• Donayre (6/5): From the reception to the room, satisfied. - Good, need to improve by providing disposable toiletries like shampoo, tootbrush, toothpaste, slippers. Other hotels provides thae above, in that way customer satisfaction is guaranteed. If that happens he can recommend to his friends. No disposable toiletress, tootbrush, toothpaste.

• Steven (8/5): - The area was nice, conveniently located in the downtown area, and the staff there is excellent. They also provide a free breakfast as well. There were some insects in the bathroom, but that is not unusual in Tacloban. Overall the stay was very enjoyable.
• Cornelieus (4/5): Disappointing - The kitchen was closed after breakfast due to New Year's Eve. It's unacceptable for kitchen to close when guess are staying at hotel. Additional I didn't like the lack of variety on the menu!

• Elpidio (3/5): Sharing what I experienced - Conveniently located in the city center, close to the airport, restaurants, and malls. The receptionists are friendly, approachable, and very helpful. I will rate my stay based on my room experience. The towels provided were quite old, and there was no toilet mat. The shower had no hot water option, so it was always cold. Only a small-sized Safeguard soap was available, with no shampoo or lotion provided. Additionally, there was no toothpaste or toothbrush included.

Best to award a five star is to strengthen the wifi coverage as the internet is an essential tool for travellers.Stayed at 3rd floor but the coverage is fluctuating to one bar to zero bar.

• jdB9072YY (2/5): Rude receptionists - This hotel has the meanest, most evil receptionists. Of all the hotels I've been to, never have we been yelled at, disrespected, and berated in front of everyone -- only at Asia Stars Hotel. Even though my company has been a long-time client of Asia Stars, receptionist Shyrene (Shy/ Shairene) said I had no booking, did not let me in (despite company confirmation), transferred me to her co-receptionist (who also yelled at me by the way and told me there's nothing I can do). After a few phone calls with the hotel owner, they eventually confirmed and NEVER apologized for the mishap. The receptionists treated me as if I was the most stupid person she's ever met. Mga bastos kayo! Hindi dahil hotel receptionist kayo, pwede niyo na kami bastus batusin na parang walang bukas :(

• Richard (4/5): Hotel looks good and clean in reception, however the rooms have seen much better days. - Location was great and this hotel can run on it’s own back up power supply as there was a power outage on one day of my stay and the hotel was not affected in any way. Air con remote did not work, taps are poorly labelled for which way is hot or cold water. Rooms were ok but we had to request a clean set of towels as nobody offered to replace them after two days.

• LEOPOLD (8/5): Good Value - Overall this hotel is a good value. It’s located close to restaurants, shopping and the water, the room was simple but clean, and the staff was pleasant, professional, welcoming and efficient. The only downsides were that the hotel restaurant was not always open during its stated hours, and the hotel has a weird system for wifi access. Otherwise, I would recommend it!

• T5102TLjohnm (8/5): It works good location for what we need. - The last room we got was very nice. Staff there are nice. We use this hotel often. Some rooms the air con is hard to get right. Ask for a corner room no noise at all last trip. Feel very safe there. Price is ok.

• Kenneth (1/5): if you want bed bugs and hidden cameras go here. - close to downtown area room hot water worked only partly. tried to take a bath and got Luke warm water. coffee cups in room but no coffee and no water pot to heat water up. bed or bed sheets gave both my partner and I bug bites when we woke up the next day. tried to sleep and one do try lights for over four hours kept doing a flash like photography. when I downloaded an app to detect hidden camera it came up positive for one in the light near the mirror above the bed. I felt extremely uncomfortable after this. I sent a message to the hotel to complain using the booking message system without any response.

• Elizabeth (2/5): dirty - none room was dirty, there’s dead cockroaches on the floor, air conditioner only works if you put your keycard to the keycard slot, a/c wasn’t as cold more like a fan, shower does not have pressure. Will not be going back to the place.
• Philip (1/5): Bad - Nothing First room , no fridge or kettle, door to hallway had big gap down door jamb so could see into room clearly , swapped to another room and extra price for fridge, bathroom was really dirty, under sink open area i dont think has been cleaned in years, very noisey at night as staff seemed to hang around floor and noisey, we where booked for 6 nights but had to get new password for wifi every morning , disapointing , first night shower no hot water, maintenance man came , had to pull knob and let water run on floor till hot then push knob in , to hot to shower under and when tried to adjust would go cold before finish shower, thats after terrible smell from drain

Back up generator covered for a couple of hours power outage The bathrooms all need an upgrade, and revamp - they are clean but very tired and many things broken or cracked eg plastic shower screens, toilet seats, need for retiling

• John (1/5): disgusting - nothing the rooms are dirty, ants and other bugs in the room. the room smelled and mold in the sink and in the shower. hot water in the shower worked intermittently. I was embarrassed and ashamed my wife had to stay in this in this place.
