- kala (5/5): Close to CBD - Close to the CBD easy access to walk to shops and takeaways. Was hard finding the car park, beds are bit hard, didn’t really like the two way bathroom but no fault of property.
- Louise (1/5): I would not recommend - The location was good. We arrived to a odd smell in the room, i later located the smell of mold from under the sink cupboard in the kitche.With the sofa bed set up you could only access the double room through the bathroom it was so small, the next morning the toilet blocked and the water come out of the sink drain which stunk like sewage. We had to turn the TV up high to here it over all the noise of the tennis court that was being used right up to 9pm When we spoke to reception the lady just offered to send a plumber and really didn't care about the mold smell at all. We asked to leave and get a refund to which she then called the manager and offered another room. We accepted but then there was no sofa bed and my son had to sleep on the couch. The dishwasher had no start button so couldn't be used and the silicon in the bathroom had black mould. Very disappointing and I would not recommend.

- Saranne (10/5): Great value for money & super spacious! - We were shocked at how big this property was for the cheap price we paid! - had 2 bedrooms and a massive couch, the kitchen was great, and the balcony was exactly what we needed for our stay. Very clean and absolutely no issues, will be back! Nothing! It was great!
- jane (6/5): Good location. - Staff all very friendly and accomodating. Lovely receptionist. Location was very central. Captain Melville pub, almost next door, had great food. Aldi next door. Comfortable bed. 5 min walk to market. Whole apartment grubby. Booked a 1 bed, but really it was a studio with a sliding partition to create a small, dark bedroom. Poorly equipped kitchen. 2 electric rings and a combi microwave.No microwave or oven cookware. We stayed 14 nights so thus was a problem. Very small living area. Tennis court, directly under our apartment in almost constant use often until 10pm complete with floodlight and balls hitting our window! Whole place needs a good clean. Shower cubicle dripped freezing cold water from ceiling whilst showering. The smallest balcony ive ever seen. Just enough space for 1 person to stand. Curtains were torn, dirty and hanging off so impossible to pull. Little privacy with the floodlight outside.

- Anna (10/5): I love staying at the Milano. It's a great home away from home. I have stayed here at least 6 times. - I like how secure the property is. Both the carpark and the double doors at the entrance. It's proximity to trams and the fact that they are all free currently. The fact that Aldi is next door to provide food at a cost effective price and provide for my health restricted diet. Super safe for women to use as a base for night travel. I would recommend it for work related travel as you have good internet access. Can you please add salt & pepper to the condiments? Can we have washing powder, soy sauce and tomato sauce available for additional purchase from the front desk please?

- Craig (4/5): - Central location, nice view. We were ‘upgraded’ to the old building. sounded okay at first but was a pain as we weren’t given an access tag to the main lobby. Two different lifts to take if you’re using the car park. There was random items left in our room when we checked in and a tea towel hanging on the little air con unit in the bedroom directly above the warning sign that says not to do that which left a bad odour.

Had read some negative reviews after booking, so asked for a recently refurbished unit. Sofa was uncomfortable and there were smells from musty carpet in corridor which were being dried and also from bin area although these were eventually taken care of. Staff were helpful although not overall friendly, perhaps a cultural thing?

- Charmaine (7/5): This is our second time at the Milano excellent position for Queen Vic, markets and tram access. Great value for money w - Location and amenities. Hair on the floor and on the back of the toilet that wasn’t ours, mould in the shower.
- Chesielyn (8/5): Good size and location for a family stay. - The location was great. Close enough to food options and still in the city, but not too noisy or close to clubs etc. Great for families and very handy to have Aldi next door. The gym, pool, sauna and spa were fantastic. It would be a real bonus if the pool were heated, so it can be enjoyed all year round. The entry to the parking was a little confusing at check in. It would help to include some information in the confirmation email. The staff at the front desk weren’t rude, but definitely weren’t friendly or approachable either. We only really dealt with staff at check-in and it felt like we were inconveniencing them by checking in. The housekeeping staff we did come across were friendly though. Whilst the rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable, there was a bit of wear and tear in them and some areas could do with a deep clean.

- Hugh (7/5): Good location and decent facilities - The staff were friendly especially Gizella. Location is good, and sauna. The bed is uncomfortable, it’s 2 single beds put together using plastic bag to tie the legs. And it has wheels, so when you move, you have a chance of moving the bed which always would shift towards where the phone charger (personal) and lamp (Milano’s) power plugs were making them shift. Sofa is very uncomfortable. I’m just giving honest feedback, not trying to slander. Overall due to location and staff friendliness - the stay was good.

- Frequent Traveller (7/5): Longstay Melbourne Break - Apartment was a good size. Location was great and the location of local shops was very handy. Reception was accommodating and friendly. Kitchen was poorly equiped, I needed to purchase my own oven tray, strainer and frypan. There were limited utensils available. Beds were quite firm we did ask for a matress topper which was provided but did little to make the bed more comfortable. There is a washer / dryer however after 4hrs of drying washing was still wet we had to get a clothes airer to actually enable clothes to complete drying.

- Chris (7/5): good to start. bad at the end. - It was close to where my conference was. My wife had a fall in the carpark and fractured 4 ribs and cracked a bone in her wrist.
- Paula (6/5): I expected a better appartment for what money we paid. Not for it to have so many issues that should have been taken car - Location was great. Beds were comfortable Apartment had many faults - broken blind in bedroom, squeaky wardrobe doors, leaky shower hose, blown light bulbs in dining room and hallway, toilet roll holder missing in single toilet, unusable power plugs in bedroom, broken toaster, no tea towels, fan in washing machine bay very loud, washing machine leaked on floor. I complained about these issues and staff at property directed me to booking.com who advised tell staff at property and in the end some were fixed. Bathroom not cleaned properly and had long hair in bath. Underneath one of the side tables looked like it had vomit on it.

- Rachel (9/5): Great break - The location to public transport and supermarkets, The Queen Vic Market, The Museum, Old Melb Gaol etc was amazing. I loved having a full kitchen and a washing machine and dryer. The pool & spa was great, although the pool was a little cooler than I expected. I didn't like the washer/dryer combo as it takes too long to dry our clothes. We were told we would have 2 King Size beds, The the room only had a Queen size and we requested 2x singles. The beds are on a wheel base, so they were bouncy and not overly comfortable.

The heaters were really good in the lounge and bedroom, as it was a bit chilly because it's winter. The Layout of the apartment was also very good. We found the staff not very friendly at all on the main desk. They didn't even look up at you when we were talking to them. Never got a hello or a smile. No They seemed too busy answering the phone and dealing with phone calls rather than people at the desk. The beds were 2 singles pushed together and it was a very hard edging so i couldn't get nice and close to my partner. The top of the bed had no soft pillow top, so was very hard and uncomfortable. Not much of a view, but we weren't there for that or in the room for too long. All other places we've stayed at always have a spare blanket in the cupboard, but we had to ask for one the next day, I was so cold the night before as I didn't realize there was a heater in the bedroom until the next day 😜

Someone we knew two floors down had the same problem. There was also a stain on one of the bedsheets when we went to hop into bed that night.

- Nina (6/5): Over all we had a nice stay. - Great local. So close to everything. We were there with a few other families it was not easy trying to get from floor to floor. Kitchen needed a few more utensils for cooking.
- Micko Old Mate (7/5): Good location but rooms are grubby. - Great location close to the markets. Good value for money. Rooms are worn and although clean a lot of fixtures broken and they are in quite bad condition. It's more like a student accommodation than an apartment with the wear and tare to match. Air con condensation leaks all over the floor and tables.
