- jillwQ9445IS (4/5): Quite run-down - The hotel appears to be well on its way to decreptitude. Everything is old, worn, dirty. A very strange layout to the rooms. Seems to be a repurposed building. Way way way past its use-by date.
- Kelly (10/5): - Extremely kind and friendly staff at the front desk. Breakfast menu was small but was sufficient enough to have a meal set option of Chinese or Western food. We got the Love Suite and it was more than enough space for a couple. The room had an amazing Mountain View and a private spa bath overlooking the outside views. Hotel location is fairly close to all the BeiTou attractions. Love the free shuttle service between the hotel and the nearest subway station. Will most definitely book here again!

Free on call transportation to and from the hotel to the town and station. GLBTQ Friendly. Beautiful place in Taiwan for a couples get away. Room stay includes a full good variety buffet breakfast.

- 984chandlerc (8/5): Sweet couple trip - Overall the staff is nice and spacious. Hopefully the pluming system could be improved and the bathtub was little too old which needed to deep clean. I would recommend to couples who want to enjoy a peaceful trip. Especially for the rest of the tourist attraction is worth visiting.

- 871maureenh (10/5): Fantastic service - The hotel has car transfer to the centre so it is still convenient. Though it is a small boutique hotel, the room is spacious and clean. It also make up by having staff whom are very helpful and cheerful. I tried to order pizza but couldn't , the lady at the counter even used her hp to help me ordered and brought it to our room. We left one of our charger in our room when we checked out and 彥穎 not only contacted me but they helped to send it back to us. People are the best assets to a company and the staff just proven it.

I loved having a private onsen and was surprised by the healthful effects of the hot spring water. There are nearby hiking trails. On a rainy day I took the free shuttle to the metro station and visited the excellent museums in Taipei. I would love to visit again for a longer stay.

- Verified traveler (10/5): Amy was the best! - Having spent 30 years in the customer service industry, I was amazed by the connection and awesome level of service privided by Amy at the front desk. She was all smiles, couldn't help enough and just made us feel like we were at home. She deserves all the kudos for making the hotel feel so special. We loved our room and enjoyed every minute of our stay.
- sabrina (4/5): - We booked forever suite with mountain view, but the room they put us in didnt have mountain view, we called, the lady at front desk said that room has it, but was dark (night time), so we couldnt see it. i called back letting them know there's no way it has the view, because outside the window it was apartment buildings and streets, that was when they said they upgraded our room without extra charge, becasuse we asked for an extra bed, and since i didnt specifically note i wanted mountain view, they didnt think it was a big deal. I dont like the fact that i had to call them back for them to tell me what actually happened, plus the description of the room already says mountain view, so why would i specifically note i wanted mountain view? Thry ended up giving us the room we booked, we did have view of the mountain, but most of the view was apartment buildings, the wall of the hotel, and their interior landscaping. To call it mountain view is bit of a stretch. The TV is broken, the AC started spitting out ice in the middle of the night. Staff is friendly, the interior design but the furniture is dated. The bedding is comfortable.

However after my initial disappointment , I was pleasantly surprised to receive a call from Andy, the manager, who told me he can't promise anything but will try to do his best to see if the additional bed could still be arranged. It ultimately came thankfully. 🙏 Their breakfast was better than expected , and I would rate Asian dishes a high 8 . Their service staff were very helpful with our other requests and even changed our room because of wifi issues that night. Overall a very pleasant stay! Only con: distance of the hotel from main road is a little far , even with the short- cut but the shuttle- on- demand service made up for that. And so, a more peaceful stay in return.
- Lidia (10/5): - We loved the friendly staff. Service was great. The location is within 15 mins walk to the city where restaurants, stores and transportation can be found. The hotel grounds and rooms are kept clean. The only thing they could make better is to repair the wall plaster peeling off from the outdoor shower that was in our room. The indoor shower was fine. Plus our room had a hot tub that you could choose to have water from the hot springs or regular tap water. They served us the complementary breakfast at in our room. It was great.

- 666jannyw (8/5): Nice Hot Spring Hotel - This is our first time to stay in The Hotel Double One. This hotel location is quiet with privacy environment, and can provide shuttle transfer between Xinbeitou station and hotel. The hotel decoration is great and contemporary, We chosen to stay at "Only Suite" on the 3rd floor, the room is new, very spacious with Hot Spring Pool and Sauna Room. You can see the quiet mountain view when enjoying a hot spring in the room. In addition, their staff is very friendly and helpful. Although it's a small boutique hotel, but we really enjoy our honeymoon vacation during these two days in Beitou.

Hence we couldn't see the view very well. Otherwise, all is gd except there's no restaurant in the building, which we already knew about.

The only downside to our stay was the cleanliness of the property itself. The vent for the AC in our room was caked with dust, and it looked like it had not been cleaned for a while. The same goes for the vent in the elevator. The bath towel was also dusty. Also, remember to bring your own pajamas as the hotel does not provide a bathrobe or night gown.

- Magdalena (8/5): Nice little get away. - The staff was very friendly and very quick to help with anything. The shuttle was very handy and they were quick to call the car for us. I personally didn't enjoy the breakfast, but my husband was into the waffle maker. The hotel was a little off the beaten path but it was nice, we had a lovely sunset view and enjoyed the spa tub. The water was hot but not as pungent or as milky as we expected (perhaps perfect for those who don't want the stronger smell). The room was really cute, I loved all the wood and the design but as mention by others, more pictures on the site would be nice. It's a little more rundown than the pictures indicate. I should have taken pictures but I didn't think of it. Overall we enjoyed our stay (we were in the love suit).

- Annabelle (8/5): A Good Break @ This Hot Spring Hotel - There were quite a number of mixed reviews on this hotel but my stay was quite a pleasant one. Other than the fact that the tiles from the hot spring area was a little old, the room was pretty clean and comfortable. Service was good and the shuttle bus service was very useful for guests whom did not drive. The sauna in the room was not working but they did offer us a change of the room just that we were all settled in and were too lazy to change. Other than that it was quite a nice stay.

Not sure if it was the stopper problem but the tub is definitely leaking thus it took really long to fill up the tub. Condition of the private hot spring area can be better. - plaepale (10/5): Very friendly and helpful staffs. Clean room and great services - I came straight to the hotel after landing. It was in the morning but the check-in time is at 3.00pm and you do the early check in you’ll get charged. The staff suggested me to just drop my bag at the hotel first and come back for the check in later as I don’t wanna waste my sight seeing time. you can actually call the shuttle from the sushi shop by beitou train station when you arrived, but at the time I didn’t know, so I ended up walking up the hill to the hotel ( tbh if you take a walk with a min. of 26” suitcase it’ll will not be very pretty I can tell you). Over all I gave full score here
- RMDTraveller (4/5): Faded away: overrated hotel 2.5 star - From 24 to 26 Nov I stayed in room 303, which was quite expensive at 410US$ for 2 nights in an area where besides the local hot springs there is not much to do. Not 4**** at all. My advice: if you wanna visit come with the red line metro to Beitou (transfer to pink line to Xinbeitou - 1 stop - and walk ~10min) and don’t book an overpriced hotel here! Just come from Taipei for an hour or so. The numbers: -Price/Quality: 2.5** of 5***** -Price: $$ of $$$ -Quality: 3*** of 5 -Service at Reception: 5***** of 5 -Airport pickup service: not available -Service Overall: 4**** of 5 -Services Offered: 3*** (pick up from Xinbeitou after calling hotel wait at Sushi Express (opposite hard to see)) -Wheelchair Accessible: 3*** (narrow paths there is an elevator) BUT room has stairs - 1-2 steps to room ans bathroom. Room The room is very outdated and show many signs of decay. The layout is weird and there are many short stairs. The bed is okay not super comfortable and the pillows had stains on them. The balcony has 2 weird Japanese like woven wicker chairs, which you cannot sit comfortably on, also it’s damp in there. Weird smell - moldy(?) damp. The closet is old with outdated wood and has few hangers and a safe which is easy to use. Some drawers. There is a coffee machine if you use it first time don’t inset a coffee-pad as you’ll waist it by the machine needing to clean itself. The water cooker operates to on via a push button on top! Not on the side very unusual. The green tea offered is strong let it seep just 1-2min. The bathroom has it’s own hot spring tub which is nice, but during the day the big windows don’t provide any privacy... the blind must be closed all time. Tub looks not clean due to discoloring of tile kitting. Tiles look old. To note: -Make sure the plug is fitted well, it comes lose easily. -missing a good head rest to relax -no towel rack in bathroom it’s in the hallway = inconvenient -sitting place is small if you’re >1.80m -door to shower and toilet is a sliding door that means when you close the shower you watch into the toilet automatically -if you want to make a steam-room in the shower the next person cannot go to bathroom as door is open... -Sitting on the toilet you can be seen from outside (large windows) -if you don’t towel well whole floor will be wet... All in all a bit disappointed with the overpriced overrated hotel... Breakfast This too was disappointing and when we came at 09:00 most food was already gone even though the “buffet” is open till 10:00am. All looks bit second rate food, not well presented for a claimed 4**** hotel limited choices too. My advice see above just come for a day! If you want to stay here better hotels cost even more >600 US$ not worth it.
- Cherrylxy2010 (4/5): Stink toilet - We stay here for a night. When we get into the room, we can smell the toilet. There is stain of urine the bottom side of the sitting board. Very disgusting. We have to open the window whole night so that the smell is not so obvious. I suggest the manager to look into the cleanliness issue of the room.

It is a distance if you are walking in, definitely recommend taking a taxi, which makes this place a gem hidden from all the buzz and noise! Cosy and well furnished rooms, Hot shower, separate cubicle for toilet bowl. Personal in room hot spring which is an added advantage as you can have privacy. Super romantic for couples! The breakfast is my favourite as they had a wide spread including waffles!! which is a rare sight and selections of tea... always feel so relaxed after my staying here. Will recommend this to anyone coming to Beitou and will return without a doubt!

- teresarX8702BK (10/5): Magic Week in Double One - I had wonderful experience in this tranquil, romantic Hotel surrounded by mountains and beautiful greenery. My room was equipped with hot springs bath on the balcony, private bathroom with sauna and steam room, king size, very comfortable bed, dressing table, kitchenette with fridge, coffee maker, kettle, safe and big TV. Wonderful breakfast was served every morning with great coffee. There is most amazing and helpful Staff in this Hotel. Special Thank you to Andy who went above and beyond to accommodate my requests when I asked to change my room and he was always ready to help. To Amy (who speaks perfect English) and Judy and other Reception Staff for being so wonderful and kind. Beitou Downtown with Hot Springs is only 10 minutes walking distance and beautiful Yangmingshan National Park is 40 minutes walking, Having Metro Station near by you can make interesting trips every day or enjoy magic spirit of Beitou.

- keviny222 (10/5): Best Value in Beitou - I had an amazing time at the Hotel Double One. The shuttle was very convenient and the room was cleaned. It sure was nice to have a personal hot spring in the room at your convenience. The staffs were very friendly and accommodating. I enjoy the free breakfast buffet as well. If you are looking for a quality, clean, hot spring hotel on budget, this will be a great choice.

- Verified traveler (10/5): - Beautiful room with a light and clean feeling perfect for relaxing. The room has a wall of windows that can be opened while soaking in the hot spring tub, and glass doors to separate the tub area from the bedroom. The bed is huge and has a large electric blanket covering the matress which makes it so comfortable. The flatscreen tv is enormous. Most importantly, there are professional make your own Belgian waffles at breakfast.

- myownroad (8/5): Privacy May be an Issue - Desk staff are nice. Rooms are spacious. Hot Spring balcony Views are 50% buildings so not so private but good enough for the price. Be aware that staff ignore the Do Not Disturb indicator and go into the room anyway. They came twice in one day trying to get into our room while we had do not disturb. We had the bolt lock closed which was the only thing that stopped them from walking in on us.
- L (6/5): - Hotel Double One is also under Leader's Hotel. I think they are under the same umbrella of companies. The hotel staff as usual was pleasant and informative. There was a free transport to and fro the city centre. Location was slightly further then town, I specifically wanted a place slightly quieter. We were given rooms in the basement. I didn't like that at all. Bathrooms and hot spring tub looks in need of revamp. The rest of the rooms are quite okay. I would not recommend people to stay again.

The in-room hot spring bath offered unmatched privacy and a chance to take soak in the water as much as you would like to, without having to go to the public paths or book expensive individual private sessions. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and accommodative. They even drove me to the town to get some take-outs and then back at 9pm. Highly recommended if you are looking for a relaxing place to stay in Bentou.
- Yan Lok Simon (8/5): Double One short visit - The area is amazing. The hotel provides free shuttle transport between New Beitou station (an short one stop extension of Beitou station), and the hotel on demand from 9 to 9 daily. Just call the hotel and the car will arrive within 10 min. This service was not advertised but should be mentioned. The room comes with sauna and hot tub. However it takes a couple hours to fill. So fill the tub when you checked into the room and take a couple hours to visit the town and you will have a hot tub when you get back. The facility is a bit aged but overall it is still pretty ok. The people in Beitou is super friendly.

- Jacky (8/5): - The overall stay is good but the hotel is a bit run down, need to be refurbished. The tray used to place the toiletries is rusty and the wall paint is old. The front deak staff is friendly but the staff working in the breakfast area lack of some smile on their face. But overall the stay was good and the breakfast is not bad. One thing to add on is that the staff place some Birthday deco in the room as it is my partner Birthday which is a plus point.

- David (10/5): Fantastic hotel but breakfast could be better - A great hotel that I'd recommend (and have been) to anyone especially couples. The to was clean and the hot tub, sauna and steam room were great. Breakfast was limited however and the hot tub is not a jacuzzi (more like a big squared bath with hot spring water)

- Wee Ling (6/5): Don’t choose the basement rooms - What I don’t like about was the dark gloomy feeling of the basement rooms. It doesn’t have the airy and bright feel shown in the photos. There was rusty parts and mouldy areas in some parts of the room and it really need a good clean up and renovation. What made it a little better was the cheerful and friendly staff.

- Jim (8/5): - I had a below-ground room -- so this may not hold for other floors -- but the room was huge, with a huge hot-spring fed tub, both an indoor and an outdoor shower, and an in-room sauna. Despite being below ground level, the outdoor shower and room window both opened into small atrium-like openings allowing outside light in and providing an open, airy feeling. Over-all the hotel design is excellent, though wear-and-tear suggests it is not very new.

- Verified traveler (2/5): Horrible stay - Apart from the friendly staff, the room condition & cleanliness is in a status of " "Rundown", not only the hot spring tub was filthy the toilet tiles were stuck with dirt. I booked for the "Love Suite" and will not be recommending or coming back to stay. The hotel was also a challenge to find, for the amount of money ypu are planning to pay for this stay in this hotel, go book another.

- beitoubear (8/5): Nice hotel for private hot spring & sauna - It was great to have both hot spring bath tub and sauna. In my case, the view from the bathtub was not good. Breakfast was not bad. Staff are kind and friendly. It is good to take advantage of the hotel shuttle from/to Xinbeitou station, where you can find restaurants and shops, especially if you have a large luggage, because it is a 20-minute walk on the hillside.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Make sure your room is not in the basement - Our room is in the basement, which was not clear in the original description (or I would not have booked it). The hotel only had partial renovation. The tiles of the bathtub are old and some of them came loose. The cleanliness needs some work especially at the corners and shower. Bed is comfy and breakfast has many options. People worked there are very helpful but the overall facility really needs a facelift to make it worth the cost.

- D (8/5): A cozy hot spring hotel with 25 rooms - This is a high CP value hot spring hotel near new Beitou metro station with free shuttle service upon request during 9:00am to 9:00pm. Only "Forever" and "Only" suites provide private sauna and hot spring tub. All other rooms are equipped with hot spring tub.

- Anita (10/5): Very relaxing stay! - The hotel provided free shuttle service to and from XinBeitou station. When you arrive at the station, there's pay phone available to call the hotel. The free shuttle service runs to 9pm on weekdays (not sure about weekends) when I stayed there in December, 2017. I stayed on the third floor and the gated sliding panels by the window-side tub are a bit tricky to operate (if you find that they are stuck, the lock could be down or the sliders for the netted windows are loose). Lovely view in room 306. Comfortable bed. The front desk staff Zoey was super helpful and even drove me to Beitou Station so I'd need to make one less transfer to the airport line.

Hotel room was enormous with hot spring tub, sauna and showering facilities. very relaxing and soothing place. Will return again when visiting taiwan
