An ideal place to stay.
Div was very friendly . First night of our stay....we had no hot water.....no water coming out of the taps...very early in the morning [ @ 4am ]
Third nite we had cold showers ...?
There was water...but it was cold.
- Marcos (10/5): Great relation price/quality - Great place, calm and clean, a lot of space, right in the Kruger park entrance, I would stay again for sure
- Shevonne (6/5): It was fine - It was located well and it had view of the park The room was quite small and the water pressure is not great at all, very very low water pressure. And there was no AC remote in the room
- Tomas (8/5): Good stop over place from Kruger NP to Mozambique. - The staff was very welcoming and also let us use the BBQ facilities. They helped with advise on where to go and what to look out for.

- Rosemary (8/5): Stop over near knp - Ronnie was welcoming & very helpful. ( he assisted with carrying our luggage in and turned the communal freezer on). Light over the parking & code for the remote gate convenient for early getaway. Location great close to KNP.
Lovely fresh soft towels & linen. Steps down to the unit from parking made it awkward for pensioners .
No window in our unit to open in the sliding doors made us feel claustrophobic....but fortunately, they had a ceiling fan. Freezer on the unit fridge very small but fortunately Ronnie plugged the communal freezer on.
Bright security lights shone into our room i suggest block out curtains
- Kristin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Martin (10/5): We will return on our trip in August. - The place was very nice, clean, tidy and organized. The quee3n size bed was nice and the sheets were changed on a regular basis. its literally 5 minutes' drive from the Paul Kruger gate to Kruger Park, Seriously everything was excellent. We literally had no problems at all. Comfortable, private and quiet.

- Greg (9/5): Superb -
- Katlego (10/5): It is good value for money and it is worth the stay. I would definitely recommend visiting the lodge - The view was so beautiful. There is absolutely nothing to dislike. The staff, the service and the overall experience was just impeccable.
- Davide (9/5): Enjoyable stay - The tranquility within the property. Nothing
- Heike (8/5): - Ideal, weil der Weg zum KNP relativ kurz ist. Zimmer und Bad sind sauber, kleiner Kühlschrank vorhanden. Wir fühlen uns dort sehr sicher.
- Kirkman (10/5): Home away from home - Easy access to shopping centres and other amenities. The place was very clean and felt like home. There's not much we didn't like.
- Lindi (10/5): Great Stay - It was a short stay but very memorable. Place was clean, quiet, and well maintained with a beautiful landscape garden. Host was very friendly and welcoming. I requested a 12pm early check-in for one or two rooms; host advised out of the 4 rooms booked, he will make 2 rooms available but on our arrival 3 rooms were ready for us. Nothing.
- Hannes (10/5): An excellent stay. - We did enjoy an excellent stay! The property is in excellent condition, very neat and clean. The facilities available counter load shedding as far as possible. What a blessing!
The location of the property is remarkably close to the main shopping venues. The property also provides easy access to Lebombo Border Post and the Kruger National Park (Crocodile Bridge gate).
Excellent value for money!!
- Makhubele (10/5): Exceptional -
- Daan (8/5): Very good -
- Tracy (9/5): Private, quiet, clean, neat and accessible to amenities. - Everything we needed was provided. Property very well maintained and apartment was private and quiet.

- Fanfuthi (10/5): Exceptional -
- Bronwyn (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anri (9/5): Number one choice in Komatipoort - Host was friendly and accomodating. Place was clean and quiet. Nothing was out of place. This is always our choice to stay on our way to Kruger and Meerkat Manor never disappoints. Just the shower pressure is a bit low.
- Jenny (7/5): Good -
- Bernard (7/5): Good - Atmosphere...the view from our side of the room was amazing Every thing was good we just didn't find the air aircon remote but the room was cool enough with the fresh air coming outside
- Anita (10/5): Exceptional -

- Jax (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michaela007 (9/5): Superb - Comfortable, clean and cozy. Loved the vintage decor Nothing
- Justine (9/5): Superb -
- Schultz (1/5): Worst stay ever. Avoid during loadshedding periods - Nothing No generator or back up power and no water when theres no power. No lights are working when power is out and nothing is supplied - not even a candle.
Even worse is the water. when the power is out there is no water in the taps or shower. No drinking water is supplied to accommodate brushing teeth or even for drinking.
- Nale (10/5): Exceptional - The place met our expectations considering that we drove more than 500 km, and the staff was excellent.
- Galid (9/5): Superb -
- Function (10/5): Exceptional -
- Maria (10/5): Exceptional - The owner was very kind with us.
In the town there was a kind of strike and the roads were closed.
Thanks to him and his friend we were able to arrive at the entrance of Kruger.
They drove their car using backstreets and different ways.
We are really apreciated his help.Without him we has not seen the park.
Thanks very much for your help!!!!!! Nothing en
- Mosetsanagape (10/5): Home away from home - The establishment is well maintained. The staff was friendly and assist us with all that we needed. A real homely. I will definitely book at the place again
- John (10/5): Daily visits into Kruger from here - Excellent stay, room with a view and cool breeze
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This will always be my place to stay when traveling to Kruger Park. Location is perfect, rooms are clean, owners are wonderful and overall it's a fantastic place to stay. It's always a pleasure. Looking forward to going back!
- Maite (10/5): Recomendo - Ótimo custo x benefício, localizado há poucos quilômetros do Kruger Park, anfitrião muito receptivo
- Janneke (10/5): Komatipoort business - Amazing value for money. The room was very clean, tidy and well appointed. The check in was quick an easy - you can be left to your own devices or the owners are warm and engaging so it depends what fits you. WiFi signal a bit slow but to be expected in that region in general. Cell reception was great. Great place to eat 5 mins away - the Stoep cafe.
- Glenn (10/5): Modern Guesthouse Close to Kruger National Park - A modern, well-appointed guesthouse near the Crocodile Gate of Kruger National Park. An ideal base for a day trip to the park (if you come by rental car). A portion of the park and the Mozambique border are visible from the balcony. Almost like a small hotel. Two spacious buildings in a fenced compound. Nice landscaping. Wifi available in common areas and in some rooms. Microwave and fridge in common area. I got a lot more here than what I paid for. One disappointment: no meerkats.
- Dino (10/5): 5 stars - fantastic! no problems whatsoever
- Lars (10/5): Great value for money - The accommodation was great value for money. Room was 100% clean, we found everything asexpected. Breakfast was not included as advertised but would be a great value add if they'd offer it. Therefore, all meals to be taken in the centre Tower town which is a bit too far off for a walk.
- Darryl (10/5): Great stay - We really enjoyed our stay at Meerkat Manor. The owner was very friendly and helpful and made us feel at home. Our bags didn't arrive on our flight to Johannesburg so we had to get them delivered to the hotel, this was no problem with the owner. I would highly recommend it this hotel, particularly if you are going to Kruger National Park as we saw lions and leopards on the road out of the Crocodile Bridge Gate.
- Kevin (8/5): - Good value and comfortable. KRUGER park had no accommodation and this was ideal for crocodile gate.
- Jordan (10/5): - Ronnie was great. He was very accommodating to our schedule. We happened to arrive late due to travel delays and he was extremely flexible. So flexible he was okay with us waking him up in the middle of the night when we finally arrived.
- Jasmin (10/5): Beautiful place - Extremely helpful, welcoming and friendly owners. Thank you for your help with fixing our car light.
- Nischol (8/5): Quiet & Cozy Spot - Excellent! Relaxing, quiet, Ronnie is a good host. Nice clean lodge!
- Ryan (10/5): If you happen to be in Komatipoort..... - Komatipoort isn't exactly a hot tourist destination but if you need a place to stay, Meerkat Manor is your place. Quiet, comfortable, clean, restful, and the owners are great.
- Amanda (10/5): Great spot near Kruger Park and Mozambique border - My family and I live in Maputo and visit Kruger for quick weekend visits. Meerkat Manor has been by far the best place we've stayed in the area. The owners are extremely friendly and everything about the rooms exceeded our expectations. Having only driven through Komatipoort before, I would have never guessed that such a calm and peaceful guesthouse could be found here. Well done!
- Meerkat Manor (10/5): very friendly owners - WE enjoyed it and is very pleased with Meerkat
- Tony Lee (10/5): Perfect for visiting Kruger Park - Meerkat Manor is an ideal location to start or end a trip to the Kruger Park. Very nice accommodation very friendly hosts and good value for money, would recommend to anyone visiting the Park. Restaurants are limited in Komatipoort, otherwise perfect.
- Emily (10/5): Great view, New room - The room was on the top floor and we could see into Kruger. It was a really beautiful view to wake up to in the morning! Room was new and very clean. We only stayed one night (a last minute choice to add an extra day- no room at our previous hotel) but it is a definite option for travelers. Would like them to add a restaurant/food services and perhaps a pool as they grow; this property has potential. Recommended stay.
- Or (10/5): Welcoming and Comfort - near Crocodile Gate - A very nice guest house moments away from Crocodile Gate for a great access to Kruger. The place is clean and safe and the rooms was comfortable, everything works as it should. Owned and run by a very welcoming and helpful couple. Good value. Recommended to spend the night before you go look for the lions. If you are lucky you might hear the elephant calls from Kruger while staying on the balcony with your tea.We enjoyed our stay!
