Guest Reviews
- Olivia (8/5): - Amazing location - in a beautiful house on a farm with lots of garden to explore! The room was big and the bed was super comfy. The owner was friendly and relaxed. It was a little misleading about breakfast, but they did have bread in the freezer. You could make your own coffee in the kitchen for everyone in the house to share.
- Margaret (8/5): Great stop for a road trip into the Harrison valley - Great host who made us so welcome

Très mauvaise indication de la maison

- Karin (9/5): Quiet and relaxing farmstay perfect for a family with a toddler - Authentic relaxing farmstay experience in a cute vintage building with vintage furniture, beautiful farmland, mountain views, and fruit bearing trees and bushes all around. Pianos available to practice. Their natural sulphuric water is great for the skin and joints. It is managed by the most friendly and lovely couple. Their dog is easy going and keeps a respectful distance from the guests. There is a nice beach not far too. There are no grocery stores or restaurants directly in the area. Plan accordingly.
- Emily (8/5): - Nice farm house. The staff is friendly.

- Rhiannon (8/5): Very good -
- Yu (3/5): A promising property in a peaceful location, but in need of better cleanliness and maintenance. - The host was firendly. The location was great. Everywhere was dusty and the property seemed poorly maintained.
The water tap in the bathroom was broken.
The entire area was unclean and covered in dust.
It’s a beautiful space with great potential, but sadly it’s not well taken care of.
Some pillows and blankets had no covers, which made it feel unhygienic and unwashed.
- Kamiel (7/5): Good -

- Eugene (10/5): Exceptional -
- Joseph (9/5): Booked four days but stayed on for-another two. Lovely drive to Harrison hot springs . - Lovely countryside position. We walked along the dyke to Kilby Point. We are ate at The “Horn of Plenty Cafe” in Agassiz . Great Diner . We had a wonderful 6 days

- Ray (8/5): - Everything was great other than very little hot water to shower, likely a 1 time thing though as it has several rooms.
- Olga (7/5): Very nice for a sort stay. Close to sky resort and hot springs resort - Very unique place soundproofing is so-so
- Emma (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hiromi (10/5): - Owner very friendly, very comfortable and large room in total silent surroundings. Trains passed by not far away but noise not intrusive. Nice country surrounding and interesting home.
- Frederic (10/5): - The view from the eaglw view cabin is amazing, good location.
- Mittu (10/5): Exceptional -
- Patricia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Andrea (7/5): Exactly as advertised. Lovely owners and a great location for weekend adventures. - Beautiful property, great value, good location for outdoor activities, the owners are really nice. The bed was small for two people. Generally things were a little run down but in a charming way
- Mohd (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ophélie (9/5): Superb -
- Carolin (10/5): Perfect place for a nature retreat - The location, Harold and Fen. The dogs. The whole place is so amazing and special. Loved it! Nothing really.
- Cindy (9/5): Superb -
- Erin (10/5): - Lovely, down to earth hosts. A beautiful property with lots of mature landscaping, open fields and big ol' trees. Truly a farm ambience with chickens, cats and dogs running around. A great place to just chill. We'll be back!
- Carolin (9/5): Loved it! We will be back! Great for families or a romantic getaway. - Beautiful rural location. Lovely hosts. Comfortable beds and large rooms. Loved having a pool table to enjoy with the family. My kids loved the pianos! Very low pressure and a strong sulphur (? Like old pennies) smell in the shower. Not a big deal at all. It left my hair and skin baby smooth!
- Nancy (8/5): Cordial staff, comfortable farm stay, close to where I wanted to go, hotsprings, river & lake. - Being able to bring my own food and get food at farms to prepare for breakfast, etc.
Communal feeling of kitchen with other guests
Being able to pick a pint of the last raspberries of the season.
Next door Cidery, could walk to it, fresh eggs from free range chickens on the farm,
sitting in back garden to play my flute, LOVED the hotsprings bath water every night.
Proximity to Harrison River. Wasn't used to a train going by every hour or so, since middle of summer, slept with the window open
- Heidi (10/5): - Lovely farm stay property. While we were there a storm came through and the thunder and lightning added to an early morning light display. Owners were very accommodating when flights delays made for a very late check in, so we were thankful they were so welcoming. Coffee and toast was available in the morning at our convenience. Easy going atmosphere and very basic. Lots of interesting antiques to look at all over the property.
- james (10/5): - Everyone was super friendly and welcoming
- Dan (10/5): - We really liked the property and the one bedroom unit we had (a stand alone building). It was comfortable, had all the amenities, and a great view of the mountains.
- Paris (8/5): - Was good , quiet,
- Sandi (8/5): - This is a pleasant, unique property! The owners are helpful and friendly and gave a great tour of the property upon arrival. It’s not a 5 star resort and if that’s what you’re looking for you will be disappointed but if you are good with a little quirky, clean and comfortable and if you are travelling with a dog this is the place!
- Mishra (8/5): Very good -
- Daniel (10/5): - We had a great stay, owners were awesome, laid back and easy going. The set up was not what I expected but I was pleasantly surprised. Meetvsome great people and enjoyed all the farm property had to offer. Will definitely be going back. Great for group functions!
- Oliva (10/5): Amazing stay at the Hammond House - The Location and the great hosts Can't Really think of one
- Benmerzoug (8/5): Great stay, we loved our time there - One of the best places to relax and recharge one's batteries before going back to the active lifestyle. I'd recommend this experience for anybody who wants to disconnect from the world and relax.
- Filipe (10/5): Lovely, I will come back for sure. - Friendly hosts, a chill farm vibe, pianos all over the place, and wheel water with a little bit of sulphur were great for our skins. It's an old wood house, so you can hear people walking on the floor above you. It was not too bad, as the other guests were mindful.
- Jesse (10/5): - Such a great place! Beautiful grounds! Wonderful and incredibly helpful hosts
- Carl (10/5): Perfect place - Amazing couple loved my stay 10/10 would recomend
- Samson (10/5): Exceptional -
- Oscar (8/5): Very good -
- Lisa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Simarjeet (10/5): - Very easy
- Ra'na (10/5): loved it! would come back! - The overall farm and the house were really nice. The house has a balcony with a nice view and we spent a couple of hours out there.
- Simon (9/5): Wonderful retreat - Fantastic farm experience
- Rana (8/5): Very good -
- SCOTT (10/5): - Great hosts!
- Ayla (8/5): - We enjoyed the big yard space for our kids and dog to run around. Would of been nice to have a continental breakfast given that most restaurants are a bit of a drive away but wasn’t a deal breaker. Clean rooms, quiet and enjoyed the hot tub.
- Jack (10/5): Lovely views and great welcoming hosts -
- Namrata (10/5): A peaceful and rustic stay at the farm amidst nature-a great escape from the crazy city life. - If you need a break from the fast paced city life, this is the perfect rustic farm life to enjoy. The house has a nice old world charm but the rooms are very modern and cozy.
The common areas and bonfire at night was a lovely experience.
The dogs are gorgeous and the whole farm takes you bacl to the good old days.
- Katherine (2/5): - Property is really rough. Very disappointed that Expedia rated this an 8.2. Pictures are not even close to actual. We booked two nights. But didn’t stay at all. Would like a refund and would not recommend this place to anyone.
- Kyle (10/5): - Wife and I had a fantastic time staff was very friendly and helpful.
- Calixte (8/5): Very good -
- Katherine (6/5): - They asked for more cash for a pet fee that I thought was covered with Expedia.
The style in the rooms were mixed and out dated.
Other than that it was nice.
- Marcy (8/5): Harold was an amazing host who was warm, personable and lovely to talk to. - It was beautiful, peaceful and serene. Back in the day the hosts made breakfast for the guests. To bring that back would mean a perfect stay for me.
- Davis (6/5): Mostly good experience. if it were not for my dust allergy and the amount of dust there it would have been a lot better - The property is pretty, sprawling, would be really beautiful in spring and summer. it is nestled in between the mountains, the fog rolled in and we realized that it was actually a cloud when we drove down the mountain. The house is huge, and the rooms are a good size, bathrooms are large. The common areas are very large as well. There are hot tubs. No one came to check if we needed anything or changed the towels over the 5 day stay. At night when I got back there were no lights on and it was very big and scary and I felt very alone. I was all by myself in this giant place. it was very dusty, could smell dust in the bed, the pillows, and under the bed and behind the bed frames against the wall it was thick with dust. I talked to the host who said she would look into it, but for my visit it was too late I had a major allergy attack that I am still suffering from even after leaving. the Room with the musical instruments is also full of dust. if it were really well cleaned it would be a super great place to stay. So it has a ton of potential. would be great for a large group or conference or retreat.
- Nav (9/5): Superb - Amazing property with tremendous views.
- Gill (10/5): Exceptional -
- Pooja (9/5): Lovely Stay - The farm was beautiful. We loved our room and had a comfortable sleep. The farm dogs are a very welcome bonus!
- Deborah (8/5): - The property is unique and is a farm type experience. The antique furniture is beautiful and so is the area. Coffee and toast was available as well as a community fridge. This would be a great spot for a bunch of friends to rent the whole place out.
- Wendy (4/5): - Site introduction was minimal and not sure how we were meant to secure our belongings when we went out for a meal.
- Nathan (9/5): Superb -
- Shalini (6/5): - The property is breathtakingly beautiful but does not offer anything aside from that. There is a hot tub but we weren’t allowed to turn on the device (so all it had was just warm water - which was good). There was hardly any food on the property or around, except a few fruits here and there.
For a B&B, there was only bread, jam and a few fruits available for breakfast.
- Carly (10/5): FABULOUS - The cabin looked upon the most beautiful view - it was so very peaceful out there…an utter oasis. The owners do a superb job on this property!
- Lisa (8/5): A bit of drive but lovely - Quiet Nothing
- Emily (8/5): Quiet spot off the beaten path - The accommodation was comfortable and had everything in the room that we needed. The bed was comfortable and being in a rural location, the surroundings were very quiet allowing for a great sleep! Hosts were friendly. There was a breakfast stated in the booking but nothing was available so we checked out in the morning and found a lovely spot for breakfast in a nearby town.
- Moses (10/5): Peaceful comfort and quite very clean room - The area was very peaceful and scenic the room was very large very new feeling to it bed was extremely comfortable well made had a large bathroom with tub and shower very well done I couldn’t be happier with my stay thank you very much There was nothing that I didn’t like was very happy with everything value was excellent
- Garry (9/5): Superb -
- Elena (10/5): Exceptional -
- Walter (7/5): Worked well with our dog--- he could actually run and play! - The outdoor areas are beautiful. The man who checked us in said it's a 25 acre spread. The rhododendrons were in bloom and it was a pleasure to walk about enjoying the vistas and running our dog.
The bed was quite comfortable and we slept very well. The bath had good water flow and both a tub and shower.
The man, who I don't think gave his name, had planned to put us upstairs but relented when we explained that one of us has difficulty with stairs and put us in a downstairs room which was a good thing.
We enjoyed lounging outdoors and it was peaceful and quiet! The building we were in felt neglected and in need of considerable maintenance. There have definitely been some upgrades, but there is much left to do.
Our room had been modernized but wasn't clean enough, at least by our standards. (We may be extra fussy having run a Canada Select 4.5 star B&B for 19 years.)
The breakfast offering consisted of bread in the fridge, use of a a toaster and a very weak pot of coffee.
Despite the grumbles, we slept very well. It was nice to have windows open for cross ventilation, which we wouldn't have had in most hotels!
- James (10/5): Amazing! -
- Luiza (8/5): the room was perfect . - location kittchen
- Barb (7/5): Had a nice, quiet one-night stay in the country. - Beautiful piece of property. Serene and quiet. Owners very friendly. Lovely outdoor hot tub. Price was right. Main building appears to be under renos. Lovely soaker tub in room with big window overlooking gorgeous greenspace; however felt somewhat uncomfortable as deck from suite next door a bit too close in regards to privacy.
- Judy (9/5): Better than any hotel stay - It was unique, private and very comfortable and welcoming
- Grethe (10/5): I highly recommend this location to everyone!! - the property and home were stunning. the hosts accommodated our early check in and we very hospitable n/a
