• Steven (10/5): Very nice discovery of a great place to stay! - The Walnut Inn is very new looking - I believe they have recently renovated the hotel. Everything was very nice and clean. We will definitely stay there again when in the area. I don't think that they offer breakfast. Everything was good.

• lecia (10/5): It was a wonderful stay. - I love the new renovations. It is so much nicer and very accommodating. Loved that check in is at 1:00 and check out at 11:00. Wish they would have breakfast. But, it’s understandable with a restaurant right next door.
• Edna (10/5): Great value for the money - We didn't have the breakfast Shout out to Nora! She cleaned our room and made us feel welcome, like we were staying at her home. Loved the hotel cat too. Pillows were not the best and the blanket on the bed was a bit thin.

I think they said there may have a continental breakfast in the futur - It was clean, good location off of the interstate Didn't have it one small trashcan in the room, lights were really bright without any way to dim them. May have helped to have a lamp.

• LBowman (9/5): - The location of the hotel is great. You are close to the casino and 4-star diner. It is newly renovated. There was no hairdryer in the room.
• LESTER (9/5): Perfect overnight stop for a restful evening. - This motel is very basic but delivered with what is important to the traveler. Very clean room and grounds which is evidence of pride of ownership. No frills but tremendous value. There is no breakfast but who cares. There was a great diner one minute walk across the parking lot. Coffee service in the room was a Keurig which is better than most. I would stay again. Two story motel without an elevator. Could be an issue for some.

• Mitchel (10/5): Pleasantly surprised - I was solidly, surprised by the quality of the room, the value, the friendliness of the woman at the front desk. The rooms were exceptionally clean. The beds were incredibly comfortable. I did not expect to find this. Literally, the only thing is that there is a truckstop across the way, and there is a fair bit of truck noise. But once I fell asleep, I didn’t even notice it.
• Dakota (7/5): 10/10 - 1 Rusty mini fridge - 1 Stains , holes, scuffs - 1 Bad night shift worker = 7/10 - There's a diner next to the location, and it was amazing. Two out of 3 of the staff I met were amazing. I enjoyed talking to them very much. Also, the rooms were very nicely remodeled, and the water pressure, I will miss it. There's a casino across the street if that's your thing as well. One out of three of the staff I met was rude, nosy, and I just did not enjoy her presence. Also, the mini fridge had rust on the bottom of it and the room's walls need to be patched and painted also some stains on the bedding

• Jennifer (10/5): Stop off during road trip - The property was very convenient, right off of Hwy 40. Check in was easy and staff was very nice. Rooms were very clean, had everything we needed. Restaurant right next door! There was nothing not to like.

• Lori (10/5): Fantastic!! - This was our last hotel stay on a two-week road trip and it was, by far, the absolute best. It was very clean, modern, and affordable. I normally hate in-room coffee but this coffee was quite good. I even had a second cup. We travel with a dog and hotels usually give you the crappiest room but not here. The room was huge, clean and comfortable. We ordered dinner from the diner right across the parking lot and it was great. Nothing. No complaints.
• Sherry (1/5): You get what you pay for, so don’t trust the ratings. - The price was below others, with a higher Booking.com rating! The man at check-in was friendly, suggested things to do in the area (even though we said we would not be staying) and “upgraded” our queen room to 2 (unneeded) queens. In room 216, the door bolt did not lock. The room was cold, so I set the heater which blew too hot, but when I tried to adjust it, it would only blow cold, so we had to sleep white the outdoor temp dropped to 28 degrees. I tried 15 options on the TV before I got one movie that streamed so slowly it kept pausing. Internet quickly permitted emails to come in, but I let my iPad stream all night for one movie that failed to load. The refrigerator froze our food. I have no idea why this would be rated higher than the other hotels that are closer to the freeway.

• T6094NBdeniseh (10/5): Love this hotel! - We stayed here on our way to California and on our way back home. This hotel is very clean with updated rooms. No carpet thankfully. Has a nice atmosphere. Beds are really comfortable. Has a patio area in back with their resident sweet cat Smoke. There is a Diner right next door with good food. Cherokee Casino is across the street. Can't beat the rates either. You will be comfortable at this hotel and if you are a clean freak like me you won't feel the need to clean the room. Great place to stay after being on the road all day.

I like how the facility has updated the place to be more modern, welcoming and fresh. I liked how there was a police presence to curtail any possible shenanigans! I liked thecloseproximity to the Casino!

But yet was very cozy at the same time. It is located right across the street from the casino which was also very convenient. The price was very affordable. We really enjoyed our stay.
