It is ideally situated, just far enough from the main street to ensure a peaceful environment, yet conveniently close to shops for easy access. Our room was exceptionally clean and featured a spacious bathroom. The breakfast offered a wide variety of options to suit different preferences. The balcony provided a tranquil atmosphere, with trees and birds creating a feeling that you’re not in the city. Additionally, the staff were consistently friendly, helpful, and approachable, enhancing the overall experience.
• BLUEMOOM (10/5): Loved this sweet hotel!!! - Loved staying here! The hotel is beautiful and a short walk to the West Gate in old Chiang Mai City. Breakfast is included and served in a lovely dining room. There is also a pool to enjoy. This is a great choice when in Chiang Mai!!! The decor is eclectic and beautiful with nice details throughout.
• teenmusafir (6/5): Boutique , Comfortable yet Lacking - Cleanliness , Room Size and upkeep . Bed Sheets & towels were changed daily . Rooms well kept . The front office staff is very efficient and helpful. Forgetting the name of a particular staff member who wore spectacles 👓. He was very sweet and efficient and always willing to help . He was a multi tasker . Helped out with our locker , helped in the breakfast when there was communication breakdown, immediately helped with drop off to airport when checking out etc etc . No dining or restaurant services , though they have a dedicated and beautiful facility of a dining hall . I think the breakfast was outsourced or on contract basis . Breakfast was cold and hot beverages cold too. Staff at Breakfast was non English speaking other than a Manager or two . No signs on food items to differentiate between Pork , Beef or Other Non vegetarian options. Literally not good for non vegetarians or people who avoid Pork & Beef . Caters more to Local or Chinese tourists. Hot beverages in a buffet breakfast limited to one cup of coffee. Moreover the food was cold and communication with breakfast serving staff was limited . During the day if you’re hungry you have to rely on grab or other food delivery apps . If the breakfast or restaurant service during the day were improved and available, i would definitely rate it 4 on 5 .
• Willowsinoz (10/5): A lovely place to stay in Chiang Mai - What a fantastic find! Tucked away on a back-street, well away from the main road, so nice and quiet. We had a lovely double room to the rear of the hotel. It's positioned almost exactly between the old town and Nimman, so an easy walk to both (10-15 mins). Buffet breakfasts were generous, and coffee can be made to order. All the staff were very helpful.WiFi worked well You walk past 'Friend Massage' on the way to the hotel, which is also recommended!

• Nouhou (10/5): - We loved the “boutique “ looking hotel. Staff were friendly. Breakfast is good but Ooe recommendation is for them to keep breakfast options actually hot or warm. After 30 minutes from start of breakfast many hot meals are cold and they don’t use the candles under the serving pots to keep food worm.

• Charbboon (8/5): Full of characters and superb services - I've stayed at "At Pingnakorn Nimman" before and loved the room, price and breakfast so this is my second time at one of my favorite's hotel group. The hotel is located in a small soi with no much nearby but still walkable to Nimman Road where all the shops are and hotel provide free shuttle service but I did not have a chance to use since I rent a car. The room is specious and decorations is over the top although a bit too much for my taste. Everything works well in the bathroom, strong hot water pressure. The staff is very friendly and serve us drinking water as soon as we sat down by the pool. They also switched room for us instantly when I told them about the noise from nearby restaurant. Wi-fi works well and breakfast is great variety with a touch of northern food. The only thing I don't like is the mattress which is too hard. If they put a topper of some kind it would be perfect. The TV is a bit small but not a big issue.

• Christelle (8/5): Petit palais thaïlandais à amélioré ! - Hotel assez bruyant. Pas d'isolation. Réveillez tôt le matin. On entend les gens (ou le personnel) qui parlent comme si ils étaient dans la chambre. Avions qui passent au dessus mais heureusement vers 22h30 23h c'est fini. La piscine n'est pas chauffée, elle sert juste de déco. Le petit déjeuner est copieux mais il n'y a que du salé. Faut avoir envie de manger des plats thaïlandais des le matin et tout est froid. On se serait contenté d'un peu de pain ou biscottes... Dommage car le cadre est très chaleureux.Un petit palais thaïlandais. La literie est correcte et les chambres très spacieuses.

• oubabangde (10/5): Nicest hotel near Nimman area - The room amenities, the lovely settings, the balcony, the nice curtain, desk, gym .... all perfect. Breakfast i wouldnt expect to be this good, but this is excellent. Only thing, i find a bit annoy is a frequent aircraft passed by during late evening but before midnight. However, the experience was great.

Several times I needed translation regarding items I wanted to buy and they were happy to write it down for me so the people at the markets could understand me. They also suggested how much I could offer the red shuttle drivers to get to where I needed to go. The food was DELICIOUS!!

• joco1964 (8/5): Beautiful room and breakfast - People with disabilities beware that not all branches of Pingnakorn have elevators. This one has. I had to be transferred from another branch and had to pay a supplement. There are positives and negatives about this hotel. The room was spacious and light with opening windows. The breakfast was excellent with a fare variety of Asian food, in a beautiful setting. The bathroom was great with a big bathtub and a separate rainshower. There was some smell coming up from the drains which was a bit unpleasant, specially being dry season, this should not happen. One thing I did not like was the synthetic linen in this hotel, I only like pure cotton and this was unpleasant for me. I am disappointed to know that there was a free service to the airport as I stayed 8 nights, no one told me and I took a regular Grab taxi. There is a free shuttle to Maya Shopping Mall, but you make your own way back. The staff were correct and they were helpful at the front desk. The music was a bit too loud early morning in the dinning room. And I was wakened at 4.30 am every morning by a very early riser rooster! The bins are collected at around 5 am and make a lot of noise, but hey! It’s Asia! Asia and noise go hand and hand. I would still recommend this hotel. Enjoy!

• Wanderer (8/5): Attractively designed and convenient location - Interior is attractive - every room is decorated differently, most of them look cosy and attractive (the style probably appeals mostly to ladies). Rooms on higher floors facing the forests are more tranquil. Rooms with balconies are located on alternate floors. Some Karaoke noise from a large restaurant nearby (in the direction of Furama hotel) at night so try to request for higher floors and further away from the restaurant if possible. Breakfast is fresh and tasty - focus heavily on Asian/Thai cuisine; less options for Western style breakfast. Breakfast can be taken either indoor (no air-conditioning; high ceiling and large windows in dining room helps to keep temperature down) or outdoor (tables around the pool) - generally, a very calm and relaxing environment. Breakfast hours (7.30 to 10.30 am) aren't too busy. Staff's service is good overall. Price range of room is fair. Location is in between Nimmanhaemin Road (about 12 minutes' walk) and old city (about 20 minutes' walk). Free car transport to the airport if you stay for 3 nights or more. Most of its clientele is Asian, with a handful of westerners. An enjoyable stay for me and highly recommended.
• TRNTBangkok (2/5): Smelly Bathroom pipe - Weird decoration. Don’t know what is the theme/style of the hotel. Rain Shower with low pressure and could not swithyback to regular shower head. The smell of the pipes were horrible. Bed was untidy and har mattress. Not a pleasant stay.
• ACuriousApe (8/5): Romantic! - (1) Location : Reading previous TA entries, I was initially worried over the distance from the main road to the hotel (far, dimly lit etc) but to my relief, it was totally ok. Path is in good condition, fairly well-lit at night and the surrounding feels safe (hotels, new private apartments and a Buddhist centre are found along the way to the hotel and the walk is only about 200 metres away from the main road. Once on the main road, two shopping malls, Maya Lifestyle (new) and Kad Suan Kaew (rather old) are within walking distance (about 10 mins’ walk). A taxi from the airport costs 150 baht. (2) Room : I stayed in a deluxe room with a small balcony which looks out to a lot of trees (and birds and squirrels!). The hotel and room are simply beautiful and looks exactly like what I saw on the website photos! If you like tranquility and being close to nature, this hotel is a good choice. Some (possibly cheaper) rooms however have views of concrete buildings or empty patch of land so choose your rooms wisely. The hotel owner has a good eye for design and personally, I think this hotel would appeal to ladies and young families due to the very feminine room interior (floral bedsheets, curtains and wallpapers, all in soft, pretty pastel shades in possibly, most of the rooms). The entire hotel feels very cosy and comfortable. One downside is the mattress which feels pretty hard – you might need time to get used to it : ) All the usual room amenities are provided in the room except for a safe which can be found/used at the reception counter. Cleanliness is fine overall (no annoying mosquitoes or ants!) but the grout along the bathtub tiles seriously needs a good scrub. (3) Services and amenities : You can borrow some used books and use the desktop computers at the lobby if you have time to kill. The pool side is also a very pleasant and breezy area to laze around (some daybeds near the small semi-shaded pool). Free shuttle services go to Maya Lifestyle mall throughout the day. Staff service is erratic, some good and some poor, depending on which staff you encounter. Most of the guests are either Thai or Chinese nationals and the breakfast buffet is clearly catered to these 2 main groups. The choices seem more like what you’ll eat during lunch than a typical breakfast (stir-fried vegetables and meat, deep fried chicken wings, rice, Thai desserts etc….) and most of the dishes are not kept warm other than the soup and porridge. Western choices are few : sunny-side eggs, salad, ham and bacon, toast and cereals. Surprisingly though, I find that almost all the dishes are very tasty and I actually enjoyed the food especially the delicious Khao Soi! And the coffee is excellent! The hotel restaurant is also open for lunch and dinner but you can easily find plenty of other restaurants - just 10 to 20 minutes’ walk away from the hotel. For its easy access to modern shopping malls and Nimmanhaemin road, quiet and pleasant location and room, and its affordable price, I will not hesitate to return.

• HPLIM (8/5): Hotel with a traditional look - The hotel is situated quite far from the night market. You need to take a tuk-tuk or taxi to visit the night market. There are tuk-tuks waiting outside the hotel. This hotel is quite an old hotel with a traditional fixtures and Chinese traditional furniture. But it is well maintained. The lobby is not very big but is well decorated. The front office staffs are friendly and polite. The room is not very big but clean. It is well equipped. The furniture is quite old. The wifi is free but is not reliable at all! The sound proof of the room is not very good. You could hear very clearly the aircrafts flying near the hotel. Surrounding the hotel are mostly hotels also. I didn’t see any convenient store or eatery near the hotel. There is a small swimming pool and a gymnasium at the second floor. Cafeteria is spacious. Breakfast is simple with not much variety of food, mostly of Thai cuisine. Clearing of table service is slow. Nevertheless we had a pleasant stay at this hotel.

• chanut (8/5): โรงแรมสวยมีเอกลักษณ์ มีอาหารเมือง ไม่ค่อยใส่ใจจะบร - จองห้องแบบ2เตียงเดี่ยว แต่ได้1เตียงใหญ่แทน พนักสอบถามว่าสะดวกมั้ยแต่ไม่มีห้อง2เตียงเดี่ยวเหลือแล้ว ก็ต้องสะดวกล่ะนะ อยากให้ทางโรงแรมถี่ถ้วนกว่านี้นะ ถ้าห้องหมดแจ้งเราก็ได้ เราต้องนอนโรงแรมนี้อยู่แล้ว แต่ดันมาบอกว่าเราไม่ได้ระบุมาตอนจองว่าเอาเตียงแยก แหมถ้าเราไม่ได้ระบุมาทางโรงแรมจะรีบพูดตั้งแต่แรกทำไมว่ามีแต่เตียงเดี่ยวนะเตียงแยกหมด พอขึ้นมาบนห้อง พบว่าเป็นห้องแบบคอนเนค ถึงประตูจะแยกคนละบานกับข้องข้างๆก็เถอะ ทางโรงแรมก็ควรแจ้งนิดนึงนะว่าห้องคอนเนค จะได้ไม่ต้องเปิด เกิดห้องใดห้องนึงลืมล็อคแล้วอีกห้องเปิดไปจะเป็นยังไง โดยรวมเราก็ยังชอบที่นี่อยู่นะ ชอบการตกแต่ง และอาหารเมืองเลยพักโรงแรมนี้ตลอดเวลามาเชียงใหม่ มากับแฟน กับครอบครัว กับเพื่อน ก็มาที่นี่ตลอด แต่รู้สึกว่าความใส่ใจในการบริการลดลงเรื่อยๆ ต่างจากตอนเปิดใหม่ๆมากเลย ไม่รู้ว่าเพราะเราเป็นคนไทยหรือเปล่าเลยได้ความใส่ใจน้อยกว่าแขกผู้เข้าพักชาติอื่นๆ หรือถ้าอยากได้บริการที่ดีต้องตามไปสาขาใหม่ริมน้ำ (โฆษณาให้เขาไปอี๊กกก)

• pinky2024 (10/5): Good room and good breakfast - This hotel is in a good location, not far from Nimmanhemin road but it's better if you have a car. The room is very wide, 1 king and 1 single bed in one room. The room and bathroom is very clean and beautiful decorations. Breakfast is very very best for good taste with international and northern food!! I love it!

• kinneryp (8/5): Beautiful hotel - Location: It's not too far from airport by taxi, it cost us 260b for 4 people. Transport back to DMK airport will be free for us since we 'stayed for a long time' (we will stay for just 3 nights!) It's about 20-25min walk to the centre of town. By tuk tuk or red songthaew (shared pick up truck) back to hotel, it's max 150b for 4 people depending on where in the square you are. Always bargain. Check in time is at 2pm but we arrived to CM at 11.30 ish and the room was already ready. We got a twin room for myself and brother and a double room for parents (see pics) Rooms include: Tv, free WiFi, A.C, fridge with complimentary water (beer and soda at extra cost), coffee making supplies, no safe though. Bathrooms include: Face, hand, body and foot towel, bathrobe ,slippers, earbuds, shower cap, shampoo, liquid soap and bar of soap Amenities: Gym, steam room and sauna (this was broken during our stay so no pictures) and a pool. Food: Breakfast included. Food is mostly Thai, great for meat eaters (noodles, rice, curry and various stir fry dishes), bit difficult for us to eat such rich food so early in the day. Not much selection for vegetarian/vegan besides cereal, toast,eggs and fruit. Did not eat dinner at this hotel. Pros: Polite helpful stuff, beautiful hotel with vintage decor, clean rooms Cons: There could be more varied food. The hotel is on a side road which is not well lit so take care walking in. Take a hotel business card from reception and show it to the drivers.

• CHEN (10/5): 温馨 便捷的酒店 - 非常满意的酒店。原来订的是阿特平纳克尔华考路店，因为需要用大床房换双床房，酒店主动帮助换到阿特平纳克尔宁曼路店的豪华标间，酒店员工开车帮我们送到宁曼路店，做好交接手续。非常好的服务！ 宁曼路店交通非常便捷，周边的餐饮、泰式按摩、711店很多。酒店内部环境很好，公共空间的装饰很用心，具有泰国风情的装饰。房间比较大，带有一个厨房和阳台。卫生间有沐浴露和洗发露，吹风机，没有牙具。酒店早餐我很喜欢吃。泰式和西餐都有。 酒店前台有中文客服，入住超过4晚的免费送机场。 总之，这家酒店令人满意！

The valley might be a bit dark during. Only one lift is available and keep wait for a long time or arrival. Decors are old, or maybe there are people who likes it. • bertieporter91 (10/5): Fantastic stay in Chiang Mai - Stayed here for the past two nights while exploring Chiang Mai and have an absolute fantastic time. Lovely room, friendly staff that go above and beyond & all round good quality for a very reasonable price. I have loved every minute i have been here and only wish I could stay longer. I would gladly recommended to anyone wanting to see Chiang Mai and will definitely be returning myself.

The place is absolutely stunning and the way that it's decorated is beautiful. Very comfortable and the staff are very helpful. Offered to taxi us down to the main area for drinks and food for free and anything that we needed answering they are there straight away and happy to help. Lovely view of the mountains from our room too! The breakfast is really varied and will have something that most would enjoy! Highly recommend!

• Matthew (10/5): good value for money - The hotel was great, very clean nice pool area and alright breakfast, don't think that the mini bar is complimentary because it's not made that mistake. Also they do not have a laundry service like advertised there is a couple just down the alleyway from the hotel. And it is very loud because they are building the new hotel right beside and that's the side our room was on, and everyone slams the doors very loud in the morning. Other then that it is good value for the money I would stay here again and recommend to others.
• Lima (6/5): ok, but be aware if travel with a kid. - about $44/night, not cheap in Chiangmai, Thailand. heavy Arabic decoration, interesting, hotel is bit old, but ok. Staff are friendly. mosquito is a big problem... Surprisingly, charged extra for my 8 year old daughter for every night, which all other hotels never charge for one child under 12 year old. Which never stated while booking the hotel. located in a deadend road, a contruction site by the hotel.

• Shing Chow (8/5): Eclectic Boutique Hotel - A lovely boutique hotel with very eclectic furnishings and comfortable rooms. The staff were very friendly and helpful, while the breakfast served was of a high standard. However, the food became cold very quickly (it was winter) as it was not kept in chafers. Selection was predominantly northern Thai, which suited us fine. A small gripe is that every morning (around 7am) a particular bird will start to croon very very loudly, although it is usually chased away within 10-15min.
• David (8/5): Calm, stylish oasis in bustling Chiang Mai. - We stayed here for a total of 14 nights split over three weeks and came to regard the hotel as an oasis of stylish calm in Chiang Mai. The plus points were the incredibly friendly and helpful staff (although speaking English was sometimes difficult). The rooms we had were spacious and comfortable and well cleaned and changed every day. Breakfast was very asian (most guests seemed to be from China), but enough. The pool was usually very quiet but was also very cold (always in the shade). The only major fault we could find was the very poor wifi. It was slow, and we had to repeatedly log on to the service when moving around or even in our room. Overall though we would highly recommend the hotel and the quiet spot it was located.

• Frank (4/5): Not bad nor great. - The hotel, overall, wasn't bad. I wish though that they would've told us before that there was construction going on right next door. Very early as well. They did move us to the other side of the building. There the shower didn't work so well. It had very hot water as well as very cold water just never at the same time. The breakfast was geared more towards the Asian pallet but my partner, Taiwanese, did say even that wasn't good. The western style could improve a lot. The surroundings were nice and quite in the evening as the hotel is located at the end of a long cul-de-sac. It's very decorative and pretty though. Staff very friendly and helpful.

The look of the hotel is very unique and all the rooms are slightly different. The beds are comfortable and it is easy and cheap to get a taxi to go around town. Perfect for a weekend getaway !
• KA KIT (8/5): Good hotel but not nice location - The hotel is nice and the staff is helpful. But the location was a bit far away from the old town. Though there is golf car shuttle service provided by the hotel to drive us to the main road, we still have to get a taxi out there to the old town area. More, most of the taxi driver was not able to locate the hotel when we had to return from the city, even the driver read the address card provided by the hotel. Anyway, it is near to the Chiangmai university night market.
• Tanya (6/5): Disappointing beauty - Hotel looks great, design is amazing, pool is beautiful. The room at first looked great too, but then i saw some hair in the shower, dirt on the shower floor, dust everywhere. The AC started leaking in the middle of the night and we had to sleep in the humid and hot room. There was music playing in the hallway on every floor, which was fun during the day but then i noticed they played it even after 10pm, which was terribly annoying as all you want is to rest after a long hot day. Instead you hear american pop songs and feels like you stay in the hunted mansion. When one song started to play 5 times in a raw - i had to call the reception and request to shut it down. They did but I still wonder for how long would they play it. The best thing they had was the breakfast! no other hotel in Thailand could beat it - amazing thai traditional food with huge variety and choice. even desserts which blew my mind away!

• Sarah (10/5): Book it! - My friend and I traveled Thailand together. As two single women, in a foreign country, we were anticipating certain worries. Having gone to Bangkok, an island and Chiang Mai -- we both determined on our own Chiang Mai (our first destination) was our favorite! And At Pingnakorn Huaykaew was one of the reasons why. The hotel rooms are beautiful. The service, impeccable. Every person we encountered at the hotel was pleasant and went out of their way to assist us. For people who get breakfast included: if you anticipate western breakfast foods like eggs, bacon, etc. that's not this culture. If you time it right -- make it more like an early lunch or brunch. We're talking delicious traditional Thai food. We walked everywhere, even to the night market. However, I wouldn't say it's in a convenient location to walk. We are athletic, and walked 12 miles one day. The hotel is hidden away. Immediately behind the pool are beautiful, untouched lands with rainbow eucalyptus and natural landscape. If you're high up and look to the neighboring property in the back corner -- it looks to be a racetrack of some sort. There was never a race when we were there. Construction going on in front never bothered us because we were out during the day. I think this is a developing part of Chiang Mai. Best hotel experience we had in our entire 2.5 weeks. We only stayed 3 nights, 4 days. Will return to this hotel, and stay longer.

• Verified traveler (10/5): Great Stay - Great property with great staff. The breakfast is plentiful, but be prepared for an authentic Asian breakfast. The only downside is the shower water pressure, it continuously goes from cold to steaming hot throughout the entire time.
• Supak (8/5): Nice hotel in very private and quiet area - I stayed there for one night. The hotel is located in a small alley which gives very good privacy. The room condition is very good, clean, and comfortable. The door lock is not automatic like regular hotels, though, so do not forget to lock your room.

When I ask her again she look at me and give me the hotel name card with angry face.... The room have many ants, also it is quite noisy around the hotel.

The hotel is surrounded by construction work (August 2014) so was incredibly noisy all day as they were drilling foundations. Breakfast was good with eggs, bacon, toast, fruit and a choice of Asian dishes.

• Rou (4/5): Location and Mosquitoes - It was difficult to find the hotel and when you find the road, it is very narrow to get in. At night noise from airplanes disturb the sleep. Design of the room was unique, however a lot of mosquitoes are in hotel. Foods are limited not many choices.

• lby (6/5): quirky design - location isn't the greatest and not accessible. Songtaew drivers do not know where the hotel is. Lots of mosquitos after your blood too. The breakfast place was always full of people and hence getting a seat and table might not be easy. The hotel staff should be more vigilant and helped crowd control - directing those who had finish their meals to move off for incoming guests.
• Rick S (10/5): Great new boutique - Really enjoyed our stay here. Great service, spacious rooms. The location is on a quiet side street right at the end. While the neighbourhood doesn't have anywhere exciting to walk to, it is a short 5-10 minute tuk tuk ride to most places you might want to go.
