• Verified traveler (4/5): Not great - The plus sides were that the breakfast was really nice and the chateau itself was great for photos. The service was a bit absent, and the room we stayed in really needs an overhaul. The curtains didn’t cover the windows and the bathroom was very tired and only had a bath, despite being a very large room and would easily fit a nice size shower cubicle.
• Arne (6/5): - Leider waren die Wände im Bad und Schlafzimmer feucht und im Schlafzimmer der Kinder war Schimmel am Boden und an der Wand. Dieser war dem Eigentümer und Personal bekannt. Die Umgebung war sehr schön, ebenso das Frühstück.

• Marion (8/5): Ein Schmuckstück - Schönes Chateau in malerischer Umgebung, tolles Frühstück, aber leider kein/e Klimaanlage/Ventilator. Sehr viele Mücken.
• Heidi J (4/5): Bråkete - God mottagelse, veldig hyggelig personale, god mat på restauranten. Rommet lå i en egen bygning adskilt fra slottet. Fint rom med god plass og gode senger. Mye støy fra biler som kjører på veien som gikk inntil husveggen. Det var også utrolig dårlig lydisolasjon mellom rommene. Våre naboer i etasjen over kom hjem kl 4 på natten, og vi kunne høre alt de sa, og at de gikk frem og tilbake over gulvet. Det ble dessverre minimalt med søvn på oss

• Dominique (8/5): Quelque peu déçu - Séjour de deux nuits dans le cadre d'un événement Vespa pour la deuxième année consécutive, confort de la chambre très bien. Par contre la TV ne fonctionnait pas correctement image brouillée et son distordu le premier soir, plus du tout le lendemain. De plus rentrant d'un tour de 500 km en Vespa, le deuxième soir pas de chauffage et pas d'eau chaude pour prendre une douche. Le lendemain matin idem toujours pas d'eau chaude. Lors du petit déjeuner, j'en parle à une employée à la réception. J'aurais quand même apprécié un geste commercial en compensation des désagréments.
• Pol (10/5): Chambre n° 10 - La chambre est un peu vieille mais me convient parfaitement, la literie et les sanitaires sont très corrects, cela me convient.
• Verified traveler (6/5): - Decepcionante. O quarto estava um gelo, esqueceram de ligar a calefação. Reservamos um quarto com cama para nossa filha e tivemos que dormir juntos para nos aquecer. Entramos em contato e sugeriram trocar de quarto, mas com uma unica cama de casal

• Cuypers (4/5): - Kamers hadden een Moffe GEUR = NIET AANGENAAM , kamers waren koud en oud ,stof in de badkamer , precies dat de kamer nog in maanden niet verlucht waren ,alsook het gebouw , water was niet warm. Voor de Prijs Heb ik al beter hotels of overnachtingen gehad , Raad dit niet aan deze accomodatie , het ontbijd was gewoon ,niet uitgebreid.

Kamer 20 was verschrikkelijk ; netheid vloer, zere muffe geur vloerbelkedingtapijt,spinnenwebben , uitwerpselen of opgedroogde vliegen onder bed , stof op luchter , zetel om met geen tang aan te pakken laat staan slapen , netheid badkamer,afwerking van toegangsdeur bij gesloten stand,afwerking badkamerraam anno glasdal , er was een deur voorzien in de kamer en bij het openen zaten we op een deel van de zolder volledig onder de pannen , defect bubbelbad en dit voor 100 euro .

• Verified traveler (10/5): - Very friendly host, made us feel really welcome. Due to corona, we had to get take out food, but forgot to bring fork and knife, so we gave him a call. When we got to the room, it was already there. Good breakfast, dogs allowed, beautiful castle.
• VICTOR (6/5): "logeren in een "kasteel" - Men boekt onder de noemer chateau de la motte en uiteindelijk beland je is een oude weliswaar nette opgesmukte schuur met verschillende kamers over 2 verdiepen +gelijkvloers. Afstand van de kamers, gelegen aan een andere straat en toegankelijk via een bospad (wat in een strenge winter?)ongeveer 150m tot de ontbijthoek/brasserie. Het kasteelkader is wel mooi, maar dient enkel als naam
• Rene (8/5): Beautiful grounds, lovely terrace & staff - Beautiful property and grounds! The restaurant and service there was very good and the food was yummy. I recommended to the owner that upgrading linens and towels would improve guest experience immensely, and he informed me that was the intention before the challenges of COVID-19 hit. Room wasn’t cleaned very well the second day but once I mentioned it, the owner was very supportive in ensuring that would be addressed immediately. Overall, a lovely stay and Very dog friendly, with lovely hikes to notable areas through cherry and pear farmlands! Will definitely stay again.

De dependance waar wij sliepen rook muf(naar oud tapijt) en de handdoeken waren versleten. Een was zelfs met twee gaten er in en een vieze vlek er op. Voor de rest geen aanmerkingen.
• Verified traveler (8/5): - We were very excited to stay in this chateau. When we got there, we were told we couldn't have made a reservation because they were booked. They suggested other places. While we were sitting there figuring out what to do, they came back and offered us rooms in the tower up a spiral staircase. It was nice of them because they're rooms they don't typically use as they are unusual. This added to the fun and we felt like they tried to accommodate us. We ate at the restaurant. It was good. The service was a little slow, but we were satisfied. The building is beautiful and we were happy to stay there.

• Verified traveler (6/5): Pratique mais pas top - Il est très agréable de pouvoir garer sa voiture et de profiter d’un bon petit déjeuner gratuit. Le parc du château est très agréable pour une promenade matinale... Par contre, la chambre que nous avons eue n’etait pas accueillante : ampoules grillées, atmosphère humide. De plus les chambres ne sont pas sur la même propriété que l’hotel : il faut traverser une route où les véhicules circulent rapidement. J’avais choisi cet hôtel pour profiter de l’ambiance du château mais il n’est pas permis de pénétrer dans celui-ci. On ne peut que le voir à distance. Dans ce cas, on se demande si notre naïveté n’a pas été abusée en nommant l’hotel ainsi. Bref une expérience qu’on oubliera rapidement.
• Erik (6/5): Nice location. Aged room - Beautifull location and nice castle. The room was in simple house next door. The room was aged and very cold for the time of the year. Breakfast in the castle was perfect.
• Karla (4/5): Not a great stay - The room we got was a "dependance", and it was on another street (69 Helshovenstraat), outside the actual hotel grounds. When we arrived the receptionist basically asked for the payment the moment we stepped in, gave us the key and told us where the room was, and went to the kitchen – no credit card receipt or invoice and no information about breakfast times. We waited for him to come back and asked again for the receipt and got it. The room was decent, with a large bathroom and a comfortable memory foam bed and a warm duvet. Cleanliness was average. The heating wasn't working (there were 9-10 degrees Celsius outside and the windows had been kept open) and at 10 pm and after a 500 km trip we didn't feel like going back the main building to report the problem and wait for it to be solved. The hairdryer didn't work either. Breakfast was good, though it is served starting from 8.30 am – too late I think. The woman at the bar/reception didn’t seem to speak any English, so we couldn't tell her about the problems with our room. She didn't ask either. Overall it wasn't the worst experience ever, but we would never go back. For the price we paid, both the room and the service were not good value, so we don't recommend this accommodation to other travelers.

• Verified traveler (2/5): Kasteelovernachting - Deze kasteelovernachting was ver te zoeken daar we niet verbleven in het kasteel maar ergens in ern huis daar vandaan in ouderwetse kamer/suite. Absoluut een teleurstelling!

Ideaal voor trouwfeesten , communie's enz.... Fijne en verzorgde keuken voor een ideale prijs . Dus van mij en mijn vrouw krijgen ze een dikke 8,5 op tien .

• Lisa & Marco (10/5): Wonderful surprise - My husband and I came upon Chateau de la Motte as we were working our way from Frankfurt to Amsterdam.....and couldn't have been happier. Our stay at the Chateau set the bar for a magical vacation. Driving into the castle was magical....as it was evening, the castle and it's driveway were was dramatically lit. We were warmly welcomed by Reuben and his staff, who made us feel comfortable, welcomed...and immediately part of the family from check in to check out. The property is beautiful...our "room" was in a bungalow type unit on the property.....clean and efficient. We dined both evenings at the chateau and had delicious meals. The vibe was so comfortable.....with locals sharing tables always a good sign. We loved our first evening so much, we immediately made plans to return the next night. The highlight for sure was Reuben and his team. Everything was top notch....we felt cared for, not as "customers"..but rather as "real people". In just two days, we felt like we got to know the team and they us. We will definitely return to Chateau de la Motte....and send all of all friends here as well!!

• JR (8/5): Beautiful location, comfortable room, awesome staf - The rooms are spacious apartments behind the chateau (out the back and across the street). The food was excellent (better than most) and the staff was genuinely friendly and helpful. I would stay there again!

Langue parlée et écrire, Néerlandais, un peu d'anglais mais aucun français ! Le Resto du château a un menu très varié et abordable ! La nourriture est délectable ! Selon moi, un incontournable de la Belgique pour pas trop cher !

• fam.weekend (6/5): Wij zaten in de kleine motte niet in de chanteau. - Wij merkte niets van het kasteel. Alleen ontbijten daar.( 3 minuten lopen) Aan de achterzijde van het kasteel, zijn 3 woningen omgebouwd tot hotelkamers, De kleine motte heten ze. Als je het weet is het daar prima vertoeven, heerlijk rustig, goede bedden, we hadden een buiten terras. Wij hadden onze dochter bij ons, en daar was een extra slaapkamer voor in onze lodge.

• Claus (6/5): Fint hotel, meget stille og rolige omgivelser - Vi havde en enkelt overnatning. Det ligger i en lille by. Det er stille og rolig. Meget hyggeligt. Der ligger en rigtig god restaurant nogle få hundrede meter væk. Det er fint morgenmad med i prisen. Vil anbefale hotellet til ældre mennesker der er ude for at slappe af, udenfor de store byer
