- kp34bb (6/5): Underwelming and disappointing stay - The physical resort was a great location and away from the loud hustle and bustle. We had a car which is probably mandatory staying here if you want to go off property but we did walk down by the Holiday Inn area where it's loud and busy. We were mid check in when the person next to us started complaining about the verbiage of their room title vs what they booked. Not really sure how/why but we suddenly were told to have a seat and our room would be ready in twenty minutes. We can only assume that they reassigned our room to this guest. We booked the early flight into Aruba to land at 2pm and arrive at the hotel at check-in 4pm so that we could swim and enjoy the resort prior to dinner. At 4:20 we asked about the status of our room and we were told it was just waiting for a supervisor to complete the inspection which takes 30-45mins which sounds quite unbelievable. I would have expected to be offered drinks/snacks from the bar, but we were told it would be ready soon. At 4:40 a supervisor came by and could see we weren't happy and inquired as to why. I informed her check-in is at 4pm and it's now 4:40 and we were told our room would be ready at 4:20. She went to the desk for 10 mins and came back and told us the room would be ready in 20-30 mins and apologized for the confusion. There was no confusion, check in is 4pm and she is now telling us our room won't be ready until 5:10-5:20, With 6:15 dinner reservations we won't have time to enjoy the pool before dinner. Around 5:15 our room was ready but no one informed the porters. We called down and they were having trouble finding our luggage and our room. At 5:50pm our luggage was delivered in just enough time to get dressed for dinner. The porter that delivered our luggage was 12/10 and asked if we wanted a fridge and fan for the room! The fridge in the room is useless because it's filled with overpriced items vs going to the local market and buying water/drinks at normal prices. This employee gets MVP for the stay and was compensated accordingly!!! While at dinner our fridge and fan were delivered to the room. I should note that we booked our room months in advance and were promised that we would be put on the highest available floor for our room type and given the best view. Our room was on the second floor of seven. Housekeeping did a pretty good job of honoring our preferences for cleaning times. The other reason besides the check in disaster which is not how anyone wants to start their trip was the beach experience. We noticed jet skis operated by employees of the neighboring jet ski rental operating at top speed with in a foot of the swim area. I am not aware of Arubian law regarding this, but internationally when there's a swim area 200 ft is the standard. The following day a jet ski almost struck a swimmer who flailed his arms to get the attention of the operator (employee). The employee then comes back full speed and does a power turn to throw a wall of water at the guest. Every beach employee of the Ritz sees this and every guest on the beach stops and watches at this employee then berates this guest and using vulgar language in front of women and children and when he notices everyone watching him he says "Do not come to Aruba, all of you should not come back to Aruba, stay away, we don't want you here." Not a single employee did a thing to help this guest as this maniac continued to operate recklessly around guest. We reported it with video to the hotel. Where we come from that video alone would warrant an arrest. I contacted the police who didn't even come to speak with me or ask for the video. The Ritz clearly did not address it because for the next four days this recklessness continued. My 11 and 13 year old daughters were terrified during the incident and thought the man was drunk. I was considering renting a jet ski but would never after this experience, nor would I ever stay at a resort that my kids can't safely swim in the ocean. We had high hopes staying at the Ritz. It's not the nicest hotel we've ever stayed at but it was certainly a splurge and we had hoped it would be an amazing experience but next time I'd save money and stay at the Marriott, Hilton, or a time share.

I remember the Tamarind Mezcalita; he explained to me that it's a fruit from Aruba and the Caribbean. The spicy guava margarita was mega wow! His "crazy monkey" with banana and three different rums, not to mention his exotic mojito and pina colada... super addictive, 1000/10! Follow him at @exoticreationsaruba; I'm one of his fans.

From the welcome email before we arrived, to the super kind front desk staff, and the awesome beach and pool staff — no attention to detail was missed. This hotel was the only one on Palm Beach who would guarantee us connecting rooms, as we booked about 6 months out. We traveled as a family of four, with two teens, so the space and extra bathroom spaces to spread out was needed. The guest relations team was very helpful in getting us all set up for a great week of fun in the sun! The hotel has sunblock, bottled waters, and towels everywhere you turn. We rented beach cabanas every day and loved the guaranteed shade, impeccable service, and truly wonderful experience. Great food, even better drinks, and a beautiful (and quiet!) hotel made our trip relaxing and memorable!

The staff is kind and courteous, however our experience was not ideal. 1. We had issues at checkin. We used Trip Advisor booking and there were problems with room assignments. Trip Advisor had one room type- Ritz had another category lower. 1 hour lost. Room assignment not ideal. 2. There is one pool at Ritz accessible to children. The other pool 18* 3. Beds are high, one of my children fell off and bumped her head. We could not have another bed brought in due to room assignments. 4. Ritz charges 110 resort fees on top of our reservation per day. Trip Advisor failed to share. Unexpected hidden fees at checkout. 5. The resort is vert transactional. Every activity has a cost and every person is looking for a fee per transaction. 6. The resort is remote, good and bad. You need a car unless just staying at hotel. 7. Food expensive but the cost for quality not on par. Would not stay again, unfortunately. This one missed the mark for excellence which the Ritz strives to provide at a cost.

We’re in Aruba celebrating my son’s first birthday, and tonight’s dinner at Casa Nova turned into something really special—thanks to our server, Mario (who absolutely deserves the nickname “The super Mario”). We initially chose an outdoor table, but with a cranky baby and restless kids, things quickly became stressful. Mario immediately stepped in with such patience, warmth, and genuine care. Without hesitation, he reassured us that he would make our evening better—and he truly delivered. He thoughtfully arranged for us to move to a more comfortable indoor table, making sure our kids were at ease and that we could actually relax and enjoy the night. What stood out wasn’t just the action, but the way he did it—with humility, kindness, and a calm, friendly presence that completely turned our evening around. On our last night my husband and I booked a private dinner and it was the best food we had our entire stay and that says a lot because we the food was amazing everywhere else. Chef Lucien Pantoflet was phenomenal and even came out to speak to us. Shahir was a our waiter and he was the most wonderful person, super friendly and personal, and on top of that very attentive with our service, he even went above and beyond to get us a cocktail from the other bar because we mentioned we wanted to try it. On top of that they gave us a nice souvenir. It was truly an amazing experience 10/10. Would do it again!!

From the front desk, to the wait staff, to the service on the beach - they teat you like you are their number one guest. The beach is beautiful. We got bumped up to a suite and the room was amazing. I can't say enough about this place. We will definitely be back soon

Although I love this property and it's my favorite Ritz-Carlton, I didn't see any acknowledgment of my loyalty or my multiple stays at the Ritz-Carlton Aruba. No fruit, chocolate, champagne, nothing. The last time I stayed at this hotel, I ended up having 150K or so in Bonvoy points added to my account because of my experience at the beach. Again, like the last stay, I have nothing but compliments for the Pool Staff. I'd give them an 11 out of 10. The Front Desk gets an 8/10. The restaurants 10/10. All of the Hosts, Servers, and Managers 10/10. Maid Service 9/10. Overall, I gave it an 8.5/10. It should be a perfect 10/10, as I expect from my favorite hotel brand, The Ritz-Carlton. I want to come back, and I know that I will. I'm hoping to come back the last week of summer. A couple of side notes for either great or poor service The pool staff went above and beyond to make sure my family had the best time. The employee at the van where you get smoothies and daiquiris provided poor service, no communication, and I had to wait for him to finish his conversation with his girlfriend. Last, there were dirty plates and wet towels on the table just outside the elevator doors on my floor. It was there for over 6 hours. Bathrooms are extremely clean. The Club n/a because I didn't go there, but I remember from previous stays. This is the most beautiful Club Lounge I've personally been to. I will be back! From the very beginning, the Guest Relations Coordinator, Brendon Derival, was incredibly helpful in planning our itinerary, making our trip seamless and stress-free. The dining experiences were equally outstanding. The food at BLT Steakhouse was delicious, with each dish perfectly prepared and beautifully presented. The highlight of our stay was the unforgettable candlelight dinner on the beach. Chef Pantoflet crafted an exceptional four-course meal and even came out to personally speak with us, adding a special and memorable touch to the evening. Evelyn did a wonderful job setting up our table on the sand under enchanting string lights and thoughtfully included a portable speaker to enhance the ambiance. She was warm, friendly, and attentive, ensuring that every detail was perfect. Chef Pantoflet and Evelyn make the perfect team to create the most memorable dining experience. The property is beautiful, located on a quieter stretch of pristine beach. There were plenty of beach chairs and the beach side service was wonderful. We highly recommend this hotel and especially the candlelight beach dinner experience. It was truly magical and made our stay one to remember

Our family of three recently had the absolute pleasure of staying at The Ritz-Carlton, Aruba, and it truly was an exceptional experience from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine warmth and effortless hospitality that made us feel both at home and completely taken care of. The resort itself is beautiful, with a stunning stretch of beach, clear turquoise water, and grounds that are kept in perfect condition. Our room was spacious, spotless, and had incredible ocean views that we never got tired of waking up to. What stood out most throughout our stay was the entire staff. Whether it was house-keeping, a waiter from one of the restaurants, or the concierge, each always greeted us with a smile and a warm hello! Everyone we interacted with was kind, attentive, and genuinely seemed to care about making our stay special.

- ncdel (10/5): Fabulous stay at the Ritz for our family! - Family of 4 (2 teens) had a wonderful stay at the Ritz Carlton Aruba! Our room was clean and view was fantastic (ocean view room), service was fantastic in the lobby, helping with taxis, restaurants, housekeeping, etc. The common spaces & lobby bar/terrace were great and the pools were perfect. One of the reasons we chose the Ritz is because we have 2 gluten free family members and the hotel did not disappoint. Chefs Lucien and Nando both spoke with us on multiple occasions and told us all our options & the preparation of everything and it was wonderful for my daughter to be able to feel comfortable eating at all the restaurants and the pool, and even daily GF waffles/pancakes which isn't always easy to find where we live or even on vacation sometimes. All the servers were fantastic as well, in restaurants and at the pool. Coffee shop was never too crowded and an easy way to start they day. The app for the chairs by pool/beach was easy to use & even without getting on it at the crack of dawn we got chairs/umbrella every day. You do have to get on it early if you want chairs close to the water (no thanks for us b/c of the wind/sand anyway) or the first row by the pool. They don't reserve all of them so you can still get chairs I think as long as you don't wait until the afternoon. We prefer a somewhat quieter resort with less crowds so it was perfect for us, though for those who want to be walking distance to nightlife, lots of restaurants, etc it might be too quiet/mellow. The main restaurant/hotel area of Palm Beach was a $10 taxi ride away, 5-10 min. My only negative is that the shops didn't have much variety in snacks or toiletries/pharmacy options but the Marriott next door had more options (sorry Ritz!). They also didn't have any fun Aruba items like shirts/hats/other doodads, everything was pretty much Ritz branded.

We traveled with our infant and toddler, and the staff truly went above and beyond to make our experience comfortable and enjoyable. They were incredibly attentive to our children—at one point, a staff member even held our baby so I could eat peacefully at the restaurant, which meant so much. Jean Carlo was exceptional—so warm, hospitable, and genuinely caring. He truly elevated our stay and made us feel incredibly welcome. David, the manager, was equally wonderful. He made us feel like old friends from the moment we arrived, which added such a personal touch to the entire experience. The chef also went out of his way to prepare a seafood ceviche for me, even though it wasn’t on the menu—and it was absolutely delicious. Everything about the hotel was top-notch, from the spotless, clean facilities to the outstanding service. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay and are already looking forward to coming back.

This past year, the lobby was being renovated, so things were a little displaced. That said, the service at the beach is great. The waiters roll around on a segway taking and delivering your order. Great drink menu. STK and the sushi bar restaurant are both very good. There are 2 pools- one for families and one more for adults. Sep is not a busy time, so there are plenty of lounge chairs and umbrellas to choose from. That said, my husband gets up early and picks lounges on the first row. Friendly staff and wonderful beach. We will be going back again this September

From the moment he greeted us, his energy, professionalism, and attention to detail stood out. Roel didn’t just bring drinks—he anticipated what we needed before we even asked. Always checking in at the perfect moments, always with a smile, and always making sure we were completely taken care of. He made the entire poolside experience feel elevated, relaxing, and honestly unforgettable. You can tell he genuinely cares about his guests—his service feels personal, warm, and effortless in the best way. Roel is a standout employee and absolutely deserves recognition. Because of him, our day by the pool went from great to amazing. Highly, highly recommend! Also just the kindest person and should be a manger.

- 558beachlover (8/5): Almost Perfect- Sand Bug Bites - We spent 7 nights during March break with our 2 kids. I would give it a full 5 stars and perfect rating if it wasn’t for the sand bug bites we got. We are huge beach lovers and spent the entire holiday on the beach but the bugs kept biting. They do provide bug spray but I don’t want to be baking in the sun with chemicals all over myself and children. The sand had limes and some smaller garbage that should be raked and then sprayed with eco friendly solutions to deter the ants and bugs. Other than the uncomfortable itchy insane bites it was great. Our room was lovely, comfortable, spacious, clean and quiet. Breakfast was nice, loved eating outside minus the annoying birds stealing food. The service was fantastic, great lunches, lovely sea water, delicious food and drinks. Great vibes! Would return if they get the sand bugs under control!

I am an early riser so I was able to easily get chairs at the beach and pool without using an app. Fun to get complimentary frozen cappuccino, fresh watermelon and ice pops at the pool every day. The rooms are spacious and we had a beautiful view. The water is clear and aquamarine. Fun pool floats available. Jun in the restaurant was great. Michelline at the sushi restaurant was also great.

The club-level lounge is totally worth it, and the service is incredible—everyone is so friendly. We appreciated the upgrade and have really been enjoying ourselves. The club level includes cocktail service, not just a free-pour bar rail. We came here about 9 years ago but stayed at a different place. Last time, we visited the private island with the flamingos 🦩, which was beautiful and definitely worth it. This trip is focused on relaxation, and we don’t really plan on leaving the resort. - 824cathyr (10/5): THE RITZ CARLTON ARUBA IS BETTER THAN ANY OTHER RITZ CARLTON!! - My husband and I went to the Ritz Carlton Aruba back in 2015. We had a wonderful time and absolutely loved the hotel. We decided to come back with our kids because of our fond memories, but we weren’t sure if it would be the same. We were pleasantly surprised that it was even better than before. Here are the reasons this place is so amazing: 1) THE STAFF AND SERVICE. Everyone in every single department of this hotel went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. We stayed in a Club floor and our concierge staff were all amazing. The servers in the restaurant, the staff in the fitness center, the beach staff, the pool staff, the casino staff….everyone had a smile on their face and were happy to help. 2) FITNESS CENTER. The gym is clean with top of the line equipment. Wonderful place to work out with plenty of water and towels. 3) THE SPA. I tipped my masseuse Robyn 25%, more than I’ve ever tipped anyone for a spa treatment. I asked her to focus on my neck and upper back and got way more than I expected in a hotel massage. Thank you, Robyn for going above and beyond. 4) THE BEACH AND POOL. The first four days we spent on the beach and it was just lovely. Lots of people but didn’t feel crowded. The beach staff was friendly and quick (just like 11 years ago). We pressed a button and a staff member quickly rode up on a Segway ready to help. And the last day we splurged on a cabana which was incredible. Fresh fruit, comfy chairs, amazing service…we felt like royalty. The staff couldn’t have been nicer. 5) THE CASINO. All the dealers at the tables made our experience so much fun. Whether we won or lost, it was the Ritz Carlton dealers who made the difference. We went every single night and had a blast. 6) THE CLUB FLOOR. We choose the Ritz Carlton Aruba over any other hotel because the club floor is so great. There is so much food, gorgeous view, great drinks and really nice service. It’s really the reason we won’t stay anywhere else. 7) THE ROOMS. We had an oceanfront room (we were upgraded at check-in from an ocean view). The beds are incredible with fluffy duvets and perfect pillows. The room is a perfect size…not too big and not too small and the view is to die for. Such a wonderful change from the Edition in Miami where we stayed 2 nights prior. I want to go back to the Ritz Carlton Aruba year after year. It’s the first time our kids weren’t excited to come home and neither were we.
- deanmG6169SI (8/5): Perfect beach and service. Beware of the Locals on Sunday!! - Overall, excellent hotel - arguably the best on the island. It has the nicest beach, tremendous customer service akin to a Ritz Carlton experience you pay for. I really loved how they provided sun tan lotions, popcorn, and ice pops on the beach. Areas that keep it from a 5 star. Sundays are intolerable because despite paying thousands of dollars to stay each night you are expected to just put up with the locals who park their boats about 50 yards (45 meters) in front of the hotel and blast their music as loud as they want. They effectively have full boat parties every Sundays and apparently other days of the week during parts of the year. I refuse to believe that a multi-billion dollar enterprise has no ability to deal with the noise pollution (my gf and I went to a different beach that day to avoid it because the boombox sound was outrageously loud). Even with your hotel room door closed the noise reverberates. This is a prime reason I am not eager to go back. Also the hotel was not very intelligently designed. Our room was on the opposite side of the hotel with only one elevator group so it was nearly a 5 min walk to and from the elevator each time.

- NYmom16 (2/5): Do not waste your time, money, or energy... worst RC hotel and resort! - My family has stayed at multiple RC properties and destination resorts over many years. The RC Aruba by far had the worst management, service, facilities, and overall terrible guest experience for any traveler. I have also been writing traveler reviews for 22+ years because I believe that people should enjoy their vacations without headache or great worry, which requires hearing the truth. We paid over $1,000 per night for the "coastal view" room - what we did not realize is that coastal view is actually a public parking lot view. Key issues: Dishonest management; overpriced food/drink; long wait times for even 1 drink; NOT for those who enjoy golf, or tennis; limited activities overall; and the room cost is not matched by service or any other onsite experience. Buyer beware: there is nothing "luxury" about this property, Issues are detailed below: room upgrade request: Based on Bonvoy status, we requested a room upgrade upon check-in. We were told that there was no upgrade available for the 4 nights we booked, however likely an opening for the remainder nights, and that someone would be in contact with us the next day. That never occurred and no one ever followed-up. Meanwhile, on the Marriott app, it was clear that upgraded rooms were available and for the remainder of our stay. This was the first sign of dishonesty, which is sadly a constant theme at the RC Aruba. Again. no one contacted us either way. check-in experience: Our room was not ready upon arrival, so we waited until 4pm and ate at the pool grill, at the direction of the front desk. This grill is mediocre at best (over fried and greasy) and overpriced. The $100 RC credit that I receive with the RC credit card was basically utilized at that "waiting "meal. We are convinced that many guests are told their rooms are not ready and then directed to eat (spend $) at one of the on site restaurants, as most are tired after a long flight and do so, especially during this time of year (spring break). The grill and lobby restaurant was essentially filled with many from our flight or other guests clearly waiting for rooms. I cannot imagine that all these rooms they were waiting to clean/turnover were granted a 2pm checkout (the latest checkout/ 1pm is the standard "late" checkout but both by request). room: the rooms could use an upgrade and are dated (not worth the price). The phone did not work. The bathroom doors were scratched and dirty. There was leftover candy stuck to the rug from prior guest. In my marriott profile and as I confirmed with the front desk, a room close to the elevator was requested. Instead, we were provided the farthest room out, quite a long walk down several different hallways, due to "coastal" (aka parking lot) view. There were closer "coastal" rooms. The staff simply does not care about customer service or membership loyalty. When our bags were delivered I requested extra hangers and an extra luggage rack. Those never arrived, ever, during our entire stay. We were told prior to arrival that each room has a mini fridge (our son has medication that required refrigeration). In reality, the mini fridge is pre-stocked with beverages that require purchase (and have sensor for movement) and there is no room for anything else. So, we requested a mini-fridge that arrived 30 minutes after we got to the room, only to be broken, so we received another one eventually - but this all took time away from our 1st day. restaurants: Avoid BLT Steak. We had a major issue with the hostess who represented to us that there were "two seatings". We arrived early for our 8:30pm reservation and asked to be seated early if anything opened- she said impossible due to the "two seatings". Well according to the restaurant manager there are no "seatings". The hostess served many "known" guests prior to us and management claims their reservations were earlier - however I did see the screen and that was another moment of dishonesty - and management continues to defend their lies. NOTE: We were seated at our reservation time (8:31 but only after manager discussion). Yet that was not the issue - the issue was the dishonesty. BLT did offer us a complimentary dessert and a side to help with these issues. During our trip, we ate at other restaurants on the Palm Beach boardwalk path and neighboring Marriotts, which were much better overall. false advertising: The RC Aruba advertises and notes as an event "Papiamento Rum Tasting" in the lobby. Well no staff in the lobby area knew about this at all so we never experienced this "event". Instead, my husband and I went to the outdoor balcony to get drinks. We waited 45 minutes and no service. Not the staff's fault as there was only one server for all the outdoor seating at sunset. concierge: friendly but not helpful at all. They refer to Open Table to make reservations and have no weight with local restaurants. Also, AVOID this hotel if you enjoy golf or tennis. Each require a car or taxi ride. The tennis programming at the main Aruba Racquet Club is minimal. Golf at Tierra del Sol is great - so if you enjoy golf just stay there as that resort is better in every way. Concierge did not help with any of these as well - we emailed or called the clubs directly. There are tennis courts (and pickle ball) and a putting green at the neighboring Marriott Ocean Club but RC guests are not allowed to access or use these at all!! beach: There is an app for beach chair reservations which is glitchy and does not always work. You lose out if you do not reserve by 7am the day prior to, or its first come first serve which requires going to the beach at 7am. Also, do not expect speedy or even average wait time for beach drink and food service. it is exceptionally slow. You might be approached twice to order food/drinks during an entire beach day, even after trying to flag someone for help. Dishonest management: On the evening prior to our last full day at the resort I detailed ALL of our issues to Guest Services in an email. The next day I received a call on my personal mobile from Joseph, the front office supervisor. He asked to meet with me, and so I left the beach and met with him on the ground floor of the building around 3:45pm (timestamped on my phone) that afternoon. I stated to him that I purposely waited to email guest services on our last day to truly evaluate the experience to see if anything would change or resolve - and it did not. I reviewed all the issues noted above again with him, and he stated that they would like to offer us a credit and upon discussion he verbally stated that would be $750 USD which was based on the extent of issues. Well upon checkout there was ZERO credit. After I inquired, the front desk manager made a phone call, and then stated that Joseph had sent me an email the night prior in response to the issues raised. How interesting that I never received this email until after we returned home, and clearly Joseph had my personal mobile phone number because he had called me as we met in person the day prior. In addition, when I received his email, he only addressed the issue at BLT and the room upgrade request. He did not address ANY of the other issues that we experienced or our in-person meeting which was evidenced by others. He never addressed in the email the lack of any follow-up or response by the front desk regarding our upgrade request regardless of whether it was possible or not; nor the lack of receiving requested items; nor the other service issues. I am happy to add a photo of the email exchange should the RC Aruba continue its dishonesty - which is a real pattern that is observed by their responses to the other negative reviews listed. Interestingly. some of the best reviews relate to the bartender near the pool - who was friendly. But note that one drink in a fun pineapple is $55 USD plus tip. SUMMARY: AVOID RC Aruba at all costs because you will never receive close to the full value of the cost! There is little to nothing to do there with overpriced and mediocre food/drinks. Service is very slow. No entertainment or activities. I did not go to the spa other than to buy overpriced Aloe gel so I cannot comment on spa services. RECOMMENDATION: STAY at Joia Aruba by Iberostar (which has the exceptional Tierra del Sol golf); or the St. Regis; or Bucuti & Tara Beach. If you prefer Marriott properties stay at the Marriott Ocean Club Aruba - as they have updated rooms, tennis, putting green, pool, spa, other amenties, and great onsite restaurants with their private beach directly adjacent to the RC! I wish we had this information prior to booking RC Aruba, to salvage the very little time that our family gets to vacation together.

As travelers with strict dietary restrictions, we know that even the most beautiful destination can become stressful if those needs are not clearly understood. Arriving at The Ritz Carlton Aruba for our first visit, we carried both excitement and a quiet uncertainty. What we experienced instead was something remarkable. Our very first evening set the tone for everything that followed. Dinner at BLT Steak on the property was where we first met Executive Sous Chef Nando, along with the wonderful team members Janine, Josie, and Gwen. Within minutes of sitting down, it became clear that this was not going to be a typical dining experience. Chef Nando took the time to understand my dietary restrictions in detail, asking thoughtful questions and reassuring me that he would personally make sure I could enjoy every meal during our stay. In that moment, the anxiety that often accompanies traveling with strict dietary needs simply melted away. We also had the opportunity to briefly meet Executive Chef Awanish during our stay, and it was clear that the level of care and coordination we experienced across the resort reflected the leadership happening behind the scenes. From that very first night, it was evident that the entire culinary team was aligned in making sure my needs were not just accommodated but genuinely cared for. What followed over the next several days was something truly special. Chef Nando did not simply take care of us that first evening. He made it his personal mission to ensure that no matter which restaurant we visited throughout the resort, my dietary needs were clearly understood and thoughtfully accommodated. He communicated with his culinary teams across the property so that every dining experience felt effortless and welcoming rather than stressful. What became clear throughout our stay was that this level of attentiveness was not just one person going above and beyond, but a culture of service shared across the entire Ritz Carlton team. What impressed us most was that Chef Nando personally checked in throughout our stay, making sure everything was being handled exactly as promised. And then came one of the most memorable surprises of our trip. Knowing that desserts are rarely an option for me, Chef Nando created a beautiful chocolate cake that I could safely enjoy. Each evening we found ourselves sitting on the veranda, overlooking the glow of the ocean while live music drifted through the warm island air, sipping wine and sharing that incredible cake together. For someone who rarely gets to enjoy dessert, it was not just delicious, it was deeply thoughtful and something I will remember long after the trip itself. The care did not stop at dinner. Each morning, Chef Lucien made sure that breakfast was something I could enjoy without hesitation, once again removing the stress that dietary restrictions can sometimes bring to travel. When we planned an early morning deep sea fishing excursion, Lyn went out of her way to help arrange breakfast and snacks to take with us so that I could head out for the adventure without worrying about finding something safe to eat. Down at the beach bar each afternoon, Harold, Cezar, and Yousef welcomed us with warm smiles and the kind of hospitality that makes you feel less like a guest and more like an old friend returning. They took such great care with our lunches, making sure everything was prepared perfectly while greeting us each day like family. Out on the beach, the care continued in the most effortless way. Essmainlin “Smiley” and another wonderful Harold took incredible care of us each day, always appearing at just the right moment with a fresh towel, a drink, or simply a warm smile to check in and see if we needed anything. Their attentiveness never felt intrusive, only thoughtful and genuine. It created that rare feeling where you can completely relax because you know everything is being taken care of. And when the day came to an end, we would return to a room that felt refreshed and perfectly prepared for the evening. The housekeeping team did a beautiful job each day, and their evening turndown service truly felt like a warm hug after a day in the sun. The Ritz Carlton Aruba is undeniably beautiful. Turquoise water, stunning sunsets, and an immaculate property create the kind of setting most travelers dream about. But what truly makes this place extraordinary is the people. From the culinary team to the beach staff and the many team members working behind the scenes, we felt genuinely welcomed and cared for throughout our stay. Chef Nando’s leadership and genuine care for his guests represent hospitality at its very best. In the end, Aruba gave us the beauty, but the people at The Ritz Carlton Aruba gave us the memories.

There are no ramps down to the bar and out to the backarea to watch the sunset. We were there with someone in a wheelchair and it was not easy to get the person to the back area to see the sunset. We love going to this bar area, it’s a shame it’s not handycap accessible.

I’ve had wonderful experiences at most but I must say since Marriott took over the brand it’s just a glorified Marriott without the prestige attention to customer service . I still carry and use a Ritz Carlton credit card . No one today realizes the prestige that card once held . I spent the majority of my time putting out customer service problems stemming from pure lack of training and ridiculous rules such as “dynamic pricing” in regard to spa services when you are given a starting price I found out even with no add one they can name their spa prices at whim . Depends on capacity , the time of day , ridiculous so do not trust the pricing . The app for getting chairs at the pool is ridiculous you can’t possibly know what you’re booking in advance and when you figure it out you need to jump through hoops to get your chairs booked properly . They threaten to fire people if you ask a day in advance a real person not the app. It’s maddening . No one knew what the right hand was doing . And I’m a platinum elite member the upgrade I was entitled to was laughable and they said the Latin Ritz Carlton’s run different, they sure do . For the prices such as virgin cocktails at 17.00 a pop and just no sense of the old Ritz ladies and gentleman , I will go to the Hyatt next trip . This one is all glamor and glitz but absolutely no substance to show it was indeed a poor substitute for the real thing .

We have traveled the world and stayed at some truly spectacular properties. Yet we continue to choose The Ritz-Carlton Aruba as our favorite place because it genuinely feels like home. When the staff says “welcome home,” it is not a scripted greeting. It is a feeling that is reinforced through every conversation, every thoughtful gesture, and every moment of care throughout the stay. This was our fourth visit in the past two and a half years. We already have another trip booked later this year, this time bringing our two sons. That alone speaks volumes. The people are what make this property extraordinary. David Coster treats us like family from the moment we arrive. His warmth and leadership are felt throughout the entire resort. Each morning at Solanio starts with Kate’s smile. She greets us like old friends and even shares pictures of her niece, which makes breakfast feel personal and joyful. Jun, Edward, and Janet at Solanio are top notch, attentive, kind, and consistently excellent. Angela at Casa Nonna is remarkable. She will work with the chef to create special dishes that are not even on the menu just to make your evening perfect. Jean Paul ensures everything runs seamlessly there, and Jeanine at BLT runs an exceptional restaurant with professionalism and grace. Youssef, whether at Madero or greeting guests near the bus stop, is always welcoming and engaging. Sor in housekeeping surprised us with extra chocolates to bring home to our boys. It was such a thoughtful touch and meant more than she probably knows. And Susana, who oversees the property, ensures that excellence is delivered at every turn. The beach is breathtaking. Wide, pristine, and swimmable with calm, crystal clear water. The weather is as predictable and perfect as anywhere in the Caribbean. Sunshine, steady trade winds, and that unmistakable Aruba glow. The rooms are beautiful and meticulously maintained. The dining across the property is outstanding. But what truly sets this place apart is the heart behind the hospitality. When you combine one of the most beautiful beaches in the world, consistently gorgeous weather, and a team that makes you feel like you belong, why look anywhere else? For us, it is total perfection. We leave rested, grateful, and already counting down the days until we return. This is not just a resort to us. It is home.
- bizzle2002 (10/5): Wonderful luxury stay for families! - We had a magical time during our second visit to the RC Aruba (we also stayed there in February 2023). The property really does a fantastic job of making all guests, including families, feel welcome. My wife and I were greeted with a welcome drink as soon as we entered the lobby. Our kids were greeted with welcome gifts--including a backpack and activity books. We also love that this property has 2 swimming pools--one for adults only and one for families. This is great, because it ensures that nobody will ever complain about the activities of kid playing in the "family" swimming pool. The water was the perfect temperature and they provide constant poolside service from about 11am-6pm. In addition to what you can order, the hotel does a great job of making you feel like luxury by offering free giveaways. Usually there was a free foodcart in the lobby in the afternoon--one day they were given away crudite and another day was mini belgian pancakes. Then, at the pool, they gave away popcorn and snowcones around 1pm and then ice pops for the kids around 3pm. Bottled water is also free and plentiful. The beach is spectacular--a large private space just for hotel guests. The water was the perfect temperature for swimming and the hotel offers free swim activities (kayaks, canoes, paddleboards) available for guests. We took advantage of the kayaks on two occasions. The rooms were well kept and there was daily housekeeping service as well as evening turndown service. We dined at Soliano several times for breakfast--which has both a luxurious buffet as well as a great a la carte option. We also had dinner at Casa Nonna and BLT Steak. Both were great meals that had a number of kid-friendly as well as vegetarian-friendly options. A few times my wife and I ended the night with a drink in the lobby bar--which was lively and included live music. I'd like to highlight the stellar work of both Jose and Angelique. Jose runs the mixology bus in the courtyard--he is a beverage wizard! He made us some of the most amazing cocktails and mocktails that I had ever seen or tasted. Also, two of our kids did an activity in the kids club and Angelique made sure that they had a fantastic time. This was a great respite to them at the right time, because the heat was getting to them at that point. So they enjoyed 3 hours of air conditioning and indoor activities. We had a wonderful time during our 2nd visit and most definitely anticipate returning for a 3rd stay in a year or two!

My issue is the food. Not decent not ok Bad! Lunch was returned due to overcooked and clearly frozen Mahi with a mayo heavy Caesar dressing. Worst in a long time Switched for a house salad with shrimp. Dressing goopy sweet and salty over the top Shrimp NOT cleaned Dinner we tried the sushi and shrimp tempura truly inauthentic and not enjoyable On a positive note the breakfast buffet was very good but we will be going off property for the rest of the meals

Jose exemplifies what it means to stay at the Ritz Carlton with his professionalism, class, grace and extreme attention to detail. Highly recommend

We stayed four nights as Marriott Titanium Elite and were automatically upgraded to a 1 bedroom executive suite with a massive oceanfront balcony - it had two padded sun loungers, a table and two entry points to the room. Breathtaking views! And it was decorated on arrival with amenities to celebrate our anniversary. Everyone at the resort was beyond friendly and attentive to the guests. The interior, amenities and grounds were beautiful and well-maintained. We sat at the adults only pool each day and wandered down to the beach occasionally. Service at the pools was fast and friendly; pool attendants and servers remembered guests’ names throughout their stay, greeted them and frequently checked on them. Reserving pool or beach chairs can be done one day in advance on the resort’s app but if you aren’t clicking to reserve at exactly the moment chairs are released each day, they get taken. In that case, you may need to get up early to be assured of securing a first come first serve set of chairs. This was no problem for me as I get up early but it’s something to be keenly aware of if having chairs at a certain pool or the beach is important to you. As for the restaurants, the resort has three places that serve dinner. BLT was by far the best - delicious popovers and equivalent steak quality to locations in the U.S. Way beyond our expectations for a Caribbean location! If we’d stayed for a week, we’d have liked another restaurant option or two on site but we heard that guests do like to venture out to local restaurants and other hotel restaurants. I am a distance runner and used the fitness center nearly every day - it was kept at a cool temp appropriate for working out (not typical in the Caribbean in my experience) and all equipment was new and working. The fitness center was also stocked with fruit, water, snacks and wet and dry towels. I also visited the salon twice and was immediately taken back for my service, which was also fast. We used a car service arranged by the Ritz to pick us up drop us off at the hotel/airport - they were easy to find when we landed and fast and efficient. We’ve visited many other Caribbean islands and stayed at other superb properties as well but, even with all those comparisons, Aruba’s weather and the Ritz-Carlton Aruba’s service is incredibly tough to beat. We will return!

From check in to check out the people are warm and friendly, the property is impeccable and every need is anticipated before you know you have it. What has been a staple on our last two vacations is a daily drink (or two!) from the Bus Stop. Jose is a masterful mixologist and could whip up a fabulous drink with just asking us what ingredients we were in the mood for that day. I had something different each day! He greeted us with a smile and remembered us day to day. Do not miss a stop at this place! We hope to be back next year to continue the memories!

I am writing this review, specifically, about the little VW bus on the beach at the Ritz Carlton. This is the BEST place on the island to get a piña colada or Mojito, in my opinion. There’s a lovely gentlemen by the name of Jose, who always greets you with a beautiful smile and whips up the best cocktail you’ve ever had in your life. It’s a little bit on the pricey side, but you really get a nice volume that equals about two drinks, which makes it an excellent bang for the buck THIS IS A “DO NOT MISS” STOP. Send Jose my best ; )

The grounds are beautiful, the beach prestige, the food delicious, the rooms lovely and updated, but it is truly the staff at the Ritz Carlton that deserves the credit (and thanks) for our unparalleled vacation. We celebrated our 32nd anniversary and every staff member went above and beyond to make our stay special. From extra chocolate on our pillows from the room staff, to Juan’s remembering our drink order each day, to Lynn and Claudia greeting us warmly each day at breakfast. Josh at the front desk could not have been more gracious and helpful. Everything truly was truly exemplary. A special shout out to both Melissa and Shaniqua at the beach towel hut. These women went above and beyond to greet us, chat with us and make us feel welcomed each and every day. The Ritz hires the best people and it shows. As gorgeous as the property is, what made our visit was phenomenal was the caring and professional staff. One Happy Island is Aruba’s exactly right slogan. The Ritz will now be an annual destination for our anniversary celebration. We cannot wait to return.

Except for the food. Which was terrible. At best, a 3/10. If you order anything hot, The kitchen is on the low ever level,so expect cold. They recently changed the menu, and not for the better. The “smash burger” and fries served without mustard, salt, pepper or ketchup. But it did come with mayo. The quesadillas, not very good at all and sour cream is extra $. So, great view, good drinks, reasonable service, poor selection of food, terrible quality and Ritz’s prices.

The wedge salad was horrible. Brown lettuce, tasteless buttermilk dressing, no onions. Fatty grisly pork belly. 3 dime size scallops that weren't cooked properly. $30.00 way overpriced . I will say the salmon entre was good. Waiter was horrible never asked how the food was or did we need anything. Didn't know about drinks or food when asked. Only tried pushing drinks on you when you still had a half full drink. When asked for the bill he walked by and basically through the bill on the table. Not worth $250
- 665krism (10/5): Great stay - We had a wonderful stay at the Ritz, traveling as a couple with our 23- and 24-year-old daughters. The service was exceptional from start to finish. We spent most of our time by the pool and especially loved the morning chocolate smoothies. We also enjoyed a yoga class, ordered room service, and dined on sushi and at BLT—every experience was excellent. The hotel was exactly what we expected, and perhaps even more so. It’s quiet, elegant, and incredibly relaxing. By the end of our five-night stay, my husband was getting a bit restless, and I suspect that if we had boys, they might have been bored. The atmosphere is very posh but subdued—no music at the pool and no true outdoor bar scene to linger at. That said, if you’re looking for a peaceful, refined escape, this hotel delivers beautifully.

- J8680CUedb (4/5): Lack of concern for Safety - The hotel is amazing but the concern for guest safety is seriously lacking. My wife is on a girls only trip and staying in a first floor room with patio. She checked in on Thursday evening and on Friday reported that the patio sliding door is not locking. Friday night the door was still not locking. I instructed her to place the two chairs in the way of the door sliding open to provide a small level of security. She left a note in the room on Saturday morning about the door being broken and still no response from the staff to ensure her safety. How hard is it to even just get a broom handle and cut it to length to drop in the track and prevent the door from being opened. I will post the room number once her stay is completed to ensure future guest safety. I encourage everyone to fully check your room to make sure you ensure your own safety!

The property is still fairly new and still has a few kinks to iron out surrounding service, hospitality and a few other things. The beach area is very small and not the cleanest. - pniz2018 (10/5): Paradise Found! - I’ve never written a review for TripAdvisor before, but I had such a wonderful and memorable experience with my family at this property, I had to share. We were here only 2 days and wish we could stay more. It started with a very friendly and efficient service with Ray at the front desk. He noticed we were a family of four and without our requesting, he looked into getting a room with two beds, even though we initially reserved a room with 1 king bed and sofabed due to limited availability. He was even able to move us to a room with full ocean view instead of partial, and the view was spectacular! On the beach, Stefan (PM shift) and John (AM shift) took very good care of us by setting up our beach chairs and umbrella in the perfect location. But on the Ritz beach, any location is perfect. The lounge chairs are all cushioned and comfy. It was also easy to get a free paddle board and floating ring in the water. The fitness center has huge variety of equipment and weights. I’ve been to a lot of hotel gyms anroubd the world, and this one offered the most out of any so far! I was happily excited to see a battle rope! Finally, our best experience was in the club lounge. Sergio took great care of us by attending to all our questions and requests. I don’t think the word No is in his vocabulary. The staff is attentive to your every need, and Rose remembered all our names, especially our kids. Agnes and Rico also took great care of us. There were such wide variety of food and desserts offered from 7 AM until 10 PM that we rarely ventured out and were able to spend more quality time on the beautiful beach and grounds which were kept sp pristine. Sand was always swept away from walkways and lobbies coming in from the beach. Splurge for the extra luxury, anttention and service at this remarkable hotel!

Stay elsewhere. - First of all, the two star review is based on past experiences at the Ritz...not apples to apples with a Fairfield. The front of the house staff was just not friendly at all. At other Ritz, they strive to learn your name. Here, you don't even get a good morning when you pass the clerk and you're the only two people in the lobby. My wife and I received a nice beach bag in honor of my Marriott status. The note was inscribed to the wrong guest. We went down to the front desk and told them that our feelings were not hurt at all at all, but we wanted to make sure that this other person got their bag. The front desk agent walked us over to the concierge. We reiterated that it wasn't a big deal to us. We're super laid back Midwesterners that look people in the eye and try to treat others with respect and empathy. She must've been embarrassed, because she became very rude. My wife asked her the best way to get to the beach during our stay (as it was our first day and first stay at the property). She pointed through the lobby, past the lobby bar, out of a side door, through a patio, and down a staircase way over to the side. Then she turned her attention away from us as if she was inconvenienced to answer the most frequently asked question at the property. First of all, that is, in no way, the simplest way to get to the beach. There is an elevator to the ground floor that let's you out right by the pool/beach area. The idea that you would trudge through the lobby in your bathing suit is preposterous. The staff at the beach were kind and very hard working. The hot tub was broken during our stay, but they fixed it. I can't tell you how many places I stay where the hot tub is permanently out of order while they claim to be "working on it." That was a very pleasant surprise. The weird part is that you cannot get a towel after 6 pm. WTH? The sun wasn't even down yet. What's the point in lighting up the pools and hot tub if you don't provide towels? They clearly did not want to encourage people to use them. Maybe for noise purposes? Also, one, averaged size hot tub is insufficient for a resort this size. We had eight people and it was uncomfortable/awkward. There were ample opportunities to increase engagement with the property. They could have hosted games in the outside bar like gin, trivia, etc. I understand that it's a Ritz, but you can connect travelers without partying. We spent less money at this resort than any we have ever stayed at because there was literally no reason to stay here other than sleep. The service and food at the BLT steakhouse was great! We really enjoyed it, and the jalapeno mashed potatoes were to die for. I would definitely not recommend this property. I am a Marriott Ambassador with a ton of points and was looking for a Ritz, St. Regis, etc in the Caribbean. While Aruba is nice enough, I would recommend trying a different island and definitely a different hotel. For perspective, I've traveled to all 50 states, dozens of countries, have over 100 hotel nights per year, eat out all the time, and this is the first review I've ever written. It was that ehh.

Our overall experience was good, but I was expecting it to be great for the cost and name. Pro's: Lots of staff. There was a lot of staff everywhere, beach staff, front desk, breakfast service- expect Noori (sushi bar in lobby, will get to that in my cons) Beach is nice. Good amount of chairs, not too busy however we did have to reserve ahead of time otherwise there aren't many options. We particularly love the beaches in Turks and Caicos, so this one was a little rocky for us, but otherwise it was a 9/10. Property is clean, room was clean and nice Lovely music entertainment each night outside Con's: The food. Let me start by saying I am NOT a foodie, and neither is my husband. I had such high expectations for the food and it was meh, one of our meals was inedible. From the beach bar we had, chicken quesadillas, Caesar salad, fish tacos, watermelon salad and tuna tostada. Of those, both salads were fine, nothing was great, maybe good. The tuna tostada was bad. The tuna looked bad, tasted bad, the quality was absolutely not what I'd expect from a rc. My local sushi restaurant in DC is 10x better. We had buffet breakfast included, it paled in comparison to turks. Taste, quality etc. was meh. We had a dinner at BLT which was good (not great). Noori- the sushi bar was good, but still not as good as turks. Also, it took at least 30 mins (not exaggerating) to get 1 roll and 2 orders of sashimi on a Monday night- literally this is raw food, there is no cooking required. Overall for the cost I think we're less likely to stay here again considering there are SO many hotel options within a 5 min drive.

We absolutely loved the deluxe ocean front! The views in that room will forever be with me! Thank you so much! Also thanks to Alfredo who was always helpful at the front desk, Dylwin who always checked up on us at the beach and Anne & Kate at breakfast every morning! Those who like to venture off property, it’s $8 a cab ride to the Hilton area. It’s a tiny bit more after 10pm or on Sundays. Most drivers are honest but we did have 2 that changed us $12 and $14 which we found was not very honest. Fisherman’s Hut, Daniel’s Steak and Chop, Tango and taco Tuesday at Lola’s were all great!!

- F5192ZSchristinea (10/5): Excellent!!! - The moment we arrived at The Ritz-Carlton, Aruba it was like arriving home. My wife and I were met with the most genuinely friendly staff and our Casino Host Rino Kuiperi. Rino invited us as part of the Black Jack Tournament in October. I was very excited about this opportunity. The staff was very attentive to our needs. Even after meeting them for moments they remembered my name. The level of service was truly amazing. Every staff member was very attentive and eager to help without feeling intrusive. The room was very spacious, clean and spectacular views of the ocean. We loved the turndown service with the chocolates. The proximity to the white sand beach was so great and many lounge chairs were available all day. The service on the beach and pool was amazing. The guys on the Segways were very impressive with the service. We dined at all the restaurants and they were amazing. The waitstaff was very attentive to us. Very professional and friendly. My wife had a massage with Wendy and had to go back for another one because she was so happy with the massage. She said it was one of the best massages she as received. The staff in the spa were excellent. The concierge team was incredible helpful with making reservations and making recommendations for local places to eat. The overall atmosphere was so incredible giving us time to unwind and relax that we can't wait to go for our next visit.
- F7851PIdavidr (10/5): Peaceful Paradise - We had the greatest time ever at this resort. The people - the facilities - the service - all unmatched. We arrived and was greeted with warmth - and a glass of champagne! We stayed in an Oceanfront Executive Suite - which was beautiful - overlooking the courtyard/pool area. At nights a musician played as the sun was setting- breathtaking. Having been to Aruba several times before - we never found the need to leave the property. We spent most of time relaxing by the adult pool and enjoyed ocean swims. The main reason was the incredible service of the pool and beach staff. Thank you Lydonn and Jonathan for making my birthday (week) so memorable. They did everything possible to ensure our enjoyment - they are truly special people who my family and I now consider friends. We enjoyed all the restaurants on property - our favorite being Cassa Nonna- which we enjoyed several times. Thanks to the marvelous Ria who served us - amazing and talented , always bringing joy to our table. The only negative about the place - is leaving. Hope to return soon to our Aruba family.

I had a medical emergency while staying there and they went above and beyond to act quickly and get me all the help I needed! The staff were so caring and kind to me! Our stay was complete perfection! We always recommend Aruba and the Ritz Carlton and we are already looking forward to next time!! Thank you all so much for all you did to make it so memorable!! ☀️🌴❤️

- Squish34 (2/5): Declining Marriott Property - I have stayed at this resort 5 times over the last 18 months. This has been my favorite go to property to escape the cold New England weather. Apparently there is new management and service is declining unfortunately. I am a Bonvoy elite gold member and I leverage this membership for frequent visits. Unfortunately, on our most recent stay, we did not receive the automatic room upgrade upon arrival (Bonvoy perk) but were promised this on night two by 4pm (south tower high floor in attached image section 4 circled by Ritz employee). When it was time to upgrade our room on day 2, they offered us a room that wasn’t what was promised at check in and charged us more to get a room on this side of the property that wasn’t facing construction at the next door Marriott. I am extremely disappointed by this experience.
- mmshedd (10/5): Service is beyond exceptional - Came back to celebrate our 33 anniversary. Our first trip back since our honeymoon. The Ritz did not disappoint. From the moment you arrive you are special. We had our first dinner at the sushi bar in the lounge. Thoroughly enjoyed. Last morning we had the breakfast buffet in the Solanio restaurant. Again service and selection was great. We spent the week relaxing in beach chairs with incredible natural & umbrella shade. The location is perfect. Far enough down the beach to be quiet however close enough to walk back from dinner on the path. Morning walks on the sidewalk all the way to the lighthouse is possible and gorgeous views. A few mentions that truly created one of the best trips we have had. First “Buzz” who we met the moment we arrived. Provided great service, restaurant recommendations and one of the nicest people you will meet. Daniel at the towel hut helped us maneuver how to go about getting beach chairs. Finally Dillon! If you have a chance to meet him you should. He provided us with exceptional service and was a joy to spend time just talking too, even coordinated a special lunch with the chef at Madeira for me. Truly a gift to the Ritz. We could not have picked a better place to celebrate our return to Aruba. It won’t take us 33 years to return!

- wallstmamajj (10/5): Another Perfect Trip - My husband and I had perfect week with our daughter, son in law and grandson in the concierge floor. Prior to our visit, concierge Sergio helped get us set up for the baby and Christian helped with dinner reservations. Once in the lounge, Rico, Agnes, Arelys, Rose, Brian and Zion treated us like family and my grandson as one of their own. 2 special shoutouts for this visit…..Bibiana who took care of rooms 7214 and 7215 and Gladys who brought me curated lunches. Both went above and beyond and need to be acknowledged. Thank you for another fabulous vacation. We will see you again soon!
- patrikk335 (4/5): Disappointing Experience - Staying at the Ritz-Carlton in Aruba for the first time after two previous visits to the island was a highly anticipated experience, especially given our wonderful stay at the Ritz in the Cayman Islands. Unfortunately, this trip fell short of expectations in several key areas. Upon check-in, we were informed that we would have an oceanfront view room. While we generally spend little time in our room, it's always a nice bonus. However, we were surprised to find ourselves given a limited view room instead. It felt misleading to promise one thing and deliver another, which set a somewhat disappointing tone for our stay. The beach area staff were friendly and did their best to provide good service, but the overall experience left much to be desired. The wait times for food and drinks were frustratingly long. On multiple occasions, we found ourselves waiting 45 minutes for drinks, only to discover that our waiter had forgotten our order. This happened on different days, which was disheartening for a property of this caliber. Additionally, the staff rarely checked in with us throughout the day, which meant we often had to get up and seek service ourselves. At one point, we decided to venture further down the beach for lunch, where the food was not only better but also significantly more affordable. The inconsistency in drink quality was another point of concern. For example, my wife would order a frozen cappuccino, and while it was prepared perfectly one day, the next day it was completely unrecognizable. This lack of consistency was frustrating, especially considering we were paying over $20 for each drink. We never complained or made a fuss, instead choosing to go with the flow, but perhaps we should have voiced our concerns given the prices we were paying. Moreover, the cleanliness of the beach area was noticeably lacking. Each morning, we would arrive to claim our beach chairs, which we reserved through the app, only to find plastic debris and cups littering the ground beneath our seats. There were even pieces of plastic stuck in the little tables next to our chairs. It was clear that the area hadn’t been cleaned the night before. One would expect that a resort of this caliber would ensure that the beach was racked and tidied up to remove branches, leaves, and garbage, but that wasn’t the case. While not a major issue in the grand scheme of things, it did contribute to the overall impression that the Ritz-Carlton Aruba was falling short of the standards we anticipated. Overall, the beach service at the Ritz-Carlton Aruba was disappointing and did not meet the high standards we had expected based on our previous experiences. Given the range of options available in Aruba, I would likely choose a different resort for future trips. For those considering the Ritz for a special occasion or honeymoon, be advised that despite the luxurious branding, the service may not live up to the expectations set by other Ritz properties. While we have fond memories of our time at the Ritz in the Cayman Islands and have enjoyed other stays at Ritz locations, the Aruba experience has left us feeling that there are better options on the island.

- robkH3257FJ (10/5): The Ritz-Carlton in Aruba is fantastic - I booked this resort based on price and reviews. It is pricey, but there is a reason for that. The hospitality was tremendous and the food was fantastic. I cannot rave enough about both. Every employee we encountered was pleasant, courteous, and always asked how our stay was going. Ben from Guest Services was fantastic and assisted us with making reservations for the restaurants. The hotel is beautiful, clean, and has that new feel to it. The rooms were decent, clean, and spacious. We stayed on the 5th floor with a partial ocean view. The beds were comfortable, and the bathrooms were spacious and had a stand-up shower and oversized tub. It is the Ritz, so be prepared to spend money. Food and drinks are on the high side in price, but the quality is there. The bar adjacent to the lobby is vibrant and has access to an outside sitting area. They host a sunset toast every day. I believe this is part of the sushi restaurant Noor. The on-site Italian restaurant, Casa Nonna, had some of the best Italian food I have had. We went twice. Who would think that Italian in Aruba would be this good? The on-site steakhouse, BLT, wasn't too shabby, either. The Madero Pool & Beach Grill for lunch had amazing sandwiches and apps. The Pina Colada, which has a shot of dark rum on top, hit the spot with lunch. The beach was amazing and clean. There were plenty of beach chairs and umbrellas for this time of year(Oct). No getting up at the crack of dawn to get your chairs. The sand was soft, and the water was perfect. Little to no seaweed(more like sea grass), and the water is easy to get in and out of, with no big dips or slopes. The water depth is consistent all the way out to the marked swimming buoy lines. They do charge a $90 a day resort fee, which includes access to paddle boards and other water equipment. On the beach, they have staff who zoom around on Segways to provide drink and food service to you. The pools were nice, but the water was too warm and not refreshing. In my opinion, the beach is the way to go. There is a casino with approximately 10 - 12 table games and plenty of slot machines.
- sh0llye (10/5): Lovely hotel and great service! - The service at the pool and beach was exceptional! Everyone was overly polite and amenable. Our room was beautiful and well kept. I think my only issue with the hotel would be the outside dining. Too many birds flying onto the tables to get the food. Perhaps screening in all the outdoor spaces for the restaurants would be a much better option! You still get the feel of outdoors but just not the crazy birds pecking at the tables of food.

- L9943PIandrewt (10/5): Mixology Bus Bar outside of Ritz - I’ve been coming to Aruba for the last 8 years and one thing I never forget to do is go to the mixology bar at the Ritz. Jose has been there for as long as I can remember and he makes the best drinks. Personal favorite is the spicy mango margarita but nevertheless it’s always going to be good no matter what you get. Everyone should give this bar a try. It won’t disappoint!

They started beach chairs rentals via the app which we weren't aware of. I wish it was communicated when we checked it as to when it will start.

Our room was already prepared when we arrived, and for our anniversary night, they had balloons in the room. We will be going back to the Ritz-Carlton on our next visit. Hunt

Our room was ocean view and we enjoyed the unobstructed view of the pool and beach. Prepare for pricey cocktails and food. We enjoyed our stay.
