Guest Reviews
- wendy (9/5): Much more beautiful location than the photos indicated. Lovely refurbished old manor farmhouse. - Gorgeous views, great decor. Sheep and lambs on the long driveway.

- Ann (9/5): - Breakfast was excellent. Host very friendly and welcoming
- Catherine (10/5): - We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this beautiful old farmhouse-style B&B! The property has so much character — charming, cozy, and full of rustic touches that make it feel truly special. The views are simply stunning; we could have spent hours just soaking in the scenery.
The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived — they made us feel right at home and went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed. Breakfast was delicious!
- Ivor (8/5): Excellent value for money, a quiet location, easy parking, warm welcome but one big issue! The bed! - The owner and his daughter were lovely, very welcoming. The house was very clean and lovely and warm. There was tea and coffee facilities in the room. We were able to park right in front of the house so easy access. There was lots of grass to the front of the house for walking the dogs, the whole place was very tidy and well kept. Our main issue was the bed, in particular the mattress. It needs to be replaced with a new one. It was noisy and not comfortable. The towels in the bathroom were also on the small side, big bath sheets would have been lovely to have used after a shower.
- Nolte (10/5): I strongly recommend it! - Beautiful and quiet! Larry was a great host! Be prepared to LISTEN FAST! 😂 We did not dislike anything. It was GREAT!
- Karl (9/5): Ireland Cycling Trip - Beautiful house and excellent hosting from Larry
- Penny (10/5): Well done Laurie!! - Our stay at Dundrum House was a delightful experience. From the very beginning we received a warm welcome from Laurie. Our room was pleasant clean and warm. All our needs were catered for. Breakfast was excellent. A typical “ Ulster Fry” cooked to perfection! We found Larry to be a very genial host and very much valued our interaction with him. If visiting the area again we would have no hesitation in booking Dundrum House!!
- Terri (10/5): - Larry was unique! Wonderfully personable!
- Barry (10/5): Excellent one night stay . Thank you - Very clean and comfortable house located very near to Basil Sheils bar and restaurant.
It was nice seeing the goats and pigs to the rear of the property a great rural feel . Nothing

Nulla. Ci torneremo volentieri.
- Emilio (7/5): -
- Christine (10/5): Stately home in idyllic countryside location with all-around lovely host - It's a toss up between what is the best part of this property: the stately, thought-provoking manor; the idyllic countryside location; or Larry, himself. The home is beautiful--it is solid, comfortable and has loads of period charm. The stables and other support areas were interesting to explore. The home sits among farms and country lanes. Larry's sheep, horses and dogs surround the property. Larry is a kind, generous and entertaining gentleman.
- Eithne (9/5): - We were looked after so well.Anything we needed was not an issue. We were warmly welcomed.Rooms spotless, beautiful views of countryside. So quiet and peaceful. Breakfast in the large drawing room with its beautiful ceiling and chandeliers was spectacular.

Without a doubt we will stay at Dundrum House on our next Ireland travels.

- Annabelle (10/5): Wonderful place, wonderful hosts - Absolutely everything! Larry and Ann were incredible hosts. From the moment I first discovered (in 2018) my family had ties to Dundrum House, Larry responded to my emails and sent back information, which was instrumental to me discovering more about my family history. The house itself is beautiful, and you get a real sense of pride in the Nugent family from the photos on the walls. Larry told us fascinating stories, and both have a wonderful knowledge of the area, giving recommendations for places to eat and visit. His sense of humour and kindness shone through, and we were made to feel like his family. As hosts, they
possibly do more for their guests, and they were both very conscious of the comfort, needs, and wants of each individual. It was a battle to get my daughter to leave until I promised we would return! Nothing.
