Guest Reviews
- Kenneth (10/5): You must stay at this place!! - This place was the best. The location is magnificent. The views are amazing ! The food is delectable and the staff are the best. I will definitely stay here again and I will recommend this place to everyone! Theres absolutely nothing to dislike here.
- Louise (10/5): - This is a really nice hotel in a beautiful location. The views are amazing, especially from the pool area. The staff are all lovely and very friendly and the service was 10/10. You have to eat at the Lodge because there are no restaurants around but the food is very good. They have kayaks that you can use for free to go around the bay. This was a very relaxing few days within our trip and well worth it. Highly recommend.
- Peache Anne Octaviano (10/5): - The view from the restaurant and from our room amazing. I love the size of our room. The friendly and service oriented staff. The easy access to the Dive Resort and the free kayak. The pricing of the food. The over pricing of items in the restaurant. The pricing on the menu is not the same as the price one is paying.

- Mattia (10/5): - Service, breakfast, dinner…everything. The room
- Judith (9/5): Will stay again - The location
- PAWEL (9/5): - Wspaniała lokalizacja z pięknym widokiem (zwłaszcza z restauracji basenu). Obiekt położony na zboczu góry na dużym terenie. Monotonne i skromne śniadania. Trudny dojazd do hotelu - ostatni kilometr szutrową drogą z wystającymi kamieniami.
- Mircea (10/5): Beautiful place -
- Bev (9/5): We would highly recommend and would stay again but not eat dinners here - Fabulous location and views
Beautiful rim flow pool
Very peaceful and tranquil The food wasn’t up to the standard of the hotel and was expensive
- Kevin (10/5): Friendly and helpful staff, great location. -
Absolutes No-Go.

- Daniele (7/5): Totally isolated and overpriced - The property itself is very beautiful and is set on a lagoon with a stunning natural landscape. The staff are extremely kind, attentive, and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure a pleasant and comfortable stay.
The rooms are basic. Unfortunately, the hotel is located approximately one hour by car from Coron. The only way to reach Coron is by arranging a private vehicle through the hotel, at a cost of approximately €50 per trip and about one hour of driving each way. As a result, the property is effectively isolated, and any movement outside the hotel is highly inconvenient.
If guests wish to join island-hopping or other tours, there are only two alternatives. The first is to depart very early in the morning (around 7:00 a.m.), paying approximately €100 round trip and spending two hours in total traveling in an uncomfortable van. The second option is to book the tours directly through the hotel, which are priced at nearly three times the cost of equivalent tours available in Coron town.
Moreover, visiting any alternative locations independently is practically impossible. There are no beaches at walking distance and The lagoon directly below the hotel is not suitable for swimming, as it is located at the mouth of a river, resulting in poor water quality and an overall unpleasant swimming experience.
Last the only way to have a dinner is at the restaurant’s hotel that offer decent very overpriced food, but as said there are no alternatives.
- Arianna (9/5): - The view and the whole property was just amazing.
They offer a lot of activities
The infinity pool offers an amazing view
The spa was just great
The staff is very friendly and helpful I would have give a full 10 but unfortunately we found 3 cockroaches in the room during the night, probably because we were on a ground floor, however the staff was very efficient to help us sort it out even during the night
The bar closes at 10 pm so you can’t have any drinks or enjoy the pool side during the night
- Aiste (9/5): - Hotel with a very beautiful view of the bay and amazing sunsets. The area is very beautiful, well-kept. The staff is very nice, helpful, great massages in the spa. The food in the restaurant is also delicious, a varied menu. We couldn't swim in the sea because there were a lot of jellyfish and sea urchins in the water. The beach area is very small. Swimming is only possible in the pool.

- Adrian (8/5): - Excellent! BBL has an in-house PADI dive shop, which is very convenient and a great experience if you want to scuba dive Upmarket feel and premium product.
- RACHAEL (6/5): - The breakfast inclusion was very basic, we all ordered alternate options, the staff were lovely. The views amazing, just a little disappointed with the facilities considering the price we paid. Rooms a bit sterile, equipment and activities limited or broken. The restaurant food was disappointing no flavor basic menu, quite expensive compared to other resorts we visited. The location was beautiful, but the resort and rooms were very sterile not atmosphere. facilities run down or not working.
- Calfapietro (4/5): Gestione insufficiente - Colazione insufficiente La posizione
- Gregory (5/5): Nice Views But Overly Expensive and Very Restrictive Hotel - The hotel is located in fantastic, quiet and serene location of Coron. The infinity pool is undeniably beautiful, and offers wonderful views of the surrounding bay. The staff were very polite and attempted their best to answer questions when we had them. This hotel ultimately failed to meet our expectations, and I would recommend against staying here for a number of reasons:
-Our room's balcony and only door were located right at the main walking path of the hotel, offering little to no privacy while in our room unless we shut the blinds completely.
-The description said that the room offered great views of the sunrise, which were nonexistent. The view of the bay was also mostly blocked by trees and the main building.
-We had termites in one of our cabinets in our room, and upon asking to be moved to a different room, we were told they were completely booked and couldn't move us. Though they did spray and we didn't see termites during the rest of the trip, we felt this was an insufficient response.
-There were multiple windows throughout the room which didn't close fully, allowing insects, lizards, spiders, and other critters to come into our room with ease.
-The food was wildly overpriced for what was served, and then an additional 22% was added onto all food and drink for taxes/service charge, making things even more expensive.
-There were multiple instances where we were told many of the menu options for food and drink were unavailable. Though I understand things run out from time to time, for the price we are paying, we expected this to happen less.
-All tours offered by the hotel were incredibly expensive compared to other tours offered in Coron which we encountered. Additionally many of the tours have a 4 to 6 person minimum, making them even more expensive
-The pictures of the gym are very misleading compared to what is offered.
All in all, we were very disappointed with the Busuanga Bay Lodge. It is overly expensive for the food, rooms, and amenities offered, and many of the rules make it difficult to leave or explore the island without paying an exorbitant amount. Do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere.
- THOMAS (4/5): -
- Anna (8/5): Stu nning peaceful setting, high end but little soulless bc - Spectacular serene setting with beautiful views. Kayaks and paddle boards available (but our paddle board didn’t have a fin so was effectively useless!). Speed boat to take you to other nearby restaurants. The buffet breakfast was great! Lacks character. No umbrellas by the pool so if you are lucky enough to get sunshine , expect to be frazzled!
- Lynden (9/5): - Staff were fantastic and the kitchen team and waiting staff looked after our drinks and meals requirements to perfection Leaving
- Vera (7/5): Overall, we enjoyed our stay, the views are beautiful but got board due to lack of activities to do and lack of service. - We were greeted with song and welcome drink, the room was nice and the view fantastic, pool was clean. The spa facilities was very nice. I’d recommend this place for a short term stay. The location is rather isolated, with limited options of things to do. The hotel has it owns restaurant with the same menu each day, and one day we wanted dessert but they ran out of all options but one.
We were told we could paddle board or borrow canoes, however there was only 2 paddle boards and one was missing the fin. There was offers to do island hopping tours however as we where only 2 of us we needed a minimum of passengers to go or we’d have to pay for 4-6 people.
During our stay we also felt there was a shortage of staff or lack of attention to detail such as dishes being left in the corridor for 24 hours after room service or tables at breakfast not beeing wiped from the night before. Also felt there was a lack of communication from certain staff about the things to do.
- Anezka (10/5): - We love it! Everything was great - nice place with the nice view - of course from the pool and restaurant but also from our room - we had room with two doublebeds. Personal was very kind and helpfull. We enyoyed the breakfast and drinks.
- Dave (8/5): Amazing service. Wonderful staff! I would definitely stay here again :) - Beautiful location, views were amazing, the pool overlooked the sea view, with partial sunset views. The staff were incredible. Always smiling, always helpful! Not a single complaint :) My only complaints were the additional 20+% added onto every meal and drink, not including the included breakfasts. Spa services were packaged well, and priced about the same as other nice resorts, but I felt a little rushed during mine. It was a 2.5 hour service. My girlfriend’s was 3.5 hours! The couples beds were right in the front and in full view of the waiting area! If there were people waiting for a massage, they would be able to see all of our treatment… through the sheer curtains! I would’ve appreciated a more private and tranquil setting during my massage. The day tour was awesome, but I question the price. Seriously question the price. There were 4 of us on the tour, but wow it was almost as much as my entire stay! I guarantee I could have found a less expensive tour through any travel site, and then arranged a ride to its starting location. BUT! The tour was well done and the crew were awesome.
- MohamedElfatih (10/5): A Truly Marvelous Stay at Busuanga Bay Lodge - Our experience at Busuanga Bay Lodge was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was amazing and the staff made us feel genuinely welcome. Everyone was incredibly friendly, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile.
The guest relations team was outstanding—they checked on us regularly and made sure every detail of our stay was perfect.
The restaurant and food were excellent, offering delicious dishes with great service and a beautiful atmosphere.
Our room was spotlessly clean, comfortable, and well-maintained throughout our stay.
All in all, the service was truly amazing on every level.
The only thing to note is that the hotel is in a remote area, but it is a great place for divers, especially those planning to dive the wrecks, as it’s close to dive operators who focus mainly on wreck diving. Road up to the hotel is a bit rough.

- Anne-Jose (10/5): - Stunning location and views. Great location for diving.
- Vincent (9/5): Superb - beautiful location, infinity pool and private pool at our villa were lovely, food was excellent, staff were friendly & accommodating the beds could be more comfortable, we had to get rid of a couple roaches in our bathroom
- Jenny (9/5): Superb -
- Diana (9/5): Superb -
- Russell (9/5): Thoroughly enjoyed our stay with very friendly and accommodating staff - Breakfast was very nice and dinners were excellent
- James (10/5): - Fantastic and budget friendly. Rooms are great. Very clean and well equipped. Restaurant has a great menu and the chef is excellent. Infinity pool is to die for. You’re can be accessed from the report. The lodge is isolated, so be prepared to eat in the area or the hotel across the way!
- Lucie (8/5): Quiet and calm hotel for relax - quiet hotel, great swimming pool, spacious rooms with terrace nothing much to do in the area, no beach
- Lee (9/5): Superb - Jenny made the experience most amazing.
This was our second time staying there and meeting Jenny Cabanero.
- Munir (10/5): Exceptional - Rooms are clean and spacious. The meals are well prepared and large portions and the staff is very polite and at your assistance when needed.
The prices at the restaurant are not remarkably expensive, slightly higher than the local restaurants but not by much.
- Hans (9/5): Superb -
- Vlassis (10/5): Exceptional -
- Andreas (10/5): Great, relaxing stay. Recommend! - We had a wonderful stay here! As people mentioned, it’s a bit secluded, but we were ending our two week holiday, and it was a perfect place to just relax. The pool area is so nice and the staff are really friendly. Great location to dive! (Shout out to Gunther’s Dive Center! They pick you up at the dock and it’s a short 2 min speedboat ride to the center.) The spa was excellent! We had facials and a 2.5 hour body scrub and massage. We thought the food was great, and the staff went out of their way to make our stay special. Highly recommend! Everything was great. The gym could be updated, but if you’re a gym goer, you have enough to work with.
- Kavita (7/5): Peaceful - The views, the food, the room and overall cleanliness No free wifi. Poor coffee at breakfast. No proper first aid and overall staff was not well trained to take decisions
- Mackenzie (9/5): Relaxing - Busuanga Bay is amazing and should be considered over Coron City for sure. Since you are more remote, you need to consider you will likely have all meals at the hotel and they are a little pricey. The staff is kind always but the resort seems to upcharge tours, activities and food in our experience. That being said it was a luxurious feel and kind people so we don’t regret our choice of the Busuanga Bay Lodge at all.
- Philipp (9/5): Secluded and very nice hotel with amazing views from the Pavillon and pool area. Lovely staff - Beautifully situated with lovely views. But very remote, so there is nothing really around, which makes you a bit dependent on the overpriced but good food and drinks you get here.
We really enjoyed our stay! The staff are amazing and very friendly!
We really enjoyed the boat trip to Pass Island, highly recommended!
- Maria (10/5): Exceptional - Fantastic resort with the most stunning view and facilites! It blew our expectations. The staff went out of their to make our stay special. The most comfortable accomodation we've had in the Philippines by far.
- Matthew (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sergio (10/5): Exceptional -
- John (10/5): Fabulous lodges and rooms - Fabulous place. The staff are excellent. Pool is chilled which is needed. Pool towels provided. Happy hour 4-6. Great food. TV's in room has good selection of international channels including HBO. Well worth the money. Nothing. Its PERFECT.
- Jacquelyn (8/5): We had a lovely stay at Busuanga Bay Lodge. Note that it is quite far from Coron town but it’s nice to stay at this rela - You are warmly welcomed to the property by the kind staff. The views from the pool are great. Our room was dated but clean and comfortable. The food was ok, Filipino dishes were better than the western options. The laundry was super expensive.
- John (9/5): Superb - The staff was great. They were friendly, cheerful and very helpful. The food was good and this included Filipino offerings. The location is very beautiful and a short boat ride to diving and snorkeling. The pool was nice as well. It was very relaxing. The adjacent dive shop, Secret Explorers was very good with good equipment. It is a little far from Coron town where many excursions left from. but that was good for us.
- Kristopher (10/5): - Beautiful property and wonderful staff! Best I ever had and I have travelled a lot! Food was fairly good every night, could use a little more seasoning but was still delicious. The only thing missing would be some nightly entertainment. Thank you for the wonderful experience
- Isabelle (10/5): - Loved our stay here! The property is beautiful and the staff are fabulous! The rooms are spacious and clean. The food was delicious the pool & view can’t be beat! A perfect place for relaxing. Only thing is there is a lot of stairs on the property but they do have golf carts on the property that will pick you up on request
- Kaja (9/5): Superb - The location, the pool and the view is fantastic.
- Jerome (3/5): Not good at all for value - the view from the restaurant and pool area is wide opened and very nice.
For scuba divers you are closer to most of the ship wrecks than if you were staying in Coron (average 15min boat Vs 1h)
For fellow Freedivers, the Okikawa wreck is accessible by kayak (15min) and is between 12 to 25m deep, with a beautiful marine life and corals on it. practicing trickery advertisement at every level: room, transportation, activities, food…
Room: old structure and furniture (which does not show on Booking pictures).
No WiFi in the room, they make you pay internet modem on everyday basis if you want signal.
my room (301) was in the middle of the passage of every other rooms to access the lobby, restaurant, pool, etc. So I had to close the curtains of all windows and the main door to get a bit of privacy. So I could not enjoy my balcony. The sound insulation of the room was so bad, I could hear noisy people from the restaurant and also every word of the conversation of each people passing by my unit…no privacy and no correct view is a shame regarding the price of the room.
Transportation: they charge 2000PHP minimum (for 1 person), + 1000PHP per extra person, for a very old minivan transportation, whatever the destination (airport, coron city, or closer...).
renting a scooter (overpriced regarding the quality of the machine: a click 125cc with 20 000kms was around 1000pesos per day. And sometimes the scooter are not available)…
Breakfast: the buffet is minimalist and really cheap quality regarding the standing expected for such expensive hotel. There is no such buffet after 9:30am whereas they said until 10:30am. After 9:30am they just offer 2 eggs, 1 toast and cuts of unfresh fruits. Any tiny extra such as cappuccino is at your charge (and very expensive for value).
Activities: all activities proposed by the hotel are overpriced compared to what you can find on the internet
- Undral (10/5): - beatiful nature, stunning view and kind staff
- Quick (8/5): Nice place for a short break. -
- binyomin (10/5): - Great location , and property,
- Checa (10/5): Amazing stay. Would recommend - The isolation, front desk staff was very responsive . Loved the pool and the view of the main pavilion. Also quite isolated, nearby town is an hour drive. No WiFi in the rooms
- Solomon (7/5): Good -
- Marcelina (6/5): We were delayed nine hours to check into our room, one night the AC was out for a good eight hours, and the pool appeare - Beautiful surroundings. Same beautiful surroundings
- Benito (10/5): - Very relaxing place. No traffic noises. Away from crowds and lesser people
- Law (10/5): Exceptional - the view No wifi
- Matthew (9/5): Superb - Beautiful location near to world class diving! Gorgeous views over the bay.
- Roger (5/5): Busuanga Bay Lodge - The facilities have an excellent view and staff was friendly and good. The food was good and the mangoshake was excellent. The location is isolated, so you are dependent on the activities, so you are not getting bored.
The flexibility and cost for the activities are standards and difficult to change. Its mutch esyer and less cost at the port of Coron.
- Marcela (7/5): Good - Location Too far from Coron
- Dean (10/5): If you want quiet luxury with a jaw d ropping back ground come here. - I can not recommend BBL enough, the location and view is out of this world. The rooms are large, well maintained and super clean. All the food was great. The staff helped me in so many ways going the extra mile. Nothing worth mentioning.
- Saralsoft (10/5): Recommended Highly - The best room I have stayed in. At our entrance it says a BTS player stayed once. The hospitality of the place is exceptional and the view from the restaurant is exceptional. The food is good and staff is helpful. You can use their kayaks and paddle boats for free and we even had a staff member accompany us for free. We went to see a place wreck in a kayak. Loved the place. There was no wifi in the rooms but view was superb.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Nice but overpriced - Great place to relax but felt cramped as everything is centred around reception - the restaurant, the pool, the bar, the shop.
So people would be having a pre-dinner drink alongside someone in their swimsuit.
Nice food and good to have filipino food as an option.
Far too few sun loungers by the pool. Even if people spend the day away from the hotel, they want to be able to relax in the evening and this was difficult
Rooms were clean and comfortable but infested with large biting Ants. For the price paid for the room this was not acceptable.
There was a huge gap between the wall and the window frame allowing Ants into the room
Nice bit very very overpriced
- Jerod (10/5): - Our family loved our stay at Busuanga Bay Lodge! They provided personalized, detailed service from beginning to end. I was able to arrange for airport pick-up with a single WhatsApp message, and our friendly driver was waiting for us even with a delayed flight.
AJ the GM introduced himself on day 1 and checked in on our family to ensure our needs were met.
The food was amazing in quality with a wide selection…before arrival, I was worried we might be bored with the menu since there is only one restaurant on property. But we loved every meal and had so many options!
The front desk arranged a full day snorkel and swim for my family of 4 with a convenient pick-up at our hotel pier with a private guide. At the same time, they arranged for a perfect 4-hr boat sightseeing afternoon tour for my elderly parents. It was a wonderful day for all!
We loved our stay, and this property is a gem. It really beats the crowdedness of Coron, still with all the amenities you look for when planning a Palawan getaway. Thank you to AJ and his amazing staff! We will tell all our friends to stay at BBL! Happy new year.
- Camille (10/5): Exceptional - View, staff are THE BEST!!!
- Sarah (10/5): - As others have noted, this is a lovely gem of a lodge. We wanted a nice place with scuba diving options, and a celebration on site for Christmas, and this fit the bill for all three. They have a great dive shop, and we dove to the nearby wrecks every day, then relaxed in their stunning infinity pool every afternoon and evening.
They were great with our airport transfer, and I especially appreciated their help with transport to our next hotel in Coron. Nicha was especially exceptional, we appreciated her help and expertise every time we asked for something.
- Alison (10/5): - This was an incredible experience! We took full advantage of the property, from the spa to the restaurant and pool, and every tour available. The lodge was very clean and accommodating and we loved every staff person we had the honor of meeting. Highly professional staff and great location on the island. We highly recommend to those visiting Coron and Busuanga!
- Leo (8/5): Great place to stay when you want to go diving for a couple of days. - Absolutely stunning location, and the staff is really friendly. The dive shop is the best, that was the main reason we booked and it didn't disappoint, it is just great to that on property and there are some great dive locations less than 30min away with a banka. Also the infinity pool is great, exactly like the pictures and it is fun to have a drink by the pool in the evening. The property offers a lot of activities and staff is very helpful to arrange them for you. We were staying in the waterfront rooms and those were great, very spacious and clean with a great shower. We also enjoyed a great massage. All in all I would say a great stay for 3 to 4 nights. We thought not all the things on the menu were that good so I hope they work on that, also staff could use a little more training especially in the restaurant. Paddle boards were old and lacking fins, so I hope they will upgrade so they are really enjoyable. When tours booked through the hotel make sure you bring your own snacks and drinks, or pre-order with the tour because nothing is included. There is nothing around the resort and you need to arrange transportation to go anywhere which was when done by the lodge very expensive. Actually everything the lodge offers is on the expensive side.
- Timo (10/5): Exceptional -
