• Abigail (5/5): - The staff was friendly but the desk is not manned full time which is a frustration when you're traveling on a schedule. Room was spacious. Upon arrival, desk was not attended which seemed to suggest safety concerns of having the office unlocked. There were obvious signs of criminal activity, included but not limited to crowbar marks on the door of the room we stayed in. A man was loitering around the parking lot and waited to go up to his room (coincidentally right next to ours) until we were also walking that way. The public stairwells are unsecured and not monitored, very uncomfortable space to be in when it's late and there are men lingering around. Wifi is open and unsecure and performed poorly. Noises travels very easily, water was loud and other guest activity kept us on edge.

Thought no one was around, but after settling for milk, noticed the old man sitting reading the paper get up and go behind the counter and type on the computer. So, he "works" there and noticed the juice machine wasn't working and did nothing.

• Keith (10/5): Excellent stay. - We asked to be on main floor and they fit us in. We were pleasantly surprised at how quiet the workers were. We didn’t hear them leave in the morning. Breakfast was very good. Second batch of eggs that were made were undercooked and watery. Otherwise a nice selection of choices for breakfast. It was all good.

However, the cleaning lady (who may have been the owner?) rectified that and we were given a first floor accommodation ( which the desk clerk had said was unavailable).

But the smell was awful. I did bring room spray and used it often. But except for the smell it seemed to be clean. It was cheaper than other hotels in the area. I guess you get what you pay for.

• Alex (9/5): Covers all bases. Good, professional staff, good location - Good breakfast. The hotel offers a good variety and fresh choices. There is no gym but the staff offered me access to their sister hotel's gym nearby. I really appreciated that.

• Resort26818841280 (10/5): Friendly, helpful front desk. Microwave and mini fridge in room. - We had unexpected car trouble near Valentine, NE and found this gem of a hotel to stay in. The front desk ladies were more than helpful and accommodating. The room was spacious, and had a microwave and mini refrigerator which was appreciated. There is a McDonald's, Casey's gas station and a Subway in walking distance for food options. I would definitely stay here again!
• Dianna (9/5): - Good location right off the highway going thru town. Rooms were quiet , didn’t hear any traffic noise. Everything was clean and bed was comfortable. Good hot breakfast with eggs and sausage and usual continental style foods. Nice staff. This really isn’t a dislike just a comment. This is an older hotel but has been nicely updated. All entrances are from outside. No elevator. We had a little difficulty with the tv setup but once we figured it out with help of staff it worked just fine.

• Hopeful2 (2/5): Nothing harmonious about the Harmony Inn - We stayed here for 1 night while on a road trip to the USA. We rolled into Valentine and looked up the establishments on Tripadvisor. Of the hotels avilable this came out the best (though how and why leaves us mystified). There were only 2 saving graces about the room - the bed linen was clean and there were hard floors so no manky carpet. The room smelled really dirty and how any establishment can leave a fridge in such a filthy, dirty rotten state is beyond comprehension. Even the ice bucket was filthy. We felt uncomfortable touching any surface but managed to use cleansing wipes to sanitize the surfaces we needed to touch. Didnt dare shower! We both had a dreadful night's sleep so got up before dawn and checked out before 5am just to get away. We really had very limited choice as to where to stay In Valentine. We had been driving for 7 hours and just needed to put our heads on a pillow for the night. This experience is our own fault. We should have planned our day much better so that we could have stayed in a town with a decent, clean hotel. We have learned a valuable lesson from this and wont be so stupid the next time!!

• I3549YPlynnd (10/5): Wonderful stay at Harmony Inn! - Great check-in that was fast, friendly and I went to my room loaded with information about the area. Room was spacious, comfortable and clean. Breakfast was very good the next morning. Looking forward to a return visit to spend more time in the area and no reason to stay anywhere else!

Bathroom tub was not to clean. TV was fuzzy. A/C made lots of noise, which made it difficult to sleep. Room felt damp. A bit of a walk to our room.

• viehly (8/5): Good except for barking dog. - The motel was fine for the price but the manager allowed someone with a barking dog in a cage in the back of a truck to be pulled up in the parking lot which barked starting at 5 am and which I'm sure woke up the whole place. This person was not told to my knowledge to shut the dog up - not to mention how inhumane that was.

I was able to get them from the office. Quiet during the evening, food close by. No coffee maker, so before the breakfast opened, I had to go to Casey's at 0400 to get 3 cups of coffee until breakfast opened. We like to be on the road by 0545 -0600. A small pod maker in the room would be perfect. I bring my own pods and creamer.

• 315autumm (2/5): Fake pictures online this place is gross - Pictures online are NOT of the actually Motel. It is trashy, nasty and that’s the best thing that can be said. I called all over to fine anything else and the town is booked yet has nothing to do here. No theater, bowling NOTHING. The motel is the last place I would stay. Thank god we have our own sheets. Do not trust the cherry picked reviews and fake pictures online. Keep driving the 2 hrs to civilisation. Beds are the worst firm rock. Again thankful we had an air mattress it was better than the 20 year old mattress
