Guest Reviews
- Kristin (10/5): - Nice, clean room in prime location
- Julia (10/5): - Condo was great, cozy, and clean. Has access to the pool and hot tubs from back porch and has great Mountain View’s. The village had plenty of food, little expensive, but pretty good. Overall great place to stay and enjoy the mountain.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Perfectly fine apartment, but very dated and worn. Expected much better for the price paid.
- Kelly (10/5): Walk to Mountain, Nice Unit at Stratton Villag - The unit was perfect for our ski race weekend. Very accessible, underground parking included (ski boxes on top of SUVs will not fit - thankfully we left ours at home), really nice place with everything we needed!
- Jason (10/5): - Amazing! Cannot get a better location! So close to everything! Quick walk to village shops and slopes. Very clean. Lots more room than I was expecting for two big 17 year old boys and parents. Kids had their own bedroom, bathroom and storage area on main floor, adult had master suite with own bathroom upstairs. Plenty of room in kitchen and family room.
The only complaint is that hotels hot tubs and pool were over run with too many little kids.
- Doris (10/5): - Absolutely perfect !!! Will definitely be back
- Shawn (10/5): - We really enjoyed the property and unit! It was clean, in a great location to walk to the ski lift and shops/restaurants and we appreciated the parking garage.
- Roopaa (10/5): - Love love love..A.little town by itself.
Dining options can be better..when we.stayed they had an event and Grizzlies.was closed.our room was fully equipped ..see pics
- Alexander (10/5): - Very cute Vermont mountain retreat
- Tahira (10/5): - Was a great place to stay
- Nick (4/5): - Numerous carpet stains and wear patterns - it was quite disgusting actually and carpet felt sticky. The room also smelled grungy. Bathtub had mold around the edges.
The unit was not as pictured when we booked. Some of the cabinets were broken.
Overall, I would have expected a much cleaner and nicer room for the price. Way too expensive for what you get.
- Robert (4/5): - Beautiful spot for skiing but we stayed one night in autumn. Condo itself was good, but for the high price two things about housekeeping were unacceptable! At 10pm we discovered there was no spare toilette paper in the bathroom. And we found that the living room cable TV didn’t work. The contact info provided by Expedia was only for the reservation center, not answering after 5 pm. The welcome packet holder with keys had an insert about rules and such that I had carefully read not realize that tha cardboard holder had more information on it. The in room phone direct listed dozens of numbers for ski shop and restaurants but nothing about guest services, nor was there any marking on the phone about who to call. Only the bedroom tv worked - so we turned in earlier than we had wanted and i
Annoyed we were missing tv by the nice gas fireplace in living room. Not being sure what to do next I contacted Expedia but that had only the reservation phone number. Not sure what to do I decided to try dialing operator fully expecting the same result as the closed switchboard. Turned out that was the right thing to do. This should have been at the top of the phone card in the kitchen and marked on each phone! Wasted 2 hours trying to fiddle with remotes (no spare batteries) and a lot of worry about dealing without toilette paper. $$ and NOT acceptable. By 11:30 we could use the bathroom normally after a very unpleasant experience.
- Christine (10/5): - Very clean , very Nice staff too!
- Elizabeth (10/5): - A lot of light bulbs out and door to “balcony” wouldn’t lock and opened with the wind.
But, that didn’t change that our stay was a wonderful!!!! just little things that I dont Know that the owner may know without being told.
Loved the hot tub, fireplace, walk to restaurants and the base. We will definitely return, it was by far the best place we’ve stayed at!! We will be back for sure!
- Melissa (10/5): - Great location for hitting the slopes and apres ski.
- Robyn S. (4/5): No communication/ Hard checking in - I rent through Vrbo all the time bc it’s easy and usually less money then other rentals. Long trail where this condo is located has a great location. It’s super convenient!
This particular listing was impossible to communicate with the listing agent a third party. It was the day we were leaving and I had no idea how to check in. I didn’t receive any Instructions about key pick up processes of what to do. I was nervous and scrambling to figure it out. I had to cal Vrbo directly. Something I’ve never done. Eventually it was sorted out but after a lot of stress.
The condo was not the one pictured in the add. It didn’t have 2 baths like it said. There were long black hairs in pillows blankets sheets and on the kitchen floor.
- Meghan V. (8/5): Perfect location - This is a beautiful condo right at the end of the main strip. Great for my family of four. Cleaning service every day. However, it is owned my Stratton mountain and their was zero communication with them before the trip. I do not think that they check the VRBO message board at all. That got frustrating to the point that I thought my trip was canceled because no one had told me how to check in even 24hrs before.
- Erica (10/5): - Super convenient location. Spacious room. Book the 1 bedroom condo. Some people we met during our stay had the studio and said they wished they had gotten a one bedroom. It’s so nice to have a place to let your younger kids nap while your older kids are awake. Overall, the rooms are a little dated, but super clean with updated appliances and a fully stocked kitchen. The property is steps away from the village where all the restaurants/shops are. The ice skating is steps away as well. The mountain is a five minute walk through the village. Loved our time here and my 4 year old loved the magic carpets they had on their bunny slopes. Highly recommend this mountain.
- David F. (6/5): Nice enough - I reached out to the prop manager days before the stay and no one bothered to get back to me. It was upsetting.
- David (8/5): - Place was clean and nice little light on decor but good enjoyed our stay
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The property was beautiful. Well maintained and a nice place to walk around. The room was gorgeous, clean and comfortable. We were a little disappointed with the view from our room because when we booked it, the description said it was a “Mountain View” and showed a picture as if we had a slope side view. Our actual view was of the road and parking lot. We were on the ground floor so when we sat on our balcony, a tree was right up against our railing, leaving us with no view at all. We were also misled with another picture that showed an outdoor swimming area, which was actually a jacuzzi (not a pool) that was out of order. We would definitely stay here again, the staff was courteous, friendly and very helpful. The room was well decorated and very comfortable. We just felt misled by the photos we saw before booking.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - We appreciated that the property was very clean and quiet. Beautiful outdoor space. We didn’t know that there would be an additional fee to play tennis ($25 per person for fitness center), as it’s not stated anywhere obvious on the site. There is a small pool (didn’t seem to be heated as indicated) and two hot tubs nearby. The front-desk staff was great.
- David (10/5): Nice stay! - Condo was very clean and pleasant to stay in. Stratton Village area is quite fun. Could have been a bit clearer on the check in procedure.
- Colby S. (8/5): Stratton ski weekend. - Great location right by the mountain. Place was very clean and as advertised. Underground parking was a nice plus.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The beds in this place are absolutely horrible. You’re better off bringing a blow up mattress. The beds felt as if you’re laying in a rock and pillows so uncomfortable
I travel quite often and I have never had such horrible experience. Even a super 8 motel would beat the bed comfort. Truly disappointed
- Connor (8/5): Slightly overpriced - Clean and convenient location, but slightly overpriced. The pullout couch was very uncomfortable.
- Jackie (8/5): - Command tape on wall above tv. More detail needs to be paid to individual unit decorations. My friends unit next door, the tv in the bedroom didn’t work, there was no outdoor furniture on the deck, the light in the bathroom was out and the pilot in the fireplace was out.
- Renu (10/5): - Loved how close it is to the main village. Our condo was beautiful. So cozy and clean
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great location and amenities!
- Desiree C. (10/5): Great Location & Accomodations - Long Trail House was perfect. Right across from the heart of the village and comfortable accommodations!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Close proximity to the mountain which was nice. The units are nice but dated - but still very clean.
- Kevin (10/5): Long Meadow Stratton Skiing - It was fine, difficult to check in but nice place. Very convenient for skiing
- Joseph (10/5): Walk to lifts - Great
- Verified traveler (4/5): Decent hotel but terrible shower. - $700 per night including tax and the worst shower pressure i have ever experienced. We could barely get wet. Not acceptable at this price!
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Terrible due to mountain facilities closed due to a private event. Tour groups not staying at hotel used the hotel facilities to shower
- Flavia (10/5): Amazing hotel - I loved how clean it was and how comfortable it felt, almost as if I was home.
- Joefold (10/5): Great Place to spend 4th of July - We spend every 4th of July at the Long Trail House. The rooms are great view is better, Firework show is the best.
- Lisa (10/5): Great location - We were at Stratton Village for the 4th of July weekend. Proximity to the Village was terrific, just walk across the street and you were there.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Long Trail House - Great atmosphere, clean, well kept and comforting
- Brian (8/5): Great walk-to-lifts location - Good compromise on location - not ski in/ski out but a short walk to the lifts allowing us to come back for lunch during the day. The small Villager double is closest - from there you can ski over to the gondola and others to save some walking. Room and furniture had some wear and tear but overall clean and comfortable. We would stay there again.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Heating issues - The hotel was unbearably hot during our stay. The hall ways were well over 85 degrees and dress in full ski gear was very uncomfortable. We had to shut down our heat in the room and leave windows open just to stay comfortable. They need to get that fixed.
- Christopher R. (6/5): Great location but dated room. - I recently stayed at Long Trail House with my wife and 9 year old son and whilst the location was excellent, the apartment was not that great and definitely not worth the money I paid for it over Christmas. I understand the rooms are individually owned and probably all different, but my advice would be to make sure you stay clear of room 153 if your planning on using the sofa bed, which was extremely uncomfortable and to be honest pretty much unusable - my son did not have a good night sleep and trying it out for one night, I can understand why - I think the mattress is so old, far too thin or the bed is just bent and broken - not sure. I did report this so hopefully it will be looked at - it needs to be. The blinds were also broken, the fireplace did not work (despite 2 maintenance visits) and the décor generally pretty old. Can't beat the location though, being 5 minutes walk from the lifts. I would go back, but would insist I did not stay in this room again or splash out on a 2 bedroom room.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Nice parking and accessible to the lift. - The rooms carpet is smelly or some oily smell from the entire hotel. The fireplace is not really a warm functioning one but just decorating. No laundry or washer inside the apt, with the price paid, not quite decent for that cost.
- Renata (6/5): too expensive for what we got - Hut Tubs Jets were not working at all .... location was OK as it was close to the village, we also had a problem with parking under the building - once you find a spot - dont move your car because someone else will take your spot
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very convenient location. Great combination of hotel and condo living
- Verified traveler (6/5): right on the mountain - It was good. we went off-season, but it's right across the market (2 min walk) and 10min drive from manchester. Good place but not too much food variety around.
- EAC (8/5): Close to skiing and shopping! - The room was large and having a kitchenette was very convenient. The shower head could stand an updating and finding out where to check-in (a different property) proved a bit challenging but overall, a positive experience and one we would not hesitate to repeat.
- DeniseSK (10/5): Super convenient - across street from Village! - Long Trail House is directly across the street from the Village, their shops & best of all, ski slopes! Room was clean with kitchen, fireplace, underground parking & access to 2 outdoor hot tubs & outdoor pool. Kids enjoyed the heated pool! Will absolutely go back next time we're in Stratton.
- Scott Haselkorn (10/5): Short walk to lift - Hotel was great and the free indoor parking was an added bonus I was not expecting. I will be back again next season for sure.
- Mares Snowboarder (8/5): quick ski weekend - the 2 bedroom apartment we stayed in was very cozy and lovely. so close to the lift! perfect location and super comfortable for 2 couples. i would stay here again!!
