Rooms are spacious and equipped with all amenities and all staff very nice and professional. Breakfast very good, with variety of fresh and tasty dishes, buffet dinner as well. It was really a nice stay!

I was in the 9 flow had not heard any noises from outside. But rooms smell a bit from mold (uvundo). They should at least let Dry air circulation to prevent rooms to smell, because autside air is very humid in Dar ES Salaam.

- Robert (10/5): A very good Tanzanian hotel - A very good 'Tanzanian' hotel with branches in Dar es Salaam and in the far south of the country at Mtwara. Unlike other big hotels catering for tourists from outside Tanzania, this is not part of a multi-national chain. The staff are welcoming and efficient and there is a choice of room categories. A wide 'local' selection at the buffet breakfast is a satisfying start to your day. I have never before written a hotel review (although I have stayed in many) but with this I wanted to promote a hotel I have always been happy to stay in, and one that benefits the local economy more than most others.

- rahabk2018 (8/5): Great, comfortable hotel - This hotel is a gem in the middle of Dar. We were taken there by our airport driver as we were not too sure of the hotel we had previously booked. It turned out to be a delight. The rooms are huge, super clean and cosy. The bathroom was well stocked with all toiletries. Breakfast was good with sufficient variety. Staff are very friendly and attentive. The only annoyance was the mosque which was quite close to the hotel, and which would have otherwise been a nuisance early in the morning. However, i did not mind it much since I needed to get up early for the day's meetings anyway. We were able to get the accommodation at a discount, and I wish the hotel can review the prices appearing on online sites which may otherwise discourage prospective guests. Otherwise, I had a good experience and would not hesitate staying here the next time I'm in Dar.

It is located in the old business centre, full of narrow streets, mosques, and small stores. No fancy restaurants or tourist facilities here, though the big hotels such as Serena, are not far away. The rooms are spacious and well-appointed. Breakfast is nothing to write home about, but it's adequate. Unlike some reviewers, I found the staff in reception and throughout the hotel, to be universally excellent.

Despite having the confirmation code and booking #, the front office staff wouldn’t let us stay until we paid cash upfront. They reasoning was that Agoda has not been paying them on time. 1 hr of fighting and multiple phone calls to Agoda customer service to resolve the issue. I wouldn’t stay here, the business practises are shady
- Manish (8/5): Comfortable & convienient - Solo traveller on an extended holiday in Tanzania. First accomodation in Dar es Salaam. What i didnt know was thereare 2 Tiffany Diamond hotels in DAR! Taxi driver took me to the new one, which turned out not to be mine and tgen tookme to the correct one which is probaly about half a mile away. Nice big room though basic. Comfortable bed, AC worked and safe in room. Bathroom clean and shower powerful and hot. Breakfast was average, buffet station with the usual Service was very good, all staff very helpful and pleasant.
- fil0menar (2/5): 1 night stay - Arrived at the hotel with my 2 kids aged 8 and 11 after a fairly long flight from Dubai. Having our printed hotel voucher and mobile app voucher we were told there is no booking reservation, after waiting around half hour we asked what is happening? They were still trying to find our booking. I told them to contact the agent and gave them the emergency number, with that another half hour passed and had to ask again what was happening, was told the agent are not answering the phone! This was clearly a LIE as u ended up calling them myself and was told they would re submit the booking confirmation to the hotel. After just over 2 hours later of waiting at reception demanding to see the manager who did not show they still would not give us a room. In the end by this time 2&half hours later with 2 very tired kids I just paid on my card for the room. There was no apology from any of the staff they were rude non Curtis and I was appalled at the way we were treated I would strongly NOT Recommend this hotel to anyone there are plenty of other hotels to stay in Dar

- Ilya_Moscu (10/5): Perfect stay! - Clean spacious rooms, very caring and positive personnel even with rude clients. Eager to help you with everything, be it a sim-card or currency exchange or taxi, tasty buffet breakfast with a lot of delicious food: fruits, potatoes, bread, yogurt, beans and other vegetables. Checked in at night, the staff at the reception was very friendly and hospitable. On the street you can buy fruits, spices and everything you need just by walking round the neighborhood. A lot of very good Indian restaurants close by. A mosque is right opposite the hotel, but no inconvenience at all. A lot of security at the entrance. Bear in mind that Uber drivers will always ask you which Tiffany hotel you going to, since there are two of them close to each other, just tell them Indira Gandhi street. Would surely recommend it to anyone who wants to feel the city vibe.

- ShebiChey (10/5): Home Away from Home.....! - 5 years ago I checked in to Tiffany Diamond Hotel after a premature checkout from a hotel just in the next street. Little did i knew that i'm making a decision which will make my future visits so comfortable that i will almost not miss my home. Situated in the hustle and bustle of town everything is easily accessible from here. Rooms are very spacious and i can say amongst the most spacious rooms in all hotels in Dar Es Salaam. Staff will go beyond the usual to make your stay comfortable. I have ended up recommending the hotel to almost all my business colleagues and friends who have also ended up staying here more often then not. I usually stay around 20 days to 40 days during my annual trip and never do they disappoint me. Strongly recommend for business travellers and families.

- Ron009 (8/5): Excellent Choice in Dar es Salem - Stayed here one night prior to departure home for Australia. This is a very good hotel, with very comfortable rooms. Spacious with ample room to move , clean with tea/coffee making facilities. Towels, bathrobes, toiletries and tissues all provided. WiFi is excellent and works well in your room. The best we have experienced in all of Africa. Restaurant for this hotel is on the second floor and offers good quality food. a good menu to choose from. Perhaps the wait time is a little long for the meal to arrive. Breakfast was very good and presentation food excellent Great choice of both hot and cold and eggs cooked to your choice and on the spot. Reception is on the first floor/ restaurant on the second. Our room was on the eighth floor overlooking the street. Be mindful that the mosque a short distance away may wake you at 5.00am for their call to prayer
- MarionTanzania (10/5): Great hospitality - This hotel is in the heart of Dar and has great hospitality. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious with a nice bathroom and the shower is fantastic. The styling of the rooms is nice and everything is clean.

- Verified traveler (6/5): Don't Expect to Sleep Well - I was on a high floor but was still kept awake by street noise, even with ear phones over ear plugs. Poor construction--windows are flimsy and thin, sounding like they are wide open. AC was poor and then went out completely. On the positive side, staff was mostly great and helpful. Very good bathroom and well stocked. Room was also good for the price point. Overall, hotel felt like a slightly dated Western business chain hotel. I passed some cheaper alternatives in the area, and was happy I didn't choose any of those.
- Leslie (4/5): Good for a one night stop-over......maybe! - I'm writing this review at 4am because I was just woken up by a group of men having a violent fight on the fire escape just outside my room. It was so violent that I thought they were breaking into the room. I called the front desk and the lady said, "Oh, I'm sorry". Only after insisting, she sent up security. Only after it quieted down did I realise that our windows had been unlocked the whole time, left open by the hotel staff. This was just the last straw in a series of issues. Aircon did not work properly. It took almost half an hour to check in to an empty hotel. The restaurant tried to charge me $80US for a couple of beers and a mixed drink. It turned out they couldn't use a calculator and finally admitted it was $8US. Every conversation I had was a marathon of uncertainty. I was there for only 12 hours and I was in conversations with the staff for at least 2 hours. A taxi was booked through the front desk and a price was agreed, when the taxi came the price had changed upward by 50%, only after another discussion was the price honoured. Also the wifi was next to useless in the rooms. Having said all of this, I will admit there were some good features. Large room, good breakfast and most of the staff were very friendly and accommodating. As convenient as this hotel is, it is not cheap and I would never return.

- Julie (4/5): Raw edges and SO MUCH noise! - We arrived at Tiffany Diamond at 10 pm and went straight to our room as we needed to leave at 6 the next morning for our ferry. When we got upstairs to the eighth floor, we had to pass a quarantined room with a sign about pest control. Deciding to be positive we figured if they had a bed bug (or something) problem that was being treated it was better than not knowing or ignoring it. In our room, it was clear that they are trying hard. The room was HUGE and their were robes and slippers and other amenities that were surprising for a hotel in this price bracket. A great looking rainfall showerhead excited us, but didn't work. All of this was fine and since the room was clean and the towels luxurious (for real!) we would have been quite please. However, there was the volume issue! From the moment we opened the door until 11:54 pm there were unbelievably loud sermons being delivered at the mosque that the hotel overlooks. We literally inspected all of the windows to see if one was open because we could not believe how loud this was in our room. when it finally ended, we went to sleep, annoyed that our night had been cut so short. At 5 am, I was awakened by bleating goats. They sound like crying newborns in case you haven't had the pleasure. At 5:15 the call to prayer began and again the volume in our room was unbelievable. Luckily, we needed to wake up around then anyhow so we weren't even angry. This is a clean hotel and that's the best I can say for it.

- Guillermo (8/5): Deluxe room was awesome - We stayed in the deluxe room during a stopover in Dar and was much nicer than we expected. It does not even look like a hotel from the outside (reception is on the first floor), but it is really a good one. Quite and spacious room, good wifi, very good breakfast, very close to the ferry terminal (walking distance) in a nice neighbourhood with several interesting restaurants and small markets.
- Ann H (8/5): OK hotel for a short stopover - I stayed one night waiting for a connecting flight. The hotel transport from/to the airport was punctual and good. The room was ok, and the restaurant fine.

I did have to wait over an hour and a half for room service when I was told it would take 20 minutes. The restaurant/food needs (on my second night only pasta and pizza were available from the menu) improvement to bring it up to the same standard as the rest of the hotel. Overall however I enjoyed my stay there.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Stinkt furchtbar im Bad!!! - Die Lage ist zwar zentral aber nicht optimal, weil es als Tourist draussen unmöglich ist, ungestörrt zu gehen. Alle mögliche Leute wollen ständig Geld, Essen oder einem gegen Kompesation in der Gegend 'begleiten'. Die Taxifahrer rufen auch mühelos nach den Touristen. Mir wurde ein Zimmer im höchsten Stock versprochen, war tatsächlich aber nur im 6. Stockwerk!!!
- Philip (6/5): Tiffany Diamon Hotel, Dar es Salaam - Comfortable spacious rooms but the hotel itself is rather dowdy and its neighbourhood comprises a warren of noisy; busy but narrow streets lined with small commercial/retail enterprises. Perfectly ok if you like that type of thing, but not for the faint hearted. I would probably choose the hotel again if I need to be based in the centre of town.
- Vera & Flo (6/5): Hotel zwischen Zentrum und Hafen - Aufenthalt Nov 2014 Unsere erste Übernachtung von 16 war in Dar es salaam und da wollten wir Klimaanlage. Die Erreichbarkeit der Fähre zu Fuß war uns wichtig und auch die Nähe zum Fischmarkt, zur Promenade und St. Josef`s Cathedrale. In der näheren Umgebung wurde auf der Straße gegrillt und Naan Brot gebacken. Das es auf den Straßen schmutzig ist muss man in Afrika so hinnehmen. Das Hotelpersonal war Hilfsbereit, Freundlich und immer da.

- Laura (4/5): Has some serious management issues - The description of this hotel is not accurate. I brought this to the attention of the hotel manager while I stayed there and now, over 1 month later, the description is still incorrect. You will notice that the room descriptions say there is a microwave on request. There is NOT. I tried to get one and no one knew what I was even talking about. You will notice that all room descriptions say "washer/dryer". Actually, none of the rooms have washers or driers in them. When I asked the hotel staff about that, they said that the washer was the sink and the dryer was the hair drier! You will notice that the room descriptions also say, for the single room, that there is a second bathroom, designer toiletries, sleep number mattresses, jetted bathtub, separate tub and shower, free newspaper, day bed, separate living room, turn down service. ALL OF THAT IS FALSE AND HAS REMAINED FALSE OVER 1 MONTH AFTER I INFORMED MANAGEMENT ABOUT IT. In addition to that, the hotel destroyed some of my clothes when I paid them to wash the clothes. I had a very hard time getting management to even meet with me to discuss any of these issues. Also, the restaurant is pretty bad- most of the food i tried to order, I was told was unavailable, and the food i did have was not very good. The rooms are actually OK, but the fact that they are described so (knowingly) incorrectly does not seem acceptable to me.
- LM (4/5): Problems dealing with staff, esp booking/check out - OK hotel, but every time I tried to deal with staff about an issue, they seemed like it was over their heads and had a hard time dealing with things. For example, when I checked out, they wanted my credit card even though I had already paid in full on hotels.com. They also could not even locate my hotels.com booking when I checked in, and made me go to their business center and print out a copy to give to them. Similar issues with restaurant staff. The staff seem friendly enough, like they want to help, but they just don't know how to do their jobs. But the accommodations are decent.
- Pumuckl (4/5): What a shambles - The only good thing about this hotel is that it is within walking distance (5 min) to Zanzibar Ferry Terminal, where we had come from. Service was terrible. They told us we should stay in and have meals there as it was not safe to go out at any time. What rubbish! As we couldn't use our mobile phones and the 'free wifi' was useless, we asked the hotel reception to make a booking for us at a restaurant we knew. They refused to use the reception phone to make this booking for us. The lady then used her own mobile phone which made us feel bad - had we made an unreasonable request? The room was noisy, no sound proofing from the busy street below. The bathroom was disgusting. Sewage smell from the drain in the floor. The shower wouldn't drain, so it flooded but at least that stopped the smell for a while. Not expecting any improvement we didn't bother asking for a room change for one night. Breakfast was sparse but free. For a laugh we asked how much a taxi would cost to the airport: 68,000TZS! We used a taxi from the street: 30,000TZS and were very happy to get out of there.

My husband was a little skeptical as we were driving through the neighborhood but once we got inside he said, "you've picked another winner". The hotel is beautiful and staffed with friendly and helpful people. Our room was clean and comfortable. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
- Angry Experience (2/5): Arrogant Ignorant Front Desk Manager - 1. Double-Payment Inquiry: Like the previous guests encountering the same problem, they have no idea about any coming customers reserved by Hotel.com. According to my reservation record, I should get a queen bed. But they give me one room with two single beds. But I travel alone. 2. Arrogant and Ignorant: When I told them I used Hotel.com to prepaid the cost already, they want me to show them my payment record. Initially, they even hesitate to check up their booking history connected with Hotel com. I gave them the printed record for my protection sake, which I did so already in Taiwan after learning the sad and same story by the previous guest. Now I have to use it myself. They promised me that they will let me know it my prepayment is confirmed OK later. Before I checked out and paid them 3-time visits, I heard nothing from them. No Apology and show me Long Face. During my stay, one more guest living in the 5th floor also faced the similar problem, and I helped him to deal with the same group of the reception center people. What a terrible and unpleasant experience with this hotel and hotel.com. What's wrong with your recommendation and your connection with your allied hotel ? I will write down this story in every Taiwan tourist website and China tourist website about this. I still feel very very very angry and humiliated.

- James777 (8/5): Great Find - A fantastic hotel. The service, food and rooms were of a very high standard considering the price. From the outside, Tiffany Diamond doesn't look too good but inside, I could find no fault. The rooms were exceptionally clean and fairly spacious. The staff are exceedingly charming and accommodating.
- Leon (8/5): Convenient Excellent Hotel in the City - I booked it online and I had no idea how would I be able to re-orient myself in Dar es salaam from the airport but as soon as I took a cab from the airport to this hotel it was one big mystery solved. The room is clean, air conditioned and the location of the hotel is at the city centre of Dar. Internet did not work for me that day but mainly it was my laziness to learn the password, the fact that they have their kitchen open until very late it was great coz I could eat even at a later time
- Eve (8/5): Good value in a poor location - Tiffany offers great value in central DAR, however unless you want to stay close to the airport, Central DAR has nothing to offer except annoyance. Rooms are spotless, spacious and service was nickel. Downside was the mosque next door (got waken up at 4:30 am), and the poor internet connexion. Also, unless you love clubbing and go to bed early in the morning, pls make sure your room is on the 3 first floors. Food was very good and cheap. I strongly recommend this place, but Oyster Bay and around is a wiser choice for a stay in DAR

Disco can be noisy but if you stay on lower floors (was really ok). Also next to a mosque so remind the prayer and noise before sun set. But overall best choice by far in city centre
