Pedro (8/5): - Quarto antigo, mas bem espaçoso. A internet wi-fi não funcionou no apartamento, mas pelo menos tinha sinal 4g. O café da manhã foi muito bom e a equipe é bem atenciosa. O único ponto ruim, foi que a recepção me indicou um guia pra Machu Picchu que foi muito caro, 75 dólares, e foi terrível. O hotel é excelente, mas deveria ter mais cuidado com os profissionais que indica.
Nicholas (9/5): Very comfortable rooms with decent breakfast buffet - The king size bed was incredible and had a balcony that opened up to the rio; I could hear the water rushing all day and loved that. Bathroom was huge and I loved my stay even though it was only for one night. While the quality of breakfast was fine, it was kind of a weird spread.

Ivana (4/5): - Das Abendessen im Restaurant und das freundliche Personal Das Hotel liegt direkt neben dem Fluss, d.h. es ist extrem laut auch bei geschlossenem Fenster. Ohne Ohrstöpsel war es wirklich unmöglich zu schlafen. Zudem ist es wegen der hohen Luftfeuchtigkeit schimmelig und die Fenster waren immer klatsch nass. Für eim 4 Sterne Hotel extrem schlecht. Das Bett war komisch positioniert, so dass man auf einer Seite gar nicht ran kam, weil es so nah am der Wand war. Hatten daher nur ein Nachttisch und nicht wie auf dem Bild. Platz hat es eigentlich genug, warum schiebt man es nicht ein bisschen zur Seite??

Gustavo (10/5): Falling Asleep to the Urubamba River - One of the best hotels in Aguas Calientes. The breakfast was excellent, the rooms were very comfortable, and we had a beautiful mountain and river view. Falling asleep to the sound of the Urubamba River was an amazing experience.

Los cristales y la habitación temblaban al pasar el tren. El ruido continuo del Río puede llegar a ser muy irritante si no estás acostumbrado a dormir tan cerca del Río. No pude descansar en toda la noche.

kbphotography85 (10/5): Great Stay! - We stayed here one night after our Inca Trail day hike. The hotel is located near the bus drop off from Machu Picchu and town. They have a free water filter which was nice to fill up our water bottles. The room was nice and spacious. We were on the 5th floor and didn't hear much street noise. The room had AC which was wonderful so I was able to get a nice night's sleep w/the noise and air. The shower had great water pressure. Breakfast was free and a buffet of eggs, toast, etc. We enjoyed our stay and if ever in town will stay here again.
Alan (8/5): - Was just what we needed for a one night stay on a visit to see Machu Picchu. Great location for getting the early morning bus at 6am. We used a new bus company called Torontoy and there was virtually no queueing compared to the other one. The bus stop was only a 2 minute walk from the hotel. Breakfast from 5am was also helpful and made the whole visit more enjoyable as we had read horror stories about queuing.

JMF_Traveller (9/5): Gute Wahl in diesem überteuerten Ort, ideal für Besuch des Machu Picchu - Schönes Zimmer direkt zum Fluss hin! Das Rauschen des Flusses ist deutlich hörbar und hat uns sofort in den Schlaf gewogen. Grosszügiges Zimmer und auch Badezimmer. Ich denke, in dieser Preiskategorie (guter Standard, aber nicht überteuerter Luxus) wohl die beste Wahl im Ort. Anderswo hat es viel Lärm durch Restaurants und Nachtschwärmer. Alles ist im Ort gut zu Fuss erreichbar. Der Bus zum Machu Picchu (Firma Torontoy) startet gleich unterhalt des Hotels. Ein Teppich im Zimmer ist bei dem feuchten Klima (und schlecht abgedichteten Fenstern) nicht ideal. Im Prinzip war aber alles korrekt und sauber. Der Empfang verlief nicht optimal: Bei einer bar bezahlten Rechnung von $ 470.04 hat der Mitarbeiter insistiert, auch die 4 Cents einzukassieren... sehr kleinlich! Später hat er sich dann dafür entschuldigt. Aguas Calientes ist nun mal überteuert, für 1 Nacht haben wir fast gleich viel bezahlt wie für 4 Nächte in Cusco... Dieses Hotel macht da keine Ausnahme. Deshalb würde ich auch nicht mehr als eine Nacht in dem Ort bleiben.

SHAILAJA (10/5): I stayed there for one night and checked out early at 6 a.m. Although breakfast was included, I didn’t have the chance t - It’s quiet good place to stay. And right in the main centre. Staff were very courteous and welcoming. There was a slight dampness in the room, accompanied by a musty smell.

meganlV4565XC (10/5): Great base camp for our Machu Picchu adventure - Stayed in the Superior suite, was met at the train station so there was no confusion or difficulty with bags. We didn't have a guide yet for Machu Picchu but Pepe was able to arrange an excellent guide named Jorge. He spoke great English and was very knowledgeable and fun. The gitel was able to recommend good spots for dinner to let us try Peruvian food we had heard about. The room had a great view, and the sound of the river will knock you out after a long day.

Friendly and welcoming staff, from the first hello until the good bye at the train station. Yes, you read it right, Dietmar, the bellboy, helped us to take our luggage back and forth from the train station to the hotel. Always with a smile and ready to help.

They can also keep your luggage while you visit Machu Picchu and deliver them directly at the entrance of the train station Room was smelling old tobacco despite it is a non-smoking hotel. We have immediately been offered another room which was free from tobacco. Good because I am literally allergic to some cigarettes brands (medical issue)

SLTrips (10/5): Perfect place to stay before or after visiting Machu Picchu - My husband and I stayed one night at Tierra Viva Machu Picchu in Aguas Calientes. It is a perfect place to stay before or after visiting Machu Picchu. Our Superior Matrimonial room faces the street with a great view. The room was very spacious with a sitting area and a large bathroom. It was clean and the bed was comfortable. The hotel is in a less busy part of Aguas Calientes, near the river while being just a very short walk from the train station and the bus stop to Machu Picchu. The staff were exceptionally helpful. A staff member met us at the train station, loaded our bags on his cart and told us he would take our bags to the hotel. Since we still had over an hour before check in, we walked around. When we got to the hotel, our room was ready and our bags were there. The breakfast offered plenty of variety and what we tried was delicious. If you are planning a trip to Machu Picchu, this hotel offers a high-quality experience.

Gil (9/5): Great place in a convenient location, close to the bus station to Machu Picchu, and excellent value for money. - We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The rooms were clean and well-maintained, and the staff were exceptionally kind and attentive. One of us wasn’t feeling well during the stay, and the team did everything they could to help, which we truly appreciated. Breakfast was good, with a wide variety of options. We highly recommend booking a room with a balcony, the view was beautiful. The wifi in the rooms could be improved, as the signal was sometimes a bit weak.
Sandhya (10/5): - The hotel is conveniently located, 5-8 minute walk from the train station and a bellboy met us at the train station with a wagon to carry luggage. Our room was overlooking the river, and was the perfect size for 2 adults and 2 kids. The buffet breakfast starts early worked out great with several options already in the buffet and a few more customized options like omelette, fried eggs, pancakes, waffles etc. we checked out that morning after breakfast and they stored our bags, while we were away for the day. Our train back wasn’t until later that afternoon and we were able to return to the hotel and wait at the lobby. Overall great stay!

Location is excellent ( bus company to MP is just a few meters away). The restaurants / train station 5 min walk. The property could use some renovation. In the mornings, the windows were covered in condensation. Breakfast was disappointing, with limited options and only average quality. The cappuccino costs extra, and it’s not worth the additional charge.

The rooms are beautiful and extremely clean. The shower is wonderful. The breakfast is delicious and beautiful. I would recommend to anyone to stay here! I will definitely stay here again if/when I come back to Machu Picchu Pueblo! Thank you!

Хорошей горячей воды, которая не заканчивается! Это лучшее спа после трекинга. Не нужно ходить в термальные воды (мы ходили, нам там вообще не понравилось), просто останьтесь в отеле, и насладитесь удобной кроватью и шумом Урубамбы. Река прямо у отеля и она впечатляет. Очень впечатляет. Мы были в середине марта и Урубамба казалась прям Ниагарским водопадом! В номере отличный сервис. Оставляют каждый день две бутылки воды, также есть на рецепшине фильтр для наполнения бутылок и чай круглосуточно. Хороший завтрак. Отель в 5 минутах ходьбы от вокзала, но нас все равно встретили на вокзале и на специальной телеге довезли наши вещи. Рядом много хороших ресторанов! Вдоль реки, с прекрасным видом и нормальными ценами (дешевле, чем в Куско) и очень вкусно. Персонал приветливый.на все вопросы отвечают, дают рекомендации. В общем мы очень довольны выбором отеля! Очень! И сам Агуас Кальентес оказался милым городком среди прекрасных гор.

Breakfast is nice, but above all is the staff great. There are no problems only solutions. The great support to make your once in a lifetime visit to Machu Picchu is amazing. Picking you up, helping buying the correct tickets, keeping luggage, even bringing luggage to the train in case you get tight in time. There is an endless water supply. The team is great! Bathroom is a bit simple, shower not super warm

elisedQ3136YF (10/5): Highly recommend for stellar views and friendly staff! - The room and the view were spectacular! The raging river put us to sleep every night. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The room attendants did a lovely job making up the room and we had left money that had fallen on the ground and they just put it on the dressing table which showed how honest and reliable they were. Just like the city the hotel was extremely clean and well maintained! We would definitely be back. Jose at the front desk was a stand out always remembering us and making good recommendations.

Rose (6/5): Fair - It was in a great location to train station, busses to Machu Picchu and to restaurants. Some of the rooms offer great views of the mountains and river. The hotel is very basic. The check in staff were incompetent and unprofessional. We chose the pay at the hotel option. We booked the hotel in Canadian funds. They charged us in US funds (not sure why) at the hotel. We paid in Peruvian money, the US rate. As a result, the total was more than expected. An hour later the hotel indicated that we owed them more money as they made an error in the calculation. Totally unacceptable and unprofessional. It seemed very suspicious.
