Guest Reviews
- anne (10/5): - Amazing!! The owners were so friendly and accommodating. Their home is beautiful as well as their landscaping. Breakfast was delicious. Everything was homemade.
- John (10/5): Countryside gem - Excellent throughout - a little gem
- Verified traveler (6/5): Overrated - I’m sure this place offers more in the summer with tennis, golf, and lake activities. But not so much in winter. The room is very plain and the breakfast is more so. We were expecting a great breakfast and warm welcome from the other reviews, but were very disappointed.
- Thomas (10/5): - Great visit
- James (10/5): - Pearl could not have been a more gracious hostess! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this facility!!!
- Michelle (10/5): - Pearl made amazing breakfasts with homemade breads. Nice spot to stop on your way from east to west Ireland.
- RICHARD (10/5): Highly recommend The Arches - The host (Pearl) was extremely pleasant and welcoming. The entire house is tastefully furnished and immaculately clean. The view of the farm fields is outstanding and the grounds are gorgeous. Breakfast was delicious with farm fresh eggs and all the accompaniments of a full Irish breakfast. Coffee that we take black was excellent. Would not hesitate to return.

The best part of our stay was the Host, she was engaging, paid so much attention to details, and a fabulous cook.
- Matthew (10/5): - Lovely stay, nice owner and good cooked breakfast.
Tennis court, crazy golf and game room onsite.
Plenty of water during the stay.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Lovely place.

- Lisa (8/5): Wonderful stay - Pearl the owner was lovely, she made us feel very welcome and told is lots about the local area. The breakfast was outstanding, with her home made scones and bread.
- Ronald (10/5): Outstanding! - Outstanding! Pearl and Wilson were wonderful hosts. We found out about The Arches while we were staying in another B&B near Belfast. The breakfasts, the view, the friendliness, the location, the cleanliness of the rooms, the tranquility - all superb. Pearl was able to provide us with so much local knowledge and information. We can most definitely recommend The Arches should you be contemplating staying in the area.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Extremely helpful owner. and very peacefull setting , even though finding property was difficult without navman
- Christopher (10/5): Lovely farmhouse - We stayed 2 nights while attending a wedding. House was immaculate from top to bottom. Room equipped with TV, en suite shower, hair dryer, huge amounts of wardrobe space, tea coffee making facility in room, then there was a tennis court and crazy golf outside all of which we weren't expecting from a B&B.
Pearl the land lady was lovely, how she keeps her garden looking so well is beyond us. Eggs at breakfast were laid on site on their farm so you can't get any fresher.
All in all it was a lovely place to stay and would highly recommend it to any couple looking for a quiet, relaxing city break.
1 and only flaw was that the bed was slightly squeaky and we are both very light sleepers, other than that it is one of the nicest places that we've ever stayed.
- Lynne (8/5): Farmhouse overnight - Pearle greeted us graciously as we arrived quite late. We only stayed 1 Nightas it was a halfway point to our travels to Galloway. The breakfast the next morning was fabulous. After breakfast, our daughter was able to go and pick up the eggs. She was excited about that. Only thing was we couldn't connect to wifi in our room, you'd have to be in common area for it to work.
- James (10/5): Great B&B - A very nice B&B. Excellent service. Lots of activities.
- Jean (8/5): Nice B&B - Nice location in a rural area of Arvagh. Looks alot like Vermont in this area.
- Catherine (8/5): Rainbow outside my window - Great welcome and great advice on local site for dinner. A little hard to find, but worth the effort. Lots of amenities on the grounds. Comfortable family atmosphere at breakfast. Got a chance to meet other travelers. Woke up to a rainbow outside my window! What a gift!
- Algeee (10/5): Great place to sray - The surroudings are very picturesque. The breakfast was delicious. The bed was very comfy, Pearl the hostess was friendly and engaging. We would love to stay here again.
- Dean (10/5): Nice B&B with great facilities & pleasant owners. - I only stayed one night but thoroughly enjoyed myself. Very pleasant owners and great facilities, terrific location & views. A superb place to relax before I was due to fly home.
- Moira and Terry (10/5): Farmhouse in beautiful countryside. - We spent a wonderful 2 days at The Arches. Pearl and her husband were so hospitable, friendly and helpful, and the breakfasts were amazing! The surrounding countryside is very pretty, and there are lovely views of it from the house which is set on a rise. It is only a few miles from the village where there is a hotel which provides very good evening meals. Pearl has excellent information on the many attractions in the area.
