• Sebastiaan (10/5): - We werden zeer hartelijk begroet door de eigenaar Lorenzo, deze man is super vriendelijk en enthousiast, hij doet er alles aan om te zorgen dat je niks te kort komt en je op je gemak voelt. We hebben 5 nachten verbleven bij deze agriturismo. De kamer was zeer netjes, ruim en schoon. Er is een mooi groot zwembad met duikplank voor de liefhebbers. Het uitzicht vanuit eigenlijk de gehele agriturismo zowel de kamer als zwembad en terras is adembenemend. Je kijkt uit over de vallei en heb bij goed weer uitzicht op de kraters van de etna en de etna zelf natuurlijk. Het eten is ook erg lekker, we hebben pasta gegeten en antipasti, zeker een aanrader. Het ontbijt is ook zeer uitgebreid en divers en dat voor een zeer schappelijke prijs. Zeker een aanrader om te verblijven als je een rustige uitvalbasis wilt om onder andere de Etna tour te doen en Toarmina en omliggende stranden en natuur te bezoeken. Op korte afstand is ook een prachtige rivier met kleine watervallen, 5min rijden met de auto en 15 min lopen, zeker een aanrader ook. Dikke 5 sterren voor Lorenzo en zijn prachtige agriturismo.

Agriturismo naturalistico immerso nel territorio di Francavilla di Sicilia (ME), con tramonti mozzafiato, cielo stellato, vista spettacolare dell’ Etna in eruzione, aria pulita e a circa 30 minuti dalle Gole dell’Alcantara, da Randazzo, da Giardini Naxos, dalla funivia di Mazzaro’ per Taormina, dall’Isola Bella, da Letojanni, dà Forza d’Agro, dalla spiaggia libera di San Marco ( Calatabiano) e da Piano Provenzana! Gestito da Lorenzo: <>, avete presente? Basta chiedere e cerca di esaudire i desiderata con garbo e cordialità; trovate cibo tipico locale abbondante, buono e genuino. Accoglienza per coppie con cagnolini a seguito; in più, dopo aver fatto i numerosi tour consigliati, accoglienza in piscina con degustazioni. Ambiente sereno e adatto alle coppie e alle Famiglie. Prezzi onesti , considerato il territorio. Ottima esperienza, da replicare !

• Heidi Sprangers (8/5): - De vriendelijkheid van het personeel, het lekkere eten en het zwembad. De kamers werden iedere dag schoongemaakt. We misten wat faciliteiten op de kamer om bijvoorbeeld zelf koffie en thee te kunnen zetten

The location is perfect for those who want to explore the countryside while enjoying peaceful surroundings. The rooms were clean, cozy, and offered great views of the landscape. What stood out the most was the food — absolutely delicious and clearly homemade with fresh, local ingredients. Every meal felt like a true taste of Sicily. The hosts were warm and welcoming, always happy to share tips about the area or just have a friendly chat. If you're looking for a relaxing stay away from crowded tourist spots, Agriturismo Ghiritina is a perfect choice. I left feeling refreshed and well taken care of.

The property itself has immaculate 360 views of the surrounding hills, and the hosts were very welcoming The general upkeep of the property can be a little bit more maintained, but its amazing value for money and the rooms themselves are up to very good standards.

• Mario (6/5): - Considerato il periodo, posto molto isolato e buio, al limite del nulla. In estate deve essere sicuramente incantevole anche per il paesaggio attorno.
• Sonja (8/5): Nice of the road stay in homely environment - Lorenzo was very attentive and kind, we also had dinner which was very good with some local vine. The facilities are little out of date but otherwise functional.

• Stanislaw (10/5): Great facilities for a great price and atmosphere. - The property had everything you would ever need, the room was really comfortable with AC, the food was incredible as well as the host, the view of Etna volcano was beautiful, the pool was also a lovely bonus. Nothing :)

• Michael (7/5): Good view, decent food, poor property maintenance - Ghiritina's view of Mt Etna is very good. We stayed here for proximity to Castiglione di Sicilia (a piu bello borgo) and the agriturismo experience. The property is suffering maintenance neglect. It does not appear its hope to be a venue for large group activity (marriages, parties) panned out, although its dining room service and fare is good, and facilities are literally falling apart. We would have stayed one night had we not booked two. Of the ten agriturismo and bnb-type places we stayed over three weeks, we rate Ghiritina at the bottom. We were the only over-night guests.
