- Steinar (10/5): Truly fantastic - Fantastic location for the likes of us who like a great view, great atmosphere, relaxed (in a positive meaning) service, historic building and interior, fantastic restoration and so on. And all this for less than 100 Euro a night for a double room with breakfast. My wife and I have been travelling quite a lot for about 45 years, and this hotel is probably the most positive surprise we have had during all these years! The only bad thing was that we had booked only one night! Highly recommended!
- Kåre (10/5): Nydelig utsikt - vakre rom - Castello di Mammoli var ett kjempeflott anlegg i fjellene utenfor Lucca. Huset ligger noen hundre meter fra resepsjonen hvor frokost serveres. Det er nydelig utsikt fra bassengområdet og rommene er smakfullt innredet. Det er en kort 10-15 minutts vei til gamlebyen som er vel verdt å besøke.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Una ubicación en las afueras de Lucca con una linda vista. La construcción es unica y da la sensacion de estar dentro de un momasterio con las comodidades de un hotel. Se debe ir en carro dado que el centro historico de Lucca queda a unos 13 min desde el hotel.
- Martin (8/5): We ended up at Villa Volpi - We have to start out by saying Castello Di Mammoli is a part of Villa Volpi. When we arrived at the hotel there was noone and only a phone number dispalyed at the door. After a quick phone call, we were picked up by the receptionist of Villa Vopli and led to Villa Volpi. With this said, we had a little shocking start of our stay, but all was good afterall. The hotel is well made, nice pool and facilities. The bathroom can use some extra cleaning. The aircon was dripping in the room, which was a little funny. We passed the message at checkout and the staff would look into it. The breakfast is ok, nicely located outside with a great view. The dinner is rather poor and pricy. If you are staying there for a few nights, try it out once and then move on to the city for dinner.

- Morten (10/5): Fantastisk beliggenhet!!! - Fantastisk hotell i åsene 15 minutter med bil fra Lucca. Flott basseng område, flott service og hyggelig betjening. Fine rom med gode senger. Rent og ryddig på hele hotellet. Frokost og lunsj som forventet, men middagen kunne vært bedre. Dette hotellet kan anbefales for noen avslappende og rolige feriedager. Vi reiser gjerne tilbake.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Ruhiger Ort zum Entspannen - Wer dorthin geht benötigt unbedingt ein Auto. Im Hotel selber gibt es wenig Aktivitätsmöglichkeiten und deshalb ist es wohl wichtig, dass man die Umgebung (Pisa, Florenz, Lucca, etc.) auskundschaftet. Der Service war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit aber es kann einem schon etwas langweilig werden, da es kein Angebot gibt und der Pool relativ klein ist. Von der Atmosphäre wäre es sicherlich auch ein idealer Tagungsort. Kleiner aber wichtiger Kritikpunkt ist die schwache Qualität des WLAN - hier muss unbedingt nachgebessert werden!
- Verified traveler (8/5): Uriges Hotel mit toller Aussicht - Wir waren in der Villa Volpi, die etwas oberhalb des Haupthauses liegt. Das Zimmer war sehr geräumig, gut ausgestattet und hatte eine unglaublich schöne Aussicht. Sehr nettes Personal, die Klimaanlage sehr gut und die Sauberkeit war OK. Es war nicht alles perfekt, aber sehr authentisch. Das hauseigene Restaurant war nicht schlecht, aber da es nur ein Menü jeweils gab, dass dann auch viel zu umfangreich war, haben wir es nur einmal genutzt. Keine 5 Sterne weil: - das Zimmer sehr hellhörig war, man konnte die Dialoge nebenan mitverfolgen. - das Frühstück sehr fleischlastig war, kein Käse, kein Vollkorn-Brot oder ähnliches. Auf den Kaffee musste man manchmal warten. - man immer mehrere Versuche brauchte, um den Tresor zu schließen.

- Verified traveler (2/5): Enttäuschung - Wir wurden in einem anderen Hotel untergebracht. Ansonsten hätten wir jeden Tag zum Pool mit dem Auto fahren müssen. Die Zimmer waren veraltet und es roch muffig. Das Frühstück war mit Abstand das schlechteste was ich in einem Hotel je bekommen habe.

- Eric (10/5): Lovely! Amazing! accomodating! Hard to locate - It was a bit misleading saying name was Castello Di Mammoli. It was across the valley from the actual castle and was very difficult to find. We went to actual castle and were by no manecs close to where we were staying. After the manager came and got us ( I highly reccommend calling for directions) We ended up in a very pleasant place with a very accommodating staff. Food was excellent at restaurant. Lovely pool. Unbelievable views! Chef gave my daughter a tour of the kitchen. I would stay here again. The initial hassle of finding the place was well worth it.
- Darren (10/5): Fantastic in every way! - What an amazing hotel. The 2 start rating was putting me off but when we arrived we were utterly shocked at the place, it is absolutely beautiful. The peaceful setting is wonderful, the staff really friendly, it has really nice air conditioned rooms, the pool is really nice and the restaurant served the best food we experienced in our tour of Italy - this is a hotel not to miss! It was that good we tried to stay another night but they were fully booked.

- Dianne (10/5): A gem. Shhh... Don't tell anyone. - This beautiful little hotel is perched up in the Tuscan mountains, the views are breathtaking! So peaceful. A great restaurant two mins away. A 10 min drive from Lucca's historic walled town. An experience, a wonderful one!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Wonderful hospitality with views! - This is a Tuscan classic with outstanding views back down the valley towards Lucca which is just 15 mins away. We were given accommodation in a separate building up the hill slightly. We loved the privacy and the views from our balcony.
- Eddy (6/5): nice environment but - It took us nearly two hours to find it...no signs nothing. The location is nice and very peacefull, surounded by hills pinetrees n vineries. The hotel is an old farmhouse renovated with love, but you can hear everh single step done in the house. I love open rooms, but the toilet should be at least a private place. It's funny to have the breakfast 2km away from the hotel in another part of the whole "hotel village"-but the breakfast has everything you wish at the hotel's restaurant. We had dinner there-it's expensive and good, but a but over the top.
