Breakfast was freash and great choice. The staff were so friendly from check in to breakfast, full of chat and stories really impressed. I could not find fault on the Hillgrove, it was good value for money.

- Thomas (2/5): Nicht empfehlenswert - Sehr netter Empfang Es roch sehr modrig und schimmelig im ganzen Zimmer. Alle Zimmertüren nicht belegter Zimmer standen offen worüber wir uns kurzzeitig wunderten uns jedoch dann klar wurde,dass dies zum ,,Durchlüften“ gedacht war, das die Räume beim ersten Betreten nicht zu modrig riechen. Der Geruch lies sich auch nicht durch die dauerhaft gekippten Fenster an denen es schimmelte vertreiben. Das Zimmer war staubig, die Ausstattung sehr einfach. Das Bett war unbequem und wir haben usb einfach nicht wohlgefühlt, so dass wir nach der ersten Nacht ausgecheckt sind und eine andere Unterkunft in Dingle gebucht haben. Schade um das verlorene Geld; jedoch konnten wir so unseren Resturlaub wenigstens noch genießen. Wir können die Unterkunft nicht weiterempfehlen!

- Kathryn (8/5): Comfortable, quiet and lovely staff - Good spot for our quick visit. The guesthouse was comfortable and within walking distance to restaurants, shops and pubs. Stephen made us feel very welcome on check in and gave recommendations for places to eat and see. Our breakfast was very good and freshly cooked and staff were lovely. Happy to recommend a visit to Hillgrove Guesthouse

- Renee (8/5): A Relaxing Base with True Irish Hospitality - Our stay at Hillgrove Guesthouse was a relaxing and comfortable experience. While it is slightly removed from the central area, this location made it feel safe and peaceful, with the convenience of a Lidl grocery store across the street for picking up wine and snacks. The guesthouse itself is somewhat dated, though the bathroom had been recently renovated. Our room was clean and comfortable; the beds were very good, though the furniture could use updating. Check-in was easy and the staff were exceptionally friendly. Stephen, who was on nights when we returned, truly exemplified Irish hospitality; warm, welcoming and full of helpful tips on what to see and do in the area. The location is excellent, just under 1 km to the information centre on the harbour. After reading some reviews beforehand, we were apprehensive but our experience was great. Hillgrove Guesthouse offers a comfortable stay with a touch of true Irish hospitality.

We were immediately familiarized with the area, personally shown to our room and shown the hotel features along the way. We only stayed one night but regretted we hadn’t booked for more. Steve our host was witty, kind, helpful and oh so representative of the well known Irish hospitality! The room was so clean, the bathroom so modern, nothing amiss with the stay at all. Amanda on reception was brilliant, bikes were safely stored, relevant information was given all with a smile on her face and a very friendly approach. very quiet at night a good breakfast in the morning. A great stay.
- SM (8/5): Park your car, check in, take the suggestions if offered and explore Dingle! :) - Amanda welcomed us and all of her lovely suggestions proved rewarding. Thank you! The room was adequate with several little touches that were not found elsewhere. Very clean! The renovated bathroom was 10/10! (The best on the trip.) The bar is for guests and is open until 2230. We opted out of breakfast but enjoyed fresh coffee and rolls at the Dingle Bean. Parking is easy at the Guesthouse and a very easy walk to village center and waterfront. Great location and we loved Dingle! Hillgrove has seen a few years but the upgrades are notable although furnishings are dated. No view from our window, just a wall. However, you are made to feel welcome by their excellent staff and that is important.

- Danielle (4/5): Tried to avoid the receptionist at all costs - Receptionist made us very uncomfortable from the check in onwards. Some very unusual questions asked which were not asked of guests checking in ahead of us. Overbearing, very uncomfortable and judgemental vibe. Prolonged period of other guests screaming and shouting during the night. No official check out to address any of the issues.

- Linda (9/5): Idea for a trip to dingle, walking distance to town - Short distance walk to the town, Stephen was very nice and welcomed us, insisted on bringing bags to room. Just lovely friendly welcoming accommodation.would recommend
- Deborah (7/5): - Das Personal beim Empfang sowie beim Frühstück waren sehr freundlich. Das Bett war leider an einer Stelle mit Tape "repariert",das Badezimmer aber ganz nett. Nicht ganz so modern eingerichtet, Ausnahme, die Deko. Das Frühstück war sehr gut, man hatte div. Müslie, Joghurt, Säfte, Hörnchen und Brote auch getostet und im Preis dabei war ein Frühstück zum Bestellen. Der Bagel mit Lachs sowie die Waffeln mit Obst und Schokocreme waren lecker.
