Shaby rooms, kettle not working, AC froze me, Dripping water from shower, was mine and other team members experience. The fans > realize are put because they know ACs are a problem. Hablis guys, we came because we heard good about you, but sorry you need to reinvent.

- TamilAmerican (10/5): A true 5 star is not just in amenities - Hablis hotel always had a true old-classic charm, it used to be my favorite business stay near airport before the renovation started. Well it didn’t disappoint me this time around too. The location gets a 5 star of course being a stone-throw away from the airport and still reachable to the hustle and bustle of Chennai city. The rooms are airy and comfortable. Valet parking is easy. A car washing station would have definitely added to the value, but alas. The restaurant is nice and comfy with a reasonable buffet spread for the breakfast but something is missing there in the warmth. I had to insist and get my elite 10% discount from my elite Goibibo package for food but they refused to add beverages to it. My son had to vacate his pg hostel this time and we had loads of luggages. Executive Suneesh volunteered to help us to our room and that’s what you call a friendly touch. One that makes you forget all the other stuff and bring back your smile. And give them the 5 star that they truly earned

Have to mention the house keeping girl in 4th floor I stayed called Manisha very efficient and she knows the coustmer taste, but unfortunately in India it’s a culture senior guys or so called supervisors or managers like to boss around these young ones
The drawback of this hotel no swimming pool, no Spa which is a shame and also they have a beautiful Bar but no DJ nights
I think the bosses are only concerned about the business customers and not bothered about other coustmer who needs a relaxing time
Overall a very good hotel with lots of eating places around and commuting is very close and easy

- SINIANGH (10/5): Boutique hotel with boutique service and boutique experience. - Reservation was for one night on 7th June at this boutique hotel. This stay, like previous ones was very comfortable and the buffet breakfast was sumptuous. Deven checked me in in a jiffy. He was very efficient, professional and friendly. To top it he gave me the courtesy of an upgrade. Also met up with senior managers Prem Kumar and Ramesh who gave me a complimentary fruit platter. Both are gems of managers. Room was spacious, super clean with good solid decor. Buffet breakfast is at a gourmet level. All in all, it's a 10 out of ten.

The stay was a bit costly, food as always it was amazing. But this time the response from the backend or technical service was bit delayed we were informing them to come and check our tv from afternoon but they came only night by 8:30 pm so that was a sort of annoying for us. Room service was good immediate response from them. They found and handed over my missed charger these experiences were really nice. Overall it was a ok kinda experience.

- g10betrotter (8/5): Experience the hospitality - Our short stay in this hotel made us feel comfortable by the staff. Our journey to the hotel was not a smooth sailing. We requested to be picked up from the airport. After initial hiccups at the airport with the pickup car, the hotel has extended their hospitality and were apologetic of the driver's behaviour.
Ms. Janani in particular waived off our pickup and drop off charges to the airport. They said it was a courtesy from the hotel.
They offered us nice room which was spacious but it smell bit musty.
Breakfast and dinner was just awesome and the staff in the restaurant were always ready to help.

Overall the toilet didn’t have the feel of a 4 star hotel and it felt more like a 1 star hotel. Room otherwise was okay. Buffet breakfast overall good. Asked for cold milk for cereal few times and after 20 mins or so, gave up on cold milk. When someone opened the back door, I could see the entrance to kitchen and the door looked extremely dirty. I will not be staying at this hotel for sure.

The WiFi didn’t work when we arrived which made it impossible to get work done. The public areas of the hotel smelled like sewer especially the restrooms near the bar on L1 which were unbearable.
The staff tried to charge us an extra $1,100 per night on checkout after we prepaid for the room. We got into an argument with the manager over this who would not take the charge off. I had to call Expedia who was great and ended up crediting my account for the charge the hotel wanted to add onto my account. I would suggest you stay at a different hotel if you are in Chennai.

The guest service coordination is very poor,they check your patiencce threshold every time. Need to improve. The reception staffs are good and so is breakfast staff.
I was given a non smoking suite full of smoke in the bathroom and had to live with it.They always say that the room you have boooked is not available and hence we going to give you another room. The room they have provide was cheaper than I booked.

If you like peace and quiet, a room at the front of the hotel is not ideal and the lobby music, which is piped through the hotel hallways is annoying when you are trying to sleep.

My internet did not work when I first arrived.
On the day that I had to leave for the airport, the hotel missed my wake up call. I arrived at the hotel only 30 minutes before my flight and the airlines were nice enough to accommodate me.
I missed breakfast on my second day so they packed me a breakfast. I said that I was allergic to cheese and mayonnaise but they packed me a breakfast of a vegetable and mayonnaise sandwich.

- Arun (6/5): Good Facilities, Services not up to the mark - I have stayed in this hotel a couple of time before. The hotel, its location, Facility are top notch. However the food, service are yet not top notch and that's a concern.
For the first time I find a hotel not serving items on its menu. I had to change the food menu 3 times because they were not serving an item that was mentioned in the menu. The quality of the food too was not upto the mark and not palatable. Surely the hotel management needs to focus a bit more on the food. Otherwise it is a very good hotel.

- Sajeeth (2/5): Read all the review & PLEASE STAY AWAY from HABLIS - One of the worst stay .. I read many bad reviews but i always will not give much importance to review and will like to give a chance to the hotel but please please take the reviews seriously. The staff in this hotel are extremely bad. I travel a lot and I have never seen a worst hotel like this ever. Food is horrible. staff attitude is worse. They are not interested to work at all and many many like me had issue during bfast and were irritated with the service. Front desk is horrible. So Hotels.com please consider removing this hotel from your grouping and friends if you are willing to stay in a 2* hotel for a 4* price and get harassed by the staff go for it. If not STAY AWAY
