• V8165SPmaryr (10/5): Excellent staff, wonderful stay! - I recently stayed at Homewood Suites by Hilton in Southington (because I was going to a wedding ) and had a wonderful experience. The hotel was very clean, comfortable, and conveniently located right off I-84. The room was spacious and well-equipped, making the stay feel very relaxing and homey. The staff (especially Tim the general manager-who went above and beyond when I needed ice for my back ), was especially friendly and helpful throughout my visit, and the complimentary breakfast had a great variety of options each morning. Overall, this was an excellent stay and would definitely return when visiting the area again.

• westie2 (6/5): Second stay - Our second recent stay at a Homewood suites followed our first by two weeks though the location different and we were better prepared. The king suite was a carbon copy of our prior room, well maintained and satisfied our needs though we were disappointed that photos of the room showed a walk-in shower while our room had a shower/bath combination. The was a light in the living room that was not working so a call was placed with the front desk and a staff member arrived within 5 minutes. We did note that the pool was unavailable throughout our stay due to maintenance though we never saw anyone performing any maintenance. Having remembered the issues during a prior stay at a different location, we brought food that did not require an oven and our own toilet paper. The breakfast was once again quite good with a variety of choices including make your own tacos and burritos.

Warm welcome by manager and visible staff everywhere during the stay… desk is staffed, maintenance man working, laundry on site, breakfast room was staffed and buffet always full. Terrific coffee. Comfortable rooms. Very clean. Candy canes were placed on our door on Christmas Eve which was a nice holiday touch.

• lorittam423 (2/5): Worst customer service in the world - Terrible, terrible experience. Stayed here for a few days and there was absolutely NO room service for our whole duration. We had dirty towels and trash cans were filled in the room. On Nov 20, 2025 around 3pm, a lady that worked at the front register (she had brown hair and was wearing glasses) was the RUDEST receptionist ever. She made me feel so small and treated me terrible after I asked a very simple question about my stay. While she was helping me, another staff member was on the phone helping a customer and she was rolling her eyes and complaining to the receptionist right in front of me. It was very very very unprofessional and I do not recommend this hotel at all. Save your money and your self respect. Do not stay here

Wednesday night wine/beer awesome for social members of the family who drink. Love that music played in the pool, but had the option to turn off. The variety of breakfast choices made me very happy, nice that they changed it up daily (hot meal). Coffee available 24 hours in the dining area or in the room. Ambience perfect in all settings. Other staying here or friendly sociable, not snobby, or did not make me feel unsafe at any time. Maintenance available quickly and respectfully change the lightbulb that went out. Love the cookout, fire pit, basketball amenities. we plan to spend Thanksgiving, Christmas, and two summer vacations (July then August) in 2026. I felt very at home. This is my favorite hotel now.

• Elizabeth (10/5): Wished we could of stayed longer. - When I travel with my grandkids, safety is my first concern. We felt very safe here. The rooms and facilities were all very clean. While swimming in the indoor pool a man made it a point to bring us some larger pool towels, that were warmed. The breakfast in the morning had a variety of foods available. The only negative I could think of is there was only a stove top to cook on and not an oven.

I was impressed with the free, light dinner reception they had - I’ve never seen that at an HS property before! While the quality was not special, it was laid out thoughtfully and was a nice thing to do for guests. The property itself was compact. I wouldn’t recommend room 116 on the 1st floor - the basketball court runs outside both windows, which ‘closes’ at 9pm, but the lights stay on. People bouncing basketballs 8 ft from your pillow at 10:37pm isn’t that relaxing, but it quieted down shortly after. The room itself was a little musty, but very clean (except for the dirty pool towel left hanging in the bathroom when we arrived). For a room that slept six, there were only three towels and no pillows/sheets/blankets for the pullout. But again, the entire staff was courteous, friendly and responsive. The indoor pool was extremely small - not a pleasant atmosphere and four people was a crowd in a pool of that size. The breakfast in the morning was terrific - really plentiful with a good variety. The croissants (Sam’s Club?) were delicious. The tables were clean - to the point that they were soaking wet, as were most surfaces…so we went outside with the smokers and the bees. Location was excellent, very convenient with a Dunkin in the parking lot and right up the road from a Longhorn with great takeout.
• Lisa (7/5): If you’re going to be pet friendly then make sure you do a better job on cleaning the rooms after the animal leaves - The location was perfect for where we needed to be. The outdoor activities were cool. My son loved the basketball court. Our room smelled of dog urine. I went to the front desk and she told me she would leave a note for the maintenance team in the morning. I was checking out the next morning so that didn’t at all help me. I ran into one of the maintenance guys who told me he was really busy and go to the front desk, I explained I already did. He was unclogging a toilet and said he had other things to attend to. Then while outside sitting next to the fire they had going, we seen him get into his car and leave. He seen us and rolled down the window and told us sorry my time is up at 11, and I’m over my time then he drove off. They didn’t offer us any type of compensation or to move us to a different room. Thank God we checked in late and didn’t have to stay longer than 1 night

Big screen tv was nice and furniture comfortable. Parking was convenient and location was good for my family gathering. There were a few things that need improvement. There were two people staying in my room, but it seemed that certain things were setup for only one. Only one “to go” cup. Only one teabag, but not a regular black teabag. Only two creamers. Could have used more towels. The elevator location a bit far for someone with disabilities. However, I could have called the front desk to rectify some of these issues.

• Thomas (10/5): Max comfort - Amazing suite that wasn’t worth the pay but I don’t regret it I love a nice shower I didn’t like the price and I didn’t like how the tv didn’t face the bed and I had to move the tv stand.

The ladies who did breakfast were sweet and worked very hard. Nice variety of options for breakfast. Loved that it’s pet friendly. The pool and gym were very clean. Loved the smart tvs The pillows were horrible even with 4 stacked it was like there weren’t even any pillows. The brand of shampoo, conditioner and body wash wasn’t desirable. I feel like with a 3:00 check in time check out should be 12
