay - This hostels is too huge and there’s too many guests staying, which make the staff hard to manage this hostel. Also they do include breakfast, but you gotta woke up at 7 to get yours.
- Yeonjong (6/5): - Never comeback. I know it was the chiepest staying, but horrible.
- Cheridan (2/5): Shabby run down horrible place - Not impressed Feel very mislead, from photos to how it's actually looks is a vast difference. It's run down, shabby looking and frankly quiet gross. Paint peeling off the walls, rusty pipes in the dorms, key cards are temperamental and there was only 3powepoints for a room of 6, so if you're last home at night you don't get a PowerPoint. I chose this hostel due to how nice it looked and mainly for its facilities of kitchen and washing machines and it was pointless. No washing machines working which makes it very difficult when I was working 12hours a day and couldn't get anywhere else to do washing. Communal kitchen was rather gross, not much cooking equipment and what there was it was broken, not working or packed away filthy and I was worried of getting sick from using the kitchen. The dining area above the kitchen is foul and not sure it's been cleaned in a long time, there was something resembling rat droppings on the floor. Continental breakfast included was pretty poor effort it was white bread or cornflakes. Bathrooms were average at best and not sure the showers get cleaned to much. The bathroom looks nothing like the photos on their website. You can't have a warm shower as the water temperature constantly changes from warm at best to completely freezing and the pressure is really inconsistent, the floor gets super slippery, I slipped and fell in there one evening. I've paid less and stayed at nicer backpackers in the past in lots of different places

- shel (4/5): My bed was taken by other people so I didn't sleep - The rooms were dirty, the other room mates took over any bed they wanted so I didn't sleep. I put my bag in a secured locker and paid for it and the next day it was moved to a different locker. You just don't know who touches your stuff.

Its good experince meeting alot of easy going people from all around the world. The rooftop is veery big and amazing The staff were very helpfull and they were happy help me booking trasport to airport Room service came every day to clean The location is amazing close to every thing in the CBD. Overall I recomend this place for backpackers and people who want to met travelers and lestin to thir stories about seeing the world. Love it and I will come back again Thanks for every one
- james (2/5): Worst hostel I've ever been to - I had problems every day. I went to do a training course and i wasnt able to access my belongings for 24 hours, which included the things i needed for the course. I didn't sleep the last night because i had to leave early for my flight and i was still trying to get them to access my belongings at 2am. The staff were rude and lazy. The entire experience was a nightmare

- R (6/5): location excellent close to Elizabeth st trams. - walk in foyer nice and clean and very big area, comfortable. Booking in ok have you're ID ready. 4 floors with an escalator plus a roof top area very spacious too with BBQ facilities. Experience ok. 4 bed dorm ok when you stay for a short time you generally get to sleep on the top bunk. And mind out for the long term stayers they generally don't have much room for their belongings. kitchen good. nice breakfast ect
- Verified traveler (4/5): Damp and unhelpful - The first couple of days were fine, although there was an odd smell in the room and couldn't figure out why or where it was coming from. Then it rained and found out there was a massive leak coming from the roof and the smell was the room being damp. Other occupants of the room complained so the staff supplied a bucket (as apparently that fixes the issue). Everyone started to become ill because of the dampness in the room and we only got anything done about it when on the same day, we all requested to change rooms. However the room some of us were set to move to had the same problem, so we decided to stay where we were. Surprisingly.. a helpful member of staff then came up to the room to tell us we were all moving to a completely different floor! But that didn't last long as then received a notification that we needed to move back up to the top floor - thankfully I was checking out anyway!
- Lianne (2/5): Run - Horrible. The location is good and that's about it. You need key cards to get into the room and bathroom, but if you put it next to any electronics (your phone) it wipes the memory off it and stops working. Not that they tell you that until after it happens. The girl in my room was locked out from 5am-7am. You can't get your deposit back without having your name on the paper on your bed, but the cleaners take them when they come in. You have to pay for wifi as well, I've never seen that anywhere else. All of the lockers except one were broken.
