• Verified traveler (4/5): - We’ve stayed in this hotel about three times a year in the past ten years. Unfortunately it’s no longer the luxury boutique hotel it used to be. The location is excellent, central, right a few steps from Rothschild Blvd., with public parking (for a fee) in the area. The property and furniture would need a thorough renovation: torn armchairs, severely deteriorated wooden floor covered with a low-quality patch to hide the damages caused by wear and moisture (especially near the shower), the shower fixed roughly with tape to avoid leaks, peeling paint on balconies. But the worst aspect is cleanliness: black mold in the shower, a plastic straw tied to a tree branch that overhung a balcony, no cleaning service in the room during our stay (and we stayed four nights!): the receptionist told us their policy is now to clean the room only if guests are staying at least one week, just once mid-week. You can ask for clean towels, but still… no cleaning service in hotel rooms during your stay, seriously? Unacceptable. Also, the mini fridge has been removed. The receptionist is present only a few hours a day. Not worthy a three or four-star hotel.

• Olga (8/5): - I stayed at Alma Hotel for 4 days in late May 2023. Overall, my stay was good. I really liked an interesting 'boutique' atmosphere on this small hotel; a nice room with a comfortable temperature but without a noisy AC that I see in some old hotels in the USA (that is, in Alma, the room is air conditioned and a client is in control of the temperature but it seems to be a quieter technology); its friendly personnel (they answered all my questions about how to use a coffee machine, how to get to the beach, how to order taxi); and its central location - by the Rothschild Blvd with its hotels and restaurants, and only 30 min walking distance (I traveled by foot) to the scenic walkway by the beach and to the beach itself. One downside: The area around the hotel is very noisy because of multiple construction sites; this applies to many other areas of the city. Here, construction happened during night hours; so bring your earbuds when coming to Tel Aviv. Although Alma is not a place with a scenic view, it was comfortable and the central location made it perfect for my "sightseeing" purpose.

• Ofra (4/5): - An beautifully restored building from the 1920s in the center of Tel Aviv. The executive room was nicely decorated, but also noisy, dark and without sufficient lighting. The room had an espresso machine but an empty mini bar. There was no other facilities or amenities - no lobby, restaurant or a cafe. The rooms are cleaned only in the late afternoon. During my stay, they had a wedding with loud dance music and I basically had to wander out at 10pm to escape the noise after an exhausting day. Those conditions do not justify the high rates of the rooms.
• Tamar (6/5): Too expansive, very very noisy - Grate location, nice room, bad window isolation, very nosy from outside. Not so clean shower, TV doesn’t get the remote, cause it’s too high. The desk girl doesn’t speak Hebrew. There was a party in the garden of the hotel until very late, 23:30 only when we called the police the music was less load, then at 7:00 in the morning they started again. Very high potential for the place - very poor application of it !

• Verified traveler (2/5): - when i ordered the room as a gift to my mothers birthday' the hotel had a parking on site availability. this is one of the reason i booked that hotel. when i called the hotel the manager was laughing saying they sold the parking during covid and forgot to update this information. i asked her to help me find a parking located outside the hotel- she ignored my request after telling me she will help. didnt take any responsibility on the disinformation that led me to book the hotel in the first place. then she was giving lies on how i didnt understand its only wheelchair accesible parking, (my mothers BF is handicapped), than she said its says ''available'' parking so it doesnt mean we give it to you and so on and so on, so many excuses even though in the beginning she admitted they just sold it. disgusting out of norm behaviour of staff, would never book there again' and dont recommend you too either. breakfast was lame. just dont.

Room very comfortable - great bed. Powerful shower. Downfall is the road noise from outside that is pretty much non stop and did disturb my sleep. Outdoor rooftop bar was great!

• Verified traveler (2/5): DISGUSTING. FILTHY. And these guys are THIEVES. - This is literally the most unbelievable experience I had at a hotel. We booked a suite at this hotel and 15 minutes later showed up to check in. When we got to the room we realised our suite was not a suite but rather a regular room. It was dark and the lights didn't work, but once we managed to turn on some of the lights I was HORRIFIED by the disgusting filth that was EVERYWHERE in the room. There were unidentified liquids just spilt in places, thick layers of dust that have not been cleaned in MONTHS, a toilet cleaning brush that was used and filthy and covered in someone else's faeces, and the list goes on and on. Seeing as it was late and we needed a place to stay we called reception (one person who was too busy socialising at the bar than providing any service) who came up to our room, was equally disgusted, but said that housekeeping had all left home and there is nothing she can do until the following morning. She resentfully asked me "do you expect me to clean this?" - which I didn't. We immediately left the room, having not spent more than 10 minutes in it. The receptionist told us that a full refund will be issued promptly. 6 days later NO REFUND has been issued (this hotel charges £250 a night and we pre-paid for 3 nights!) - speaking to Hotels.com I am told the manager is un-contactable. This does not surprise me. I am going to dispute the charge with my credit card company. In the meantime I urge whoever is reading this - DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL!

Big, tasty breakfast, but only includes one hot drink - I ordered a second and was told I would have to pay (a bit tight) The rooms aren’t the quietist (I’m a light sleeper, but I found them ok) - on arrival you find a complimentary bottle of water and 3 little coffee capsules for the coffee machine. I stayed for 5 days and neither were replaced when consumed (would suggest that these are replaced if used when the rooms are addressed, daily) There is a lovely roof terrace, but unfortunately this was not open All in all, I was pleasantly surprised! The staff working there made it special (nothing was too much trouble ) - I would defiantly stay there again

• Ron (6/5): Ok’esh experiance - Ok’‘Esh experience overall. This was our second stay at the hotel (and the last). Came as two couples. The room air conditioner was very noisy. Some stains on the mattress..(no hard soap,ear cleaners...and other expected basic equipment). When we asked to go to the rooftop they couldn’t find the lighting switch, So we set in the dark which felt really silly. Location wise - perfect location (no parking) great restaurants near by.

• Brock (4/5): Disappointed - Two reasons we would recommend staying elsewhere. 1. The staff at check-in was was rude and either had something else really important to do or were totally inconsiderate. They double charged us tax, then allegedly couldn't reverse the charge without approval of some third person who never materialized. In addition, the responses to general questions like resuarants and even how to use the thermostat were obnoxious. Quite disappointed with how we we're treated. 2. Too much noise from the street.

Room was beautiful and loved having the small deck at night. Location was amazing could walk everywhere and felt very safe. Restaurant is being remodelled but breakfast coupon from hotel was for a cafe very close and food was amazing. Lots of locals eating there which is always a good sign. Only thing is was a bit noisy early in morning and high traffic times because you are in the heart of action. I would definitely stay here again

Good value for money. - We had a fantastic visit to Israel and this was achieved in part, through the help, efficiency and friendly approach that all the staff at the Alma offered us. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The rooms at the hotel are lovely. We appreciated the extremely comfortable bed and good quality of bedding. The blackout curtains were perfect for helping with a good nights sleep. Bathroom facilities were good with plenty of hot water whatever time of the day we needed it. Breakfast was very good - plenty of choice, generous, tasty and always served in an efficient and friendly manner, accommodating all that we needed. The rooftop terrace is a beautiful part of the hotel and even though the bar wasn't open for our stay this time we were welcomed to use it and have our own takeaway food and drinks there. This particularly suited us one evening after a very long day that didn't quite go to plan! We were helped numerous times during our stay by different reception staff. We were accommodated with towels packed for us to take to the beach, we were helped when we needed to speak to the car hire company, we were given great information regarding places to eat and drink and accommodated with a room in which to leave our luggage after check out. The manager of The Alma should be extremely pleased with the performance of the staff here. They really are a credit to themselves and the hotel. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to all the staff at The Alma.
• Christopher (6/5): wouldn't stay again due to street noise. - I wouldn't stay here again, but it was something that was fixable, it's entirely too noisy- the windows are completely inadequate and let all the noise in from the street next door, i had to move rooms because i couldn't sleep from the street noise - it's really bad - the staff is nice, the rooms are nice, but if you can't sleep because of the noise then it negates everything else.

• Arkadi (8/5): Boutique Hotel Rotschild Area - The hotel has a superb location and top top restaurant on site. The restaurant is one of the best places to dine but breakfast choice is also good. Another great advantage would be rooftop terrace which is lovely both during the day and in the eve. On the other hand the rooms that they call suites are not suits at all - these are just a bit bigger rooms. Do not expect any separate space - it would be a bed and bathroom - nothing more. Hotel staff downstairs is pretty sleepy and not really helpful. It always seemed that they are busy with something else and it was not easy to get any kind of assistance from them. But the hotel manager is sometimes on site and he is top. I suggest that you need to get something solved -talk directly to him and not waste time with the desk.

The room was big and comfortable. The bathroom was large, clean, nicely equipped and well designed. The hotel has a terrific outdoor roof lounge also.
• Thomas (10/5): Alma-zing - We had an amazing time at the Alma, perfect location for walking to the beach, Jaffa, markets etc. The staff were great, our room was lovely and the breakfast was delicious. Would highly recommend it if you're planning a trip to Tel Aviv. We plan to go back as there is still so much to see and do.
• Zvi (6/5): Bad street noise level - Street noise makes the place a bad choice. Soundproofing the windows could have made a big difference and at the price the place charges is upsetting. Garbage truck at the small hours of the night and nonstop street noise followed.

Only issue here (which actually was a pretty big one) was how loud the cars were at night driving and honking on the street outside. The hotel obviously can't change its location, but thin windows and people driving and honking horns all night is a bad combination.

Location was perfect for visiting all the neighborhoods in Tel Aviv - you could walk and be anywhere in 20 minutes. The design is eclectic and each room is individually decorated. They serve a modern but traditional Israeli breakfast, which was delicious. All in all, a great stay.

Staff could not have been more helpful or friendly. Excellent and copious breakfast. Air conditioning in our room didn't work for two of the three days of our stay. The hotel provided a fan, frequent updates, and offered alternative rooms as soon as they were available. I would stay here again

• Mike D (10/5): Stunning - We stayed at four hotels in Israel. This was number one. It really set the standard. The building is a solid converted apartment house-- but very well maintained. Our room on the ground floor had a private deck and outside our room we could access surrounded gardens. There was also a delightful roof deck to enjoy a drink in the late afternoon. The room was spacious, tastefully decorated and the mattress was first class. The mood lights were a little 'over the top; but fun nonetheless. The breakfast was incredible-- both in selection and quality. The staff prepared additional food or beverages to order with a smile. We 15 minutes from the beach, by foot 30 miutes from Jaff and 20 minutes from Dizengoff. We would definitely stay here again!

Only niggles were: (a) windows in room did not appear to be double-glazed, and street noise was an issue (less of a problem between midnight and 6am); and (b) desk and chair would perhaps not have been the best if a lot of laptop work had been required.
