- Aoife (7/5): It was fine for our first family stay - It was in a good location , handy to get from train station & walking distance from gorey town with shops . Good that the pool was in hotel & was free . The room was quite dated for a four star hotel , the door squeaked , the shower was so noisy , the bathroom door opened onto the toilet which was inconvenient , the bath was chipped and stained , the thermometer on the wall was hanging off by the wires . Found the activities quite expensive for being onsite and part of hotel + price of the room .

- katie (6/5): Affordable family break - Great range of activities for kids! The staff are great. Room was dirty, mould in the sink, otherwise a good sized room for the price. (Not sure if we were just un lucky with the room as other reviews all say the rooms are clean) The breakfast both mornings was cold and not edible. Breakfast service was poor. The other restaurants on site were nice.

- David (1/5): Worse hotel ever - The checkout Staff could not get drink orders right at Breakfast,lunch or dinner nowhere to go after 9pm as children not welcome in the bar in a family hotel that they charge so much money for and then to have a staff member tell me my child should be in bed for 9.30pm is a joke stayed in so many hotels in Ireland since 2021 with my son and always been able to sit in a resident bar till about 10 or 10.30 never an issue this is something they should advise you about when booking

Staff were lovely and a lovely simple touch was the water fountain outside the room to fill up our jugs in the room. We had the family suite and it was huge. - Wicklow Wanderer (7/5): Busy Hotel Stay - Great for Kids Under 5 - Great choice of food options for all the family. The coffee dock in reception is very handy. Kids enjoyed the cinema, games room and swimming pool...although it was very crowded. The reception and restaurant staff were very friendly and helpful. There was a mixup with our room booking. We were very excited to stay in a 'Den' suite with bunk beds. Unfortunately, this was given to another family and the kids were so disappointed. It was one of the reasons we had booked to stay in the Amber Springs. The standard family suites are not very exciting for kids. They could definitely be improved with more colour, lighting, teepees, artwork, games etc. My son ended up sleeping on a fold out camp bed which is unsuitable for any child over 5. The hotel was very busy due to the Santa experience being on and as a result the bar, restaurants and the pool were crammed with families. We were offered treats and wine for the mixup but the reality is the rooms are overpriced for what you get. Attention to detail is lacking.

Guy said he was bored all day then proceeded to tell us he’s closed but had to keep shop open until 530pm very disappointed kids as today was an orange weather warning and they didn’t get to use this after being promised by us having been let day before out side of this could not fault the place and will definitely be back

Staff from arrival to leaving were all friendly and helpful and accommodating. The room was stunning and the bed was comfortable Overall everything was fantastic but as a professional cleaner a few things caught my attention and attention to detail on cleaning bathrooms could be better. The wall around the toilet and the under of the toilet bowl were not cleaned.

- Isabel (10/5): Fourth stay, always a great time - It's perfect for families. The various activities make such a difference to the kids, it's always a great experience. The indoor play area is a huge hit, as is the pool, the archery, go-karting, and video game room. Each of the restaurants are lovely too, particularly liked the burgers in FBH and the wood fire pizzas in Farina. They seemed better value for money than the price of food in the main restaurant. Some areas could do with a little redecorating. But no real complaints, that's just being pedantic. It would also be nice to have a swimming togs dryer in the changing rooms, and maybe a few more family cubicles.

The nicest coffee and incredible breakfast. So much for kids to do but also such lovely interior and surroundings for adults. Kept well clean & staff always at hand to help. Amber springs is the perfect family friendly hotel for kids of all ages. Well done to manager Iver & his team for maintaining a truly fantastic set up

- FERNANDA (10/5): Truly a must for families with small kids - I was looking for a family friendly weekend getaway and Amber Springs came highly reccommended. It did not disappoint. My 1 year-old had a blast and me and my partner got to actually relax and not feel apologetic because of a crying baby in restaurants. Food was surprisingly good and all the staff was so friendly and nice. We also had a lot of fun doing archery. The train wasn't a hit, my little guy was too young to enjoy, but other kids (prob 3 to 5 yo) seemed to have fun. We'll definitely go back!
