Suggested a different room. So we moved to a different room TV a lot smaller but it worked. Had to go back to the office to get the keys/chip card exchanged. We asked for a discount on our bill. no luck no discounts. Not okay. The next morning free Continental breakfast waffle maker is broken. imagine that. Enough said.

- 565terahb (4/5): Sleep and leave… - The property is run down. Everywhere we looked it needed paint, new fixtures, new furniture or some type of upkeep. The lobby area needed ceiling tiles and artwork on the bare nails. I felt sorry for the koi fish in the exposed black plastic lined “pond”. The photos show how shabbily the place is kept. The breakfast is a couple of bagels, bread for toast, and “Great-Value” brand instant oatmeal. (We were told waffles by the front desk staff upon check-in.) That being said, the room was clean, bed comfortable, and air conditioner worked well. The landscaping/view toward the river was nice. It seemed suitable for people coming to the area for fishing, not a “resort”. Over-priced for what it was, in my opinion. Oh, and 1 minute after 11:00 checkout time (as I was zipping my suitcase to leave), the staff knocked on my door to let me know I either needed to book another night or get out. Not classy.

- Jason (4/5): Run Down - The rooms we a bit run down and somewhat dirty. The property seems to be falling apart and not kept up with, but has tons of potential. There were some renovations, but they seemed to be DIY. Front desk people were very friendly, but room service was poor. After the first night our towels were taken but not replaced, bed not made, and lights left on that were not before we left for the day. Breakfast was just waffles, bagels, and cereal. In the end i dont think it was worth $100 a night

When walking around the room, the floor made my feet black within a few steps, no in-room amenities such as a room clock and telephone, there was flies flying around and little ant-like bugs were on the floor. The outside maintenance was not upheld from the grounds keeping to trash in trash cans not being emptied. The staff was polite at checkin and out

Unfortunately, it smelled like sewage all around the exterior of the hotel. There was what appeared to be a long term rental section and some very sketchy men all around the building. I was quite creepy to be honest and with two small grandchildren a littel unnerving the entire time we were there. The ice machine closest to our room was broken down and there was no covered area to sit and it rained most of the time we were there. Just not at all what was advertised, very disappointed.

The large picture windows facing the river took up the entire wall of our room and were coated so that we could see out, but people could not see in. Could use a little TLC. The bathroom door hung up badly in the frame and had not been painted. The hinges were rusty and interior side of the door was dirty. The sink faucet was cracked. There was a Kleenex box mounter in the wall and the chrome cover was rusty.
- Robert (4/5): - In the advertisement from Crystal cove AND Expedia we were not informed of the separation between the hotel and the amenities that are advertised. THIS WAS MISLEADING AND FAULS ADVERTISEMENT. The restaurant, the inside bar and a tiki bar were closed. This is due to a separation of the properties and the new owner of the restaurant, inside and outside bar sent to staff home for the holidays. There was nothing said or were we advised of these amenities not being available. Went my wife and I chose Crystal Cove, we did so as purchasing the "package" not just a hotel room. Needless to say for our Christmas "week getaway", this was extremely disappointing!!!

- Tammy (2/5): - The room smelled so bad and was so musty we couldn’t even stay. In the pictures it show carpet and the floors were tile. Just very disappointing. Would not recommend. I booked on line so I could not get any refund either.

- Petewhite99 (2/5): Worst stay at a "resort" - Okay after booking this "resorts" room and arriving we went to our room to get settled and when I checked the bed like I always do I loft the cover and see the sheets were never changed. There was a basketball sized area of urine on one side of the sheet. I went to the front desk to complain and was told to stop being a Karen after waiting 20 minutes just to speak to this front desk associate due to them being on a phone call with a baby daddy screaming at him about money. I get told oh here's a new sheet and the person says make yourself at home. I just wanted to have a good stay so I bit my tongue I wanted to say bitch I did not pay your attitude or to do my own linen. I thought this has to be the worst but boy was I wrong. My wife was heckled and cat called everytime she left the room and I got good poisoning from a meat wagon the "resort" had cook for the resort at bar they own on the water. I had to go to a shifty little hospital named putnam county medical center which I won't even get started on here. Overall this place was nasty with piss covered linens pubes and feces all over the toilet and hair and green slime like stuff in the showers. I requested to be moved to new room and get money back and was told oh we can't do that our rooms are all booked. Which was a lie there was hardly anyone else on the property that did not work there. And I say work very lightly because that place is so poorly ran. 3 star my ass more like -1.

Ok me and my family rents rooms why we work a few times my son left stains on the pillow case because of a Durag so we resolve that problem. So ok next They began to complain about stained linen which the linen was the towels which we used after we showered. They stated the towels were stained bc of all the dirt on the which I felt was a very racist statement due to the fact that were African American and they’re not . I just felt like we were profiled and unfairly treated by this hotel when our tenure there should speak for itself. Never had I destroy there property. Samantha the Gm is great but her MOM Kim will make them loose there people don’t f color. I was so tired Friday night and she wanted to not rent to me because of me asking her about her speaking in my child. I’m not understanding this treatment. They keep me from talking to the owner. Just as long as you white you will be great!!
- Lindsay (4/5): - We upgraded to a suite with a kitchenette so we could pick up a takeaway after the long drive, in the kitchenette there was NO cutlery, cups, plates, glasses, had an induction stovetop but no pans, microwave did not work, no kettle and the pouch holder did not fit the coffee maker, room was very big but very dated, large fridge that worked very well. Glad we only booked the one night.

- Erica (8/5): - This property is very old and rundown. It was probably awesome back in the day. The location is great, in a cute little North Florida town and right on the river. The staff is super friendly and do an amazing job keeping the rooms clean. The coffee in the lobby is excellent. If you don’t mind a very clean but old, run down, barebones motel, then I think this is a great option.

We did not feel safe with people in hooded sweat shirts covering their faces hanging around in the parking lot at night. Hotel should have security, and not allow loitering, invest in better lighting if they would like to create a welcoming safe environment for their visitors.

Definitly one of our top properties. Since our family has also stayed we eagerly shared our pictures with them knowing that they will aso stay when in town. The great benefit for us is the fact that it's only 10 minutes from our home ! Beautiful riverfront location..

Furniture was OK but showing wear. Provided coffee. Said breakfast wasn't available yet but was planning to offer in the future. No restaurant. Friendly desk staff. Provided maid service each day. Adjacent to marina on St. John river.
- Robert (10/5): - This is a remarkably nice secluded property on the Saint John’s River. Unfortunately in our room we kept the lavatory door closed for the leaking shower valve. I suppose the individually wrapped coffee cups are good Covid legacy but I was able to demonstrate why lids should be available even if they are stacked without individual wrapping.

- Nathan (4/5): - No breakfast like advertised, advertised laundry facilities not working. Front desk offered laundry service and ruined half of our clothes. When brought the ruined clothes to attention of staff they were very rude. Won’t stay there again.
- Zulfiqar (6/5): Functional Hotel, 1 decent room & 1 not decent one - We reserved two rooms. One room with two beds, and one room with a king size bed. We were given a room with two small full-size beds, not the king-size bed. My husband works in mold remediation and was very concerned about the mold that was obviously present in the room. It could be seen around the window and in the bathroom. The room for my two friends who were traveling with us, had a nice room on the opposite side of the hotel that faced the water. It looked much cleaner and did not smell like mold. We woke up to an angry person staying at the hotel who was screaming about his laundry with the front desk. It was a decent hotel for one night stay, but not somewhere I would recommend for a comfortable place to stay for a holiday. My husband was quite upset with the cleanliness at the hotel and felt a need to disinfect all clothing or fabric materials from our trip as soon as we got home. I think they need to get a mold handling done, at least in the section of the hotel where we were staying. And they should not promise a king size bed and not have that available when it is being booked ahead of time. The room with a king size bed should’ve been reserved for us.
- Rodney (6/5): - I was disappointed to see how many people were living there. There were at least 10 vehicles in front of the 2nd building with people living with lawn chairs, grills, and personal stuff in lot and out front of doors. The building was neat and clean. Room was clean. Wifi worked well. No chain on hotel room door. Could hear everyone in the hall. No sweep on bottom of the door. Staff was friendly. Rates were higher than i would have expected from a place with so many living there. No breakfast. Farther out of town than i liked to go eat, etc.

- Brittlee (6/5): What they say VS what to expect. - Check in was good and speedy. The front desk agent let us know upfront there would not be breakfast which was advertised on the reservation. When I booked it stated free breakfast for 4 included with the room. This is not the case as they do not offer breakfast right now. The bar was advertised as well with no indication it would be closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. The soaking bathtub was advertised, it is large enough to soak, however, there was not a stopper in the tub. The housekeeper does an excellent job and the room was clean to standard but could stand a few touch ups: bathroom door has paint coming off, there is only one trash can, the tub drain is worn and green, no overnight security latch, no peephole covers, no hangers in closet area. Most of these issues we can overlook as we are in the hotel business ourselves, but when i book based on an ad i expect to get what I paid for. The lobby looks recently updated. The room furniture does as well. We also like the tile throughout the room. The outdoor pool was also closed so we did not get to use it but it looks nice. The view of the river is beautiful.
